Now Foods Green Tea Pomegranate Cleanser

I am a convert to Now Foods products, for the skin, after making a conscious effort to use plant-based and non-invasive cosmetics and beauty aids. Since I enjoy the antioxidant properties of green tea, as a beverage, my sense was that it would be worthy to use on my skin, in a cleanser blended, too, with pomegranate two great, highly nutritious ingredients. This cleanser is creamy, lifts your skin's condition with a fresh, sweet scent and a gentle consistency. You massage it onto damp skin for 1-2 minutes. Then, you rinse thoroughly. I noticed a great transformation. My skin felt like it's cell turnover rate had been heightened. Follow this with the Vitamin C/Acai Toner (also by NOW).

I wanted to try this to help my skin look clearer. I've read that the green tea is an antiseptic and has good benefits along with the pomegranate. This product line is more natural and you'll find it in health and natural stores. I think that the bottle design is a bit of a pain because when your about half way done you have to shake it to get anything out. It would have been better in a tube or pump. The cleanser does make your skin feel fresh and clean. I did break out a bit from it but then again my skin is very sensitive, so just note that if your the same it may happen also.

I think the scent isn't as sweet as i'd have liked or expected. It has more of a slight sulfur smell masked with a little floral. I hoped that the combo of pomegranate and green tea would be a bit nicer but it wasn't, in my opinion. I have the other products like the toner and the day and nite moisturizer which I like and they don't feel oily. But they all suffer from the same scent problem. The toner is the one that smells the worst.
