Nickel Nickel Morning After Rescue Gel

Nickel Morning After Rescue Gel, 2.5-OuncesI've used this product for just under a year and it's proven its value for such a high price tag. It truly makes you look 10x better for many hours after a long couple of days. And 2.5 ounces may not sound like a lot, but I haven't even used 1/2 of it yet. I've recommended this product to many of my friends and especially coworkers.

I've tried other similar products (e.g., nivea, anthony logistics), and this is my favorite. It's great for morning use after a long night or anytime after significant travel. It has a cooling effect and a slight tingling sensation, and I noticed a markable change in appearance -dark circles and puffiness around the eyes is reduced. Although it's more expensive than some alternatives, it lasts a long time because it only takes a small amount with each use.

I unwisely spent an entire night awake and partying when I had a late lunch date the following day. A first date at that. Needless to say when I was getting ready for my date it became rather apparent that I looked exactly like someone who had been partying all night; not a good way to show up for a date.

Good luck for me that there was a skin care shop in my building. I ran down stairs and asked if there was anything that could help my situation. The sales guy told me that the Rescue Gel was exactly what I needed and he was correct. The results were amazing. I have kept some on hand ever since.

Greetings fellow upscale skincare shoppers,

Let me start out by saying when I purchased this a year ago, I was THAT GUY who was drawn to attractive labeling, expensive upscale brands and positive reviews with absolutely no knowledge of skincare products.

It wasn't until after my skin was continuously dried out that I decided to do a little research about just what was in those products I was pouring money into.

I learned more in a week then most do in a lifetime! And the FIRST THING I learned is to avoid alcohols in moisturizers. So, I looked at my Nickel morning after moisturizer and lo and behold, one of the first ingredients: "Alcohol Denat" (or denatured alcohol).

Now, for those of you who don't know (as I didn't) there are many different types of alcohols. Some are "fatty alcohols" such as auryl alcohol, Cetyl alcohol, Myristyl alcohol and Stearyl alcohol. These are relatively benign to the skin and even provide moisturizing results.

However, there are also "short-chain alcohols" which includes ethanol, SD alcohol, SD alcohol 40 AND Alcohol Denat. These short-chain alcohols are responsible for irritating and drying out the skin. The reason they're in so many shampoos/body washes/conditioners/moisturizers is very simple: They're Cheap.

Then I asked myself, "Why buy an overpriced name-brand moisturizer with an attractive label when in the long run all it does is dry out your skin?"

This ISN'T an advertisement in-disguise for other products. All I'm going to say is that There are far better, cheaper and Alcohol-Free moisturizers on the market (thank God for competition).

I made the mistake once...and all I'm trying to do is help others from doing the same thing.

This product really works. Just spread some on your face, and feel the menthol do its thing. It is most useful for the early morning, after a workout. The lotion absorbs immediately. Very clean and refreshing.
