I was first introduced to Sothys by my esthetician in Taiwan who gives me the most amazing facials. She recommended me this cleanser because it has natural exfoliants and does not strip the skin of oils. I have very dry skin. I feel like this cleanser doesn't foam up as easily as my other cleansers which kind of bothers me. The texture feels a bit chunky...I don't know how to explain it. It haven't really seen a big difference in terms of exfoliation when I use this product. I think I will stick to the original Aesop cleanser I was using before.

Sephora Brand Daily Brush Cleaner

I purchsed this product to use in conjunction with the Sephora Brand Brush Shampoo. In order to extend the life of my brushes, I did not want to do a deep cleaning too often, so I thought this would be perfect for in between. Since using both, I have been pleased to note that my makeup applies easier like it did when my brushes were new and my skin has cleared up some. I assume the clearing up of little blemishes is down to cleaning the dirt and bacteria out of my brushes.

I got both the 2oz. (travel size spray) and the full sized 6.75 oz bottles. I love using it for on the go brush cleaning (when I working on my AVON clients,) and I use it for my own personal MU brushes every day. I use it for cleaning brand-new brushes too (the spray is anti-bacterial and it dries fast!)

It doesn't clean the brush with just 3 4 sprays as it says on the bottle especially if you use dark MU like I do. Oftentimes I'd have to spray it couple more times than stated and let it sit on the brush for a minute or two before wiping the brush off. The scent is nice and not overpowering.

Cetaphil Cetaphil Gentle Skin Cleanser For All Skin Types

I've seen 2 different dermatologists, and they BOTH said to use Cetaphil. Every other person I know who has had to visit a dermatologist says their doctor also recommended Cetaphil. I have a rare (and extremely severe)form of Rosacea and have tried TONS of cleansers and I have to say that this cleanser is the BEST!!! Between my medication-induced dry skin and the sub-zero Chicago winter weather, my skin takes a beating. Normally I rinse the cleanser off, but on the worst days, I wipe it off with a soft cloth. My skin is soft and supple now, whereas before, it would flake like crazy. It looked like I had severe dandruff, until you realized all the flakes on my shirt were from my face! Just stay away from the bar cleansers. They are not so good. If you have oily skin, use the liquid cleanser for normal to oily skin.

This is my first line of defense when it comes to skin care.

I have used this twice a day, morning and night, for a good three years and it has dramatically improved my complexion. I believe this product to be a major factor in the number of compliments I've had on the quality of my skin.

As for acne, I would likely still be a rather severe sufferer had I not been introduced to this product. That this cleanser has been able to [very nearly] banish my acne without any harsh chemicals or acids is worth the price of the seemingly expensive investment. It is worth every penny.

Contrary to an earlier review, I find that it works very well (and gently) for removing eye makeup because of the sensitive nature of the skin surrounding the eyes. Carefully apply a fairly generous amount of the product and use a q-tip with a twisting motion to lift it away.

I cannot say how well this works with foundations or concealers as, because of this product, I have no need for them.

I simply cannot recommend this highly enough.

I have a really nasty case with seborrheic dermatitis that has plagued me since I was in high school. Cetaphil is the ONLY thing that I can use on my face that doesn't cause intense flaking and acne breakouts (yes, I am lucky enough to get them BOTH!) I have used this before on my arms and legs, and it didn't make a difference for my KP, but it also didn't make it worse. I decided to try it on my face (I don't have kp on my face, and I don't have acne either) as a nice change because my forehead had been getting oily lately. After several uses, I started noticing tiny little bumps popping up alllll over my face. My face seriously looked like I had goose bumps all the time. I immediately stopped using it, and it took over a week for my skin to completely clear up! After I stopped using the cetaphil, I went back to my regular cleanser and moisturizer and those stung my face (and they are VERY gentle). I will never use this again!

For decades I used a plant-based cleanser only. When I tried products that cost money with AHAs and PHA, all they did was make my skin red.

I've been to three dermatologists and all 3 recommended Cetaphil. I buy it at our local drugstore. I buy one for sensitive skin.It even removes your makeup if you put some on a dry cotton makeup remover pad, then pat your eye. Repeat. Takes the make up off. (I have not tried this yet with mascara, but it works for eyeshadow, eyebrows)

I am glad this product already got two good reviews, because that will balance out what I am going to say. "WHERE'S THE BEEF?" (Does anyone remember that burger commercial.....maybe I am getting old.) Maybe I need to say, for this product, "where's the BEADS?" Sorry, but 5 or 6 little beads per face-wash is not my idea of an exfoliant, so I feel deceived that this was specifically labeled and promoted as an exfolient. The cream is a bit thick and hard to wash off. Otherwise, it is a fine face-wash and I will be using it for good long time since my mother sent me 2 big tubes of it, not knowing that I had already bought one, so now I have 3. I can't say enough how every Wen cleansing conditioner I've used made my hair made it soft, shiny, and full of body. However, most of the products caused my scalp to peel. Enter Wen Kids. It works as well as the other cleansing conditioners but doesn't contain anything that hurts my skin. I love it!!!

First let me say that I have this in both Apple and Strawberry banana, The strawberry banana smells so gross to me but I refuse to return a good product so I will use it up, It dosent stay so strong smelling in the hair after shower! This cleanser is great for oily skin. I have combo. skin and it doesn't dry it out like some cleansers do. After using it my face feels really clean and the scent is pleasant. Just be sure to not have your face dripping wet otherwise the product tends to slide off and you'd need to use more. Also, careful around the eyesit stings! I guess you could use eye makeup remover but I like to take a minimalist approach to my skincare regimen.

My dermatologist recommended this product. I have had trouble for years with dry/oily facial skin no matter where in the country or world I have lived (so it wasn't the local water). I have terrible skin eczema AND acne. This is really the best and only cleanser I can use. It is great for both face and body my skin is extremely oily on the face and extremely dry everywhere else. This cleanses really well, getting all the excess oil off my face, yet never dries too much. If I use anything else, even for a day, I find that my acne flares up. My skin in dry areas becomes tight and scaly with other cleansers.

I'm not really a fan of Triclosan, either, but I've been using this for years with no apparent adverse effects. According to MD Consult, Triclosan is effective against a variety of bacteria, is popular in healthcare settings, and the only adverse effect listed is possible irritation in some people. It appears that concerns about microbial resistance were possible in theory, but research has shown it is not significant for Triclosan.

A doctor recommended Cetaphil because of a condition with my oil glands that caused my skin to break out. I found that the Antibacterial Cetaphil works better then the regular Cetaphil for clearing out my skin infections. Resent research shows you have to scrup for at least 10 seconds to clean the bacteria out of the skin. This is also good because it does not dry out your skin like regular antibacterial soaps. It does dry out my feet and I do need to put extra oil on them. It is nice at my age (58) to use a gentle soap that will not damage the skin. I like the way I can rinse until my skin is just where I want it, not to much oil and not to dry. This product is well worth the price and seems to last longer then the cheaper bars of soap.

I cannot express my gratitude for this soap. I've lived with eczema and psoriasis for the last 10 years. After trying Dial Gold antibacterial soap, I avoided antibacterial soaps altogether because I didn't like the way it dried out my skin. This product completely removes every single drop of makeup on my face. I only use it when I have a full face (foundation/powder/blush/eyes). Its still a bit of a hassle to remove waterproof mascara but it does a better job than any eye makeup removed I've used.
