I have easily irritated, dry/T-zone mature skin and this cleanser is very nice for my skin. The mild rice (or I've also found before that oatmeal helps my skin too) cleaned but was gentle too. And, it smells nice not all perfumey smelling. I'm pretty happy with it and will buy again.

I got this after learning that foaming cleansers can strip the acid mantle, cause acne, etc. ...but I am not pleased with the results.

After using this cleanser (and the A+ Moisture serum) religiously for the last few months I finally have the skin I've always wanted. Soft, smooth, plump, and happy!!! Simple Moisturizing Facial Wash, 5 Ounce (Pack of 2)

I am obsessed with having a clean face before bed and again in the morning before I apply fresh makeup so I am always happy to try new facial cleansers. I had never before heard of the Simple SkinCare line but dealing with the skin condition Rosacea for years it is imperative that I use products geared toward sensitive skin. This 5 oz bottle is the standard "upside down" storing squeeze bottle most facial cleansing manufacturers have adopted.

The front of the bottle states there are 2 vitamins, 1 skin loving nutrient, and 0 perfumes or dyes. Reading the ingredient list, I am not sure which is which. Here are the ingredients in the order they are listed:

Water, Sodium Laureth Sulfate, Decyl Glucoside, Cocomidopropyl Betaine, PEG-55 Propylene Glycol Oleate, Propylene Glycol, Panthenol, Tocopheryl Acetate, Bisabolol, Anthemis Nobilis Flower Oil, Pelargonium Graveolens Oil, Glycol Distearate, Sodium Hydroxymethylglycinate, Polyquaternium-39, Laureth-10, Cocomide MEA, Sodium Chloride, PEG-7 Glyceryl Cocoate, Disodium EDTA, Dipropylene Glycol, Methylparaben.

Wow. So much for being "simple". Sounds like an entire science lab is in this product. I had never heard of Anthemis Nobilis Flower Oil so I looked it up. It is a common ingredient in "natural" products as it is derived from the Anthemis Nobilis flower (in the Chamomile family so take heed if you are allergic to Chamomile). The Pelargonium Graveolens Oil is what is used to make geranium oil and has a rose scent. That might be all nice and natural sounding but I can't get past the second ingredient being Sodium Laureth Sulfate. This and its cousin Sodium Lauryl Sulfate are BAD for your skin. Over the past year I have stopped using any products that contain them. Please do a Google search for them and you will see what I am talking about. Now, stepping down from my soapbox I will simply tell you how the product worked.

It is a pearly white color and has a nice smooth texture that comes out of the bottle easily. I applied it directly to my face with my hands as directed. It cleaned well (removing all traces of makeup) and had a nice pleasant subtle Rose scent. It rinsed off fairly easy but not as well as I would have liked. I noticed the next morning after washing my face again with Simple that my face was a bit itchy. I am not sure if there is something in the product's many ingredients that I am allergic to or if the cleanser combined with my moisturizer was the problem. So, I am going to experiment again with only putting my moisturizer on one side of my face after cleansing.

I guess if you are not concerned about ingredients like SLES (Sodium Laureth) and SLS (Sodium Lauryl) then it is a product worth trying. I won't recommend it however unless they reformulate and remove the Sodium Laureth Sulfate.

EDIT 12/24/11: I tested the cleanser regarding the itching issue and it seems that there is something in it that is not combining well with the ingredients in my moisturizer (Olay brand). I haven't encountered that problem with other facial cleansers and my moisturizer.

While I didn't toally dislike this facial wash, I wasn't overly enthused about it either.

It is a typical, basic face cleanser. Creamy, lathers well and rinses well. It has a very light scent. I have to be picky with what I use on my face as my skin doesn't like alot of products, but this one caused no irritations.

As for the "moisturizing" claim, I don't feel that this product was moisturizing at all. During the winter I get dry spots/patches on my face. After using this cleanser for several weeks, I saw no difference in those dry areas. The cleanser did not add any moisturization. Honestly though, that is ok because I use a moisturizer anyway and I do not rely on a cleanser to add moisture, BUT if it claims to do something, you should see at least some sort of proof of those claims. I do use other cleansers particularly in the winter which do better at keeping my skin moisturized and minimizing the dry spots and redness.

I didn't notice any other spectacular or amazing effects.. no glowing skin, no diminished wrinkles or anything else. No decrease in the seasonal redness or dry patches. Again, I wasn't expecting those things either, but just pointing out the fact that this is your regular everyday cleanser, with no added benefits.

I wouldn't necessarily advise against buying this cleanser, but I also would not specifically recommend it. It is ok for the price, but there are others in the price range for sensitive skin which have better results.

Some reviewers question the list of ingredients, but most facial washes have a long list of unpronounceable ingredients. Just because they sound weird, doesn't make them bad. So unless you're a chemist or a dermatologist, don't assume that it's bad.

At least one reviewer gave the product bad marks because you can't put it around your eyes. Lots of facial soaps/cremes make similar warnings. That doesn't make this a lousy product. It's not called, "Eye cleaner" or "Eye moisturizer." It's for the face. While the eyes are part of the face, it's a special part that is super sensitive, which is why there are special products just for that.

Overall, this product is quite good and delicate. Is it the best thing ever? No, but I'm happy with it and probably most people would be too.

I am a forty-eight-year-old man who was born with raunchy skin. My complexion is best described as oily, especially my forehead. Keeping my face free of acne was a daily struggle until I received the Olay Professional Pro-X Advanced Cleansing System (Olay Professional Pro-X Advanced Cleansing System) which taught me the importance of exfoliation. I dare say that I experienced miraculous results using the Olay products. After a few months of continual usage, my skin became remarkably healthier and more manageable. There were fewer pimples, especially on my nose. (When I did get a pimple, it seemed to vanish sooner than normal.) My skin was smoother, more vibrant and more toned. My self-confidence and self-esteem increased as my acne problems decreased. Let's face it, men also want healthier skin. Pimples hurt, physically, emotionally and financially; research has shown that if two applicants of equal qualification interview for the same job, the more attractive one will get it.

With that said, I was hesitant about trying the Simple Moisturizing Facial Wash. I didn't want to alter a cleansing regiment that had been proven successful. However, I believe that beauty products are like medicines. Sometimes our bodies become immune to them and they no longer work as effectively. It is good to try a new product. When I was bodybuilding, I had to change my weight lifting routines in order for my muscles to continue growing. Therefore, I decided to try the Simple Wash. If I experienced difficulties, I would gladly run back to the Olay products.

I quit using my Neutrogena Transparent Facial Bar, Acne-Prone Skin Formula, (Neutrogena Transparent Facial Bars, Acne-Prone Skin Formula, 3.5 Ounce (Pack of 2)) and I continued using the Olay Cleansing System. However, I substituted the Simple Wash for the Olay Cleanser. Ounce per ounce, the Simple Wash is half the price of the Olay Cleanser. Therefore, it is definitely more economical. Also, the Simple Wash can be easily ordered through Amazon if not readily available in department stores. A product that is highly popular in England, the Simple Wash has just recently been introduced into the United States.

I have posted some photographs of the Simple Wash on this web site. It arrived in a five-ounce tube without a box or any paperwork. Instructions and all ingredients are printed on the back of the tube, which, for safety reasons, had a cap that was sealed with plastic. The ingredients are too many to list here; however, many of them are also used in the Olay Cleanser. This led me to believe that the Simple Wash also exfoliates the skin.

I have faithfully used the Simple Wash for ONE MONTH. I normally use it to wash my face at least twice a day, in the morning while preparing to go to work and at night before retiring to bed. I also use it before attending a social event. I have not experienced any allergic reactions such as rashes, blisters, hives, etc. Basically, the Simple Wash is fragrance free. It does not have an overwhelming flowery fragrance that some people might find offensive. However, if I raise a small dab of it to my right nostril, I do smell a slight odor. My Olay Cleanser smells similar and it is also advertised as fragrance free.

A little does go a long way. I only use a small pearl-drop of the Simple Wash on my hands before rubbing it on my face. The amount of lather produced will depend upon the amount of Simple Wash used. (The five-ounce tube should last me at least two to three months.) For the first two weeks, my skin was slightly dry and taut. I had to rub into my face a small amount of Suave Body Lotion, Vitamin E, (Suave Body Lotion, Vitamin E, 32-Ounce (Pack of 2)) in order to give it some moisture. However, eventually my skin must have grown accustomed to the Simple Wash and became noticeably smoother, softer and refreshed. Despite this winter's strange up-and-down temperatures in Chesapeake, VA, my complexion, thanks to the Simple Wash, is looking quite good. I don't have any red, dry patches around the corners of my nose or mouth.

If you are a man or woman who is searching for an economical facial cleanser that performs well at exfoliating skin, then I highly recommend you try the Simple Moisturizing Facial Wash. It is less than half the price of the Olay Professional Pro-X Exfoliating Renewal Cleanser and works just as well, if not better. I am not criticizing Olay products in any way. I've used the Olay Body Moisturizing Bath Soap (Olay body moisturizing bar soap for sensitive and hypo allergenic skin 4.25 oz, 6 ea) nearly all of my life and will continue to do so. However, as I wrote earlier, it is sometimes good to vary one's beauty regiment because, like a workout regiment, it can grow stale. Your skin, muscles, etc., will not respond as well with the same daily routine used year after year.

I am an AA 26 yo female and I have been struggling with acne since my teens having been on every antibiotic, cream, gel, face lotion, wash over the counter and Rx. I have even been on Accutane and although it helped my acne significantly, moderate acne has resurfaced 2 years ago. This is the only product that keeps my acne to a minimum and I found it by accident in my mother's bathroom. She uses it too more so for anti-aging purposes. These are awesome. After I stopped taking birth control pills I started breaking out so I looking for something to help. I can't use anything too strong because it just makes me break out worse. I found these and saw a bunch of mixed reviews but decided to give them a try. SOOO glad I did. After about a week of 2x a day use (after washing my face) I saw a huge difference. Once my face cleared up I started using once a day in the mornings. Now I only have to use them a couple times a week.

Couple tips...each pad will come out with way too much of the liquid on it so fold it up and ring it out back into the jar (with clean hands of course). You will have a lot more of the medicated liquid left over and I've been buying plain pads from the store and using them when the included pads run out. Lasts me a little while longer.

Also, they do tend to sting a bit when you first start using them and if your face is not completely clean so make sure to use a good cleanser before using.

They don't smell too bad either so don't expect a bad medicine like smell like some of the other products.

WEN® Replenishing Treatment Mist 6oz

I love Wen. No doubt about it. Sort of expensive to buy from the line. However, I cringe if I think of all the products I have bought over the years, each time thinking "Maybe this will be the helper or fix my hair problems / issues." Only to find out that once again, I wasted money, time, and effort. Grew more cynical & skeptical with each try.

I admit, I must have watched for about three to four years the infomercial belonging to Mr. Dean & the celebrities that promoted the item in the infomercial. I bought the SWeet Almond Mint Mist in a larger size bottle from Amazon (can not find a listing in that size, so I thought it would be OK to comment on the smaller size bottle offering, the product is the same.) & the 4oz. Bath & Body Oil of Sweet Almond Mint variety.

I absolutely love the replenishing mist. I think it is great. First of all, I have long naturally curly hair that when dry, but still curled reaches over two thirds of the way down my back. My hair is also coarse and tends to be dry (even though I have only used a blow dryer on my hair ONE TIME in the past five years.) The Sweet Almond Mist Replenshing Treatment is great, I mostly use it on my hair after it is dried. It has a great smell that refreshes the hair with a bit of moisture (not leaving it greasy, just seems to take the frizz out) and it dries quickly, not leaving your hair wet for a long period like if you used a detangler type spray or just plain water on your hair.

It is fun & tingly-refreshing to spray on your skin. Sometimes I close my eyes and just kind of mist it in the air While moving my face towards the mist. It feels great, especially in the winter time with the dry skin from heating the home, car, etc.

One night I misted it on myself right after a shower and sort of rubbed it in and I had the tingly chills (I can not accurately describe this feeling that it leaves on your skin!) for about 10 minutes afterward. I think it would be wonderfully refreshing to spray on the skin in the hot summer time after a shower and experience that feeling. I have not been able to do that, as the Sweet Almond Mint Replenishing Treatment has not been out a full year quite yet, to my knowledge, the mist came out in the second half of 2010. I started with Wen Products on my hair exclusively in November 2009, and I have NOT used anything else to cleanse with, standard shampoo & conditioner since, and have no intention to discontinue using Wen.

I know this has read as an ad for the entire line of Wen products, but I believe that someone looking for a product that puts moisturizer in the hair without leaving a greasy feeling behind, removes frizz, refreshens the hair with softness & a fresh smell, dries quickly, and can be safely used on the skin (muti-purpose) for softness, moisture & refreshening will love this product.

It does feel pricey to me, but I use it sparingly & cut corners on other things in my budget to have the Wen products to use. It is worth it to me, my hair & my skin! Thanks, Mr. Dean for the great products!

I really like the Replenishing Treatment Mist! I spray it on my hair after towel dry (after my Wen "leave-in" pump) and just let my hair air dry. I have thick, waist length hair and very rarely blow dry it. Some times I use a 1" curling iron to straighten my hair and curve the ends. When I do, I use the Replenishing Treatment on my hair strands first to avoid any chance of burning. I also use it on my skin between body lotion applications when it is feeling dry, tight and itchy. I live in a High Mountain Desert environment (in Idaho) so, especially in high winter and high summer that can happen. Spray, smooth in, ahhhhhh relief!

Ummmm one product, good for skin AND hair sounds good to me! The only reason it doesn't get a full rating is I can't use it on my face like it says. Just a little too much um moisture.

It doesn't quite lather as well as I'd like but it's gentle and smells very good. I would purchase this again.

I use this while pregnant but I think there are better, cheaper options on the market that are just as safe and healthy for pregnancy. It smells okay, not fantastic but not bad, and it lathers okay if you use a few pumps worth.

I've used this product 3 times so far, as it does say it is a weekly mask. First off, it says to rub it in your hands until it turns green well I rubbed and rubbed and it didn't turn green, not even light green but white. So right off the bad I didn't know if I was "activating the enzymes" as the bottle says. So I applied the product which is easy enough. I didn't see any major difference, but the next day my face was red, itchy and flaking. It might be my skin getting used to it, but even after the redness and flaking have passed my skin looks no better than before I used it.

Would I recommend this product, NO. But other Bliss products have been better to me.

I have used this product now once or twice a week for the past 2 months and it sucks! There are 2 tubes (one with blue stuff and one with a yellow cream) and they're suposed to combine together to perform some magical cleaning on your pores. The yellow will not come out and even when I figured out how to plug the blue so that only yellow comes out it does nothing for my skin! If anything I think it actually clogged my poers. $50 well spent. Boo!

I really like this product but no where in the product description does it say it is a once a week mask. If you are looking for a mask, this one is very,very good. I plan to purchase again.

this product doesn't deliver what it glowingly promises. It's no better than any in the same category that I've tried. I am extremely disappointed.

Clarins Men Active Face Wash Foaming Gel 125ml/4.4oz

This is a really a useful face wash. I use it on my face everyday because it is not too harsh, it never burns. It also helps treat blackheads and pimples really well, keeping my face clear and smooth.

These do a good job at taking my make up off. I usually only use it to remove eye make up before / after I wash my face. They are kind of rough though. If I'm not super gentle it makes my skin feel raw. This is my first time trying make up remover wipes though so all of them could be like that. I think I will try a different brand before buying these again.

First of all, the pricing of these on Amazon is ridiculous...you can find them at a local "mart" for 1 buck for a 20 wipe pack.

That said,this is a great product. It smells pleasant and one wipe goes far. I used these four days in a row to remove all my makeup including foundation; 1 wipe did the trick and I probably could have cleaned someone else's face off too.I loved the fact I could use just one of these cloths and not stain another one of my wash cloths.

Unfortunately, the product dried out my oily/combo sensitive skin. The third day it left my skin feeling unpleasantly tight and dry, and the fourth day left the skin on my cheeks and around my nose red and stinging. Oddly enough, the skin around my eyes is fine, and I'll continue to use the wipes to remove only my eye makeup. By the way, I did follow the directions, which indicate you must wash your face off after using these wipes.

If you only wear eye makeup, or don't have fussy skin, these wipes are perfect....just don't order them from Amazon for this stupid high price.

I was worried when I got these that they would be too dry to work well. I'm happy to say that my expectations were wrong, they aren't at all dried out. In fact, the only issue that I had with them was that they were TOO wet. They definitely usable, and I'd rather them be too wet than dried out, but if having too much moisture is an issue for you then these may not be right for you.

I've gotten these twice, and both packages were the same so I assume it wasn't just mine that are this way. Definitely worth it for the price.

I bought this cleanser (Pre-Peel Salicylic Deep Gel Exfoliating Cleanser) and the Glycolic Acid 30% Gel Peel Enhanced with Retinol and Green Tea Extract (Professional Chemical Peel) from Perfect Image through Amazon in mid-September and I really like the results so far. I first used the cleanser on my face for 5 days and then did the peel on the weekend. Then I took a week off and repeated the process. I leave the peel on my face for ten minutes. The peel does have a strong tingling sensation. Now I use the cleanser a few times a week and the peel on the weekends if I don't plan on being out in the sun. The cleanser makes my face feel very clean and smooth. My skin is brighter and the dark spots are fading. I am 50 with fair-skin, green eyes and do not burn easily. I have very oily, sensitive skin and cannot even wear most makeup. I do wear a tinted sunblock. This combo has really been good for my skin to help control oil, breakouts and fade dark spots.

Noticed a difference right away...saw blackheads n enlarged pores vanishing..really helps clear up acne pimples fast!!!im so relieved to finally start seeing results because the over the counter stuff just was doing it 100 percent just start n then bom right back again...so hoping my face gets clear completely and stays..so far big plus!!! I think I found a new product..I'm going to continue to use for sure...it's a must you won't regret it I don't!!!!!

I came across this product by using the sorting options on Amazon to look for a facial cleanser with all natural ingredients. I have been using a product called "the regimen" by acne.org which comes with a facial cleanser, a treatment bottle, and a moisturizer. I didnt like the facial cleanser that came with the regimen so I figured that I would replace it with an all natural facial cleanser like this one. The problem was that the regimen is applied twice a day (in the morning and before going to bed), this product can only be used once every 2-3 days. So I figured that I would use this facial cleanser every 2-3 days along with my regular treatment bottle and moisturizer from the regimen. I wouldnt recommend doing this to other people thinking of doing this as it left my skin really dry for about a week and left red blemishes on parts of my face when using this together with other acne fighting products. The red blemishes will probably go away after 2 weeks of not using any products but my face still felt dry for about a week after using it together with other acne products.

Using this product alone though worked very well, I noticed results after the first day. I have sensitive oily skin that is really hard to treat with acne products because the products either make my face dry up, overproduce oil, or the chemicals are too harsh on the sensitive skin and create blemishes. This product felt like a thousand needles on my face every time I used it until it dried off but its really effective when used alone, some of the pimples that I had under my skin faded almost completely away after 3 uses and some of the tougher pimples shrank after the 3rd use. The only side effect that it has had when using it alone is that it makes my face super dry after cleaning it off but its worth the hassle for the great results that im getting so far. Dont go overboard on using the product though, you have to give your face time to heal so its best to use the product once every 3 days or so (the bottle suggest once every 2-3 days).

Its a great product just dont use it in combination with other acne fighting products because it might be too harsh on your face together with the other products. Some people might experience dryness in the face when using this product but after reading some of the other reviews it seems to be pretty common. The results have definitely been worth putting up with the dryness for me, just be sure to give your skin time to heal and dont use it too often (use it once every 3 days).

...Should have been an indicator that this was not going to end pretty. I received both the cleanser and peel (which I think I might have to return after my experience with the scrub) promptly and was very excited to try the cleanser after reading so many fantastic reviews. However when I went to first use it, I was immediately thrown off by the striking, aqua blue color and bathroom cleaner scent. I went back to look through the reviews, but found no mention, from anyone, in regards to either of these things. Therefore, I decided I was probably just being paranoid and to ignore the red flags that went up in my head. I gave it a go, and boy, do I regret it. I have a horrible, bumpy, rash all over my chin and jaw line. My fine, mild, chin acne is now a painful, dry, red mess, and larger, tender bumps have started to form underneath the patches of dried skin. I am pretty sure it is a response of my integumentary and endorcrine systems to secrete more oil -which isn't what I was hoping forsince the skin is so dead and sapped moisture.

Although I do have fairer, more sensitive skin, I have never had an adverse reaction to tea tree oil, green tea extract, or salicylic acid -even used in conjunction. My only guess is that the reaction was due to either the dye, the scent, or both. Unless I received a tampered product. I should have listened to my gut in the beginning when I was not comfortable with look and the smell of the product. I have contacted the company just to share my concerns, and I am certain I will hear back from them soon. I will further update my review from there.

My final words to you are this: since so many others seem to have great experiences, don't let my review completely deter you. However, if you do have skin that may react to certain dyes or scents and you end up with an electric blue, strongly scented product, please, err on the side of caution. It's better to save your skin and your sanity the trouble.

This stuff is absolutely amazing. It is miracle soap and works wonders for oily skin. My husband even loves it.

Looking for a cleanser on more of the natural side, I chose the Jurlique cleanser by the ingredients list only and when it arrived, I was surprised I missed the label that read 'Rebalance Oiliness' because I have very dry to combo skin. I decided to give it a try anyway and it worked wonderfully. Previously, I was using a soy cleanser from Fresh, it's very gentle but it didn't completely get rid of my build-up. This product takes care of that and it makes my skin look brighter and less dull. As a result, I've been using less of my Clarisonic brush. Oily skin or not, this product takes care of my buildup, my main concern, without drying me out or making the skin taut. I've tried other natural and organic lines that had irritated my skin but didn't experience any of that with Jurlique. I'm very happy with this product.

I have used this cleanser off and on for several years,and find it the best of the lot for my skin. My face feels thoroughly cleansed without feeling tight or dry,and it does not cause me to break out,which is a problem I have with many gentle cleansers.

I am always skeptical of using a new facial cleanser because I have a stressful past of breakouts. I have pretty much stuck with Benoxyl, until I started using Jurlique's purifying foaming cleanser. A runny gel with a very natural fruity fragrance, I find that it not only does not dry out my skin or lead to break outs, but it also smooths my skin. I think this is attributable to the fruit acids in it. Highly recommended!

I use this product on my hair daily and it has kept it very neat. I don't rub it on my hands, I use it with my fingertips and apply it on my hair (too thick). I am very excited that is now being offered on Amazon because I cannot find it on the Wen website. Thank you Amazon!

Olay Quench In-Shower Body Lotion-8.4 oz

First, this product really does moisturize. My skin is very dry and sensitive, and this In-Shower Body Lotion really does a great job. In addition, it smells fantastic and has the slightest amount (really, it's barely there) of gold shimmer. It makes me feel like a princess every time. :)
