Basis Cleaner Clean Face Wash Deep Cleans + Refreshes Facial Cleansing Gels

My only complaint with this product is that it has made my face dryer than usual. I actually have sensitive skin that is also combination oily But...it has dried my face out in certain areas and it kinda makes my complection dull. The product does a great job keeping me from major breakouts but I still have to slather my face in moisturizer and due to having oily skin..I am not used to doing too often! But still 4 Stars!

I did a lot of research trying to find a good wash for my oily but sensitive skin. I was using Burts Bee's acne solutions but it wasn't working. I had a lot of tiny bumps on my forehead (clogged pores) that didnt really amount to pimples but bothered me because of the bumpy/ uneven appearance, and it was literally all over my forehead. I also had a very shiny, oily forehead and nose, with pimples and blackheads on my cheeks. My face would be a grease slick after a half day of work and I couldn't stand it. Now for the good part:

The first week I started using Basis, I was amazed, my face felt refreshed and clean and my forehead would not get so oily during the day. The second week I was starting to doubt it, because I could yet to see any results, my forehead looked a little better but not much different. The oil was under control so I was happy with that and kept using. The third week I started to have my doubts, several large pimples (which I usually dont get) sprung up and wreaked some havoc. I kept washing morning and night with the wash, hoping this was just getting all the bacteria and stuff clogged up in my pores, out, finally. It worked, because once I got rid of the pimples and kept washing with this, I was amazed how quickly they went away, the next day it would hardly be red and the day after that it was mostly gone. Usually if i get a large pimple it will take a week if not more to get rid of it completely. This made them disapear and quick, also, no more large pimples appeared after that. I am now to the point in that time of the month where i would normally Break Out, badly. A few strays, but i see no signs of my normal monthly skin freak out. My oily forehead is under control, my nose is smoother, the pimples on my cheeks are mostly gone except for a few stray blackheads which are getting fewer and farther between, and they dont come back after you get rid of them, whereas before they would always return! I'm very happy this product worked so well for me. It smells great, the mint is very refreshing, didn't break me out, gets rid of the oiliness and pimples for me, and overall my skin is very smooth and soft! i love to touch my cheeks now! Thats the best part, those bumps on my forehead and cheeks drove me crazy, now i can feel how smooth my face is, and its amazing!

I didn't really have high hopes for this cheap product but I was so surprised and this is now my favorite cleanser! It's light but it cuts through makeup and oil like no other. It smells fantastic and it's pretty much all natural. I'm so glad I've found this and I'll never go back to anything else as long as they keep selling it. I have combination skin and it can be a little drying so after I wash my face a night I apply a little coconut oil. I highly recommend it! It's inexpensive and you just might be surprised too.

In 2000 my brother and I were on the onset of puberty induced acne and this product was recommended to him by our doctor. I've never used anything else since.

As opposed to the bar, the gel allows it to better clean all the crevices and pores on your face to wash out any dirt or grease. It is a fantastic cleanser that never irritates or dries out my skin, yet is the most effective tool for getting rid of make-up, grease, and dirt.

It's brightest moment in our long history together was in high school when I would use it to completely remove costume make-up and various paints worn to sporting events from my face in ONE wash, as opposed to multiple washings with soap and water and then vaseline to remove it all.

I've spent an obscene amount of money on facial products in an attempt to help my combination skin calm itself. Basis cleaner clean is light, it smells good, and it actually feels nice when you are applying it. It gets the job done for me, and I can use it multiple times a day, unlike many products because they end up drying out your skin.

I always use a moisturizer afterward, personally, I like cocoa butter.

If you want a good daily facial wash, I would most definitely recommend this product. I have not tried their other items though. The only issue is I always have to order this online. I have yet to see it in a store. eBay does not have bad prices, but shipping usually makes it about the same.

P.S. the healthy skin rejuvenator by neutrogena works well for cleansing too, but you can't (or at least shouldn't) use it everyday.
