I am true to a certain skin care line. I ran out of one of the items and it was out of stock when I needed it. So I somehow ended up buying this product. WOW! It's great. It does everything it's supposed to and more. It is a huge bottle and a little goes a long, long way. I'm so happy with the product that I'll be looking at Peter Thomas Roth items to go along with my current skin care line.

Deep Cleansing Cream

Normally I love Burt's Bees products and was excited to try this cleanser. However, I must say I'm not a fan. It gives you a tingly/minty feeling, but the feeling is too strong almost like burning. Bear in mind that my skin is pretty sensitive, so if yours isn't, this may not be the case for you. Because of the burning/minty sensation, I don't leave it on too long just rinse it off right away. It claims to moisturize the skin it doesn't I found it left my skin a little dry. I have never had problems with acne, but lately I have noticed that my skin actually is a little bumpier and my pores look a little larger since starting to use this cleanser. I have switched to Burt's Bees Orange Essence Facial Cleanser after trying a sample for a few days last week I like it much better.

I have been struggling with acne since I hit puberty, and a ton of it. This is the first product I've EVER had work in the least. I'm so excited! After one use my acne had been greatly reduced. Now on day 3, all that's left is some of the larger ones (that have reduced in size every time).

I'm so grateful to Burt's Bees for creating this wonderful product. It's become part of my daily routine.

This is THE best cleanser I have ever used. I have sensitive skin that can become dried out pretty easily by harsh cleansers. I know that being a teenager, but without suffering from acne, and not needing any anti-aging products, it has been hard to find a cleanser that meets my needs. This absolutely fits the bill. Sometimes, I feel like my makeup can irritate my skin, and when I wash my face with this, it actually leaves my skin clean, soothed, and MORE hydrated than it was before. I can't even tell you the difference I notice in my skin if I fall asleep without washing my makeup off and using this cleanser. It's absolutely fabulous. I really cannot say enough good things about this foaming cleanser. You know how when you have rosacea and you just bend your head forward to splash water and your face turns red? With this cleanser that doesn't happen! I use it morning and night and have done so for about a year. It gets the makeup off and leaves nothing behind. I have rosacea and sensitive skin which this product promotes itself as being made for. I gave it a clear shot but found it to be like washing with air the foam did nothing for me. Also, it barely washed my skin and left it oily and actually more irritated.

I use their Positively Radiant line and give it 5 plus stars. It works miracles for my skin and the problems I have. My comment here is that when you have problem skin different products work for different people. If this one does not work for you don't give up on Aveeno. Try the Positively Radiant. All their products are hypoallergenic and oil/soap free so just find the right one for you.

Well I have suffered most my life with acne and have probably tried every face wash known to man.The last product I tried from another well known company made me have a severe reaction where I broke out in a horrible itchy rash all over my face. After going to see the dermatologist she recommended trying one of aveenos natural products that did not have any salycic acid or benzoyl peroxide in it.Well I decided to try this one and im so glad I did. My skin has been breaking out horribly for awhile now and not getting better, I have tried every product out there (including proactive) and my skin would get worse. I even tried to go simple and just use Dove soap no good for me either. I also tried philosophy products and mineral makeup. Most of the products that I was using had some sort of 'acid' in them too, like salicylic acid, which I thought would help but only made my problem worse. I switched from Neutrogena Pore Refining Cleanser to the Aveeno after I read on WebMD that they felt it was the best facial cleanser for sensitive skin. I tend to have mostly dry, though I get greasy in the T-zone, and sensitive skin. It gets red, tight, and dry if I use harsh soaps.

The Aveeno Active Naturals is a very mild and easy to use cleanser. The foaming action feels good and creates a nice lather. The best part is that it rinses off very easily and completely. Which is a boon for dry sensitive skin.

The only qualms I have about this cleanser is that it doesn't seem to last as long as the Neutrogena and the price is a bit high.

All in all... it's expensive, but worth it.

I came across this years ago, at a store, but the product is japanese and thus harder to find than say, an Olay or Neutrogena cleanser. But this is the best face wash i've ever tried. I have breakout prone skin and this does a way better job cleansing than specific acne treatment face washes. It foams up so a little (size of penny or even smaller) goes a LONG way. It leaves your face so scrubbed and clean and fresh. From this girl, with the combination, acne prone skin, i'd recommend this wash!

I bought this in conjunction with the Moisturizer. This foam is one of the most thorough I have tried to clean my oily skin: it removes all make up, leaves the skin soft and not stripped, and smells like a neutral soap. Before I discovered this product, I was already very happy with Ahava 3in1 Mineral Toning Cleanser as my make up remover because it really removes all my make up especially my eye make up and most importantly, it doesn't sting. With other eye make up removers, my biggest problem was the stinging and drying of the skin around my eyes. Since I already use so many Avene products and I know that they are very gentle and effective, I decided to order this. Unfortunately, this so far is the only Avene product that didn't work for me. I ordered this on a whim after seeing it recommended on a tv show. I have a few areas of discoloration, like around my mouth so I'm always on the lookout for a good fade cream. However, I also have very sensitive skin and a smattering of adult acne (yes I know it sucks for me!) so I needed something gentle. Here I am, 6 weeks later and my face is baby smooth--I Kid you not!! I don't know how, but the adult acne is gone. I was getting a bit annoyed with a shrapnel scar, so I looked into scar-fading creams. My doctor prescribed a harsh, chemical peel that would have wrecked my melatonin-rich skin. I highly reccomend this shampoo to anybody who has oily air. It seems like majority of shampoo selections at the store is for dry or damaged hair. I have been searching for something that would not leave my hair oily 5 hours later. This works great! You cannot beat it for the price ! =]

The shampoo that was labeled "for fine or oily hair" worked just fine for my oily hair. They quit selling that and instead they have this one labeled "for fine or thin hair." This stuff adds oil to your hair and it won't wash out. It is like some kind of oil that is super-glued to your hair. I hate it.

Pert has done this in the past. Decades ago they changed their shampoo that did a really good job of cutting the grease to one like this (that keeps the grease in your hair). I quit using their shampoo for ten to twenty years and then tried them again. They had come back with something that worked but now they can't help themselves and again discontinued the stuff that actually cleans my hair. I guess I'll come back in a few decades to see if they changed their formula back.

Background: 29yrs old black female. 15+ year sufferer of moderate to severe acne, acne scaring and hyper-pigmentation. Skin type is very oily and acne prone. Tried OTC, Rx (to include Accutane), Lasers, Peels. Some were pretty affective but came with very severe side effects.

First, I want to express how excited I was about receiving this particular product because I've recently given up on spending THOUSANDS on dermatologist and aesthetician bills, prescription medications, cosmetic procedures, and expensive skin care products. Additionally, I recently discovered why most products just didn't seem to work for me irritating ingredients. So after researching every single ingredient in all of my Rx, skin care and hair car products, I had to toss out 98% of them. Additionally, I've been reading about more natural alternatives and ingredients that are equally beneficial for acne without all the harsh irritating effects. So again, I was especially excited to receive this product as I believed it contained a decent concentration level of vitamin B or at the very least enough of it WITHOUT any counterproductive ingredients.

Well so I thought...

Immediately after opening my package, I zoomed in on the ingredients and was very much disappointed. This product contains Sodium Lauryl Sulfate which is an ingredient used for its "lathering" effects. This stuff is in most skin care products, shampoos, clothing, and dish washing detergents. Well the problem is SLS "is one of the most irritating cleansing agents used in skin-care products" according to the European Journal of Dermatology and the American Journal of Contact Dermatitis. Sure some folks enjoy a nice lather and actually feel as though their skin isn't properly cleansed without it but the truth is that lather has nothing to do with cleansing. Sure some lathering cleanser removes excess oils but doesn't actually cleanse the skin. I have used many Neutrogena products (which are the WORST) that work up a good lather, only afterwards to use a toner, witch-hazel or alcohol and find globs of dirt and dead skin on the cotton swab.

To put SLS irritating effects in perspective, I switched to a shampoo containing zero sodium products and my seborrheic dermatitis is under control and my acne even showed some improvement. The shampoo also contains Tea Tree Oil which may have also contributed to my skin improvements. So, I knew I was on the right track with eliminating certain ingredients and incorporating more natural ones like the Tea Tree and Vitamin B3, to name a few.

Anyhow... I proceeded to use this product in spite of what I knew because I was so anxious to see the results of what the Vitamin B3 could deliver. Plus, I had two very large active nodule pimples near my temple that I was trying to rid myself of ASAP (this is actually an improvement considering prior to revamping my products regimen, I had 4 to 5 on any given day). The product instructions provided an alternate process to treat inflamed, nodule, and/or cystic type of acne which actually is pretty effective. It called for cutting out a small (smaller than thumb tip) corner of the pad, to slightly wet it and place on the pimple until dried, and then removing the pad and rinse. My nodule pimples were gone in 1.5 days which is an all time record. Not even injections from the dermatologist improved my large nodule pimples that quickly. For this reason alone is why I gave this product 3 stars!

So after seeing these results, I thought for sure I could suck up the irritating effects of SLS if the vitamin B3 could improve my acne that quickly. Well, this pad has so much lathering ingredients in it that I had to cut it in half (original size is about 2 x 3 inch rectangle flat, textured swab) which is already very small. It still produced a rich lather and after rinsing my face, I had a white film/residue on my face. Whether this is the SLS or Vitamin B3, I have no idea but I suspect it's the SLS because it broke me out with a gazillion small closed comedones over 90% of my face. However, zero nodule or cystic acne.

Simply, I would recommend this product for spot treatment, especially for nodule/cystic type acne. I would not recommend using this as a facial cleansing and especially not using it twice a day as recommended by the manufacturer. What would be a blast is if the manufacturer would update their ingredients to exclude the SLS and other sodium ingredients within it. Then I bet this stuff would fly off the shelves! And I would certainly give it a 5 star but for now, I think 3 is appropriate.

My 17-year-old son had had a pretty bad case of standard teenage acne vulgaris for a couple of years. It wasn't the sort of awful acne that you know will result in lifelong pockmarks, but he always had a fair number of angry looking pimples at any one time. He'd gone through the standard over-the-counter medications, as well as some prescription lotions, ointments, and oral antibiotics. Nothing seemed to do much good, and a friend of my wife suggested Accutane -an expensive and very powerful oral retinoid with some horrendous potential side-effects (depression, liver damage, etc.). Since payment for the Accutane (at $400/month + frequent visits to the dermatologist to monitor side effects) would have come out of my pocket, and since my son was very reluctant to take the product, I decided to do some research before jumping in. In the course of that research I came across positive study info about the successful use of topical nicotinamide (also called niacinamide, and related to Vitamin B3 or niacin) in treating acne.

I figured this non-prescription treatment might be worth a shot before resorting to Accutane, but when I searched on Amazon, nearly all the niacinamide products were oral (about which I'd read nothing) and the few available niacinamide gels or ointments were being marketed as anti-aging, anti-wrinkle products, not acne treatments. The sole exception was Niapads, which had lots of positive Amazon reviews, although a majority of these reviews seemed to deal with adult acne rather than the more standard teenage variety my son was suffering from. So I placed an order, which was very promptly filled and delivered (this company has a very high level of customer service, with same-day or next-day shipping on every order I've placed thus far).

At first my son didn't really like the Niapads. He didn't care for the perfumed smell (he's a 17-year-old boy) and he found they irritated his face. Based on the Amazon reviews I'd read (several of which noted the same initial reactions), I urged him to keep using them for the full month, and he was willing to give it his best shot in order to avoid the Accutane. At the end of the month, he asked me to go ahead and order another pack -the irritation had subsided, he'd gotten used to the smell, and though his acne was still there, it didn't seem quite as "angry" as it had a month earlier.

It's been about 6 months now and my son's skin looks the best it has in years. Yes, he will occasionally get a pimple, but he no longer has those outbreaks that are what I think of as acne. His face looks clean and clear. So all in all, I would recommend Niapads without any hesitation.

I'm currently on my second set of Niapads. I'm almost 30 with an oily, acne-prone complexion that gets worse depending on my hormonal cycle. I only use one Niapad a day and not the two that they recommend (but I will start using 2/day now). My acne break outs have been greatly reduced and my skin is much softer. I still break out, but I sleep with either side of my face against a pillow every night (it's hard to break that habit).

I read another review that mentioned applying the Niapad at night and NOT rinsing it off, I followed that advice and really think it made a difference. The very first night I used this product I had 3 fairly big pimples and 1 cystic-type one, the next morning they had all come to a 'head' and by the morning after that they were well on their way to clearing up, which would normally have been at least another week. I have accepted that I will never have a perfect complexion but Niapads do make a difference.

Oxy Exfoliating Body Scrub

I am not going to give this product a bad rating just because it didn't work for me, unfortunately many things do not work for me. The active ingredient in this product is common for acne products so if you have mild acne or just prone to break outs every now and then this product will most likely work. However, for myself it didn't help clear my acne, it is not sever but it is constant. If this is the same case for you id recommend a benzoyl peroxide wash, currently I use a foam 5% wash on my back and arms then just switch to regular body wash for the rest of me.

That being said, this product is cheaper here than I have seen in cvs we'd like I said has reliable ingredients for mild acne.

My daughter loves the product and it comes at a good price... I will defiantly be ordering again.... I don't personally use it but she does seem to think it works with out drying out her skin.... She must like it as I keep getting asked to reorder which I do....

I absolutely love this product. I used it during my previous pregnancy and now continue to use it after she was born! The sellers were great and I loved the enclosed tip on not pulling the silver tab off...just pricking it w/ a needle, as this product foams up like crazy with just a drop!

I have acne prone skin during pregnancy. Initially I was hoping that this product can help reducing my acne while being organic and natural. The only complaint I have is with the packaging. It's a bit chintzy, and product easily leaks out of the top. But other than that, good product.

I have used Cetaphil for many years. It's "gentle" and was once recommended to me by a dermatologist. What I didn't like about it was that it never really took my makeup off well. Well, one day, I asked my friend (who has a glowing complexion) what she uses to wash her face with and she recommended this Novena product. I love it! It smells great and doesn't have a lot of chemicals that I try to stay away from. And no, I am not pregnant and do not plan to have any more children! I use this product every night to wash off my makeup and then I use the Cetaphil in the mornings.

The Organic Fruit Face Wash does come out quite a bit when you open the cap and squeeze gently. It lathers so well, that I really only need a drop. So, Using small scissors, I made the smallest cut at the very top (right below the crimped edge on top) and squeeze just what I need out. It's perfect and will allow this product to last much longer!

Although I've never had terrible break outs, I almost always seem to have at least some acne. As I've grown out of my teen years, I grew tired of the gel cleansers I was using. Most of them weren't quite doing the trick: they didn't seem to actually stay on my face long enough to do any cleansing and they smelled awful.

Unlike some cream cleansers, Clearasil's daily wash is not greasy or oily feeling, though it may feel a bit stiff for some. It really stays on my face until I rinse it off and my face feels deep-down-clean after using it.

It also really seems to help clear up my acne, although my skin becomes to immune to products after using them for a while, so I still switch periodically.

Better yet, it doesn't have the harsh chemical scent like many cleansers do.

Overall this is a great product which works well for adult blemishes.

I have dry skin, so was thrilled to see this did nothing to dry my skin, but dry up the problems. I never had acne has a teen, but as an adult I had the occasional bouts due to allergies. With my dry skin this seems to be a headache to control. I got this because I had been through everything Olay, Revson and several other lines, paying small fortunes and nothing helped.

I used this and saw results first time. There is a "tightening" of the pores on first use. My skin looked polished. All blemishes vanished, and my skin was so soft. Smooth like a baby's, not oiling. Second day was even better. Within three days everything was under control and boy am I sold on this.

I have a secret.. I used to be an Aesthetician. When I moved across the country and took a new avenue in my life, I have moved away from the skin care business and do not have easy access (or the funds!) to get the expensive cleansers I used to use...

I've been using this cleanser for almost 2 years and I have not had any breakouts since I've started using it.

Proactiv Solution Deep Cleansing Wash, 8 Oz

I had acne on my chest, back, shoulders and other unsightly places for years. The only thing that ever cleared it up was hours spent under the sun burning it off. I bought the back wash a month ago and was displeased at first, but I stuck with it and a month later I'm happy to say that all the large cists are gone. I have a few small ones that pop up now and then, but they go away within a day (my acne usually hangs around for months).

Everyone reacts diffrently, but I suggest you give it a chance. Just make sure you use it for at least a month or so to make sure that your body doesn't need a little more time to adjust to it like mine did.

I love this product! It's a little rough applying (same texture as the renewing cleanser) but absolutely clears blemishes on the body within a few days. Great great great

I have only been using this product for a week or so and I see little to no change in my skin. It could very well be that my skin problem can not be cured with this product but overall, it seems like it could be a great product.

I purchased this item from a local Target store. That night I cleansed my hair with Miss Jessie's Crème De La Curl Cleansing Crème and followed up with Miss Jessie's Crème De La Curl Conditioner. Since my hair is dry and curly, I noticed that this product didn't strip my hair of ALL the natural oils to leave it squeaky clean. I noticed this product left my hair super moisturized. After following up with the conditioner and towel drying my hair, I noticed that my curls actually held their shape and drastically less frizzy. This product is a little different than what I'm used to (i.e. shampoos that lather and strip everything out of my hair), but I do love it! If you want a shampoo that lathers, try Miss Jessie's Super Slip Sudsy Shampoo. This product is also great because it leaves my curls soft and supple.

this does not dry out hair and leaves you hair feeling very soft. I enjoy the way my hair looks after a shampoo. I suggest using the curly pudding right after it also adds moisture and gives my african american natural hair all the curls I could hope for.

As soon as I went natural this was one of the first conditioners I tried. I've tried some others since, but I always come back to this one. I have no problems with it detangling my hair, and it makes my hair smell good. I also use it as a leave in to get my hair that extra moisture it needs.

I bought this shampoo along with the Super Sudsy and Creme Conditioner and they were all absolutely horrible. They made my hair drier than it was before, bushy, tangled, and generally out of control. The smell of this shampoo is awful and hard to deal with in a warm/hot shower. It is not as creamy as you expect and neither is the conditioner. The Super Sudsy claims to be "super sudsy" but it barely lathers. Overall I was really, really, really disappointed. Back to Dove for me for the time being.
