Anyone who has been struck with fear upon viewing the enlarging area of scalp that appears at the parting line as time marches on, could give this item a try. After several months usage of 3 of the items in the Nioxin system the shampoo, conditioner and the leave-in treatment, my hair seems to be getting thicker. This is not a scientific study and may be a case of wishful thinking vs. awful reality. Nioxin, on both its products and its website, makes no claim to increasing hair growth. But in my case, using Minoxidil [which does work!] was no longer an option as I became allergic to the alcohol-based formula. Minoxidil would have been my drug of choice, but Nioxin may be a good option.

Product is great and received on time, not like the product that was lost in shipment from Payless and still do not have product or refund. Better to order from Amazon direct.

I have always had fairly thin hair, but it has gotten worse with age. I use a semi-permanent color to cover grey, and the entire line of Nioxin products have resulted in a noticeable thickening of my hair. The products are expensive, but since my hair has also changed from oily to dry with age, I no longer have to wash it every day which helps with the budget for expensive hair products.
