There are two things you need to know when you're ready to buy a Mason Pearson brush of any sort. One is the size: full-size (the largest size), handy (medium sized), or pocket (the smallest size). This is important not so much because of where the brush will be kept (say, in your handbag), but because of the bristle length of the various sizes. The smaller sizes have shorter bristles. The bristles have to be able to reach your scalp, and massage it and distribute the oils throughout your hair. If you want a small brush but you have thick or long hair, you'd do better with a larger size.

The other consideration is the bristle type. Do you want all nylon, like this Detangler? It is a fantastic brush for people with coarse hair or long hair or thick hair also. Even though my hair is very short, it is the only brush that works for me because my hair is so thick. This handy size is about eight inches long.

It's quite a large expense to buy any Mason Pearson product compared to other manufacturers of hair care items--it's a luxury item and the purchase is an investment--but it's worth it. If you're the type of person who would rather enjoy an evening at home having your hair brushed by your spouse instead of going to dinner and a movie, then you can justify the cost. That's how we did it :)

WEN® Replenishing Treatment Mist 6oz

I love Wen. No doubt about it. Sort of expensive to buy from the line. However, I cringe if I think of all the products I have bought over the years, each time thinking "Maybe this will be the helper or fix my hair problems / issues." Only to find out that once again, I wasted money, time, and effort. Grew more cynical & skeptical with each try.

I admit, I must have watched for about three to four years the infomercial belonging to Mr. Dean & the celebrities that promoted the item in the infomercial. I thought "Sure, if I had that big money, I could get my hair to look great too. I would have a hair stylist to fix my hair every time I wanted or needed it for an event."

Anyways, I got tired of NOT KNOWING whether the Wen line was any good or not & being skeptical because I did not know & I decided to BUY THE PRODUCT & CHECK IT OUT FOR MYSELF. Rather than join an auto delivery plan, I came to AMAZON (and a couple of other sites) to buy some of the products & try them out for myself.

I bought the SWeet Almond Mint Mist in a larger size bottle from Amazon (can not find a listing in that size, so I thought it would be OK to comment on the smaller size bottle offering, the product is the same.) & the 4oz. Bath & Body Oil of Sweet Almond Mint variety.

I absolutely love the replenishing mist. I think it is great. First of all, I have long naturally curly hair that when dry, but still curled reaches over two thirds of the way down my back. My hair is also coarse and tends to be dry (even though I have only used a blow dryer on my hair ONE TIME in the past five years.) The Sweet Almond Mist Replenshing Treatment is great, I mostly use it on my hair after it is dried. It has a great smell that refreshes the hair with a bit of moisture (not leaving it greasy, just seems to take the frizz out) and it dries quickly, not leaving your hair wet for a long period like if you used a detangler type spray or just plain water on your hair.

It is fun & tingly-refreshing to spray on your skin. Sometimes I close my eyes and just kind of mist it in the air While moving my face towards the mist. It feels great, especially in the winter time with the dry skin from heating the home, car, etc.

One night I misted it on myself right after a shower and sort of rubbed it in and I had the tingly chills (I can not accurately describe this feeling that it leaves on your skin!) for about 10 minutes afterward. I think it would be wonderfully refreshing to spray on the skin in the hot summer time after a shower and experience that feeling. I have not been able to do that, as the Sweet Almond Mint Replenishing Treatment has not been out a full year quite yet, to my knowledge, the mist came out in the second half of 2010. I started with Wen Products on my hair exclusively in November 2009, and I have NOT used anything else to cleanse with, standard shampoo & conditioner since, and have no intention to discontinue using Wen.

I know this has read as an ad for the entire line of Wen products, but I believe that someone looking for a product that puts moisturizer in the hair without leaving a greasy feeling behind, removes frizz, refreshens the hair with softness & a fresh smell, dries quickly, and can be safely used on the skin (muti-purpose) for softness, moisture & refreshening will love this product.

It does feel pricey to me, but I use it sparingly & cut corners on other things in my budget to have the Wen products to use. It is worth it to me, my hair & my skin! Thanks, Mr. Dean for the great products!

I really like the Replenishing Treatment Mist! I spray it on my hair after towel dry (after my Wen "leave-in" pump) and just let my hair air dry. I have thick, waist length hair and very rarely blow dry it. Some times I use a 1" curling iron to straighten my hair and curve the ends. When I do, I use the Replenishing Treatment on my hair strands first to avoid any chance of burning. I also use it on my skin between body lotion applications when it is feeling dry, tight and itchy. I live in a High Mountain Desert environment (in Idaho) so, especially in high winter and high summer that can happen. Spray, smooth in, ahhhhhh relief!

Ummmm one product, good for skin AND hair sounds good to me! The only reason it doesn't get a full rating is I can't use it on my face like it says. Just a little too much um moisture.

This is a different mask because it feels like pure moisturizing hydration. As it soaks into the skin, the flaky dry skin disappears. It easily rinses off and the skin is left plump and moist. Obviously from the title you can see what I'm using this as. I live in an extremely dry climate. I've bought so many different products... to include argan oil and this is by far the best product for me. I break out with everything else and I keep coming back to this. I really wanted to like this product but I cannot. When I first put it on it felt fine. Looking in the mirror my face was shiny just like you would expect from an "Intense moisture boost". However this quickly evaporated and my skin was left feeling dry. It did not help at all. Over the week or so that I used the product I saw no improvement and actually felt my skin was drier. I bought my kit at Whole Foods and I like it. Dr Hauschka products are really organic, I am so done with "green" products which state that are non comedogenic, won't clog pores, but are full of pore clogging ingredients (google research; "non comedogenic", "non acnegenic" and other statements are not regulated so producers can use them even though their product is not what they say).

Once I stopped using regular brands and started to use natural products (and less products) my skin changed for better tremendously. This kit helped a lot. It takes a week or two if not longer, but it's worth it.

The best from this kit for me are: cleanser, tonic and oil. Steaming kit and rejuvenating mask probably are great for long term usage-I didn't care for them much. This is great way to try few products and metal case can be use for storage or when traveling.

I have clogged pores, and after a few weeks I can definitely see some improvement. They are nowhere near as big or noticeable. They are still there, but I am hoping with a few more sessions with the clay mask, they will soon be history.

I was previously using SK-II, and I like this MUCH better. I have much healthier skin in a very short amount of time.

The only one thing I would say go to the website and follow the instructions from there for the facial steam and clay mask. I completely stuffed it up because I got confused with the directions that came with it.

Also really appreciate that its not tested on animals :)

I was looking forward to use these skin care products, but after reading the ingredients had to return it right away. I'm glad I read first before put it the products on. The Cleansing Cream, Normalizing Day Oil, and the Rejuvenating Mask contain Almond oil, Peanut oil, and Wheat Germ oil. I'm very allergic to all these ingredients. I can't even touch almonds because I start itching like a dog with fleas! In my case, it should have included an EPI pen. Someone at Amazon should have the job of listing the most common allergens in the products. I didn't try any of the other 2 products, so I can't comments on those. I gave it 3 stars based on other reviews.

I like these products by Nurtibiotic. I find them hard to find in stores, so have to buy online. The shower gel makes nice suds and is gentle at the same time.

...until I bought this product and so far sooo good. It seems to be helping to balance my ph level in that area of my body and also leaves the rest of my body feeling refreshed and smelling organically clean(sounds cliche but trust me its true). This shower gel is marketed to slough off dead skin cells which cause bacteria and hence odor. For some irritating reason, deodorants do NOT work on me..if anything they seem to smell too strong on me, and the unscented ones..well lets just say they're not really unscented. However, this product's "unscented" properties actually have a very mild pleasant aroma and thus far seem to be agreeable to my pheromones. I like this soap, but not because of the brand name. I have used liquid Castile soap "off and on" for many years, and have used different brands, including Dr. Bonner's. I purchased this particular size thinking it was larger than it really is. I looked at the container and not the size (remember, a gallon is 128 oz, this container holds a half gallon). My experience with liquid Castile soap is that it definitely cleans the body better than bar soaps.

The store that I usually purchase Castile soap from went out of business, so of course I turned to my favorite alternative source, Amazon online. I looked at different brands offered on the site and read a lot of reviews. I found out that you actually use the soap to wash your hair; that was a surprise. I use this soap as a body wash, a face soap, and to shampoo my hair, and I think it does an excellent job for each. But I must warn you that ladies may want to use a milder soap for sensitive parts of skin.

Bottom line, this is a good soap, but in my opinion, it is no better than some of the other Castile soaps, such as Dr. Woods, which is just as good, but cheaper in price.

I dilute this 5:1 to use in foaming dispensers. Instant lather. I can use 5:1 foam for dishes, hair, body, shaving, teeth brushing. If a foaming dispenser holds 8oz for 200 pumps and I use 20 pumps a shower, that's .13 oz of soap per shower. Thus I save money on soap which is more effective anyway.

10:1 in a spray bottle can be used for cleaning floors, cooktops, boat decks, car washing. Breathing the spray is irritating.

Gets bugs off bumper. Gets gelcoat white. Gets baked-on grease off pans. Gets red pepper stains off cutting board. Replaces 409, simple green, shampoo, body wash.

Sometimes the pump head won't come up on its own. This doesn't bother me.

Lavender tastes better than peppermint.

I am chemically sensitive and use this to make up dishwashing soap. I use 1/3 to 1/4 parts Dr. Bronner's to the rest water in an empty soap bottle and just use as you would any store bought soap liquid. You can use this for about anything, just dilute and feel safe to use without fear of chemical residue.

Kimberly Sayer Tangerine and Calendula Healing Light Night Cream

I have oily/sensitive/acne prone skin, so my skin is very difficult to treat. On top of that, wrinkles are starting to appear on my forehead! I was skeptical about this cream actually lightening acne marks and healing existing blemishes, but after just 5 days it has done just that! My skin is clear and blemish free. Amazing. Although it's specifically a night cream, I sometimes use it during the day. I love this line. Very pure ingredients.

I break out very easily and was therefore having a lot of trouble finding a night cream that didn't clog up my pores or cause a rash. When I first tried this product, it actually made my adult acne worse; then I realized I was applying WAY too much of it. (The jar says to use a dime-sized amount. I didn't listen, oops!) When I actually started using the recommended dime-sized amount, I got much better results. This cream makes my skin very soft and has lightened many of my acne scars. It also smells great and has only natural ingredients.

Unfortunately, it doesn't seem to produce the anti-aging effects I'd initially hoped for, but I love the aforementioned benefits so I'll just stick to pairing it with a separate eye cream.

For preventing acne I use Oil of Olay thermal skin cleanser, then I use Oil of Olay Definity as a daily moisturizer.

However, the calendula in this product is great for itchy patches on your skin, it's very soothing.

I was really looking forward to receiving these two products especially after all the five stars reviews I have read out there, not only on Amazon but also on other websites. I was a little sad when I received the package because the rose water spilt for like a quarter and the jar is not sealed :-/ (hence the four stars).

Besides that it is indeed a five stars product. The rose water smells amazing and my face skin felt refreshed and hydrated immediately. The clay mask does keep its promise. I have T zone skin with a lot of blackheads on my nose and under my chin I get these painful and under the skin spots which I can never squeeze because they are very deep and I have to deal with the pain until they heal on their own. This clay did its magic trick right after the first usage. The blackheads on my nose just washed away with the clay and the inflammation caused by the spots under my chin has reduced considerably and the spots are already healing. After using the clay I had a little bit of dry skin on my cheeks, but just using rose water afterwards took care of it.

I've only used clay once so far, mixed with the rose water and it was a strong mask, drying very tight, so I might have used too much clay...I've been using the rose water by itself also as a toner and its very nice. My skin is looking fine. The mask did not draw out every single black head on my face but overall I like the products. I also want to try the clay in my hair as a mask but have not gotten around to that yet.

I have purchased Elma & Sana's argan oil in the past and I knew they had great products. This is a great set at a wonderful price. Unfortunately, the "Vine" sticker covered the instructions on the jar, so my first trial of this product was less than stellar. I used a decent gob about equal to the amount of my current fave product that I use regularly, squished it through my wet hair, and when my hair dried it appeared as if I'd taken a shower in Vaseline. Not a good look for an older woman. My hair is fine, dry, and curly. Through experimentation, I found that Motions Naturally You, Define My Curls Creme is best for me on dry hair that has fallen flat or gone frizzy. Just a TINY smidge on the palms of my hands smoothed through my curls makes my hair spring right back into its prettiest curls with lots of shine and body to boot. The frizz disappears instantly, even after a day in the rain and wind. I'm sure with additional experimentation I'll find even more uses for this lightly-scented (no heavy fragrance, thank goodness!) gel-creme.

Since my hair is short (ear-tip length), this jar will last me a very long time, so it's a good bargain to boot.

That being said, I am a Caucasian with moderately naturally curly hair. I really like this creme. I wash my hair every couple days and it was able to hold the curl with little or no help the next morning. I tried it alone and with other products (gels and hairsprays) and I liked it just by itself better than I did with other products. Sometimes on day 2 I would have to spray my hair lightly with water and scrunch, but it came right back to looking like day 1. I also tried it on dry vs wet hair and liked how it felt and was applied to wet (or slightly wet) hair.

My daughter's hair quickly becomes a tangled mess and brushing it is a long process. This stuff is pretty goopy and greasy, but really helped me get her hair under control and keep from tangling up. She was very happy with the way her hair looked when we were done. Worth a try.

This is much thicker and waxier than I expected it to be, but did go in my very curly hair easily, if chunkily. I had to smooth out a few bits that were gloopy. Once I had it in my hair, it really did give my curls nice definition and shine!

The downside is that, unlike some curly hair goop, this was really only good for one day's "good hair". Sleeping on it turned it into a wild nest of tangles, and when I was washing my hair the next day, I had to shampoo twice before feeling the waxiness was gone.

This is a great cleanser. First off, it foams but is free of sulfates. I have suffered from a sulfate foaming cleanser years ago by Clean & Clear. I decided to give this one a try. It cleans well, my pores have minimized some. It also gives my face a nice radiance. The smell is not for everyone, only if you perfer a herb, earth smell. However, it doesn't smell chemical laden like less natural cleansers.

My skin is oily, but this keeps it managed. Overall, this lovely lavender cleanser agrees with my skin and I like using it.

I've been using this for a couple of months now and it cleanses better than neutrogena or dr. hauscka for a better price. I is gentle on my skin and smells great (if you like lavender).

Word of caution when using this product.Recently, I purchased this facial wash and on the label it said for sensitive skin. I don't have sensitive skin, but thought this would be a mild product.The first night I used it, I felt a mild tingling and stinging sensation, but I thought it was the cleansing agent working. My face felt a bit dry and tight the next day. Day 2 night I used it and stronger burning and pain developed.I Immediately tried to wash my face but the stinging continued.The next morning I awoke to find my eyes swollen shut and my lips swollen.

I am not a sensitive or allergic type person.. I don't have any allergies or skin problems. Be careful if you are going to use this stuff. I would not recommend it to ANYONE!I am on day two of swollen eyes and my skins feels like it is on fire with a bad sunburn. Eyes are watering and painful.

THIS stuff is great. It smells amazing, REAL lavender, probably my first time smelling the real thing and not the fake thing. It scrubs away at acne to expose it so that the disgusting stuff can ooze out, and it makes complexion much better. It keeps the oily areas clean and dry, and moisturizes the dry areas. I don't know how it does that. WOW this stuff is great. And it smells so good sometimes I squirt a little out of the bottle just so the bathroom will smell like this stuff. I'm gonna be needing to get the large size next. GREAT.
