I have extremely oily skin, and this was just an on the spot buy... I got it for $8.99 at a beauty supply store, and thought, hmph... I have tons of masques that I love.. that all claim to work wonders for oils and clogged pores... So I had no intention on actually using this product in my facial regimen... I tried it as a cleanser first... And it was alright. The product has tiny scrubbers in it, that arent too harsh... They lightly exfoliate, and arent too abrasive... It definitely left my skin with a nice, natural matte finish, but I didn't like the slight residue it left on my skin... Nonetheless, it did help to reduce shine... Second, I tried it as a masque. I am a big fan of two other masques that I own and wasnt expecting much from this... I must say... This is perfect as a daily pre washing masque... It gives a slight tingle that I love, and it really draws out the oils in my skin...

I normally apply this to my face, day and night, leave it on for about 10 minutes (even though it only says 3), and then I was it off... It never cleanses my face completely but I don't mind. Then I was my face with a loofa scrubbing glove, with either another Neutrogena cleanser or a biore cleanser... And man, that works wonders for me... Not only is my skin left matte, but it's clear, and it feels fresh... I feel like my skin in cleansed well, but not stripped like it did with other cleansers... This is good especially for the summer coming... I can't have my skin feeling completely bare, because that's when it produces more oils... All in all... I wouldnt recommend this product as a cleanser.. It sucks... lol.. But as a daily masque.. IT IS AMAZING... My skin has gotten ridiculously clear... (I am not acne prone, but ive seen a difference)... Also, my skin tone has been evening out beautifully... It looks brighter, and I love it... I have very oily skin and for last twelve years I have tried so many different brands but my face gets shiny right within half an hour. This one is the best cleanser so far. I was surprised to see the results. However, one trick is that after using this scrub I have to wash again with other cleanser to wash away the oil this scrub has extracted from pores. I highly recommend this and I am waiting for Neutrogena to come up with some sort of shine control moisturizer based on same rice protein technology.

My skin has always tended toward being oily. I would wash my face and minutes later would have a sheen appear so I was excited when I saw the commercial for this product. I've tried it for 2 weeks now and notice a considerable difference between days when I have washed my face with this and days where I have not. After washing my face I'm able to go about my day (up to 10 hours) with a shine-free face. It has a slight smell to it but nothing floral or harsh it simply smells clean. Update on the longevity of the product:

After 2 months, the sponge looks more or less new

After 4 months, tissues around small holes start to break through which connect the small holes into big holes, but nothing has fallen off yet. The sponge has also lost some elasticity. It doesn't bounce back as nicely as new when squeezed.

After 6 months, it starts to disintegrate and needs replacement.

I have had this sponge about a year now, and it is still going strong.

I first used the cleanser on my face for 5 days and then did the peel on the weekend. Then I took a week off and repeated the process. I leave the peel on my face for ten minutes. The peel does have a strong tingling sensation. Now I use the cleanser a few times a week and the peel on the weekends if I don't plan on being out in the sun. The cleanser makes my face feel very clean and smooth. My skin is brighter and the dark spots are fading. I am 50 with fair-skin, green eyes and do not burn easily. I have very oily, sensitive skin and cannot even wear most makeup. I do wear a tinted sunblock. This combo has really been good for my skin to help control oil, breakouts and fade dark spots.

I came across this product by using the sorting options on Amazon to look for a facial cleanser with all natural ingredients. I have been using a product called "the regimen" by acne.org which comes with a facial cleanser, a treatment bottle, and a moisturizer. I didnt like the facial cleanser that came with the regimen so I figured that I would replace it with an all natural facial cleanser like this one. The problem was that the regimen is applied twice a day (in the morning and before going to bed), this product can only be used once every 2-3 days. So I figured that I would use this facial cleanser every 2-3 days along with my regular treatment bottle and moisturizer from the regimen. I wouldnt recommend doing this to other people thinking of doing this as it left my skin really dry for about a week and left red blemishes on parts of my face when using this together with other acne fighting products. The red blemishes will probably go away after 2 weeks of not using any products but my face still felt dry for about a week after using it together with other acne products.

Using this product alone though worked very well, I noticed results after the first day. I have sensitive oily skin that is really hard to treat with acne products because the products either make my face dry up, overproduce oil, or the chemicals are too harsh on the sensitive skin and create blemishes. This product felt like a thousand needles on my face every time I used it until it dried off but its really effective when used alone, some of the pimples that I had under my skin faded almost completely away after 3 uses and some of the tougher pimples shrank after the 3rd use. The only side effect that it has had when using it alone is that it makes my face super dry after cleaning it off but its worth the hassle for the great results that im getting so far. Dont go overboard on using the product though, you have to give your face time to heal so its best to use the product once every 3 days or so (the bottle suggest once every 2-3 days).

...Should have been an indicator that this was not going to end pretty. I received both the cleanser and peel (which I think I might have to return after my experience with the scrub) promptly and was very excited to try the cleanser after reading so many fantastic reviews. However when I went to first use it, I was immediately thrown off by the striking, aqua blue color and bathroom cleaner scent. I went back to look through the reviews, but found no mention, from anyone, in regards to either of these things. Therefore, I decided I was probably just being paranoid and to ignore the red flags that went up in my head. I gave it a go, and boy, do I regret it. I have a horrible, bumpy, rash all over my chin and jaw line. My fine, mild, chin acne is now a painful, dry, red mess, and larger, tender bumps have started to form underneath the patches of dried skin. I am pretty sure it is a response of my integumentary and endorcrine systems to secrete more oil -which isn't what I was hoping forsince the skin is so dead and sapped moisture.

Although I do have fairer, more sensitive skin, I have never had an adverse reaction to tea tree oil, green tea extract, or salicylic acid -even used in conjunction. My only guess is that the reaction was due to either the dye, the scent, or both. Unless I received a tampered product. I should have listened to my gut in the beginning when I was not comfortable with look and the smell of the product. I have contacted the company just to share my concerns, and I am certain I will hear back from them soon. I will further update my review from there.

My final words to you are this: since so many others seem to have great experiences, don't let my review completely deter you. However, if you do have skin that may react to certain dyes or scents and you end up with an electric blue, strongly scented product, please, err on the side of caution. It's better to save your skin and your sanity the trouble.

Philosophy Shampoo/Shower Gel/Bubble Bath

Let me start by saying that the product works as well as Philosophy's other products. However, I have nearly all of the Philosophy 3-in-1's and I keep hoping that they will get a "vanilla" one right. This "flavor" is even worse than their "Vanilla Ice Cream" in the sense that it barely has a fragrance at all. Whereas "Vanilla Ice Cream" smells (strongly) like the plastic used in shower curtains, this one smells pretty much like the base used in all of Philosophy's 3-in-1's. I certainly do not detect a bit of the "Vanilla Cupcake" fragrance they claim the product should have. What I do detect as a slight fragrance vanishes immediately after the product leaves the bottle. I must say that I am not impressed with Philosophy's new 3-in-1's at this point. The "Vanilla Cupcake" stinks and the "Mimosa" smells like Pina Colada to me. If you want a good Philosophy 3-in-1, get the "Cinnamon Buns", "Pumpkin Pie", "Eggnog", "Spiced Apple Cider", or "Double Rich Hot Cocoa" variations. And always remember that if you use these products as a shampoo, you will need to use a good conditioner afterwards.

I pulled the lid of the Philosphy Vanilla Birthday Cake bottle and inhaled the wonderful smell of vanilla birthday cake. It smells 100% like its glorious namesake. While some people complain about feeling strange bathing in birthday cake or a strawberry milkshake, I think of it as being just another type of aromatherapy. Cake makes me happy, birthdays make me happy, this birthday cake smelling body wash and shampoo really makes me happy!

Plus as a bodywash and shampoo it functions very well. My skin feels smooth, and my hair feels light, silky and not weighed down. My hair still smells a little like birthday cake, which isn't as good the second day, but it's not overpowering. The Burt's Bees Sensitive facial cleanser is an excellent product that delivers.

ABOUT: According to the packaging, this product is in the "Sensitive" skincare line and offers a "natural skin solution" that "moisturizes without causing redness or irritation". It is also "soap-free, fragrance-free, and hypo-allergenic". The bottle boasts the ability to "soften, moisturize, and soothe".

REVIEW: I decided to review this product because I am disappointed in the current reviews. Too many times have people mentioned that they would rate this higher if it offered anti-acne medication and/or some type of aging-deterrent. People! Why not review the product for how it performs with the actual claims on the bottle? Specifically soften, moisturize, and soothe.

I have been using this product for three weeks now. I have acne-prone skin that is very sensitive because of several topical medications that I am on which address this acne-prone skin. For me, the "holy grail" of facial cleansers is a product that is gentle enough to not irritate my skin, but still effective as a cleansing agent. Does not cause break-outs. Oh, yeah and please add a moisturizing component and an aesthetic experience. With these requirements, let's just say I've been around the block a few times with cleansers from department stores (Clinique) to drug stores (everything!).

This cleanser is the best that I have used! I love the creamy consistency, which gently removes makeup, dirt, grime, and grease while still leaving my skin feeling moisturized. It does not form a gross suds-ball because it isn't full of unnecessary and irritating surfactants/detergents. It doesn't cause breakouts, and while unscented, it has a very faint "toasted rice" scent to it, which may be the Rice extract. I noticed that a few reviewers commented on the "film" that it left on their face honey, those are your natural oils! I agree that I also felt a little "filmy" after I first used it, but by the next wash that sensation went away replaced by a thrill of not having to rush for my moisturizer within 30 seconds to replace all the oils I just stripped away. It's quite nice!

In summary, this facial cleanser delivers. If you are looking for an anti-aging or anti-acne cleanser, this is NOT it. If you are looking for a cleanser that will clean and moisturize your sensitive skin, I don't know that you will find a better product than this one. By the way, it's 99.0% natural that's pretty great, too!

I bought this product, hoping it would help my hair from being frizzy. After a week, I see no difference between this and my other shampoo and conditioners.

I will admit it gets my hair clean, but then again so do my other products.

I love this product. I'll never go back to store bought brands. I noticed a difference the first time I used it. But, now six months later, I love it even more. My hair was frizzy,dried out and difficult to manage. Now my hair is shiny and does what I want in record time. I get compliments every day on my 'pretty hair'.

Alterna Caviar Clinical Daily Root & Scalp Stimulator-4 oz.

I have been using this product for a little over a month, once or twice a day. My hair definitely looks fuller, and I see a lot of baby hairs growing in. My husband says he can see a difference, too. I haven't noticed a difference in length yet, but then again it's only been a little over a month.

I've used this for a month so I don't know if there's any difference in my hair, especially for the price you pay. IMO, a bit overpriced.

I had major surgery last May. My hair thinned terribly, I lost about 30 lbs & I was freakin out! Looked into a lot of different hair products to use but after much research I decided on this product. I wasn't 100% sure that it was doing much of anything (although my hair felt awesome & I thought it looked healthier etc) but it wasn't until the girl that cuts my hair saw me & she was stunned! She saw all the new hair growth & could immediately tell that my hair was very much improved! I hadn't even told her that I thought my hair was thinning...she told me! Anyway, long story short, this is great stuff so get it, use it & you'll love it!!

Thymes Body Lotion, Eucalyptus, 9.25-Ounce Bottle

I tried a 'tester' of this product at gift shop and liked it so much I decided to order if. Apparently very popular and hard to keep in stock as the gift shop was sold out! It's a fabulous fragrance although the smell did not particularly remind me of Eucalyptus or anything else not sure what, but it's divine. I did not immediately love the fragrance but did notice that the scent tends to change and deepen after several minutes of wear. Long lasting, I could still smell it on my hands after washing my hands. The lotion has a thicker viscosity, more like cream than lotion not at all watery, it's nice and creamy and thick. I would love to have the entire line. I think Thymes used to make a shampoo and conditioner but have not been able to find it. If you like spa scents this is the one! This one will definitely be a staple in our home.

I would love to know if anyone has tried the body spray fragrance and if it smells like the lotion and lasts as long.

The bottle of lotion came in a nice box that was completely crushed due to poor packing. As hard as I tried, I never detected a eucalyptus smell. It smelled of "Old Lady"!

While I love many of The Thymes fragrances (including my recent fav, Frasier Fir), the scent I have loved for years and used religiously is Eucalyptus. The Thymes lotion is not too heavy or thick (and not greasy), but is also not too water-y or thin. I think of it as the perfect weight "body" lotion, something good for use on your hands just after a wash, or on your body after a shower. My favorite product is the Eucalyptus shower gel, as it smells heavenly and opens my sinuses! Please note, The Thymes Eucalyptus body lotion is NOT as strongly eucalytus scented as Molton Brown's Warming Eucalyptus shower gel. I prefer The Thymes Eucalyptus products. Also, I highly recommend the Sue Patrick store, as they have provided me with excellent customer service for both my orders to-date. Recommended.

Ren No. 1 Purity Cleansing Balm for All Skin Types-5.07 oz

I originally tried this product at Sephora in a circle container and fell in love with it but it was too expensive for my college bank account so i turned to Amazon. I was in luck when I found this vendor for $10.

Cons:

1) first few pumps is only oil (this is expected) but the texture itself has MORE oil than Sephora's.

Pros:

1) GREAT for dry skin (i used bare escentuals and their products stripped every ounce of moisture from my face)

2) Great value/very generous size bottle

3) Leaves skin smoothe and blemish free

4) Skin is RADIANT after first and every use

5) Great for elevation change or severe winters (keeps skin moisturized)

6) Pleasant natural smell

7) Natural ingredients: no fillers and the usual cosmetic junk

This is a balm-type cleanser, so expect an oily feel. But used with warm water and a washcloth, it will melt your makeup off and leave skin feeling very soft. Apply with dry hands to a dry face, and then add some warm water to turn it into a cleansing milk. I then remove with a washcloth, but I suppose you could rinse it off with warm water. It seems very calming; my normally red/irritated skin has been much less so since using it.

This stuff is awesome! They have it in a different container now, but I like this container well enough at the moment. I've found the cleansing balm to be really great at clearing my hormonal acne while also not drying me out. It takes about five to ten minutes to rub in, lather, and wipe off, so if you're in a huge rush every day, I wouldn't recommend it. I use it before I shower at night though and haven't had any issues with it.

This is my new favorite cleanser, because I don't need to also do an eye makeup remover. I tried it because it was highly recommended by Caroline Hirons ( beauty mOuth blog, UK) who really researches skin product ingredients and tries them all on her self. She has worked in the industry for ever as did her mother and grandmother. This balm cleanser is very nice, a little goes a lot, as well...so as Caroline suggests you apply this to dry face and neck, massage it all in for about 2 minutes and then put a warm to hot facecloth on your face for a minute or so, and rinse cloth ang gently wipe off the cleanser from face and neck. Oh and before the cloth spread the balm over eyelashes to loosen eye makeup ... Smells natural and not at all perfumy
