Jane Iredale Magic Mitt

I rarely review anything, but nine months ago someone I trust recommended the Jane Iredale Magic Mitt. At the time it seemed too expensive to me. I am so kicking myself now. I have been using the magic mitt for over a month and I want to tell every woman I know to run out and buy one. I have average skin with hormonal breakouts. For the last few years I've been experimenting with gentler products, a wonderful oil moisturizer at night, baking soda to exfoliate, etc. But plain water and the magic mitt are almost all my face needs now. My skin isn't dried out after I wash my face and it's not oily in the morning. Also even hormonal acne seems to have a much shorter life span. Just using the magic mitt and then dabbing with tea tree oil on a q-tip resolves the problem spot in 1-2 days. I use a pretty strong sunscreen on my face and the mitt removes it but I had to get used to how it feels. When I rub the mitt on my face, it does remove makeup and sunscreen but I don't get the squeaky clean feeling that I did with soap. That took some getting used to. However my face isn't dried out and tight and I don't need to put a moisturizer on right after washing, either. I'll take happier, less problematic skin over squeaky clean any day. Plus look at how much I'm going to save by not buying all that face wash.

This is the greatest product ever. I have one that I've used everyday for the past three years and works the same as the first time. You can wash it as much as you want in the washing machine. No soap required, just wet the cloth and your mascara and eyeliner comes right off!

well... i read some review and wanted to try it.

Then i bought it with excitement!!! However, it removed most of my make up, but when it comes to waterproof eyeliner or regular mascara.. It was not easy to remove at all. So I am disappointed at the product.

I have to wear mineral makeup because I'm allergic to everything else, even the so-called hyper-allergenic brands! That being said I tried to use regular cleansers for sensitive skin.
