The nose strip works well--the plain strip for other parts of the face do not, in my experience. There is a certain perverse pleasure at looking at the tiny forest of what has been extracted from one's skin. But it's easy to screw it up and waste a strip, by having one's face too dry or too wet or by removing the strip too soon, and the strips are relatively expensive. Make sure you have 10 minutes or so to sit around looking like a dope when you decide to apply this.

If you live an active lifestyle, you know that dirt and oil can clog up your pores and leave you with a bumpy and discolored nose. For years I've had bad acne and pimples plague my face but with this and Aveeno Positively Radiant Skin Brightening Daily Scrub 5 oz (140 g) I've had absolutely clear and beautiful skin.
I've used both the nose pads and the face pads twice a week and have seen drastic differences in the smoothness and diminishing of pore size. My skin also feels very refreshed and clean.
This is also a great deal (12 nose, 12 face strips for under $20)!
The only advice I'd give for using this product is to not use it so often that it may damage your skin with constant and prolonged use. Use sparingly and appropriately!

Like many reviewers, I first used Biore strips during my teen years, when my nose first started developing blackheads. Time eventually got my skin (somewhat) under control, and I no longer used them. Now I have both a son and daughter in their teens, and once again I find myself squeezing blackheads (although not my own). I was anxious to try out the Biore strips on them, and I thought I would try a few as well, for old times sake. These strips work as well as I remember, maybe even better. I do suggest using the strips after a warm/hot shower, or after putting a hot, steamy, washcloth on your face to open up your pores. This has always seemed to make the strips pull out more "gunk." The strips work well to pull out dirt and oil that is clogging your pores, although keep in mind that few "big" blackheads will be pulled out. (Big blackheads are usually removed easily by squeezing or using a special tool) Please keep in mind that the same adhesive that is pulling the dirt and oil out of your face can also remove the top layer of skin, or otherwise irriate your skin, so beware.
All in all, this product worked well on my 35 year old skin, as well as the teenage skin of my son and daughter. It does a good job of removing dirt and oil that is clogging up pores, and leaves the skin feeling extra clean. The only precaution is that those with extra sensitive skin should be wary of the adhesive, which may cause irritation.

Here's the most important thing you need to know about Biore deep cleansing pore strips: They're just plain fun, in the sense that watching a horror movie is fun. In a horror movie when the gross stuff starts happening, you may recoil in disgust but still can't help but keep staring in fascination. With the Biore strips, the horror show is seeing what comes out of your pores after you pull the strips off. If your face is like mine, it won't be pretty. The strips themselves are quite easy to use. Just wet the portion of the face/nose you want to apply them to, then peel off the plastic backing, and press the strip to the desired area. The nose strip is cut to fit the contours of your nose; the other strip in the package is a rectangle you can stick on any problem area. Smooth it out, and let it sit for 10-15 minutes. It will dry out and become stiff like papier mache, or possibly a mummy. Then you just peel it off carefully, exclaim over all bristly gunk that got pulled out of your skin, and then rinse your face off.
The critical question, of course, is whether the Biore strips give you cleaner/better skin with regular use. I have no idea, to be perfectly honest. My face *feels* cleaner and smoother where I've applied the strips. But I can't say that I've noticed much visible difference in how my face looks the day after, say. But again, to be perfectly honest, I don't really care, as I get a sense of satisfaction just viewing the aftereffects of my clogged pores becoming unclogged.
