Neutrogena Rainbath Shower and Shave Body Wash, 8.5 Ounce (Pack of 3)

I have very dry skin and it is thin and fragile so it cracks easily. I searched for a soap that would moisturize without leaving a slimy film feeling on my skin and help it not crack so much. I used every moisturizing soap there was to try including Johnson's Baby moisturizing soap that was recomended by a doctor. Nothing helped or felt good enough until my daughter gave me this big mega sized Blue Neutrogena Rainbath Shower and Shave body wash that she got at Costco. This is the best soap for people with dry skin from diabetic problems. It made my sore skin feel clean, soothed, soft and flexable again. it really revitalized my skin again. My cracked skin healed faster and I did not have to pile on the hand lotions as much anymore. I have used it now for well over 10 years and I just can't say enough good about it. This soap should be recomended to diabetics so they would know about it. The clean fregrance is very nice as well. I love it and have told many of my friends with similar problems to try it and they have agreed that it is fantastic the way it helps moisturize skin so well. I will never use anything else so please do not discontinue it ever. Us older people with skin problems need it. Thank you Neutrogena!

I decide to try this cause it was blue :-) and because most other Neutrogena products I have used have been both superb and unique. I use the original Rainbath often, and it is excellent. A unique feeling and scent of "fresh clean" in a bottle and it seems like it does good things for my skin. I had hoped the blue version would add the ocean or the sky perhaps to this experience, but I was let down. In my opinion there's nothing more (nor anything less) then any other brand of shower/body wash including any old generic "S-mart" version of blue soap stuff in a bottle (and I'm sure Ash would agree with me). By all means,try it for yourself, but you really should try the orignal first so you have a bench mark. This one is a disappointment.

I had low expectations for this soap since combining a shower/shave wash is a tall order but I wanted to give it a try just in case it could deliver. I was hoping for a creamy yet soapy lather that would cling to skin to make the shaving part better. My first problem was the consistency, which was a thick gel. The lather was minimal and I found I had to use quite a bit of soap. As far as shaving, it was completely useless, being just barely better than water alone. The second issue is the smell. I believe Neutrogena was going for a marine scent, but missed terribly as it ended up smelling very synthetic--not fresh or clean in any way. Even for a shower gel alone, this would not be a product I would consider buying again. I use about 9 pumps per shower which is making going through a bottle very quick, but considering my review, I guess that's a good thing.
