Phytoclear works great as a spot treatment and I have even put it on ingrown hairs, yes it works. Reduces inflamation (swelling), redness on the skin surface and even caused my skin to recover quicker from a breakout with the use of Cosmedix clarity. Both are good products to use together. The Phytoclear is a little sappy and sticky almost like tree sapp, with a nice fresh strong sent. This stuff works great, apply it at morning, night, middle of the day, it will do the job and absorbs into the skin as if not even there. A little goes a long ways for spot treatment, but if you plan on applying to the entire face, I'm not sure if a bottle will last a 1-2 months, your guess is as good as mine. I will be buying more though.

I have used this product for several years and get many complements on how good my skin looks. If you have slightly oily skin, I highly recommend. Keeps occasional breakouts at bay. I wear very little makeup now. Couldn't do that before Clarity. I am 53.

I love this product and have used it about 5 years or so. It is yellow so you must rub it in. I think it has Sacylic acid in it, so it is not good for very dry skin. I wear it every day and alternate with Refine at night. I am 52 and have combination skin. I wear very little makeup because this keeps my skin looking nice.

I used this wash and shampoo for myself and for my 19 month old. Based on analysis at goodguide.com, this is one of the very few shampoo/washes that does not contain a single toxic ingredient. Even Burt's Bees and J&J washes contain toxic ingredients (I was surprised about the former). So, I was eager to try this one. It works just fine for my 19 month old no rash or irritation like the other review had posted. It comes out as a foam, which is fine for a baby with fine hair, but I found I need like 10 pumps for my adult head of (also fine) hair, so it'd be nice if they sold it in a more concentrated form for adults! Probably the most astounding part of this product to me is that it is *the first* and *the only* shampoo I have found that does not leave my scalp itching, flaking, and peeling. I have always had problems with itchy, flaky scalp, and have tried every dandruff shampoo and a dozen other shampoos, including many baby shampoos (and even castile soap!) and yet none of them helped. I wasn't even necessarily expecting this one to help, but it was obvious after the second day that my scalp was completely healed! It must be the lack of toxic ingredients / its gentle nature. I had never used this before, but had been impressed by other All-Terrain products (the sunscreen and especially the insect repellent). I was going to a forest in the Philippines where I knew I'd be bathing in a mountain stream, so 100% biodegradeable and PH neutral were a must. I didn't have very high expectations, but it worked great as both a body soap and to clean my hair. Japanese clay and charcoal facial soap

This is unlike any soap I've tried before, a subtle, pleasant difference. The scent is mild and natural and goes away pretty quickly. I like how my face feels smooth for a while after using this, without getting too dry. I have mild breakouts of acne, and I alternate using this soap and my regular face wash, just to mix up my regimen. I can't say my acne has improved, except this soap seems to slightly smooth and soothe my face. I would say it's best quality is it makes my skin feel smoother for a while.

I think it does a good job of cleaning the skin, but it probably won't get rid of my acne. Maybe I should use it everyday, but I seem to be clearest when I alternate products.

I cut the bar in half and gave half to my younger brother, and he said he likes it, enough to use it everyday, which is good, because I paid 11 bucks for the soap. I guess that is a good price for an imported charcoal soap.

I once tried a charcoal soap made in the states before, and it was slightly irritating, probably the fragrance or perhaps it was the type of charcoal. I paid around 6 bucks for that. I like this one better.

I prefer a good bar of soap over liquid cleansers to wash my face with. I am very impressed with this soap. It creates a rich lather, rinses clean, and removes makeup, even mascara. After I use it my face feels smooth and exfoliated, even though there is no grit whatsoever in the soap or lather. It doesn't leave my face feeling dry or tight. I intend to purchase it again, and I may have found my perfect cleanser.

At first I found them to be aggressively fragrant (especially the morning refresh ones). I'm usually turned off or even irritated by products with strong smell/perfume component. Didn't even think these particular wipes would work. However, after a few regular uses I have found my skin to be glowing and clearer and smoother. The evening wipes are calmer and less disturbing, as expected. I have also used Pond's pore cleansing strips in the past and liked them as well, so I havent really been disappointed in Pond's name. I would, however, prefer if Pond's cleaned up (pun intended) the content of their product, as it seems most or at least many contain chemicals/unnatural additives. Which I'm not a fan of, as I usually buy personal care items that are either organic or mostly natural. Overall though, a great product, you will be glad you tried it. I know I will continue to use these.

Background: I am a black woman with thick, coarse hair that has been a source of frustration for me all of my life. Up until now, I have always struggled with taking care of my hair and relied on expensive stylists to maintain my 'do. About 3 years ago, I finally got fed up, went natural, and put my hair up into various braided styles. I wore braids for about 2 years until early this year when I decided it was time for a change. I relaxed my hair once again and was pleasantly surprised to find that my hair was a little past my shoulders. I started going to a Dominican hair salon for blowouts at the suggestion of a friend. Let's just say that after two months, my hair ended up damaged -brittle, lots of split ends, and lots of breakage. I stopped going to the salon, but the damage was done. I spent about a month struggling to do my hair on my own, but the breakage continued, and in the end I ended up at a more traditional hair salon for help. The stylist was okay: she cut my hair and helped to get the health of my hair back on track, but my job makes it difficult to maintain weekly appointments and I knew that I still needed to find a way to take care of my hair on my own. Also, while my hair was getting healthier, I was still experiencing reduced levels of breakage and split ends. I had seen the Wen infomercial several times this year and had always been intrigued. I started to do research on the internet, reading reviews on forums, watching the various video reviews on youtube. Initially, I decided to go with Hair One, the much cheaper Wen clone, which many have stated is just as good if not better than Wen. The first wash was with Hair One Dry Scalp formula. My hair looked and felt great. I thought I had found my miracle. However, it was not to be. I was never able to duplicate the results of that first Hair One wash. I tried all of the Hair One "flavors" (dry scalp, dry hair, etc), but still had disappointing results. So, after the failed Hair One experiment, I decided to make the leap and purchase the Wen Fig.

Review: I've been using Wen Fig Cleansing Conditioner for about a month now and I am thoroughly impressed. My split ends are a thing of the past. My hair is manageable -healthy, shiny, and feels incredible. I frequently receive compliments for the shine of my hair. It is phenomenally soft ... softer than my hair has ever felt, even after a relaxer. There has been legitimate hair growth. The important thing is that my hair routine is simple, quick, easy, and no longer a pain in the rear. With my reduced dependence on stylists, I am actually saving money by using a more expensive hair product. I love my hair now, with my only regret being that I did not start using Wen a lot sooner.

(For those who are wondering, here is the routine that is working for me: My hair is currently at mid-ear length. I wash my hair every 3 days, which was a big change from my previous routines where I washed my hair once a week. My "magic pump number" is 43: 20 pumps for initial cleanse + 20 pumps for second cleanse + 3 pumps used as a leave-in conditioner. I follow the wen instructional dvd instructions for black hair for the most part, going for the max times (3 min scrub/5 min conditioning). I also make sure to thoroughly rinse my hair before the initial cleanse and to use plenty of product to ensure thorough cleansing. My only major deviations are this: during the second cleanse, I let the Wen sit on my hair for 45 minutes for deep conditioning. Also, I add about half a teaspoon of coconut oil and half a teaspoon of extra virgin olive oil to the leave-in conditioner prior to application to my hair. After this, the only product I add to my hair is a light heat protectant spray. It has been about 4 weeks since my last relaxer, and I plan on waiting as long as possible before my next one.)

First let me say I LOVE WEN! I'm over 30 with naturaly curly hair. This stuff works! It keeps my hair clean and many smell wonderful. It's a bit expensive, but I find that I was going through more money on conditioner, because I needed a lot to get through my hair. This works out to be cheaper (for me.)

Now, why the 2 stars? Well, I have used the Sweet Almond Mint and really like that a lot, I have used the Lavendar and LOVE that, I have used the Fig, and Hate it! I know it's a strong word, but it's true!

I didn't like the smell. It reminds me of gross cough syrup. It does smell better after it's been rinsed out of your hair and such, but still not pleasing to me. Also, and I don't know why, I was loosing tons of hair. Not in clumps where it was super noticable or anything, but I have really thick hair, I'm afraid if my mom or someone with really thin hair used it, you would see bald spots. I had "tumbleweeds" of hair after every shower. It was awful.

I would highly recommend Wen, I would stick with a different one though.

I'm 37 years old and since my hair turned curly at the age of 9 I've been looking for a way to cut down on the frizz. I can't say that this product does it alone, but it's part of a regimen that works for me. It's pricey, so once my hair was healthier, I switched to less frequent washes with it, but when I use a different shampoo, I use the Wen as a leave in conditioner and it really works.

My only problem was that the top was not secure in shipping and the product spilled. I contacted the company and although it took several weeks they more than compensated for the spill.

I used to have beautiful thick hair, that I would blow dry everyday. As I got older, I do not have time to blow dry everyday, and when I do is usually dry and frizzy. My hair is soft, manageable, and I can let it dry on its own without the frizz. I also order the oil, which works great. I use it as a styling product, I use it twice a week after washing my hair and it makes my hair shine and it gives nice waves to my thick hair. I also ordered the styling cream, and the balm which works well, however for my next order I will problably just order the cleansing conditioner, and the oil. I'm so happy with my hair, I used to get so depressed to the point that I would wear my hair up everyday so no one would notice the dry, frizzy hair. Since I started using Wen, I have worn my hair down everyday. Is expensive, but I will spend the money if it means I can have beautiful hair again.

I bought this face wash after using Dr. Hauschka for a year. I was looking for an alternative because Hauschka can get very very pricey. I'm so happy with Weleda that I won't go back!

Alcohol, alcohol, alcohol!!! The bane of my existence in what would otherwise be an excellent product. I have yet to find a great German cosmetics company that does NOT have alcohol in their top 5 or top 10 list of ingredients for facial products and doesn't irritate my skin. I might be preaching to the choir, but...alcohol is extremely drying to the skin, it completely counteracts any other moisturizers a product contains.

I bought this because I usually buy cheap soaps, and I wanted to get something nicer this time. For the price, you're not getting very much soap so I thought the quality should be impressive. Instead, I am left feeling so-so about it.

The smell is pretty lemon-y, and I don't really like it. Also, it doesn't lather very nicely (I suppose this is the no-soap aspect of it) and I don't really "feel" clean after using it.

Anyway, it isn't the worst soap ever, but I definitely won't buy it again.

Earth Therapeutics Hydro Body Sponge, with Hand Strap, Blue (Pack of 12)

This is a great sponge. Soft, but durable. I think it's better than Bath & Body Works sponges. It's definitely cheaper! And, since it comes in a 12-pack, it sure beats having to buy a new one all the time. The only minor complaint is the hand strap. A small rope would've been better. The strap is made of the same material as the sponge, but stretches. There aren't as many places for it to hang when not in use.

The sponge is high quality. It is tightly packed and doesn't come undone after a couple of weeks like most body sponges. It is about the size of a grapefruit. But I will take quality over size any day.

As someone who suffers with oily, acne-prone skin, I've learned that foaming cleansers are truly the best for cleansing my skin type. This cleanser performs very well at removing my makeup and cleansing my skin without leaving it feeling stripped (mostly, see below) or breaking me out. I purchased my cleanser from Target along with a number of other Boots No 7 products, mostly from the Beautiful Skin Normal/Oily range, and am absolutely in love with both the calming light green color of the bottles and the clean refreshing scent of the products in the range, a welcome change after using Aveeno's Clear Complexion Foaming Cleanser (which coincidentally works just as well as this cleanser and is a few dollars cheaper, but whose scent I unfortunately found to be cloying the more I used it).

That said, I must admit that like other foaming cleansers, using it consistently, twice a day, can result in a bit of tightness and/or dryness. Until recently my solution to this dilemma was to occasionally skip washing my face. Gross! I know! But it was the only solution I could think of and my skin seemed happier when I OCCASIONALLY left it unwashed. Fortunately, while browsing the Boots section at Target the other day, I came across a new product in the Beautiful Skin Normal/Oily skin range called Cleansing Water which I initially mistook for a toner and purchased without realizing that it's actually a micellar water. At first I was disappointed I had purchased it because I already have the foaming cleanser, but after reading how great micellar waters are in general and that Boots' Cleansing Water ranks pretty well among them for both performance and price, I decided to try it out, and boy am I glad I did! Alternating between both cleansers has allowed me to find the perfect balance for my skin. Although it may seem like too much work (and money!) to have to purchase two separate cleansers, if you're someone like me who can't find a cleanser than can both cleanse well enough but not dry my skin out eventually, then alternating between a foaming face wash and a micellar water might just be the solution, whether it's Boots or Aveeno or any other brand.

I have oily acne prone skin that is a little sensitive. This cleanser takes off what little makeup I do wear and cleans my skin of oil and grime without stripping it. My skin is so soft! No redness, no greasy skin, and no breakouts either. Light smell and it foams up great. I love it!

Believe it or not there is a difference between different Minoxidil applications like this and generic and rogaine. Usually I liked the Rogaine foam, but now this one is the best, you can actually feel it working. I use this once a day and Rogaine once a day (you are suppose to apply Minoxidil twice a day) to curb the cost since both are pricey (this one is way more though). I started using this in the morning as a substitute for gel (90% at least) And just apply Gel to the sides of my hair since this acts like it. You will feel a cool tingly feeling. Then at night I just apply the generic or actually Rogaine foam and have gotten great results! Will keep using!!

I can tell from the dizzyness that the minoxidil is working, but this cream makes my hair clumpy and sticky. I'm going back to a spray.

I have been using this product for a very brief time period, but I will tell you why I already find it superior to other minoxidil-based products. The formulation has no unpleasant odor/ "fragrance", and is easy to apply without running all over areas that you don't want to cover. The best feature is the base ingredient mixture. The product works well to thicken the existing hair and acts like a styling wax. The roots are lifted giving the impression of fuller, thicker hair. I am thinning mildly, so this is a fantastic feature. I also experienced scalp irritation and itching with Rogaine foam and liquid, which I have not experienced any such side effects with this product. It remains to be seen how well the hair fallout is controlled and if there is any regrowth, but I don't dislike applying and using the product. Not oily or sticky, and no one will know you are using it. Plus, easy travel size to go in your TSA approved carry-on luggage!

Incredible stuff!!!! Initially I thought it was going to be a rip off but once I started to use it, within 4 weeks (yes, every day--a real pain but what can you do), my hair got thicker and I started to see new growth. I thought I was "wishing" but no, my girlfriend thought I had some special hair weave or product to increase the volume of hair. This is a great product for those who are serious since it takes some time to see results and it can be a bit messy to apply if you are in a hurry.

I've been using Nioxin Shampoo and Scalp therapy (conditioner) for fine hair for 5 years. It did make my hair feel fuller and stopped hair from appearing in my brush and on my pillowcase. I recently ordered a new supply from Amazon and found the smell and texture of both products to be different. Checking on the internet, Procter and Gamble recently bought out Nioxin and changed the formula! I checked my old bottle with the new and the ingredients are very different. The conditioner is very gloppy and greasy feeling and difficult to rinse out. The shampoo is more runny and doesn't have the minty smell. My hair doesn't have the body it had with the old formula. My hairdresser suggested I switch to Bosley.

About the same time, Dr. Oz was on Oprah telling everyone to get shower filters in their showerheads to eliminate the toxins, including chlorine. This made sense. So I dutifully went to Home Depot and bought a showerhead with a filter that changes every six months and the Nioxin Therapy, which my hair-cutter recommended. I read the ingredients and its Greek to me, but the hair therapy is amazing. Leave it on for three minutes and your scalp feels tingly. Rinse it out and the tingly sensation stays for another five minutes or so. After one year, I noticed my hair did not seem to be thinning anymore and it was soft and I could comb it anyway I wanted. It's just healthier.

So why not five stars? Well, Nioxin is expensive, so although I highly recommend it, I also recommend that you buy the 1,000ml bottles. They are a better deal. I've also tried the Nioxin Shampoo and the Nioxin Scalp Treatment. These are nice, but also expensive. I'll settle just for a gentle cheap shampoo and the Nioxin Therapy.

Have used Nioxin for years because of thinning hair, which it has slowed dramatically (I believe it would have stopped the loss completely if I'd used the other parts of the system, i.e., "Scalp Treatment" and "Follicle Booster" .. I've used only the shampoo, called "Cleanser," and the conditioner, called "Scalp Therapy").

Scalp Therapy nourishes the hair follicle. It is pleasantly cooling on the scalp. After rinsing, it also leaves my hair feeling and looking its best. Nioxin is expensive, but very worth it if you can make room for it in your budget.

I don't know if this was Amazon or a change by Nioxin, but this is not the same product. I've used Nioxin System 2 for years and my hair has always been full and healthy while using it. However, the last bottle I received from Amazon put my hair right back to how it was before I started Nioxin thin and frail. I will not be buying this product through Amazon any longer and I strongly suggest anyone considering this product to look elsewhere. Hopefully this was not a change by Nioxin.

UPDATE: It was a generic product sent to me. Nioxin is great, I just recommend getting it from a reputable source so you know you're getting the real thing. I highly recommend System 2.

ABOUT: According to the packaging, this product is in the "Sensitive" skincare line and offers a "natural skin solution" that "moisturizes without causing redness or irritation". It is also "soap-free, fragrance-free, and hypo-allergenic". The bottle boasts the ability to "soften, moisturize, and soothe".

REVIEW: I decided to review this product because I am disappointed in the current reviews. Too many times have people mentioned that they would rate this higher if it offered anti-acne medication and/or some type of aging-deterrent. People! Why not review the product for how it performs with the actual claims on the bottle? Specifically soften, moisturize, and soothe.

I have been using this product for three weeks now. I have acne-prone skin that is very sensitive because of several topical medications that I am on which address this acne-prone skin. For me, the "holy grail" of facial cleansers is a product that is gentle enough to not irritate my skin, but still effective as a cleansing agent. Does not cause break-outs. Oh, yeah and please add a moisturizing component and an aesthetic experience. With these requirements, let's just say I've been around the block a few times with cleansers from department stores (Clinique) to drug stores (everything!).

This cleanser is the best that I have used! I love the creamy consistency, which gently removes makeup, dirt, grime, and grease while still leaving my skin feeling moisturized. It does not form a gross suds-ball because it isn't full of unnecessary and irritating surfactants/detergents. It doesn't cause breakouts, and while unscented, it has a very faint "toasted rice" scent to it, which may be the Rice extract. I noticed that a few reviewers commented on the "film" that it left on their face honey, those are your natural oils! I agree that I also felt a little "filmy" after I first used it, but by the next wash that sensation went away replaced by a thrill of not having to rush for my moisturizer within 30 seconds to replace all the oils I just stripped away. It's quite nice!

In summary, this facial cleanser delivers. If you are looking for an anti-aging or anti-acne cleanser, this is NOT it. If you are looking for a cleanser that will clean and moisturize your sensitive skin, I don't know that you will find a better product than this one. By the way, it's 99.0% natural that's pretty great, too!

this stuff is amazing. it can be rather sticky if it's not used properly. it says on the back to apply to face and use a washcloth to get it off. the washcloth acts as an exfoliator and the orange face wash comes right off, leaving your skin soft and sweet.
