In my teen years I was plagued by really bad acne. Now that I'm 24, I no longer have actual clinical "acne", which is a relief. However, my skin is still very prone to periodic breakouts, which is why I'm constantly looking for a good skincare line. Yet most of the anti-breakout products I find in CVS are way too harsh for my skin--the levels of salicylic acid are much too high for my skin. If you're a teenager or a woman older than 35, CVS is the perfect place to find good skincare products at great prices. I've had acne pretty much all my life, I'm 29 now. I've tried everything EVERYTHINGto clear my skin, but nothing has ever really worked. My esthetician recommended the body wash and I liked it and Proactiv wasn't working for me, so I decided to give the clearing wash a try. I bought the trial size, mainly because I'm a grad student so money is tight, and I wanted to try it out before I committed to spending $20-30. I love it, and I am never using anything ever again. Ever. For the following reasons:1) A little goes a loooooooooooooonggggggg way. Like I said, I bought the trial size, and that was in January. It is now April, and I've used it pretty much every day, and I STILL have less than a quarter of a bottle left. A very small amount, a little less than the size of a dime, produces a big lather! It won't seem like it at first, but once it hits your face, there are suds everywhere. Its actually pretty surprising how much a little amount can do. Sometimes I exfoliate before I use the clearing wash, and when I do I need even less (pea-sized). If any of you are worried about the cost, know that volume-wise, you're definitely getting your money's worth.
2) Squeaky Clean! It washes off well and leaves my skin with a very clean feeling. It doesn't dry it out, and its very gentle so there's no irritation. I've never had such a great feeling after washing my face before.
3) Clear Skin. It does what it says it will. After using the product for four months, my skin looks much much better, and my breakouts have been greatly reduced.
4) The scent. Very lightly scented and it smells wonderful.
So, to sum it all up, this product is awesome. I recommend it to anyone who is fighting adult acne, or who has been fighting this battle their whole lives....
