THAYER Rose Petal Witch Hazel Toner 11.50 Ounces

I'm not one to rave about a product, but this toner really does deserve a great review. I use toner for two reasons; clear acne and clean off makeup. All of my old toners have left me very drynormally because they contain alcohol. Not only is that not the case with the rose petal, it actually has aloe vera which is a moisturizing agent instead of a drying agent. Jackpot!! I'm able to use this with ease and no worries. My skin isn't being damaged as a result of cleaning it anymore...

Since I am in my 30s now, I do take extra precautions with my skin other than just the toner. I also use retinol cream(Witch Hazel Rose Petal Toner with Aloe Vera + FREE Retinol Cream) to keep my skin firm and reduce/help eliminate new wrinkles. My experience has been greatless noticable lines around my eyes and mouth, firmer cheeks. No greasy residue or residual effects either. Toner and the cream go hand in hand.

you have got to try it! I have insane combination skin, with a forehead that gets so greasy you'd think someone had drained 6 pounds of bacon on it and cheeks that get dry, red and patchy if the wind blows a little too hard on them. I dampen a cotton pad with this and stroke it across my skin, and the results are amazing cheeks are softened, forehead is cleared of shiny greasiness and relieved of the bumps that can so often be found there. it's alcohol free and doesn't dry out my skin, either. the smell is an artificial rose smell, which may not be for everyone, but others have remarked that it has that clean soap smell instead. the last bottle I bought lasted me for about 9 months of once daily swabbings, plus whatever portion my daughter has used, so it's also a bargain, even counting the shipping cost!

I've been having a lot of trouble finding good products made by companies that don't do any animal testing, so was I relieved to find that the manufacturer's website states that "all thayers products are vegetarian and never tested on animals". yay!

Thayers Witch Hazel-Rose Petal alcohol-free toner can also be used to clean your makeup brushes. It contains some of the essential ingredients found in a popular makeup artist brand of brush cleaner...witch hazel (a cleansing ingredient) and grapefruit seed extract (known for it's antibacterial properties). What it doesn't have in common with the MA brand is alcohol, which is a very drying ingredient, both for the face and natural hair brushes. I'm a facial product junkie (hello, Sephora addict!) I'm always trying new skin care products and looking for something that will make my combination skin clean, balanced, and fresh. This stuff is by far the best toner I have ever tried. The Clinique stuff always dried out my skin too much (because of the alcohol). And then some toners that are alcohol-free don't actually do anything to clean your skin, so they are worthless. It's hard to find a good one, but this is it!

I use this product after using my cleanser because I want to make sure I get any residue or debris of make-up off. This gets my skin smooth and clean without drying it out. Plus, I find the subtle rose scent to be quite pleasant.

I will absolutely buy this again.

A self proclaimed cosmetic skeptic, I've been using this for 3 months now. I am 48 years old and honestly my skin really does looks years younger. Thayer's witch hazel w/rose has evened out my skin tone, gotten rid of red patches, and oily t-areas. Also, wrinkles are less noticeable now because the witch hazel cleans out the dirt, oils & make-up trapped inside the fine lines which always makes the lines look worse. I also use it on my neck and it has tightened up the skin under my jaw as well.

I like the soft rose scent. It's not too overpowering to me and I follow it morning and evening with a moisturizer. To make application easier, I clean out an old moisturizer jar and put a stack of round gauze pads inside. Then I pour the witch hazel into the jar and cover. The pads are ready & hassel free.

Good thing is it's cost effective, lasts a long time & if you don't like it you're not out a whole lot of money give it to a neighbor for her or him to try!
