I heard about the Wave through word of mouth. From a friend of a friend. Everyone said it was really good and worked well. I bought it and tried it the day it came in the mail. I was amazed in the difference of my skin after only 1 use. I thought that my skin was getting clean by using facial cleanser every day. I was wrong. Even after I washed my face with cleanser then used the Wave, I could see what my regular cleanser was missing. I would absolutely recommend the Wave. It's wonderful!

This thing, along with the original Wave, are poorly built pieces of ****. When I first started using the Wave Duo, I loved it; it made my face super smooth, soft, and healthy-looking. I also liked and utilized the 2 speeds (the lower for every day cleaning and the higher for rigorous exfoliating). Overall it seemed to clean my face better than conventional cleaning with a cleanser.

However, after about 3 weeks of use, my unit broke because the power button would no longer stay "clicked" on. The buttons that control the power and speed are push on, push off, "click" buttons. They are cheap little plastic buttons with springs under them and tiny metal latches that latch into grooves on the plastic molding of the buttons. When they are not latched, the springs pop the buttons back out. When these buttons are working, they make a "click" sound when pressed. I opened the unit up in attempt to see why my power button no longer worked. I found that dirty water had seeped in and mildew caked up under the buttons. I cleaned out the mildew with q-tips and rubbing alcohol and that seemed to fix the power button but it broke again within a week. My battery also started to drain very quickly and the motor that vibrated the device would not spin anymore.

Even though the manufacturer says you can use this thing in the shower, you can't. Dirty water will get in and short or jam up your device. You can't even get this thing wet which totally defeats the purpose of using it to wash your face. I plan to buy a Clean and Clear Blackhead eraser to replace this since the cleansing pads are interchangeable. The Blackhead eraser might not necessarily be more well built and it does not have 2 speeds but at least they don't have cheap little click buttons that could get jammed. Instead, the blackhead eraser has a twist on, twist off power switch.

This is a good little face machine for the shower. It does make you face feel smoother the first time you use it. The pads don't really foam up alot, which is good, and they leave a minty, coolness on your skin. I highly recommend it.

So I bought this the 2nd month it came out. I was really excited because people online would talk about how its doing wonders to their skin. And the 2 vibrations really penetrate to get the dirt. Also I was very excited because it was waterproof although it needs batteries!!

So for few days, i took it in the shower with me.. But because i was scared that it really wasn't waterproof, I opened the battery sealer to see if any water went in.. Thankfully, none did. So next few days, i took it in the shower. Also when I woke up, the vibration just woke me up too. But the 2nd week i bought it, it stopped working!!!! I looked in the battery sealer and there was rust!! OMG..

Also 2 vibration by butt.. Its like a high pitch vib and a low pitch vib if thats even considered 2.. They are basically the same. And its not even the machine that was doing the cleaning, it was the pads.

I would have given this 5 stars because I like the product, but the new packaging is HORRIBLE. It is impossible to close the tube without getting the cleanser all over the tube and it wastes a lot. Facial brush a little small, diameter about the size of a quarter. Was hoping it was bigger.

When i ordered this i did read all the other reviews and thought to get it anyways. I just recieved the brush yesterday in the mail and used it to wash my face last night and this morning. It is a little on the small size but it feels comfortable in my hand when i use it. It is not too small where i feel like i wasted my money.

I am glad i went ahead and bought this. It turns whatever face wash you have into a scrub. I was getting tired of having a face scrub and a normal face wash. I use The Body Shop Tea Tree face wash. So far i am not disappointed. I can not say how long this brush will last but i will give an update when i feel it has lost it's effectiveness. It also came with a protective case to cover the brush while not in use which i thought was a plus. I have a feeling i will keep this as a part of my personal hygiene routine.

NARS Makeup Cleansing Oil

I have been using cleansing oil by Shu Uemura and have been thoroughly happy. This is the holy grail of cleansing oils,

But when I got two deluxe sized samples of Nars Cleansing Oil -enough for a few days of washing, I was ready to put it to the test.

I wear very waterproof mascara and a full face of makeup: foundation, blush and eyeshadow. All are premium products, so they require a real good cleaner for removal. The Nars did not fare well at removing the waterproof eye makeup. And I had to use so much of it -much more than what need with the Shu.

It did not emulsify well at all. Dd not build up a nice lather like the Shu.

My skin did feel cleansed after I used it, and it did have a clean glow, The fragrance was also very light and pleasant (Origins Cleansing Oil has a strong, medicinal-floral fragrance that lingers)

Overall, I'd say that the Nars Cleansing Oil is average. Factor in the price, and it goes a notch down Shu Uemura is actually more expensive, but it is so much more effective. Especially if you wear waterproof cosmetics.

Good product and for an amazing price. Definitely up there with Mac and other name brand cleansing oils.

This is a highly effective product. I have oily sensitive skin, so I use a few drops of this before washing. It has dissolved every trace of makeup on my face every time. I had a domino mask of black eyeshadow and glitter, and this wiped it right off. It has also never made my normally sensitive eyes sting. You only need a pump or two, so a 6.7 oz bottle will last you months. The price is well worth it, and this product has earned a spot on my sink.

My hair has a tendency to have oily roots and damaged, dry ends. No drugstore brands ever really helped me, and I never gave Aussie much of a chance because I didn't like the smell. However, when I finally did, I was amazed. This shampoo/conditioner leaves my hair soft, light, and very smooth, and even if I stop using it for a little while, it'll keep its healthy sheen and moisture for about four days afterward, even while using other, more damaging shampoos. My hair also doesn't seem to get nearly as oily as it did before.

There are two versions of Aussie Cleanse and Mend Conditioner. One of them with white cap (this one), which smells like (some sort of) apple, and another version with purple cap (like the bottle) and smells like artificial grape. Be aware of that. Personally I could not stand the artificial grape smell, so I was really happy they returned to the original formula and sell the apple fragrance version side by side.

Either way, you get the same softness on your hair after you used this conditioner. I have yet come across a conditioner that could make my hair this soft. If you have thinner hair, I wouldn't recommend it because softer hair will give an appearance of less volume. It slightly weighs down your hair too because of the moisture retained in your hair after you used it. Nothing like Dove though..., which moisturizes so much, even a heavy duty hair gel won't make your hair stand tall again....

Probably the best bargain conditioner I've used. If you don't want to use shampoo on your hair everyday, you could use this one on the off day, and still have a refreshing feel.

Phytomer is my new favorite product line for facial care. The gentle cleansing milk works well and doesn't dry out my skin. Living in the desert requires constant attention to the moisture content for the largest organ of our bodies...the skin.

These are great products. They actually work! I started with the Obagi line and was purchasing it from a local spa. I price almost made me stop using it. I came across it on Amazon and couldn't believe it! Its half the cost and I get the same Obagi quality. The cleaner is so easy to use (I keep it in the shower) and I also have a bottle in my gym bag. It cleans but doesn't over-dry my skin. The toner is just as easy and it great for cleaning my facing between showering.

I am using OBAGI'S for five years and recently ,I bought clenziderm "foaming cleanser and pore therapy , the outside packaging of this products seems different from the list of CLENZIDERMS from obagi, the numbers which was shown in my previous orders were not there, like foaming cleanser was numbered as # 1 and pore therapy was #2 for treatment. I was paranoid with the authenticity of my orders?? Couldn't ask for anything better! I have had problems with breakouts and blackheads since my teen years. I'm 26 now. In six months I've spent $1200 going to the spa and having facials, extractions, chemical peels, laser treatments, microdermabrasion and the combination of all of those don't compare to the combination of 1. Daily Care Foaming Cleanser Salicylic Acid 2. Pore Therapy 3. Therapeutic Lotion by Obagi CLENZiderm M.D. I've also tried ProActive but it irritated my skin and it seemed as if it stopped working after a while. Also, the 3rd step of Obagi contains 5% benzoyl peroxide (BPO) vs ProActive 3rd step 2.5%. – I'll let you be the judge. -

My husband can't stop giving me compliments on how much better my overall skin is. I've been also getting compliments from my close friends and they've asked me what is it that I'm using b/c my face is so clear! I do use all three steps at night. Morning I use 1&2 plus Obagi AM 50SPF moisturizer.

Give it a try and stick with it for at least 1 month of daily use before your skin can get used to it. You might experience some burning feeling but it will go away and after continual use.

This is a great cleanser. First off, it foams but is free of sulfates. I have suffered from a sulfate foaming cleanser years ago by Clean & Clear. I decided to give this one a try. It cleans well, my pores have minimized some. It also gives my face a nice radiance. The smell is not for everyone, only if you perfer a herb, earth smell. However, it doesn't smell chemical laden like less natural cleansers.

My skin is oily, but this keeps it managed. Overall, this lovely lavender cleanser agrees with my skin and I like using it.

I've been using this for a couple of months now and it cleanses better than neutrogena or dr. hauscka for a better price. I is gentle on my skin and smells great (if you like lavender).

Word of caution when using this product.Recently, I purchased this facial wash and on the label it said for sensitive skin. I don't have sensitive skin, but thought this would be a mild product.The first night I used it, I felt a mild tingling and stinging sensation, but I thought it was the cleansing agent working. My face felt a bit dry and tight the next day. Day 2 night I used it and stronger burning and pain developed.I Immediately tried to wash my face but the stinging continued.The next morning I awoke to find my eyes swollen shut and my lips swollen.

I am not a sensitive or allergic type person.. I don't have any allergies or skin problems. Be careful if you are going to use this stuff. I would not recommend it to ANYONE!I am on day two of swollen eyes and my skins feels like it is on fire with a bad sunburn. Eyes are watering and painful.

THIS stuff is great. It smells amazing, REAL lavender, probably my first time smelling the real thing and not the fake thing. It scrubs away at acne to expose it so that the disgusting stuff can ooze out, and it makes complexion much better. It keeps the oily areas clean and dry, and moisturizes the dry areas. I don't know how it does that. WOW this stuff is great. And it smells so good sometimes I squirt a little out of the bottle just so the bathroom will smell like this stuff. I found this stuff by chance in a Ross store and gave it a try. It's amazing! I decided to see if it was online, and I was thrilled to find it here. I have very dry hair, and I've always had so many problems. If I shampoo every day or every other day, it gets very brittle, frizzy, straw-like and breaks easily. If I shampoo every 3 days, it gets greasy at the roots in between washings. And, I usually had to use tons of leave-in treatments (conditioners, silk, etc). I always had to comb and put leave in stuff in IMMEDIATELY after the shower, or it would get dry and stiff. This stuff is great. I no longer shampoo at all. I use this stuff as directed about 3x per week. My hair is neither dry nor oily. It's manageable, the curls are bouncy, and I just got a compliment on my hair yesterday after I'd been camping in the mountains 2 days w/out doing anything to it! I use a little bit of leave-in treatment after my shower, but that is to tame my curls. I now use the leave-in treatment in place of any type of styling product, not because I can't get a comb thru it otherwise. And, I don't have to comb immediately after a shower because my hair retains some natural moisture. After YEARS of attempting to moisturize and condition my way out of dry dry dry hair, this stuff is such a blessing! I love it! I can even have highlights in my hair without it turning brittle now. I plan to use nothing else but this in the future, and to buy my kids the types they need for their hair.

Review for Lisa Rachel Sulfate Free Conditioner & Cleanser with Tea Tree Oil & Avocado for Damaged Hair

I liked this product at first but just changed my rating and am editing my review. It leaves my hair feeling clean and soft but my hair is dull and doesn't hold a curl long. Also, I am not sure it's worth the extra cost.

I am African American and have dry hair with super tight curls. Normally, I use Garnier's Fructis shampoo and conditioner for dry hair or Chi's Intense shampoo and conditioner, put AG's Set It Straight lotion on my hair and blow dry then flat iron it. I've been happy with that regimen but wanted to try products that were more "natural" and didn't strip my hair of oil. My mother raves about Wen products but I didn't want to spend $30 a bottle for it so I searched around, read the reviews, and settled on Lisa Rachel's formula for damaged hair.

I followed the instructions to the letter and found that it worked well for cleaning. I could feel a nice cooling sensation on my scalp when I let it sit for about 5 minutes and found that the product smelled a bit like menthol or something similar. Fortunately the smell, which was light, completely went away when I rinsed my hair. I didn't mind that this product did not lather because I knew from the description and reviews that it would not. Also, my hair felt surprisingly clean when I was done.

The problem is with the conditioning aspect of the Lisa Rachel product. I did not add any of my normal conditioner so I could see how it worked. Other than that, I did follow my normal routine and my hair turned out to be very soft and held its shape once flat-ironed and styled. But it only held its shape for about two hours. After that, it became "poofy" and did not at all look like I had spent tons of time doing it.

I gave this product only 3 stars for a few reasons: 1) Though my hair was soft, it wasn't as shiny as I had hoped. When I use the Garnier or Chi shampoo and conditioner (that I get at about half the price at TJ Maxx), my hair is super shiny without my having to add a bunch of extra stuff. This time, my hair was dull. 2) The directions on the bottle say that the more you use the better the product works. Hmm just seems like a way to get you to use up the bottle faster so you can buy more. 3) Even with this product being a shampoo and conditioner in one, it's still much more expensive than the Garnier products I normally use and the results aren't any better. This Lisa Rachel product for damaged hair runs about $1.25 an ounce versus the $0.25 an ounce I pay for Garnier shampoo and conditioner combined (I buy them in bulk at BJ's).

So overall I wouldn't recommend it. I love the fact that the ingredients are much more "natural" than the ones in the shampoo and conditioner I normally use and it doesn't have any sulfates. On the other hand, it's about 5 times more expensive as the products I normally use and my hair looks worse. So, for me, the natural aspects don't outweigh the negatives.

Where to start... The first thing I noticed about this was how my hair was not already drying in the towel. Normally before I would take it out of the towel it would already be 1/4 of the way dry and I would have to wet it with a spray bottle before I could do anything else but with the Lisa Rachel my hair was still wet all the way through on the very first washing. As I was washing my hair I noticed I had a tingling feeling on my scalp (it was very nice) and as I was rinsing it came out very well. The way I do it is...

bend over in the shower so my hair is all in front of me... wet my hair thoroughly... use 10 pumps on the hair in front of me and work it through really, really good... use 10 pumps at the top and back of my hair and work that through... then I use 5 pumps on the sides of my head and you guessed it, work that through... then I work with it all and leave it in until I am almost done with my shower then rinse... Once I am out of the shower a I towel dry my hair some and them put 1 more pump in and work that through and I am done. I let my hair air dry and it comes out really, really nice.

Now I am getting ready to order the one for dry hair so I can switch in between them. Can't wait until the other comes in. The more I have been using this the better my hair has been getting. I now wash my hair every 3 days instead of every day or every other day. I've only had this for two weeks approx. and I absolutely love this stuff!! Before I used this my hair use to look extremely brittle on the ends, I always had to pull it up because it just looked terrible being down and when I would move my head my hair moved like it was all fused together. I looked like a puff ball. Now my hair lies down nice and when I pull it up for work the pony tail even moves freely and the brittle look is gone. This is really some great stuff!!

This must be good for your skin, but it did not help my dehydrated skin. I would put a lot of it on morning & night, but even after using the whole jar, it did not make my face moisturized. When I would just rinse my face w/ warm water at the end of the day, it would be just like I never had any moisturizer on it. I would recommend spending your dollars on a differant product.
