Pelindaba Lavender Body Wash (Shower Gel) with Organic Lavender Essential Oil

I know it's a bit expensive, but this shower gel is totally worth it. I bought the big size, and it's probably right for the price. The lavender is from a local (washington state) farm, which satisfies many of my hippie impulses, but the most important part is HOW DRATTED AMAZING this smells! Yeah, it cleans your body, but it's easy to get lost in the rich, deep, herbal, pleasant, lavender ... way better than most lavender soaps, which smell like grandma's attic or something.

It lathers nicely but not a whole lot, and it doesn't last on your skin too long after you get out of the shower, but while you're in there soaping up! OMG.

The shampoo is wonderful! Goes on easily, washes great and rinses out fast. It does not have scent and it feels clean.

The conditioner worked wonderfully for my daughter's super hard to untangle hair without any other product usage. I was able to comb her hair easily. She did not care for the smell (or lack of it), but I loved it!

Neutrogena Oil-Free Moisture, Sensitive Skin, 4 Ounce

My skin is very sensitive but also prone to break outs in the t-line. I tried lots of different brands and even the same brand's different products (loreal, nivea, olay, neutragena, anew, almay, ponds etc). I didn't try more expensive products (such as shiseido, lancome, guerlain, dior etc) because I don't like spending that much on moisturizers. What I look in a moisturizer is

1. it should be dermatalogically tested

2. and hypo-allergenic,

3. it won't clog pores and

4.to do its job without break-outs.

Within this criteria and within my price range, this product is a good one. I gave this product 5 stars because I'm buying this for the third time and don't have any complaints.

I started using this product along with Neutrogena Extra Gentle Cleanser and Neutrogena On-The-Spot Acne Treatment Vanishing Cream. I can say this regime saved me, thank you Neutrogena! I used to use the Sensitive Acne-Free system but after awhile it just stopped doing it for me. I researched A LOT of products, looking to make sure harmful chemicals and all that were not present and I basically found all three of these products to be some of the best on the market, that are on the cheaper side. This is the last thing I use in my regime and I really love the easy pump bottle. Sometimes it dispenses a little too much for my liking but you can always do a half-pump or whatever your face needs are. It goes on nice and smooth and doesn't leave a dry or stiff feeling after it soaks in. I also like how you turn it to be able to dispense it, then turn it back to close it up; makes it very portable. I actually didn't buy this product off of Amazon, I get it at Walmart and it's about $9 dollars, so this 2 pack on here is a little bit better price. I wished it were cheaper but hey, this lasts me a long time, I'm guessing at least 4 months, maybe more, so that is impressive! To help you gauge the time it will last you, about 95% I wash my face once a day, sometimes I will wash it twice, just depends. But overall, a great product, decent price, doesn't leave my face red, dry, itchy, or stiff. I also like the fact that it is both oil-free and fragrance free! Definitely would reccommend this product 100%!

I have sensitive skin that seems to be becoming more and more sensitive as time goes on. I've tried lots of different products claiming to be great for sensitive skin, but those claims don't usually hold true (they either make me break out or itchy or have scents, etc. in them that are irritating....or are for more mature skin) but this stuff does! It moisturizes without being greasy or causing irritation. I've been using it for about a year now and I've never had any problems with it. Usually lotions will cause me to break out in a purple patchy rash around my mouth, but this doesn't at all. It does need a few minutes to really absorb into the skin after applying it though (at least before starting to put on make up or whatever). Definitely recommend!

I originally gave this product 5 stars; however, after a few months' of use, I think 3 stars is more appropriate.

This lotion hydrates my face quite well, but I recommend that you only use this at night since it leaves your skin feeling and looking really greasy (and there's no sun protection). It does not make my skin break out, but, even though it says it's for sensitive skin, when my skin gets a little on the dry side it really hurts to put this lotion on as in it burns! Anyway, I still think it's an overall decent product, but I have moved on to new and better products.

OMG! This product is AMAZING!! I have never used a hair mask that left my hair so hydrated! I have dry curly hair, and I bought this in a kit from jade beauty supply, after I used it my hair was completely frizz-free!! And that is a miracle for me, because my hair tends to frizz up after washing it and air drying it. But not any more with these macadami oil products! Yes, they are expensive, But they are worth it! I've used so many expensive brands, like redken, joico, paulmitchell, but nothing ever left my hair like these macadamia oil products. i decided to try this product b/c of the other reviews, and i do think that this mask works just as well as morroccan oil, or bumble & bumble curl concious or creme de cocoa masks, which i have been using for a while. The great thing about the macadamia oil mask is 1) the price, you cant beat it and 2) it really does make your hair very very soft & silky & 3)the jar is huge! i have thick, frizzy, curly, dry red hair, and i've used so many expensive products on my hair to try and tame it. this mask is very thick & coats well. plus you get a huge jar for a fraction of the cost of what the other masks are. the reason i took off 2 stars for this product is b/c it has a very very strong scent. I prefer products that are frangrace free or just have whatever natural scent the ingredients give it, i cant stand scents, especially floury perfumy scents like this one has. i used this mask last night, and the scent has stayed with me all day, giving me a headache. if you are sensitive to scents or fragrance, i dont recommend this mask. but the price, quality and size of the jar definatly make this a great product.

I had high hopes for this mask and it didn't disappoint. I left it on for much longer than the recommended 7 minutes probably closer to 30 minutes. My hair was just that dried out. Afterwards, my hair was so silky smooth and soft it didn't even resemble its' former self! Leaving it on that long, it did kind of dry to my hair and I probably had to rinse it longer than if I had just left it on for the 7 minutes. About a week later, I used it on my daughter's hair, left it on extra long again, but this time I put a shower cap over it until I rinsed it out. The shower cap kept it from drying to the hair so that's what I'm doing with from now on. This is just an amazing product and I look forward to using it!

I came across this years ago, at a store, but the product is japanese and thus harder to find than say, an Olay or Neutrogena cleanser. But this is the best face wash i've ever tried. I have breakout prone skin and this does a way better job cleansing than specific acne treatment face washes. It foams up so a little (size of penny or even smaller) goes a LONG way. It leaves your face so scrubbed and clean and fresh. From this girl, with the combination, acne prone skin, i'd recommend this wash!

I bought this in conjunction with the Moisturizer. This foam is one of the most thorough I have tried to clean my oily skin: it removes all make up, leaves the skin soft and not stripped, and smells like a neutral soap. I've used this scrub for almost 3 weeks and I love it. I've integrated the scrub into my nightly routine 3 days out of the week. When I first tried it I noticed the smell wasn't the most pleasant. It doesn't have a horrible smell, I think I'm so used to other companies putting fragrance into their products to make them smell good. The smell reminds me of a natural plant odor. I agree with the other reviewer about the thick film it leaves on your face, but I thought it was great because it was very moisturizing and felt great. My skin felt extremely soft after using this scrub. If you want a cleanser that leaves your face squeaky clean and dried out, this product is not for you. I first tried the Burt's Bees 'Deep Cleansing Cream' with chamomile and soap bark, which really grew on me and I loved, but decided to switch things up when I ran out. To put things simply, even after buying this product, I found myself trying to squeeze whatever was left from my deep cleansing bottle. I liked the idea that this one was for acne, and although I haven't really had any breakouts since using it, it just left my skin not feeling very clean. Definitely agree with the greasy feeling it leaves. Another review here mentions that it's due to a certain product in it, which ultimately is good for your skin, so knowing that it feels more justified, but still...not my favourite facial cleanser.

Earth Therapeutics Hydro Exfoliating Towel

This cloth is very tin and long. I like that I can grab both ends and pull it back and forth to scratch my back like a bear. When I recently had a self-tanning-fiasco (was told that it looked like I had been out climbing trees) this towel was my savior and removed almost all of the orange smears and the tops of me feet and ankles where it really looked like I had stepped in something nasty. The cloth rinses clean easily and goes into the washing machine with no issue. Also, the times I have forgotten to wash it for a while, I have never had it sour in the shower like washcloths can. So I guess it is somehow anti-microbial, or at least resistant to getting stinky.

I'm a big fan of exfoliating to remove the dead skin cells that tend to clog the skin and make it look dull. I had been using an exfoliating brush for washing and an exfoliating back brush (not the type with the long wooden/plastic handle but the one that's a long continuous bristle with a handle at each end). Since they were out of my usual back brush, I picked up a single pack of the hydro towel to give it a try. Its length is designed for self cleaning your back. I wasn't expecting much but I was very pleasantly surprised by:

1) its light weight. You can ball it up in your hand and use like a shower sponge but it does a great job exfoliating while cleaning and it feels invigorating!

2) It lathered up great with only a little bit of shower gel. I wasn't expecting such a quick and heavy lather so I put more on it than I should. My next thought was wondering how long it would take me to rinse all the suds out.

3) The lather rinsed out quickly and cleaning! No rinse, squeeze, rinse, squeeze to ensure I don't put away a soapy towel.

The hydro towel is durable and dries completely very quickly (unlike bath brushes, sponges, loofahs which can harbor bacteria). So I have now replaced my back brush and body brush, wash cloth and all other shower sponges with the hydro towel. I definitely recommend this product!

I went to Whole Foods today because GNC didn't have the supplements I needed. I stocked up on natural skin products galore. I remember reading about these towels, so I looked for it. This product is great for plus size people such as myself. Think of it as a 3 foot long washcloth. The Poof sponges that are popular for the shower do not dry easily and grow mildew. This is a great cleanser: it doesn't leave my skin irritated at all, and I feel that it cleanses really well. No greasy residue or drying has occurred. The cap doesn't screw off--it merely loosens and lets the cleanser out that way. My only complaint is that I would prefer a larger tube, so I don't need to buy as often.

Excellent product, helps fight off the redness in the face. I only wish it would last a little longer: it doesn't foam much, so it goes by very quickly.

I used this about a year ago to combat my lifelong battle (war, really,) with my face. Nothing I used ever calmed my sensitivity, and nothing ever got rid of the redness, red spots, irritation, or itchiness. I figured I would get a Clinique Redness Solutions cleanser (made sense to me) to help with the issues, and it didn't do the job for me. It was a pretty good face wash... that's it. It helped with my sensitivity a little bit I guess (hence the two star rating), and it did not get rid of the itchiness or the redness. When I used it, it felt like my skin wasn't getting clean. It was really thick, so you don't really need to use a lot of it, and when you put it on your face it sort-of melts so you feel like you need to use more, but you don't. I used my scrub brush along with it, and it just felt like it left this film of gunk on my face, it was probably the worst cleanser I have ever used. I went back to Sephora after a few weeks of ordering this on their website, and got a refund. I would not recommend this cleanser.

The sizes are quite small (as advertised). The body cream does not come out of the container. It is very thick (and probably quite moisturizing), but I cannot get it out of the jar. The balm is very messy, and the boob cream container does not hold enough for a single application. I have not tried the tummy oil or shower cream yet.

CAUDALIE Instant Foaming Cleanser

I came across this cleanser at Sephora a few years ago. It is simply the nicest cleansar I have ever used. I have sensitive skin and quite dry. I have had mild adverse reactions to many different products. This, on the other hand is wonderful. It feels smooth and emolient but washes off clean. I used to suffer through terrible dry itchy red patches in the winter and this cleanser has solved that problem. It lasts quite a while so the price is not an issue either. The only two things I would mention as a negative are I wish it was easier to find, the only place I can find it in a store is Sephora and because it is a natural product not loaded with preservatives, the smell and colour does change over time, but I tend to have a few bottles on the go at a time. One in the shower, one in the cabinet for night time, one for travel and one for the weekend cottage. If you just used the same bottle everywhere, this would be unlikely to happen. Seriously, I LOVE ths stuff and can't see me switching to something else.

My skin is sensitive and combination. And I'm 29. The most other products eather dry the dry parts of my face or do not clean the oily parts enough ( I have big pores too). I tried a lot of different cleansers and this one is my favorite. I've been using it for a year now and I'm still in love with it. And yes, there is no reaction of my sensitive skin for it at all. I wanted to like this foaming cleanser. It has a pleasant smell and foams up nicely. The later is not rich, but sort of thin, so it rinses clean.

THe downside: it did not take off all my makeup (I don't wear mascara just primer, foundation, blush and setting powder), the fragrance caused irritation and breakouts, and it left my face dry despite the lack of deep cleaning.

It might be a nice cleanser if you don't wear makeup and don't have any sensitivities to fragrance or natural preservatives. But for me, it just failed to do the job and left my face feeling raw and full of irritation and pimples. When I stopped using it, my face cleared up and my dry patches went away.

I believe it did the job well, but when I am through steaming my face I would expect somewhat of a larger difference in my skin for the steep price. I've suffered from acne since I was in high school. I wouldnt say it was bad, but I did get big pimples here and there and it would always leave a scar. I worked in the cosmetics department in Macys, with having to constantly wear makeup, it did help my skin. Although a nice non-sudsing cleanser, the pronounced orange sherbert fragrance if off-putting. I read reviews of citrus notes. Also, the concentration of glycolic acid is very low. For the price, using a cleanser with salicylic acid is more affordable.

Nuxe Reve de Miel Ultra Comfortable Face Cream Facial Treatment Products

It lasts just over 3 months if you use it everyday but not overly excessive since it's not inexpensive. The composition is medium thickness, slightly thicker than most face creams. It smells good, like honey. It's definitely for dry skin & low humidity places.

I have been purchasing Nuxe face crème for years as it is the only moisturizer that I have found that my face doesn't have a bad reaction to. I live in a dry climate and most crèmes or cleansers make my face feel like its on a Medieval torture rack...stretch and pain, including sores and redness, especially right under the eyes, high on the cheeks. I searched for years, and a fortune, trying to find a good moisturizer that I didn't have a bad reaction to and the Nuxe 24 hr crème was an answer to a prayer. Its like my skin sighed in relief every time I put it on. I don't know if it would work for everyone, but it works for me. I went back to my original seller to purchase my next six month supply and they told me they discontinued it. I was not happy. I immediately got online and saw that I could purchase from amazon and saw this face cream in addition to the 24 hr crème. I was intrigued by the reviews so I thought I would give it a try.

First off, it doesn't smell like honey. At all. It smells like roses. It is pleasant after you smell it and think about it, but at first it might not be for you....some people cannot stand the smell of roses when it is all they can smell, it is a very strong scent. This crème isn't over-powering in its scent but its there just enough that you notice it right away. As I previously mentioned, I did find it pleasant after I thought about it. As for how my skin feels, well this Nuxe product doesn't disappoint. My skin had the same reaction, a sigh of relief. I would recommend any of the Nuxe moisturizers to someone who has dry skin and who lives in a dry climate.

I started using Molton Brown products because they were provided in the BA lounge at London Heathrow. They used a variety of scents before I got to use this one and I fell in love. I also love the Warming Eucalyptus scent and from the day I smelled both, I have never looked back.

Definitely pricey but well worth it. These are now the only two bath wash items I have used for more than 5 years. I love how energized both scents make me feel and wake me up in the morning or evening or anytime. I love the Eucalyptus scent on dreary days especially since I suffer from allergies so the Eucalyptus helps me feel a little better.

Highly and absolutely recommend this to anyone. I do hope Molton Brown will consider lowering the prices a bit in order to get more volume but I'm a regular customer for the foreseeable future!

Smells great! One of the best smelling washes I've ever used! Gets you clean, but a little on the pricey side but it does last a long time as it is concentrated and you don't need to use that much.

I have been reading about MB products for a while and wanted to check what the big deal is about. Amazon price is about $8 more than the retail price. I bought this product from Saks 5th couple of blocks from work for $30.

La Roche-posay Toleriane Gentle Dermo-cleanser

As a former consumer of Pevonia and Kinerase products, I am now a big believer of La Roche-Posay products. My dermatologist suggested a few products to treat my rosacea and my sensitive skin. I use Toleriane Gentle Dermo Cleanser twice a day, the daily moisturizer with the 15 UV protection in the morning and the Rosaliac moisturizer at night. My skin is better than ever! The La-Roche Posay products are light on the skin yet they work their magic.

Let me preface this review by saying that I've tried all kinds of cleansers. I've used all natural ones (such as Alba), and fancy ones, (Yonka, as featured on Oprah), and ALL of them have caused rashes, redness, puffiness, and dryness. I have very sensitive skin. Blame my English ancestors!

In comes La Roche-Posay Toleriane! I found it online when I was doing a search for non-foaming cleansers. They aren't kidding when they say this stuff is gentle! I tried a bit on the back of my hand first (just to make sure), and my hand was not only fine, the skin felt softer. So, I tried it on my face. Amazing! It is gentle and moisturizing and leaves my skin glowing!!! I can use it everyday, and my skin just glows.

This is a gentle cleanser that I use once a day in combination with a prescription cleanser. I have sensitive skin, rosacea, and acne. I just started taking accutane and plan to use this cleanser as my sole face wash once my skin becomes too dry and fragile to use the prescription wash. This cleanser is wonderfully gentle and soothing for my sensitive, mildly-pink skin (rosacea), but it did absolutely nothing to remove facial makeup, even after three times trying. I'd consider using it just for mornings, but it's a bit too pricey for that, and I prefer to use as few products on my skin as possible.

That said, this cleanser did not irritate my skin or turn it red, so it is an excellent option for Rosies. I did not use the wipe-off option because wiping a cotton pad across my skin is irritating, but it rinsed relatively easily.

If you don't wear makeup and you have sensitive, dry skin, this would be a a very gentle cleanser, but I wear makeup, and the cleanser was too gentle to take off my face! I prefer Boscia MakeUp-BreakUp Cool Cleansing Oil, which cleanses (even eye makeup) and moisturizes in one step, even my oily T zone, with no need for toner afterward.

This is literally the only cleanser I can use. The dermatologist had me try all sorts of products in hopes that I wouldn't react to them, but to no avail. Olay Total Effects Body Wash, 15.2 Ounce (Pack of 2)

This stuff is expensive, compared to what I would normally use.

And let me admit, I'm not a girl so perhaps that is part of the problem.

It did effectively remove grime and dirt after working in the garden. Its ability to remove dirty motor oil is mediocre (which is normal for this kind of product).

It did leave my skin feeling very well moisturized, and I was more comfortable throughout the day because of this aspect. I don't even know what soap I used before this (I buy what is cheapest, which varies), but cheaper soap does not leave my skin feeling as nice and moisturized. The effect lasts well into the day.

The fragrance is weak, which is a good thing because I don't want to smell like a strawberry pie or chapstick all day long.

All in all, this is clearly a high quality product that does a great job as both a soap and a moisturizer. I miss it (ran out). You get what you pay for, and if you are willing to pay extra for a high quality body wash: this one is the one I would recommend to you.

It doesn't strike me as an exceptional value, but it's substantially better than normal body wash.

I'm a long time user of Olay's "Age Defying" body wash product, so I thought I'd give the "Total Effects" a try. Total Effects comes out of the container more like a cream than a lotion, it's quite a bit stiffer in consistency than their other products. The only ingredient differences that I can see from the label are mineral oil and jojoba oil, I assume the mineral oil (3rd ingredient on the list) contributes to the texture. After washing with the product my skin does feel soft and moisturized, but not noticeably more than it is with the product I had been using. Not enough more to justify the fact that you get eight more ounces of product for about a dollar less with the "Age Defying" compared to "Total Effects".

Also. If we are trying to make our skin look younger with this product, WHY would we want to it's fragrance smell like an old lady? Because that's how the fragrance comes across to me. Quite powdery, kind of camphorish, with a tiny hint of an amber note. It smells very "grandma's perfume" to me. I much prefer the scents they've used in the "Age Defying" and in the Olay "Quench" body wash (and oh how I wish they would bring back the fragrance of the "Scented to Calm" body wash!!!!). I'm the sort of person that won't use a product if I don't really like the fragrance, even if it was miraculous, so I'll be sticking with my old product, both for price and fragrance.

I have never used a body wash, but got this when I bought some other Oily products. I used it and it is wonderful, the smell is fab and may skin feels so great and smooth. Even though I moisturize right after my bath, this seems to have made my skin even nicer.Love it.

The three people who live in our one household all gave Olay Total Effects Body Wash a try so instead of just one person's opinion this review will have three.

Person #1 said he liked it very much. The aroma is not too powerful, even pleasant, and the thickness of it when it comes out of the bottle is good. He especially liked the way his skin felt after using it the first time and said that it felt even better after more uses.

Person #2 said he too liked the way it smelled but said he didn't really notice any difference in how his skin felt afterwards. It's possible that his skin wasn't dry and therefore there was less moisturizing benefit. But he didn't have any complaints--just didn't think he'd go out of his way to buy it for himself.

Person #3 only got to use it two times because #1 has absconded with it. She likes everything everyone else said they liked. The aroma is lightly fruity and she definitely felt a difference in how her skin felt afterwards. However, she found the jar a little difficult to open when her hands were already wet so she had to open the container before her hands got wet. Not a big deal, obviously.

Over all opinion is positive, especially for those who have problems with dry winter skin. Since both men and woman liked the way it smells, I think it's safe to say that the product will appeal to almost anyone, even those who are sensitive to highly perfumed products.

Edit: I apologize for having to change my review. Person #1 has had an allergic reaction to something in this product and had to discontinue use immediately. We do not know if it is something in the perfume or moisturizer or perhaps both. This product is probably not a good one for those with sensitive skin.

I tried a few Olay products in the past, but my skin didn't react too well to them. Therefore, I was a bit hesitant to try another of their products.

My skin is aging well and for some time I was able to just get away with washing and moisturizing with cocoa butter. However, I started to notice little blotches and a lack of luster to my skin tone.

I remembered reading an article about an actress who said that one of her few splurges are trips to the spa for body treatments. It reminded me that while I could use a good spa treatment, why not exfoliate with a cleanser at home? I used to use an exfoliating cleanser all the time, but I switched to Ivory bath soap because of its purity.

Well after trying the Olay Total Effects, I was overly impressed. Normally when you use a shower wash, your skin feels great until you dry off and there's no long that dewey, supple feel. However, this product kept my skin so soft and supple long after I had showered and dried off, that I was left stunned. My skin is so soft that I can't stop touching it. My boyfriend tries to get in on the action, but I tell him to leave me alone (LOL). Kidding. But this product truly works and, OH, it smells AMAZING.

As for the exfoliating, I will have to wait and see if my skin tone improves, but I have a feeling that I won't be disappointed :).
