Obviously from the title you can see what I'm using this as. I live in an extremely dry climate. I've bought so many different products... to include argan oil and this is by far the best product for me. I break out with everything else and I keep coming back to this. I really wanted to like this product but I cannot. When I first put it on it felt fine. Looking in the mirror my face was shiny just like you would expect from an "Intense moisture boost". However this quickly evaporated and my skin was left feeling dry. It did not help at all. Over the week or so that I used the product I saw no improvement and actually felt my skin was drier. There's literally a puddle of water at the top of the tub. The product is very soft. The Noxzema I remember was much thicker with more camphor and menthol.

Olay Pro-X Advanced Cleansing System 0.68 Fl Oz

I know you are wondering if a $28 item can compare at all to something that cost nearly ten times the price. The answer is YES! I have the Clarisonic Pro which is the top of the line for their model, so before you spend the money on both, I'll do a side by side comparison for you. Mind you, I am VERY happy with my Clairsonic. Even knowing that this I am happy I made the purchase for both of them, since they are fairly different. Here's why:

Size: The Olay Pro-X is about half the size of the Clarisonic. This is actually better in many ways. It is easier to hold, lightweight, it fits in my shower caddy easily without dropping, you can travel with it very easily. I think this is my favorite part about the differences. It also makes the brush head much smaller, which has a different effect. Of course, the motor is at least half the size as well, and this effects how this feels. I can't actually say it is better or worse than the Clarisonic, it's just different. It is like getting a Sweedish massage (Olay) as opposed to a deep tissue massage (Clarisonic).

Cleansing Products: The Olay cleansing formula has tiny granules and is exfoliating. The Clarisonic cleansers are gels and the specifically say that you cannot use exfoliating cleansers with granules on theirs most likely because the motor is stronger and it will scratch your skin. I really liked the way my skin felt after using the Olay product. I felt sparkling clean and my skin was shining.

Versatility: This is where I love my Clarisonic more. Since I bought the pro, I can use it on my body, and have different size brush heads and change the timing. Is it worth 10x more the price? Not necessarily. The Olay Pro-X has two speeds, you don't really need more than that. But I do love having the option of using the full body brush on the Clarisonic. Also, there is slightly more control with the Clarisonic since it is sturdier, the ProX does slide a bit, though not excessively so. You can still maintain some control with the Por-X though not as much.

Charging: The Pro-X uses two double-A batteries that it comes with. It was a bear to take the battery case off, but once I did it was fine, and it doesn't need recharging that often. I use the best batteries in the world, eneloopSanyo Eneloop 8 Pack AA NiMH Pre-Charged Rechargeable Batteriesand I'm good to go for several weeks. The Clarisonic has a charging holder that you plug into the wall, you don't need to change the batteries, but you do need to find a place in your home to park it for an hour or so every week. I prefer having the double A rechargeable option of the Olay. It also makes it so much easier to travel with.

Please note: It is not that easy to figure out how to install the batteries, and there are no instructions. You might not want to pull open the wrong part of your product for fear of breaking it. I had to call the company to figure it out, and I've had a couple of people email me to ask me, so here goes: Hold the product with your right hand by the top/sides of the handle with the brush head facing down. Keep holding firmly with your right hand, while with your left you pull the handle away from you. The top part of the handle comes off to load the batteries.

The bottom line: I think the Olay Pro-X is a steal. If you are on the fence about which to buy this or the Clarisonic, and you only need it for your face and not your body, you will probably be better off saving your money and going with this! Personally, I am glad I have both. This is definitely worth the investment!

I was looking for something like this but I didn't want to spend $200 on the other brand when I wasn't sure it would work. For $30 I can take a bit of a chance. I have been using this brush since Christmas Eve and I am amazed at how much better my skin looks. At 56, zits and clogged pores that just dodn't want to go away are pretty much on the mend. Imbedded black heads have disappeared. I wouldn't use this more than once a day because it tends to dry out my skin. Hydrate after you use this. In short, I'm really glad I bought this cleaning system. A little instruction about how often to change the brush head would be nice, but I can live without it.

I am mid 20s and have very congested but dry/sensitive skin. No matter how many face cleansers I would use, I would get out of the shower and still my face would have make up and not feel or look clean. I became more and more interested in the clarisonic mia brush (the cheapest model) but that week I saw an ad for this Olay brush. WOW. my skin has not felt so smooth before in my life. my skin is still problematic but I do not experience the awful flakiness that perpetuated my problem skin! when i use my witch hazel toner, there is NO make up or grime in my cotton cosmetic pad. If you want a deap clean, this is for you. I was surprised the brushes are not crazy expensive, but there is no detail on how often they suggest you to replace them. I'll use my own judgement on that. Love that I can leave this in the shower and not worry about it possibly getting wet or having any place where I need to plug it in. Great value if you think about the amount we ladies spend on face products. I love the sample cleanser in the box, a little goes a long way. I may think about purchasing that when it is empty.

I am a regular user of the CLARISONIC Skin Care System 1 ea, so I may be a little biased, but the people who think this is comparable may not have used the other brush.

If you are comparing in cost, it is about 20% comparable for about 15% of the cost.

The motion of the brush head is differentthis one rotates and the Clarisonic uses a sonic pulse.

You have to replace the brush heads in both, and the Olay ones are about half the price of the Clarisonic.

With this brush, it seems easy to tear my face up, and with the Clarisonic it seems nearly impossible. I can use my Clarisonic brush on a daily basis, but I don't feel comfortable using this one more than a few times a week if I was using it regularly.

I also found it surprising that they recommend you use it (it actually comes with it) with an abrasive face wash, when my Clarisonic specifically tells you NOT to use it with abrasive cleansers. I'm kind of cringing at the idea of gradually tearing my face up with the abrasive cleanser and the brush.. not a pretty picture! I guess if you don't have sensitive skin and really need some serious exfoliation its OK??

WaterproofingIt has a gasket on the inside that makes it hard to replace the batteries, and over repeated battery replacements you would kill the gasket. The more expensive brand uses inductance to recharge, so it will never get water on the inside. I think this gasket would probably last you a year if you use the brush on a daily basis and replace the batteries regularly. I've been using my other brush for 2 years. Also, I feel I need to mention it was pretty tough for me to figure out how to replace the batteries. They have about a sentence on it, and it doesn't do justice to what a pain it really is, which is why I think this little gasket will actually wear out from the pressure fit.

I Actually think this brush is better to use on my body than my face because its pretty abrasive compared to my Clarisonic. I'm planning to keep it just for that.

All in all, I think you get what you pay for. If you are willing to make an investment and think a brush for your face is something worth springing for, go for the more expensive brand.

I am a forty-seven-year-old male who has always had raunchy, combination skin, i.e., too oily on my forehead and too dry around my nose, mouth and cheekbones. My cleansing regiment has always consisted of briefly washing my face with a light amount of Neutrogena Original Formula Facial Cleansing Bar and dabbing Clearasil Vanishing Acne Treatment Cream on extremely oily surfaces which tend to break out with pimples and blackheads. I never use a washcloth, which tends to damage my skin, drying it out and making it look worse than it actually is. When I take a bath or shower, I use the Olay Body Ultra Moisture Facial and Bath Bar. It moisturizes and hydrates my skin (and doesn`t leave a filmy ring around my bathtub). With this regiment, I manage to keep my complexion looking fairly decent.

I was skeptical when first introduced to the Olay Professional Pro-X Advanced Cleansing System. How could something so dainty and easy to use have a significant effect on my skin? Men naturally exfoliate their skin when they shave; however, unless they are extremely hairy, men only shave once in the morning and they never shave their foreheads, noses and lips. (We do pluck a lot of hair out of our nostrils.) I was extremely curious to learn if the Olay Cleansing System would improve my complexion.

The Olay Cleansing System (see my posted photographs) came with one light-weight, easy-to-grip handle; one brush head; a tiny sample tube of exfoliating renewal cleanser (0.68 ounces); and two AA batteries. Instructions for installing the brush head and the AA batteries are on the side of the box. The brush head is easy to install by simply pressing it on; it automatically locks in place. The batteries, however, were difficult; they tried my patience. The plastic storage compartment for the batteries is tricky to remove because it is watertight. After all, the Olay Cleansing System can be used in the shower.

I have continued my normal cleansing regiment with the Neutrogena bar and the Clearasil cream. In addition to this, I now use the Olay Cleansing System. In the mornings, I use it before I shave or, if I forget, immediately after I shave. I haven't noticed a difference when I use it. The exfoliating renewal cleanser doesn't dry out my skin. I also wash my face and use the Olay Cleansing System before going to bed. Sometimes, after I've come home from work, and I want to feel clean and refreshed before going to a social engagement, I will wash my face and use the Olay Cleansing System.

The instructions for using the Olay Cleansing System are located on the back of the box. There is the on/off button and the two-speed button. I always use the fastest speed because it gives me a comfortable massage. However, I resist temptation and never massage my face for more than sixty seconds as explained in the instructions. However, I use the Olay Cleansing System on my neck, chest and shoulders wherever there is exposed skin that someone might see.

I never use the Olay Cleansing System in the shower for fear that the rotating brush might strike one of my eyes or get tangled in my hair. (I am not very coordinated and am prone to accidents.) It is much easier for me to look at myself in the mirror when I use it. However, it is nice to know that the handle with the enclosed power source is waterproof; it alleviates the fear of becoming electrocuted.

Because its bristles are soft, I can use the brush on delicate facial features such as my nose and lips. (Haven't you ever had a pimple on your lip? They can be painful.) It is recommended that the brush be replaced after three months. If used sparingly, the trial-size sample of exfoliating renewal cleanser should last a month. At the end of this time, the consumer should know if this product is right for him/her. According to the box, Olay promises to refund the customer's money if he/she isn't satisfied.

Printed instructions are not included in the box. However, if the consumer doesn't wish to keep the box, he/she can do like me and photograph its various sides, using a digital camera, and download the photographs to his/her PC's hard drive or to a portable hard drive. The box can also be taken apart, flattened and the sides scanned into a PC.

After faithful, continuous usage of this product for over two weeks, I was excited to notice a significant difference in my complexion. It had greatly improved. My skin actually felt softer and smoother. It was more toned and consistent, meaning that I had one type of complexion over my entire face in lieu of two or three types. Indeed, I was pleasantly surprised to learn that exfoliation is essential for clean, healthy skin.

If you have skin that is difficult to manage, like I do, then I highly recommend trying the Olay Professional Pro-X Advanced Cleansing System. Clean, healthy skin is priceless. Having clean, healthy skin makes you feel more confident about yourself even if no one else notices the difference. In my opinion, buying a new cleansing system, in hopes that it may improve the quality of your skin, is money well spent. As for me, I plan on buying more of the Olay Pro-X Exfoliating Renewal Cleanser. Because it is so lightweight and compact, I plan on taking the entire Olay Cleansing System with me whenever I visit my parents for the holidays.

SweetSpot Labs - Gentle Wash

SweetSpot cleanser seemed heaven sent. I try to be conscious of the ingredients in most products and I was confident that a cleanser designed for my sweet spot would be gentle on it (It's called a Gentle Feminine Wash). That said, I gave this product two distinct shots. It failed both times.

I used this for months and could never understand why I was having so many problems in my pants. I kept attributing it to a preexisting health condition that I have and did not connect the dots. I ran out of the sweet spot wash (I used the citrus scent) and used another cleanser for months. When I had the chance I bought another 4 oz bottle of Sweet Spot and almost immediately (within hours) after using started having a burning problem again.

This product is not hypoallergenic. I knew that going in but I figured a product someone had designed for ladybits would be for sensitive skin. I am not sure what the ingredient/s are/were that caused s burning, blistering itch, but I don't want to keep testing. I'm using the rest of it to shave my legs and haven't had an issue. I will not use it again for its intended purpose.

I have been using Pureology Anti-Fade set for five months now; both the shampoo and conditioner. [I would share a link, but there are fake Pureology products being sold on Amazon and I don't want to point a link to one by accident---try Ulta!] The price for the Pureology set was something I would never spend, but my cousin gave it to me as a birthday gift. For a shampoo and conditioner to last five months is pretty abnormal for me, but the product is top quality and one I'd buy again.

I had this Milkshake shampoo (and matching conditioner) from a three-piece set I bought from my stylist. I religiously use (and recommend) the serum, and I could get the serum, shampoo, and conditioner for $40 so why not, I thought? Yeah. That's what I get for thinking. Yes this shampoo smells good. But it's like it turns to water when it hits my hair, I can't get enough lather without using considerably more than I am accustomed to, and it just doesn't spread around and make my hair feel clean. It just feels like a cheap drugstore shampoo with a great smell. It also makes my hair feel like decimated STRAW. Just---nasty. I don't want to make it worse by saying that Pantene performs better than this Milk Shake product, but it's true. I find that to be so sad.

I used a dime sized amount of Pureology every morning, and this Milkshake needs considerably more and just feels like fake-o chemical grodiness. I cannot believe that I'm about to go buy another bottle of Pureology but, it's a tough act to follow. My curly, frizzy, Brillo-pad hair just does not like the Milkshake shampoo. Neither do I.

I'm 23 and have very oily acne prone skin. I have tried many facial cleansers, department store & drugstore, but this is by far the best I have ever used. It's gentle on your skin but still strips away oil and make-up. It's refreshing and just like the bottle promises it does help your skin look more radiant and fresh. It has little beads in it to help scrub away dead skin cells but it's not abrasive at all. I really can't say enough good things about this cleanser. It smells great too, like oranges. Spa Cosmetic Headband, headband ( Multi-Pack)

It's not a big deal, but there was no indication that what I'd be receiving was anything other than what the picture showedwhich was a white headband. My mother bought two of these years ago & could not find them anywhere. She is very particular, not liking the ones w/ velcro out there or the waffle weave kind they sell. She has a big head physically & the cloth headbands they sell in the grocery store just come right off of her head (they don't expand well). When I saw these were still available, she was happy, so I bought her two of them. She's fine with the color not being white, and though they were on the expensive side for what they are, at least I got her EXACTLY what she wants. They are thicker & wider than normal headbands, have more elastic, and really hold hair back well. They don't slip off the head easily, they last for years, and wash up in the washer & dryer beautifully. It's a shame these are no longer sold in the stores, at least where I live.

I have tried many face scrubs, from the expensive department store brands to the the inexpensive ones available at drugstores. None of them left my face feeling so soft and polished as Skin Food Black Sugar Mask Wash Off.

I use this product once or twice per week, in between my make-up remover and foaming cleanser. I find that I have the best results if I dampen my face with warm water before applying this product. I then rub it in into my skin until most of the sugar is dissolved, focusing on my most troublesome areas, then rinse with warm water before proceeding with my cleanser. I find that my cleanser foams up and works much better after exfoliation. I then follow this up with my softener/toner and moisturizer.

I read many reviews on various beauty websites, both positive and negative, before deciding to give this a go. The most common complaints I've read is that the fragrance is unpleasant or that it left the skin feeling dry. I will try to address both of those points.

I personally like the fragrance it is very citrus-like... in a fresh way, not in a chemical household cleaner way. It is a strong fragrance, but it doesn't linger after the product is washed off. Since everyone has different reactions to fragrances, I can only offer this description you can decide if it is off-putting or not when you try it for yourself.

To those who complain that their skin felt dry afterwards, I would remind them that this is an exfoliating scrub, not a moisturizer. This product is meant to compliment your skin care routine, not to replace it. Anyone who ends their skin care routine with an exfoliating product should expect to have dry skin. You are sloughing off dead skin and the natural oils in your face are going to wash off with it. It is only natural that you should follow that up with a good moisturizer.

In all, I would highly recommend this product to anyone who has struggled to find a facial exfoliation product they are truly happy with. You won't be disappointed!

Skin Food always makes great products, and this is no exception! It may seem similar to the Brazilian Black Sugar Scrub, but it is a bit different. This is not as oily as that one is, which means this doesn't spread quite as evenly or as easily, but that doesn't take away from the overall effectiveness of this product. It'll definitely scrub you clean!

Excellent for clearing up post inflammatory hyper pigmentation. I'm fair skinned (very very pale), so I can scar easily. With trouble combination skin, acne, age, etc...this has been a problem I've dealt with for years, nearly decades. The problem with cystic acne is you can develop post inflammatory hyper pigmentation, which in simple terms are those dark splotchy purple/red spots that linger for months as it heals, sometimes even permanently scarring the area. And if you are older than your usual acne sufferer (ie a teenager), it takes even longer for them to go away because of the time it takes for collagen & elastin to be produced in the body. They are unsightly & seem to take forever to go away, especially if you get multiple flare ups of acne atop the same spot. Well, I finally managed to get the acne under control & decided I needed to get a product that could help clear up the dark marks left over on my cheeks. I've seen dermatologists multiple times for both acne & scarring, & although they are very capable, at times their remedies are costly. I needed something affordable and effective. I happened across this product amidst researched reviews & reports. It was priced affordably and seemed to have majority positive reviews on various sites. I did buy this elsewhere in a single tube to try it first, before investing in a multi-pack. There are two kinds: normal & oily skin. I got the one for normal, though perhaps I should have considered for oily, as it will moisturize the sites in which you apply it. But I've not broken out because of it thus far. I've used it for about a week now, apply twice a day as it recommends. I wash my face, treat it for acne, apply this (ONLY to the sites of discoloration), & top it off with sunblock. I wear sunblock anyway, but it is HIGHLY recommended that you wear it, especially when using this product. It works by inhibiting the production of melanin in the skin, within the site of application. Not using sunscreen/block, allows the spots to return once you have finishing using Ambi, because the skin's melanin is what makes us tan & freckle; protecting & reacting to the sun's rays. Thus, this will make you more photo sensitive to the sun for a while. It does have it's own sunscreen mixed in, but you should really be mindful of your skin (the largest organ of your body) & wear sunscreen everyday. & don't trust the ones only in your make up. It degrades over time & tends to be a low spf. I digress, in the short amount of time, Ambi has managed not to break me out further & the areas of extreme discoloration have already improved by 50%. I'm extremely please with the results. The majority of dark purple contrast has faded to a light pink or pale red. This type of result would have taken me weeks without assistance. Ambi recommends you use it for about 3 months & discontinue use thereafter. I would theorize that my spots will diminish adequately long before then. Remember, there is no magic cure or youth potion, but if you take care of your skin when you are in your teens & early 20's (avoiding excessive sun, wearing sunscreen, handling acne, etc...) you'll be much better off in the long run. And if you are going to use ANY lightening cream, be mindful that you are going to be more photosensitive afterwords; wear sunscreen.

I am currently 57 and have brown sun spots on my face which my dermatologist prescribed a 4% Hydroquinone to lighten, and although Ambi contains only 2% the added Alpha hydroxy acid enhances the results. Thee products are expensive (hence the 4 stars) but worth it. Using these products have made my skin brighter, and also does not cause any breakouts.

Acne Cleanser

It cleans really well and doesnt dry out your skin too much. I have used other acid based products and seen issues with dryness but this has just the right mix of ingredients. I have been using this for a few weeks now and have been very satisfied.

This stuff works as described. However, as with any product that contains Salicylic Acid, keep an eye on how much it dries out your skin. Using a moisturizer daily while using this product will keep your skin in balance.

The 8 oz bottle will last for a while. It only takes a small amount on your wash cloth to properly clean your face. I would suggest using about a pea size up to two pea size amounts of cleanser on the wash cloth. The directions suggest twice a day. I use it in the shower in the morning and before bed at night.

A little goes a long way, i learned that the first time when i squeezed out too much.

It is unscented but has a bit of a chemical smell. I use it along with the Olay pro-x cleanser to really got all the crap out.

I like cleansers that are gentle and don't have a bunch of weird chemicals in them, especially salicylic acid (it always makes me break out). This is a simple bar cleanser that does the job, keeps my face clear and healthy. Unfortunately though, it is a little too drying for long term use.

It took me years to figure out what was going on with my skin and this product really helped a lot in conjunction with a significant change in my diet to include Vitamin D3 and washing my hands thoroughly before washing my face. I had some acne (not SEVERE) but it was definitely visible and I picked uo this exact bar at my local Winn Dixie and

used some in the shower when i got home right after BUYing IT(!) and I noticed within a few hours some of the acne was already starting to dissappear and then i used some the nest day it dissapeared even more, and then today (the third day Iv've owned it) i used some this morning and I am amazed it is almost completely. i bet I will be oil free soon; there is a reason this is "Dermatologsit recommended" (see front of soap box) or read desciption

Weleda Almond Soothing Cleansing Lotion, 2.5-Fluid Ounce

I really love this cleanser as a make-up remover/night-time cleanser it even removes my eye make-up without irritation! I wish it came in a bigger size, but that's the breaks. A more cost-effective cleanser is Burt's Bees Orange Essence Facial Cleanser; it's pretty good, but stings my eyes a bit. Weleda's my favorite!

I love this product. I have tried several different cleansers for sensitive skin. I love this one because it's a lotion (but you definitely couldn't use it in place of a moisturizer, tried that once just to see :) ). It does not dry your skin out in anyway, and it does moisturize and clean. Seems like a small amount but a little goes a very long way, especially if you get your face damp first. This is the only facial cleansing product I've used that doesn't irritate my skin, and sometimes I even use it to remove eye make up while I'm using it to wash my face, and it does not sting my eyes. The only other product I've used that comes close is MyChelle Honeydew cleanser for sensitive skin but even that stings my eyes and irritates my skin if I don't wash it off fast enough. I love, love, love Weleda.

I have always been very impressed with every Weleda product I've purchased and no exception with this one. It melts makeup off nicely, feels soothing, has good ingredients, and rinses off easily. The scent is very subtle.

The only reason for not giving a five star is the size of the tube. Even though you don't need a great deal to wash your face, still it won't last long with this size.

I really enjoy this soap's mildness and light, gender-neutral scent. I use empty "Method" foaming hand-soap dispensers (Method Hand Wash Foaming, Waterfall, 10 Ounce (Pack of 2)) with a mix of 7-ounces of water to 3-ounces of soap. Add one drop of blue and yellow food coloring to give the mixture a nice emerald green color The lotion quality of the soap gets raves from the family for being less drying on the hands while providing very satisfactory cleansing.
