For over a year, I have been buying this product every 1 1/2 months. While I still get acne breakouts even with the product, I get maybe 1-3 new breakouts a day on average vs several or over a dozen new breakouts per day when I used other products. I was on dermatologist prescribed kits that cost a fortune and tried a few different antibiotics, and it did not seem to work. I love this product.

Approached by the Cor Silver Soap company purporting to use actual silver particles in their facial soap I could not help but be intrigued. Silver, the precious metal, as a facial cleanser? Would one be able to SEE the silver in the soap? Would silver be a good additive, or just an excuse to charge untoward amounts of cash for such a novel product?

As in all reviews I do, the proof lies in the testing. Cor helpfully sent me two small round slices of Cor Silver Soap to test. The small samples are considered a week or month's worth (depending on how thickly one lathers their face) of cleansing. I gave one to my mother to get a larger test sample than just myself.

The Cor Testers:

At 41, my skin is olive-toned, prone to getting dark freckles and evidence of hyperpigmented sun damage, but few wrinkles. I have normal skin with a tendency to get spot breakouts when I use products containing irritants on my face.

My mother is 62, has light crows feet, slight nose to mouth lines, and very few wrinkles overall. She has lighter colored skin with blue-pink undertones, and also gets dark freckles in the sun. Her skin type is normal to dry.

We each used the soap twice daily for a week.

The Cor Test:

We both found the Cor Silver Soap very pleasant to use. It has a light, barely there clean scent, goes on silky and washes off cleanly. This is a low-lather product, which I prefer in a face cleanser.

Cor Silver soap removes the dirt from the day and most of the makeup, and doesn't leave us with that dry, tight skin feeling which we've come to realize means the skin is stripped. In other words, we felt comfortable, soft and clean. We both followed up use with our normal moisturizers. We did not experience irritation or breakouts. Wrinkles, though sadly remained right were we'd left them.

Negatives for this product center mainly squarely on price point. As one would expect. A full bar of Cor Silver Soap at 125 grams will set you back $125. Our tiny "cucumber slice" samples cost $14 each in retail. At either size, we consider that pretty darned expensive for, what is, in essence, a pH balanced soap for sensitive skin. Many lovely drugstore facial cleansers for perform the same task at a fraction of the price.

The Reality for Cor Silver Soap:

This is clearly an elegant formulation, presumably due to the silica, collagen and silk protein ingredients. The pomegranate extracts and avocado oil are also helpful ingredients with antioxidant and soothing benefits respectively.

Silver, the most salubrious ingredient on the menu, is an unusual choice for face cleanser on several levels ~

Silver has been studied and proven as an antibacterial agent, as with most metals. But is there enough silver in the solution to approach antimicrobial levels? I can see right through the soap sliver and while it does have a mild metallic sheen, I cannot say just how much silver is needed to fight bacteria in a product applied to surface skin.

In another vein, a cleanser is made to wash on and wash off. This isn't a moisturizer or serum whereby strong active ingredients are applied facially and left to soak in. Thus, having silver and collagen in a largely glycerin soap product seems a bit precious: how will something you wash right away (or even away after a few spare minutes, as they suggest for deep cleansing) encourage healing and cell growth?

Cor's touted answer is that the active ingredients penetrate deeply into the dermis layer of skin. I would like to see studies proving that from my research we aren't there just yet, and don't know exactly what the effects of such nano-technology are for the body in the long term.

The ingredient Chitosen I have no issue with, as that helps provide a fibrous mechanical type of mild exfoliation, leaving skin smoother overall. Mixed with the silica and silk proteins, Cor really does offer a lovely formulation to cleanse, exfoliate and add moisture-binding ingredients in one pleasant step.

The Recommendation for Cor Silver Soap:

This a nice product for facial cleansing: with mild exoliation in a a non-drying forumla. It is easily rinsed, and matched with a very slight scent of lemon verbena and fresh melon.

If this is what you seek in a cleanser, I'd suggest purchasing the sample size at $14 and seeing if you can't live without it. An expensive price tag doesn't always translate to a miracle product, so I'd take the claims of reviving, plumping, luminizing, brightening, toning, balancing and healing with a grain of salt. Or in this case, with a grain of soap!

Validity of claims aside, the cleanser IS simply lovely to use and left both mine and my mother's faces fresh, clean, soft and fully prepped for moisturizer. If you don't mind the price tag, this may be the right facial cleanser for you, and you will certainly feel luxurious indulging in it.

I bought a couple of the small sizes before taking the hit to the wallet and getting this bigger bar. What did it for me was that after a week of not using the first "travel size" soap, I noticed a significant difference of my skin's elasticity and evenness of tone, in a downward direction. I got myself another small bar and within a few days of regular use (2/day) noticed those qualities improving. I'm a sucker for immediate gratification, so all the other products that need a month or more to show results just don't make as much of an impression on me since the process is so "gradual" and I don't really notice any difference. Also I think the eventual difference other products make aren't as significant as this bar of soap can deliver. It works faster and better, plus you already wash your face daily, so it's not another step you have to introduce into your routine. It's the simplest, most effective solution I've ever used, and I'm a serial product buyer of the cheap and expensive.

I'm almost 30 and had deep acne through adolescence that I cleared up in college with Acutane, but still have some leftover mild discolorations and pitting along with the first signs of aging. Using this in conjunction with a mild nightly skin lightener has given me the face of my 12 year old self (if I hadn't had acne at the time). I've had my big bar for three months and have barely gotten through what I think is 1/4 of the bar. To use, I dampen my face, dry off any drips and roll the bar in my hand just a few times. I rub this into my face and neck to create the lather instead of waiting for the bar to lather in my hand. I think this is the trick to getting this bar to last its 6-9 months.

I have moderate acne, enough to bother me on a daily basis and require make-up. After one week of using this soap, my skin looked fabulously clear. It's all-natural and its close-to-neutral pH is great for my super-sensitive skin and it's not drying like typical acne products (I've used ProActiv--this is so many times better). Cor soap is made by Plank Designs, a great eco-conscious company focused on sustainability and natural products. I first tried this soap in a small travel sample. While it may seem outrageous to spend this much on what appears to be a glycerin bar, I find it cleans my skin without leaving it dry, keeps my skin clear and oil free but doesn't irritate, and lasts forever! I have curly frizzy hair and I have tried many,many, many shampoos that say they will eliminate the frizz but they did not work on my hair, but Bouncy Cleanse really works. My hair is not frizzy and it is soft and manageable. I love this shampoo!

I purchased the ISO Bouncy Cleanse and the ISO Bouncy Conditioner on Amazon.com on one of my "hunts for the perfect shampoo" for my thick, shoulder length, curly-wavy hair. As most curly heads know, it's hard to find a good shampoo and that's been my problem, finding a shampoo and conditioner that will cleanse my hair and give it the bounce and shine I like.

The Iso Bouncy Cleanse shampoo and conditioner is AMAZING for curly hair, at least for my hair type. For further details of the results of these products, I actually have pretty thin hair but LOTS and LOTS of it. My curl type is an S-curl but if I want to get more ringlets I use this shampoo and conditioner and it really makes my hair spring up! It's beautiful! To complete my look though I use Samy mouse and curl creme, which suprisingly because I don't really like their shampoo and conditioner for curly hair but the mouse and creme work wonders for my hair, to give it a little more curl too. Love this shampoo and conditioner. Everytime I get it I use it sparingly and only on special occasions lol.

This shampoo smells divine and seems gentle enough to use frequently. It's a very good deal price wise, too. I have thick wavy/ curly hair, and have been receiving a lot of complements since I started using the shampoo and conditioner and allowing my hair to air dry and just do its thing.

This product is great for my sensitive skin! Many products, including cleansers, cause a stinging/burning sensation when applied to my face. The cream cleanser is gentle enough for me to use regularly and is great for removing makeup residue (I don't wear much. This soap was originally recommended to me by my dermatologist almost 30 years ago, due to my extremely oily skin and facial acne problem. However, my gynecologist also recommended it for overall body washing. I have used nothing else ever since. It is by far the best "soap" on the market. It leaves no residue, and is extremely gentle on sensitive skin, and sensitive areas of the body. Because there is not soap build up, it makes your skin feel clean and soft after showering, even in very hard water. The bars last as long as other soaps. There is a larger "shower size" bar available, but I prefer this 3.6 oz. size. For those out there that suffer from hypersensitive, acne prone, easily irritated skin that is also prone to severe drying and eczema...this product may be worth a try.

I am one of those unfortunate people that has the kind of skin I just described, and this is the first and only cleansing bar that I've been able to use on a daily basis. I've tried so many products over the years, and this is the only one that DOESN'T aggravate my acne.

I can attest to you that this product won't clog your pores, and it rinses completely clear with no residue whatsoever. In fact, the slightly drying nature of this cleansing bar is beneficial to those suffering from acne. I've been using it for the last three years. Best face wash I know. Tried many. Does it job perfectly. Face looks fresh and energized. No side effects. If skin gets dry put some balm that's the only issue I have sometimes when I use it too much.

RoC Multi-Correxion Night Treatment, 1 Ounce

This is my favorite RoC product and my very favorite night cream. Nothing else is in the running and I think I may have tried most of them. LOL. If you are considering all of the RoC products and getting confused about which one to try first, I would recommend this Night Treatment. The others are good too, but this is my all-time favorite. It feels good, has the ingredients I was looking for to work under the surface over time, and costs much less than department-store skin treatments.

I bought this product originally after I did an extensive search for products with specific ingredients. I had searched some PubMed sites and knew that it was important for me to find a product with retinoids, hydraluroic acid, peptides, and vitamin C. RoC came closer than everyone else, so I tried it. I wasn't disappointed. The results have been as advertised in my case.

If I go into a department store, I'll come out with more than $200 worth of skin products, many of them turning out to be pretty much useless even though they are top brands. I know that because they are still in my cosmetic drawer(s). RoC products cost less and give me the results I am looking for. The ingredients are effective. I recommend this product.

I LOVE this product! It really takes the years off! I am 46 and, I have people tell me that I look like I am 30. I have been using it for about a year and, love the results. It really does get rid of the wrinkles and, makes your skin luminous. It even seems to help ease breakouts. You may notice a slight tingling when you first start using it, make sure you use sunscreen with this product. I have used far more expensive products and, found this to work better for far less money. I would highly recommend this product as well as any other of the ROC products.

It's hard to decide what to buy when it comes to "miracle creams". I read a review about RoC Multi-Correxion Night Treatment on the internet. It was advertised for those who are 40 and over. I bought this product specifically to diminish age spots. I have been using it now for about 3 weeks and have noticed that my pores are smaller and there has been some minimal fading of age spots. I am supposed to use the product for 8 weeks to c the real difference there. My skin feels soft and looks great especially in the morning. Boscia Luminizing Black Mask 2.8 oz

I spoke with a Boscia specialist at Sephora before I purchased this mask. I had read great things about the product, but the one negative thing I kept reading was that it is a huge pain to get off and that you need to apply a thick layer. The Boscia man told me that this isn't true, and he demonstrated it in the store on my hand. You can apply a super thin layer; it just needs to be distributed evenly, and it comes off without a problem. Well, it worked on my hand, but the problem I faced when I got home was that I put a dollop of the product in my hand (this stuff looks and feels like tar; do not be alarmed) and then spread it evenly on my face. Unfortunately, I didn't have enough, and in the few seconds it took me to squeeze out more product, the mask on my face had already started to harden, and it was impossible to keep blending at that point. The result was that although the mask left my skin soft and gorgeous, it took FOREVER for me to peel the mask off. I think I just need to practice and it will be just fine, but it seriously took me like 20 minutes to get this stuff off my face, and I had to wash some of it off at the end. Still, the mask works splendidly, so I do recommend it.

OH My Gosh! This is like ripping duck tape off your face. I get all teary eyed just thinking about it. With that being said this is the ultimate pore cleanser. Skip the pore strips, use this instead! Here's my regimen

1. Wash and gently exfoliate

2. Put a medium layer on, face must be completely covered, no skin poking out here and there. Make sure it's thick enough to cover all skin but, not too thick as it won't dry properly

3. Make sure to avoid hairline, lips, anywhere near your eyebrows, lids or the sensitive area under your eyes or you will rip out your hair.

4. This has to dry completely, it will form a rubber like mask and you'll look scary

5. Jump out of a closet and scare the crap out of your roommate

6. Take several shots of whiskey

7. RIP IT OFF! It's easy to slowly peel a corner on your forehead and try to get it all in one or two shots.

It hurts like the dickens but, very satisfying after you see all the gross stuff you pulled out of your pores

The results are amazing. Pulls everything right out of your pores. You will be quite red for a little while so make sure to not do this right before a hot date. You will have little black bits left over and they will need to be scrubbed off.

8. Rinse and moisturize.

I recommend doing this once every other week or so. This is incredibly irritating to your skin and may even make you break out the first time. This is great to integrate into your skin care regimen.

I don't usually write reviews, but I love this product. I bought this today from Sephora. I needed something that would get the dirt out of my pores, make my pores smaller, and generally help with overall appearance. I'm getting older and it's time to start using this type of product to help out, ya know what I mean? :)

So I just tried this. I did read reviews about putting a thick layer on. I actually applied one thin layer and then went back and applied a second layer. Avoiding the hairline, eyes and lips. I really just put enough on to where I could not see my skin underneath the mask. So it's not like it was running down my face or anything. It took less than 30 minutes to dry, but I left it on for 45 minutes.

I was watching TV with my daughter when I started peeling it off from the chin area. No problems at all. After about 4 minutes I went upstairs to finish pulling it off. I had already gotten the chin area and left cheek area completely peeled. Upstairs I finished peeling it all off. I have a complete mask sitting on my sink surface. It all came off in one piece!! It was a bit painful around the eyebrow and hairline, but I found that if I pulled my skin tight it didn't hurt as much. After the mask was off I could see all of the little hairs that were pulled off. Ow.

After taking the mask off I applied my Aveeno moisturizer. THAT burned just a little bit, but it may have actually been MY lotion. Might try the Boscia lotions next time. All in all, I love it! My face is so soft. I could see all of the stuff that the mask pulled out of my pores. EW. I do have acne prone skin so I am waiting to see if it causes any breakouts in the next few days before using again though.

I would definitely recommend this to friends and family.

I tried it for the first time yesterday but the major part of the experience was taking it off. So after 15 mins of peeling off small pieces of mask, I decided to give it another try, except this time I applied it only on the T-zone. Low and behold, even after only 4 hours of sleep, my skin actually looked fresh and surprisingly brighter. Pores became smaller and my skin tone appeared more even. It actually works! finding an effective mask for my dark skin is near impossible. when i started using this mask i had a massive black mark in the middle of my forehead. after about a month of use the mark is almost completely gone, my skin is brighter and smoother. my only issue is that i go to school outside of the country and it is hard to find if you're not near a sephora. still, i recommend it to anyone.
