L'Occitane Cleansing Hand Wash

I like this A LOT. I buy it when I can. Now, to be honest, the item I bought does not look like the one pictured in that the label is different. L'Occitane changed their formula on the lavender a few years ago and so I refuse to buy the new products. They added other things to it and on me, it now smells like urine! So I buy the hand wash in original formula. I can no longer buy the bath gel in original formula, nor can one buy the eau d'toilette in the original formula. And some years ago, they discontinued their wonderful lavender perfum oil. I hate when companies can't leave a good thing alone!

Kiss My Face Soap Bar Pure Olive Oil 8 oz.

The 8-oz size can get a little hard to grasp in the shower... so I often get the 4-oz version.

Anyway, I LOVE the smell. It's invigorating and doesn't dry out my skin.

Love everything about the product. But has a strong almost petroleum like smell. I don't mind it really but some other family members gave it thumbs down. Leaves skin clean and soft minus all the nasty chemicals most soaps have.

Gratiae Organics Facial Cleansing Lotion, 6.8 Ounce

I am a big fan of this product range. This particular cleanser has a lovely texture, subtle scent, is gentle yet effective. I have reasonably sensitive skin and have no problems with this cleanser or any of the other Gratiae products. Only need to use a small amount, so economical too!

This is my second bottle. It last a long time so you only have to use a little. I really like it alot and will buy again.

I decided to try a gentler cleansing routine after watching the famous youtuber Lisa Eldridge. I had never even heard of a cleansing lotion before. Because I am on Accutane, my skin is very dry, delicate, and prone to peeling. I stopped using my regular cleanser altogether.

I put this on when I want to remove my makeup. I massage it in for about 10-20 seconds and then wipe my face clean with a damp wash cloth. It powers through longwear makeup with a little massaging. I find it so much more relaxing to use than a traditional cleanser because I don't feel rushed to get it off my face. It's not soap. No running water or vigorous washing needed to remove it. It doesn't get in my eyes, either. The smell is pleasant and not too overpowering. Not floral or soapy. I can smell a hint of aloe, but the dominant smell is something else. It's very clean smelling.

After starting this regime, I've noticed that my face has stopped with its constant flaking and peeling. It feels normal and hydrated. When I go back and think about when I used to cleanse every night to get my makeup off, I have to wince. My skin was so dried out!

Skin Food Egg White Pore Mask

I have oily skin with blackheads/whiteheads. The mask really helped clean out my pores and left my skin feeling tight and clean. The mask spreads out smoothly (no beads) and it contains albumin (from egg whites) that renews and softens the skin. I am very satisfied with this mask.

This product does do the job of making your pore look smaller after you wash it off. This last me for 2 months since I don't use it daily but 2x a week. Your face will look brighter after washing and doing the mask. But like most products, the result (brightness) will only last a few hours.

Shikai Natural Moisturizing Shampoo -- 1 Gallon

Not sure why I didn't just order the gallon jug before--instead I've been buying these shampoo bottles one at time.

The shampoo is terrific. Of all of the brands of shampoo that they had at our local natural product store, this was the only brand that had a very clean ingredient list. My husband is allergic to MSG, so we both avoid hydrolyzed ingredients, etc, and although he doesn't actually use this, I feel better about it because I know I'm comfortable with the ingredients.

The gallon jug is great. I think I just paid .23/oz (vs .53/oz for subscribe and save in 12 oz bottles, or .55/oz retail). I think I'll be using shampoo for the next several months, so why not live wild and buy a bunch of it?

I can't tell a difference between Shikai moisturizing and everyday formulas. I think last time I had both bottles around I compared and the ingredient lists were the same...but they probably just do different ratios of something.

Anyhow, this is great stuff. Highly recommended.

Clarisonic Mia Sonic Skin Cleansing System-Tangerine

I can honestly say this is the best thing I ever bought for my skin. I've been using it for a month now and I'm very happy with it. I think every person should own one, like we own tooth brushes. My black dots, big pores, old scars, small wrinkles and uneven skin tone just disappeared. My skin care products seem working better after I cleanse and massage my face. It is amazing, you'll see!

Now my recommendations:

1)I don't really see the point of using Clarisonic on the regular basis before you are 30.

2)I would recommend to start with the sensitive brush, especially if you have sensitive skin or acne, like I do.

3)With Clarisonic your skin is cleansed mechanically. Technically, using Clarisonic is the same as using a scrub, only the finest. This means don't overuse it! again, especially if you have a sensitive skin or acne. Just follow the instructions, 1 minute a day is really enough, with occasional longer 2-3 minute procedures.

4)Mia will do the job, it is compact and literally made for you hand; I love the colors; and it's the cheapest. The magnetic charger is pretty cool, too.

5)Don't forget to wash the brush.

I bought the Clarisonic Mia about a month ago. I used it for 3 days and really wasn't sure if I could see a difference in my skin. I sent it back to Sephora and realized very quickly that it was making a HUGE improvement in the texture of my skin and the visibility/cleanliness of my pores. When I decided to purchase it again I couldn't wait until Christmas as originally planned! I was beyond delighted to see the Mia2. I love, love, LOVE the fact that it has a timer similar to the full-size Clarisonic, and I love that it comes with a travel case! The travel case is hard plastic and really does make you feel comfortable just tossing it in a bag. The Mia2 also has two speeds, though I typically just use the lower speed.

I can say now that I've been using it for about a week, the Clarisonic is definitely one of the best tools I've invested in. Every day it looks like I've had a facial! I had uneven texture around my temples and on my forehead near my hairline my skin has been completely smoothed in those areas now. My husband, who is a great man but really just doesn't notice certain things, said to me the other morning, "Wow...your skin is so peachy and clean. You're glowing." Point for Hubs! ;)

I've tried just about every skin care "system" on the market but they always made my acne problem worse. As I got older, I began to develop cystic acne and dark patches on my cheeks and forehead. I had no idea that products like Clairsonic and the Olay scrubber existed until I went for my first facial. At first, I thought about going for the Olay brand because it is so much cheaper. Where I spent $10 more and received a really fresh and active product. Sometimes a $10 savings isn't worth the grief..Learn from my mistake...That is what feedback is about. Not slamming other vendors, and lying.

It does everything it's supposed to and more. It is a huge bottle and a little goes a long, long way. I have dry skin that is also a little sensetive and this product really works wonders for me. I have been using this for my face for over 10 years. It is very inexpensive (especially compared to other cosmetic brands) and cleans well without irritating or drying the skin. I also used it on my 3 kids. It comes in handy on the changing table, especially when the wipes were not quite "wet" enough to do the job! It is also great for any spot cleaning anywhere on the body without rinsing. It can just be wiped off without leaving any residue. It is very gentle, even for newborn's skin.

Cetaphil make a great line of products. Almost everyone can use them, because there is no fragrance, colour or anything else to irritate your skin. This cleanser is no exception.

It's actually got no real fragrance, but you can smell the natural smell from all the neutral ingrediants in it. It feels nice going on the skin, but if you have heavy make-up on, it's not the best remover. You should probably use this either only in the morning before applying make-up, or if you use a non-heavy make-up.

I use this often I love how my skin doesn't feel tight or dry after using it and I lent it to a friend one time who has very sensitive skin, and she had no problems. Give it a try. It makes a cheap alternative to expensive cleansers that do either the same job or a less superior job. This is great.

This product only really starts working after about a month. It really smooths my skin. I use it once per day and a different cleanser for the other time. It acts as an exfoliant and really makes my skin smoother, but after 1 bottle my skin starts to adjust and i need to give it a break, use something else and then go back to it to see the same results. One bottle will last you maybe ~4 months because you only need a small pea size amount each time.

I've been using this DDF wash for 3 months now, usually at night so as to avoid exposing myself to the sun. Contrary to my fears, this product didn't dry out my skin, even if I added little water to create the foam. Since I've started this wash, I no longer needed to apply masks to get rid of dead skin cells. Without the layer of dead cells, skin products can absorb much better into the skin. I've been using this for a few years now and my skin is clear because of this product.

Suave Naturals Conditioner 22.5 fl oz (665 ml)

I use Lorraine Massey's "Curly Girl" method to take care of my kinky-curly 4a hair and adapted her conditioner washes (or washing with conditioner in place of shampoo). The theory is that shampoo has too many drying surfactants. Conditioner, on the other hand is not so drying, and still has the ability to cleanse.)

Suave's Tropical Coconut conditioner is wonderful for many purposes. Add amla, maka, kalpi tone or other ayurvedic powders to Suave Tropical Moisture, and leave it on overnight for a really good deep conditioning.

This conditioner also helps to detangle my hair when I comb it under a stream of water during my showers. It smells sweet, like coconuts (which probably comes from the fragrance and coconut extract). The consistency of this conditioner is a medium-thick consistency. It leaves my hair soft, moisturized and with a slight sheen after use.

This conditioner is not "natural" but it has humectants like cetyl alcohol, glycerin and honey. It also contains silk proteins (to strengthen hair). Rosemary and nettle are included to promote scalp health and hair growth. Good conditioner for a low price.

Note, just because it works for my hair, it may not work for you. Please do a test to see if this one works for you.

If you read other reviewer's comments you'll find the actual ingredients are chocked full of chemicals; "Naturals" seems to be a misnomer. I must admit I like this product anyway. It is an economical multi-purpose item. It smells great and is:

+ an excellent shaving lotion, cheaper than most shaving gels.

+ a good light conditioner

+ a curl reviving mist when mixed with water in a spritzer: 1 part conditioner to 2 parts water and scrunching works for me

+ a deep conditioner when mixed with your preferred oil (jojoba, almond, olive, coconut...), apply and wrap hair in warm towel TWICE or about 15 minutes

+ a leave-in conditioner for ends only!

+ a decent value

Downside of the product:

it's prone to build up and requires periodic use of clarifying shampoo.

needs to be alternated with another conditioner, I use Mane & Tail as well as Aussie 3 Minute Miracle.

It's only 4 STARS because it's slight residue doesn't do well for me on hot humid Texas days; mixed with my scalp perspiration it gives me the "cooties". Does better for me in the cooler weather.

FYI: When co-washing a la the Wen System way make sure you wet your hair and scalp for about TWO minutes BEFORE you apply the conditioner. The water dissolves/removes other products and allows this to both work and rinse better.

You get what you pay for an excellent conditioner at an excellent price. I used to spend a gazillion dollars (Well, maybe not exactly a gazillion, but close to twenty bucks) on conditioners for my shoulder length, fine but thick hair that likes nothing better than to tangle beyond recognition after washing it in the shower. Suave makes the tangles comb out easily.

I used to think the expensive ones were much better for my hair than the "grocery store" brands. Then when traveling and not being able to find my shampoo in an "under 4 oz." size that I could carry on the plane I decided to wait until I reached my destination to buy some shampoo. I bought this one because I like the name brand that it is comparable to, but also because it was cheap and I wouldn't feel bad about leaving a good portion of it behind at the end of the trip. (I gave the remaining shampoo to the person at the hotel front desk).

I was so surprised to find that this shampoo left my hair just as soft and manageable as the more expensive brand. I couldn't tell the difference! Still, I thought maybe it was just the difference in water or the weather at the place I was staying on the trip. I bought the shampoo again at home when I ran out of my salon brand and found that it performed just as well with the local water, weather, etc. That was 6 years ago and I have been using Suave shampoos and conditioners ever since. I haven't found a single one that I don't like and I've saved a bundle on shampoos and conditioners.

Basis bar soap for sensitive skin is wonderful for anyone with dry skin too. I have very dry and sensitive sky and was told by my doctor to use this soap. I have been using it for about two years and I LOVE it. I recommend it to everyone, really because it doesn't leave a film.
