Simple Eye Make-Up Remover Pad, 30 Count

I recently tried Biore Makeup Removing Towelettes, but that product wasn't able to remove all of my water-proof mascara. However, the Simple Eye Make-Up Remover pads removed all traces of my makeup, even the hard-to-remove mascara. Also, the size of the package is about the same as a compact mirror, which made it even more travel-friendly than other make-up wipes. The product didn't irritate my eye area at all, and, even though it's suppose to be just for eye make-up, it also removed my foundation with ease.

First off, I am impressed that these pads DO in fact remove waterproof mascara. It takes a while, and there's a lot of crumbling involved, but that's the case with any waterproof mascara remover. The reason I gave these 3 stars is because they are just not moist enough. They are barely, barely moist. I always have to take a new pad even though the one I'm using isn't really "filled" with makeup yet -it's just too dry. Removing my waterproof mascara takes, on average, 3-4 wipes, and I don't use the wipes for the rest of my face, only my eyes. I won't likely buy these in the future, but I will use up the ones I do have.

I like the round thin shape of the pad, it is a perfect size and provides a smoother removal. It was fast but I repeated it a few times because I could not remove all the mascara, which has been on for over 12 hours. I needed to use a q-tip to gently clean the rest on bottom lid. BUT I will use these pads, they are safe, did a good job and there was no burning or tearing in or around my eyes. I have used Simple's facial cleanser, and I think this is a better product. I definitely will buy Simple eye make-up remover pads.

I found these eye make-up remover pad had some good qualities but there were a few things that I found lacking as well.

First off the good. I love that they are made and designed specifically for removing eye make-up. They are round in shape and are a pretty good size for removing eye shadow and mascara. I would compare their size to that of a Stridex pad. Another positive aspect is that they are very mild and gentle on the skin. Your eye area is very delicate and I appreciate that this product was made with that in mind. I also liked that the rounds weren't greasy or oily feeling.

My major complaint about this product was that I didn't feel they removed my mascara as well as they should. I used one pad for each eye and I wear regular mascara not waterproof. Even after repeated swipes there was still mascara left on my lashes that I could wash off with water and a washcloth. Another issue I had was that I thought the moisture level was a little low; I would prefer them to be a little more moist. Also, I find the packaging to be a little annoying. After I had opened and close the container a few time, I had trouble with it staying sealed well enough to keep the pads from drying out.

I like the product well enough but I don't think they will be something I use on a regular basis.
