Bioderma Abcderm H2o Cleanser

When the regular sensibio was unavailable, I decided to buy this thinking that it would be similar. Nope. It cleans face makeup off alright, but eye makeup or even cream blush wouldn't budge with this. Now I could forgive that because this is different from sensibio and therefore the products would perform differently at the same task. But the smell of this completely ruins this! It smells like diaper rash cream mixed with mildew. I can't imagine that smell being desirable on a baby. I expected something clean and fresh (maybe a little powdery) but this is not a good baby smell. I might have gotten a bad bottle, but I'm not going to repurchase to find out.

Murad Soothing Gel Cleanser Facial Scrubs

I use a number of Murad products from the Redness Therapy line daily. I have red, sensitive, 40+ and (usually) oily skin. I like this cleanser for many reasons: removes all make-up, sunblock, oil, "residue", gentle fresh scent, lathers nicely, rinses well. It is definitely not a moisturizing cleanser however, my skin always feels still oily and maybe dirty after using moisturizing cleansers. For extra, but still gentle, cleaning I use a cotton pad to rub oily areas. I can see how some might find it drying as *right after* cleansing/drying I need to use my other products or else my face may feel a little taught.

This cleanser was pleasing and gentle, but I don't think it did anything to help the redness on my face.

This cleanser it not as good as the Murad Clarifying Cleanser was BEFORE they removed the Triclosan, but it is decent. It still has the Triclosan, which is the only ingredient that consistently keeps my rosacea breakouts at bay, but I think it has less in it. So while it helps, it doesn't do quite a well as the Clarifying Cleanser used to (Boo, Murad...miss that Triclosan!) This is one of the few cleansers left on the market with Triclosan, and I really hope Murad keeps it around. Anyway, this cleanser is very mild, removes makeup well, and doesn't dry my skin out or irritate/inflame it. I do still occasionally get the rosacea breakout bumps using just this cleaner, but FAR less than with any other non-Triclosan cleanser. I am now using it in combination with Murad's Recovery Treatment gel, also with Triclosan, and that seems to be getting the job done, albeit at a much higher cost. The two products together, after only a week, are giving me very smooth, clear skin. If you have very sensitive skin, try this cleanser, it might be what you are looking for. No product besides a laser treatment will remove redness from telangiectasia, but it is good to find a product that doesn't exacerbate it. Oh, and rosacea sufferers, change your pillowcase at least twice a week...I swear that helps too! Not sure how this would work on regular acne, but I doubt it would irritate it further, and it would definitely be something you should try if your skin is dried out and irritated from other acne treatments.

I heard about the Wave through word of mouth. From a friend of a friend. Everyone said it was really good and worked well. I bought it and tried it the day it came in the mail. I was amazed in the difference of my skin after only 1 use. I thought that my skin was getting clean by using facial cleanser every day. I was wrong. Even after I washed my face with cleanser then used the Wave, I could see what my regular cleanser was missing. I would absolutely recommend the Wave. It's wonderful!

This thing, along with the original Wave, are poorly built pieces of ****. When I first started using the Wave Duo, I loved it; it made my face super smooth, soft, and healthy-looking. I also liked and utilized the 2 speeds (the lower for every day cleaning and the higher for rigorous exfoliating). Overall it seemed to clean my face better than conventional cleaning with a cleanser.

However, after about 3 weeks of use, my unit broke because the power button would no longer stay "clicked" on. The buttons that control the power and speed are push on, push off, "click" buttons. They are cheap little plastic buttons with springs under them and tiny metal latches that latch into grooves on the plastic molding of the buttons. When they are not latched, the springs pop the buttons back out. When these buttons are working, they make a "click" sound when pressed. I opened the unit up in attempt to see why my power button no longer worked. I found that dirty water had seeped in and mildew caked up under the buttons. I cleaned out the mildew with q-tips and rubbing alcohol and that seemed to fix the power button but it broke again within a week. My battery also started to drain very quickly and the motor that vibrated the device would not spin anymore.

Even though the manufacturer says you can use this thing in the shower, you can't. Dirty water will get in and short or jam up your device. You can't even get this thing wet which totally defeats the purpose of using it to wash your face. I plan to buy a Clean and Clear Blackhead eraser to replace this since the cleansing pads are interchangeable. The Blackhead eraser might not necessarily be more well built and it does not have 2 speeds but at least they don't have cheap little click buttons that could get jammed. Instead, the blackhead eraser has a twist on, twist off power switch.

So I bought this the 2nd month it came out. I was really excited because people online would talk about how its doing wonders to their skin. And the 2 vibrations really penetrate to get the dirt. Also I was very excited because it was waterproof although it needs batteries!!

So for few days, i took it in the shower with me.. But because i was scared that it really wasn't waterproof, I opened the battery sealer to see if any water went in.. Thankfully, none did. PCA Skin (pHaze 1) Facial Wash

I have been using this brand of Skin Care products for almost a year now. I was originally using the Oily/Problem face wash by PCA but have recently switched to the regular Facial Wash. I don't find much of a difference between the two so I switched to this one because it's a few dollars cheaper. My esthetician did tell me sometimes people find the oily/problem face wash to be too drying. I did not have a problem.

The product is concentrated so a bottle lasts months which is nice. All you need is a little product on your hands and some water and it becomes very frothy. A little goes a long way. I don't find there to be any smell to the product. Rinses off my make up (eye make up included) off nicely and my face doesn't feel too dry afterwards. Just feels clean.

These completely remove my makeup --including mascara -and any grime or oil, and they don't leave any residue on my skin. These are large, gentle wipes that don't dry out my skin. I am prone to clogged pores around my nose and chin and can dry out terribly with the wrong product. I can use these around my eyes and they get every bit of mascara (CG lash blast). I've used the Neutrogena wipes too and they leave a slippery feeling on my skin and don't help keep my skin clear. Ponds Cold Cream is great for make-up removal, dry skin and general moisturizing.

This cream will remove make-up including waterproof mascara, long wearing make-up and lipstick and concealer. Knock on wood I haven't found any make up yet this won't take off. Sometimes if you have on heavier make up you should use it twice to be sure you get all the residue off but that's more in the removal not the product.

This product leaves my skin feeling fresh, moisturized and soothed from the silky cream. The generic versions do not stack up against the original Ponds is the best by far.

Now I know why my grandmother swore by cold cream! If you have DRY skin this is hands down THE BEST moisturizing cleanser on the market. And to make it even better: it's AFFORDABLE.

Recently I've have had to change my skincare routine because my skin is now DRY instead of normal. This past winter I was HORRIFIED to find my complexion looking "pasty" with my usual products. I've been searching for products to both make my skin look radiant and to actually improve it. I have found my cleanser: PONDS COLD CREAM. Who would have thought?

PROCEDURE:

I use Ponds to clean my face/take off my makeup in the evening.

* I apply cold cream only to my cheeks and a little to the forehead. I lightly massage spreading it all around to clean the skin.

* Next I apply it to my CLOSED (un dampened) eyelids. I lightly spread it around the brow area & unto my lashes to remove any eye makeup.

*After that I either wipe it off with several tissues OR a damp wash cloth depending on my mood. (I rinse the washcloth a few times as I go.)

So Essential Himalayan Crystal Salt Deodorant and Body Treatment Stone

I've been searching for a safe and effective alternative to antiperspirant deodorant. Salt has a fairly good reputation for it's cleansing and healing properties so I thought what the heck, I'll give this a shot. Well, I tried this salt stone for over a week and it just didn't work for me. For one, it does sting. The first time I used it was just after shaving (it's not that I'm dumb, it's just that I really do need to shave my armpits at some point). Well, I'm not kidding you, my armpits turned pink and burned for more than a good 10 minutes. The next 2 days -without shaving -weren't much better. I then tried shaving extra carefully and applying the deodorant very gently. That helped, but only just a little. The bar itself is very scratchy and I think I must have been scratching up my underarms with it during applications. I then tried just wetting the stone and rubbing my hands over the bar and applying the salt to my armpits with just my hands. That seemed to work the best in keeping the burning down to a minimum.

But my real problem with this product is that it left my underarms sticky and smelly. Even applying it twice a day didn't help reduce the odor. I'm not an extremely smelly person and I wasn't even doing moderately sweat-inducing activities. I just can't get this product to work for me. I have found that I am better off not using any deodorant at all than to use this stone. I pretty much smell the same whether I use the stone or not, but at least I don't have to contend with sticky underarms as well. I am now searching for another alternative and am going to try the Nourish Orange Deodorant stick next. I think (hope) it will at least work better than this salt stone did. Maybe I can somehow still use this bar in the bath or shower to cleanse my skin so it doesn't completely go to waste. [UPDATE: I like my Nourish Orange Deodorant stick soooo much better, hooray!]

One final note -the picture of this product is misleading. It shows 2 bars with rounded edges. What I received was one bar of medium thickness, with no rounded edges, which probably makes it more difficult to use under the arms. I've emailed the seller (TigerDive) about this but I get the impression they are not interested in correcting the problem unfortunately. This definitely makes me leery about buying anything else from these guys again. This shouldn't be a problem though, because after being burned a couple of times from 3rd party sellers on Amazon, I am no longer buying health and beauty products on Amazon unless the product maker and seller are one and the same and I can verify that the ingredients and product description are accurate.

Although I did receive this product in a timely manor, I was not completely satisfied with the product itself. I would like you to know that I had been using a Thai Crystal before using this Solay Salt Stone. My issue is that It BURNED my skin when applied. I realize that freshly shaved skin and the salt stone are not advisable BUT even on unshaved skin it still burned. I bought two of these-one for a friend. We both threw ours out :(

Yes, this product will sting when applied directly to the skin especially if it's done immediately after a shave. It's rock salt like table salt sodium chloride, as opposed to alum, which is what most of the deodorant and post-shaving stones are made of. If you want no sting, alum is great, and effective. If you specifically want rock salt, alum just won't do. So I was glad to find this. It's true that the bar is just a clean-cut rectangle without the rounded edges shown in the photo. It's quite pretty, though not evenly pink, as shown, but white with pink streaks.

MyChelle Dermaceuticals White Cranberry Cleanser

First off I have to say that I am in love with the the entire line of MyChelle Dermaceutical facial care products! The first product I used from this line was the Cranberry Cleanser. Right off the bat I was impressed with the results it gave me. It helped to clear up my complexion problems after only two weeks of using it. After about a month and a half to two months of using it every day I started to see even more dramatic results.

I was so relieved to finally find a cleanser that could clear up my acne problem! I had been suffering from moderate to severe acne for about 7 years and had tried almost every over the counter product out there. And I visited a dermatologist regularly for years, who had me on the typical treatment plan of antibiotic creams and pills.

I've used all the MyChelle cleansers, and they all feel good--nice and clean without drying--but this one feels the most special, like it slightly softens the skin too. It's not perfumey, it lathers nicely, and it lasts a long time.

This is one of a handful of soaps I picked up at the last BBW semi-annual sale and part of a small collection of summer-y soaps BBW was featuring during the sale. Of the 3-4-ish soaps I purchased, I have enjoyed this one the most so far.

Facial Cleanser

For the last 5 years I've lived in Colorado in the blaring high altitude zero humidity sunlight. I'm only 25 yet my skin started to wrinkle and dry out even with sunscreen. All the spots on my face I had picked at in high school even though mom told me not to (gross I know...) suddenly became scars. Somehow though I still had black heads and really annoying combination skin. I decided to try this and their mud mask solely because it's fairly traded and I will always opt for that when it's available, and oh man it worked. If you use this face wash and follow it immediately with one of their moisturizers, you will notice a whole new face in about 10 days. The scars on my face are less noticeable, my skin feels younger and healthier, the tone is more even, it almost glows. I don't feel any residue or over-dryness after using it, just clean and soft.

I need to combine this with an exfoliating wash a few times a week, but other than that I love it! My face looks and feels wonderful! I still have problems with blackheads and pimples, but I've only been using the face wash a couple of weeks, and I am bad and don't wash my face at night. So who knows. But it smells lovely, and it is much better than Zia, the stuff I was using before. I would recommend it.

Love this cleanser. I was surprised that all you need is a pea size drop to cleanse your entire face. It works great at removing makeup and doesn't appear to dry out my skin. It doesn't foam up like other cleansers but remember, the foaming agents are harsh, harmful chemicals that we don't need anyway in order to cleanse our bodies. This bottle is small but has already lasted me a long time because you don't need much. I would highly recommend it.

I am the kind of person who has tried TONS of products for my oily skin and none seem to work that well. Acure Organics' facial cleansing gel wasn't exactly the hero the thing I've been looking for that completely healed my skin, however it has done MUCH better than everything I have tried so far. I used it for about 2 and 1/2 to 3 months (and it still hasn't ran out! I'm currently trying a new product, but I keep this Acure's cleansing gel on standby just in case I run out of the new stuff) and although it didn't make my pores amazingly smaller and tone my skin, etc., it really did reduce the large pimples I have and kept my skin from developing too many new pimples weekly. So overall, it didn't completely clear my skin, but it cleared my skin quite a bit. I didn't see much in the way of oil reduction (the bottle says its for normal to oily skin), however it did make my skin look better than most products did. I'm still in search for the product that goes all the way and reduces my pores, controls oil production, and gets rid of all pimples (small and large my small tiny pimples/bumps are really hard to get rid off), but Acure was a good start. It did quite good, but not excellent.
