Epicuren Gelle Cleanser (select option/size)

Epicuren Gelle CleanserOn a recent vacation to Hawaii, I noticed that almost every spa I had visited carried this skincare line. I had seen the line before in other top spas I had been to but I never actually tried any of their products until now. I have read online that the line has a long line of celebrity following, including all the girls of SATC (Sarah Jessica Parker, Kim Cattrall, Kristin Davis) as well as Ellen Barkin and Amanda Seyfried. It is only carried by cosmetic surgeons, dermatologists, high end resorts and spas. You can obviously purchase it on Amazon like everything else but you won't find it in your local pharmacy, Sephora, or local beauty salon. To be honest, the packaging looks a bit dated to me and I have always been hesitant to try it. But after seeing it so many times I finally realized there must be a reason all these places are carrying it. I asked the aesthetician what they would recommend as a tester product for me, she suggested I go for the Epicuren Gelle Cleanser.

Epicuren's skincare line is based on enzymes. The technology behind the line is derived from pharmaceutical enzyme research performed 20 years ago on severely scarred burn victims. After observing results on these victims from the enzymes, they took these protein enzyme complexes and applied them to skincare.

The Gelle Cleanser is for oily skin. I really like this cleanser. It's a deep cleansing gel and it foams up quite nicely. It is also free of glycerin which is a nice perk. It removes makeup very well and deep cleans oily and combination skin types. It is not irritating and great for sensitive skin types. You can get a small bottle (which goes a long, long way) for about $15. You only need a little bit of the blue gel to foam up. And given the size of the small bottle and tiny amount needed, its great for travel. The formula may be too drying on dry, mature or dehydrated skin but for me...this is my new favorite cleanser and I am ready to try more Epicuren products.
