I love this soap. It makes me feel as though I am walking through a beautiful, heavenly, dainty garden of unbelievable fragrance. The fragrance, the beauty, the loveliness of it all is enough to make me feel as though I have escaped to paradise.

This soap lathers well, has a beautiful fragrance, and doesn't leave me itching. It is very high quality, especially for the price. Just the words "English Lavender" sound heavenly.

I love the smell of lavender.

Yardley English Lavender French milled soap has a true lavender fragrance and makes a very nice lather. The bar lasts quite some time and it will last even longer if it is aged for a few months prior to use (although it will lose some of the smell) so I usually unwrap it and place it in my dresser drawers and linen closet where it gives a clean, delicate scent to the items stored there.

Not only is this a good quality soap, it is readily available and is much less expensive than soap of similar quality imported from Europe. The English Rose and and especially the Lemon Verbena scents are also quite nice but the lavender remains my favorite. If you have stuck with Ivory and have never used a French milled soap, give this a try. Highly recommended.

I purchased this soap for my Mother after she had fussed that she could no longer find in the store where she had always purchased it. It arrived to her quickly and she called to tell me how happy it was and what a great surprise. A couple of days later her home nurse came in and Mom called me to let me know the nurse had loved the smell so much that my Mom gave the nurse a bar of it. She was extremely pleased with the soap.

I am now addicted to this soap. It's perfect...I love the shape and it lasts forever, the fragrance is heavenly lavender...subtle, not overpowering, and the soap is so creamy and is not drying. what more could you want? and surprisingly, the price is not expensive for a soap of this size and quality. I can't recommend it more highly...and I'm such a soap person. I pay as much as $11 or more at Aveda for their soap which I also love, and with this Yardley soap, you can get three large bars for less.

Lavender seems to give me a sense of peace. I just love the scent from either fresh from the garden lavender or in this soap. I get them at our Dollar Tree for $1 a bar a really good deal that I still can't figure out how they accomplish.

I love the soap and how it smells like fresh lavender. It is not harsh (but also not always the best for really dirty skin...) and leaves a faint lavender scent on your body and in the shower.

My kids love it too and it doesn't seem to dry out my skin. It makes for a nice gift in a basket of goodies since lavender seems to be a universally liked scent.
