I have extremely oily skin, and this was just an on the spot buy... I got it for $8.99 at a beauty supply store, and thought, hmph... I have tons of masques that I love.. that all claim to work wonders for oils and clogged pores... So I had no intention on actually using this product in my facial regimen... I tried it as a cleanser first... And it was alright. The product has tiny scrubbers in it, that arent too harsh... They lightly exfoliate, and arent too abrasive... It definitely left my skin with a nice, natural matte finish, but I didn't like the slight residue it left on my skin... Nonetheless, it did help to reduce shine... Second, I tried it as a masque. I am a big fan of two other masques that I own and wasnt expecting much from this... I must say... This is perfect as a daily pre washing masque... It gives a slight tingle that I love, and it really draws out the oils in my skin...

I normally apply this to my face, day and night, leave it on for about 10 minutes (even though it only says 3), and then I was it off... It never cleanses my face completely but I don't mind. Then I was my face with a loofa scrubbing glove, with either another Neutrogena cleanser or a biore cleanser... And man, that works wonders for me... Not only is my skin left matte, but it's clear, and it feels fresh... I feel like my skin in cleansed well, but not stripped like it did with other cleansers... This is good especially for the summer coming... I can't have my skin feeling completely bare, because that's when it produces more oils... All in all... I wouldnt recommend this product as a cleanser.. It sucks... lol.. But as a daily masque.. IT IS AMAZING... My skin has gotten ridiculously clear... (I am not acne prone, but ive seen a difference)... Also, my skin tone has been evening out beautifully... It looks brighter, and I love it... Go Get It ladies!!!!!! 5/5 as a masque... 2/5 as a cleanser....

I have very oily skin and for last twelve years I have tried so many different brands but my face gets shiny right within half an hour. This one is the best cleanser so far. I was surprised to see the results. However, one trick is that after using this scrub I have to wash again with other cleanser to wash away the oil this scrub has extracted from pores. I highly recommend this and I am waiting for Neutrogena to come up with some sort of shine control moisturizer based on same rice protein technology.

My skin has always tended toward being oily. I would wash my face and minutes later would have a sheen appear so I was excited when I saw the commercial for this product. I've tried it for 2 weeks now and notice a considerable difference between days when I have washed my face with this and days where I have not. After washing my face I'm able to go about my day (up to 10 hours) with a shine-free face. It has a slight smell to it but nothing floral or harsh it simply smells clean. It's been a while since I've used a neutrogena product but I beleive they all have a similar smell to them.

I usually buy skincare from Sephora, but wanted to cut expenses. Some of my friends told me how great Neutrogena spf lotions are so I gave a try. This kit was a great buy! Not only the price is good but also all 3 products are doing awesome job.

Cleanser: a pea size gives nice foam and removes all face make up and most of eye make up, doesn't make skin dry and tight. The container is 6 oz and will last a while. The scent is not the greatest but nothing offensive.

Eye cream: leaves skin around eyes moisturized, lightweight, but because of AHA I use it in the evening.

Face SPF contains retinol so exfoliates dead cells, makes skin soft and glowy, also lightweight, there is no residue, skin looks healthy and perfect for regular foundations as well as mineral make up. It clears up any bumps and pimples. Normally retinols should be used as a night treatment, because they make skin photosensitive. Sometimes I use it as a night moisturizer. During the day I follow with extra sunscreen if I'm outside for longer period.

Overall I am very happy and definitely will try other Neutrogena products.

I have never reviewed a skin care product in my life, but this product is so amazing I want to shout it from the rooftops! I am 31 years old. When I was in my late teens my dermatologist recommended Neutrogena Healthy Skin Anti-Wrinkle Cream with SPF 15, just for moisturizing my face. I loved it and used it for 4 years, and then of course I thought I found a "better" NEWER product so I changed and from then on I kept changing and changing and now 8 years later I have found myself back at the same products that were recommended for me in my late teens. I always price check my local store and Amazon before I actually buy. While checking Amazon, I found this set! Amazing deal, for the face wash, the face lotion, and the eye cream I paid $12.00, which is what you pay for just the face lotion alone, in store and even on Amazon. I stocked up on this deal because I will not be changing my face regimine anymore. I normally have bigger pores and red splotches but when using this set it has made my skin SO soft, made my pores almost invisible, and cleared up the redness in my face, so much so that people have noticed and complimented me on how great my skin is looking.

The only downside to this set is that I REALLY am not a big fan on the smell of the face wash. It does it's job and is actually really gentle on my sensitive skin but it has a really strong, unpleasant smell in my opinion. I use it because it does work well, but like I said I don't like the smell, which I can easily get over for the price.

As you age, you grow from experiences and I have leared, if it's not broke don't fix it. This is a great system. My biggest concern now is that it will get pulled off the marked to be replaced with a "new updated" version that of course won't work as good as the older version!

Love this cleanser. My derm. recommended glycolic acid and salicylic acid for my skin and this cleanser offers both! The glycolic acid sloughs off the dead surface skin cells preventing clogging of pores and the salicylic acid helps with any minor breakouts that might occur. This is such a great product for mature women (I'm 44) who still unfortunately get breakouts but want a product that's good for their aging skin texture. I also use the Neutrogena Anti Wrinkle/Anti Blemish cream in conjunction with this cleanser. Highly recommend this!

I purchased this cleanser along with the nightime cream and I am not convinced of the cleaning powers in this cleanser. I don't feel much "scrub" happening and sometimes after using this I will use a pad from Neutrogena and see makeup still coming off (and I do not pile makeup on my face).

In the end the scent is nice and this moisturizes, but as for deep cleaning, I'm not sold.

This is a nice little facial scrub.

It has an extremely gentle texture. The cream goes on smoothly a little accomplishes a very nice facial cleansing.

This well priced product is very nicely balanced and equivalent to higher priced skincare products. The lotion has a mild granularity which helps it accomplish the task of a rejuvenating facial scrub. However, it goes on smoothly and is not irritating to the delicate skin of the face.

The container lends itself readily to use in the shower-apply and rinse off and enjoy smoother skin.

Nice product, give it a try-no downside. Aveeno has made many improvements in its skincare line!

Used this product for about 2-1/2 weeks before writing this review. I can easily see one tube lasting for 2 or more months as only a tiny bit is needed to massage into your face and neck when the skin is already wet.

I am very sensitive to allergens and have a problem with many chemical scents. The barely there scent is pleasant and only noticeable when I brought the tube up to my face for a sniff test. I don't notice it at all when applying the product.

My face does feel smoother than when just using my moisturizer alone, and I was surprised that this was accomplished with so little exfoliating granules. Although part of me wishes there was a tad more of them per application.

Apparently the detoxifying aspect of it works since I've broken out in a couple of places. That too seems to be gentle or I would have expected a much larger break out at once to get rid of the toxins in my pores.

Would I purchase this product when it runs out? Yes, I believe I will.

I love Aveeno products, and this one is no exception. The exfoliating particles are very fine, so you don't feel like you're sandpapering your face, and it smells amazing! I used to be able to see the dead, dry skin on my face after I put on my makeup, but I can't see that anymore...and I've only used it 3 times! I use this scrub every morning and night. The smell is clean and not overpowering. The scrubbing beads are tiny enough to effectively slough away dead skin cells without leaving your face looking and feeling raw. My one gripe about this cleanser is that it dries out parts of my skin. I have a very oily t-zone and the cleanser actually balances out this area very nicely, but the drier parts of my skin, i.e. the corners of my nose and lips, become ridiculously dry after washing my face. It got to the point where my moisturizer couldn't cut it anymore. I love how this scrub doesn't break me out, but maybe I should invest in a more heavier moisturizer or just get another cleanser.

I tried this after reading a Paula Begoun (the Cosmetic Cop) review. It was right up there with La Mer at $65 for half the amount. I love it. It is better than Cetaphil. It washes off cleanly and leaves my face clean without any residue or tightness.

Let me start by saying I've only used this cleanser for a few days, but I have to say so far it has really reduced the side effects (drying, peeling) that I've had with Retin A. I have been on .025% for the last month and have tried several different cleansers since starting. Cetaphil (which of course was the first recommendation of my Derm) Nuetragena Extra Gentle, Purpose, and now the CeraVe. This one is by far my favorite!! I bought the AM & PM lotions as well and I love them!! For those of you actually using Retin A, here is my routine... Wash with CeraVe hydrating cleanser, apply the CeraVe PM moisturizer (yes, I put it on before the Retin A per my Derm's instructions) wait 30 mins, and apply a pea size amount of the Retin A over my entire face. In the morning I wash again with this cleanser and then apply the CeraVe AM lotion with SPF 30. In the 2 days that I've been using the CeraVe products I have noticed much less flaking on my skin and no redness whatsoever! Let me say too that I started the Retin A slowly, every 3 nights for 2 weeks, now I'm up to every other night for 2 weeks and then plan to move to every night as long as the flaking remains at bay. The CeraVe also seems to be helping with the intial breakout I got from the Retin A (have not had acne in years! was put on the Retin A for sun damage & fine lines)

I also talked my husband into trying this cleanser and lotions, he has rosacea & dermatitis on his face and after 1 night his skin appears better. I will be buying the CeraVe products for him as well, as I don't share!! LOL

I hope this helps someone starting out on Retin A. Don't get discouraged and give up! Your skin will get worse before it gets better, but I'm already seeing a reduction in the pores on my face and It's only been about 3 weeks!

Want Mary Kay Extra Emollient Cleansing Cream Discount?

I have used this cleansing cream for YEARS! My FAVORITE! This site was waaaaay overpriced and the shipping of $5.99 was outrageous for one item. The cleanser just "melts" on your face but doesn't leave it dry or sticky. The MOST I ever paid for this cream was $11.00. This was $18.95 plus overcharge shipping. I will not order from here again! My issue was the price & the shipping. Since this cream has been discontinued, I was desperate. Love the product, but no more!
