Firstly, let me tell you that I love this product. It makes my straight hair shiny and reduces frizzies, but the whole you-can-go-longer-without-getting-greasy-headed thing never happened for me. I still have to shower daily, which is why I became obsessed with the amount of product used and the cost per shower...

So using the minimum guidelines for each dose, you'll use about 1oz per shower. At the prices offered here, that's about $2/shower. I think I make decent money, but I can't live with myself for spending that on my hair each day. It's just crazy. I would stand there lathering thinking "I want my two dollars!!".

In protest, I went back to the my old shampoo and immediately regretted it. Even my husband noticed that my hair didn't look as good, and that says something since he's not really the type to notice, well, anything.

So... enter Sally's Beauty Supply, my rescuer. They just came out with a self-branded version of this product for sale in their stores and on their website which is fantastic. It's about half the price, and I don't know if it's purely psychological, but I love it. My hair looks even better than with the Wen product. It's awesome. I'm serious.

Best yet, Sally's sells little single-use packets if you're not ready to commit. You could grab a couple of those and give it a go before you totally opt out of the real thing. (Of course, for $10 you could just buy the whole bottle... Compared to the Wen spend, that's small potatoes!)

I gave this product a glowing review right after purchase. I wasn't able to finish the bottle, though. It did not get rid of the oil in my hair and it looked stringy and limp after about a week of use. I believe I was using the product correctly. You take a chance on this stuff. Buyer beware.

I have long, virgin, baby fine hair. It gets dry in the winter and has no body. I tried Wen and liked the way my hair looked for the first hour. After that it just started looking greasy and limp. I even asked my two best friends how my hair looked & they said it looked like I hadn't washed it that day. However, I loved how the ends of my hair looked. I had not realized how dry they were until I used Wen. So now I use my regular shampoo & only use a small amount of Wen on the ends of my hair as conditioner.

I have heard so much about WEN that I had to buy it. I followed the directions perfectly '30-40 pumps, massage in for a minute, let stand 3-5 minutes, rinse thoroughly' and when I got out my hair had waxy build up. I was ticked I mean wasn't the whole point of this not to have waxy build up? To have volume? I tried twice more just to see if I had messed up, but no each time my hair came out with grease and wax. Finally I googled 'WEN instructions' and it came up with a video on YouTube.com Here's the proper way that should be on the bottle.

1. rinse hair thoroughly, like for a few minutes.

2. 5-10 pumps (more if you need) and put on the top part of your hair, massage in

3. 5-10 pumps under your hair massage in

4. 5-10 pumps on the left side

5. 5-10 pumps on the right side

6. any extra pumps on the bottom or top, just fill in

7. Slightly tilt your head in the water until it gets a little wet

8. massage in your scalp for a minute, this should be easier because of the water you added

9. comb through

10. clip it up and let stay for a solid 3-5 minutes

11. rise thoroughly making sure you don't feel anything in your hair

optional

12. before you get out use a pump or so to run though the ends of your hair like leave in conditioner

Do you see how detailed that is? That's what should be on the back of the bottle because I can tell you now I only wash my hair with WEN and it is not greasy, no waxy build up and my hair looks really healthy. I have fine blonde hair that I dye so it is slightly damaged, but I have a ton of it so it can be a pain to get the shampoo out from under the layers, I really really like the Cucumber Aloe and just bought a bigger bottle, my hair is mid back and I find I really only need 5-7 pumps per section so don't use the 40 plus pumps, saves the product and me money.

Wen absolutely RUINED my hair. I have fine, formerly curly hair. When I first started using Wen, my hair definitely felt smoother, but it was flat unless I blew it dry every day. Gradually, Wen relaxed out all my natural curls. Soon after, I noticed short, broken off hairs near the front of my scalp, where I had had to scrub so hard to try and get my hair clean with the stuff. I stopped using Wen, only to realize that my curls were permanently relaxed out. Now the broken pieces are growing back curly while the end are still flat and gross. I'd cut it all off, but I'm getting married in two months and need the length. I can't BELIEVE I have to get married like this. Every day is a horrible hair day now. It's so embarrassing. My daughter has been allergic to detergents and soaps since she was little. Dove sensitive skin has usually worked on her but she goes through it too quick. In the past have used Adidas sensitive skin that worked but they don't make it anymore.

This seems to be s decent product if you want to be able to spell what's in your shampoo or have sensitive skin. We have used it for a month now with no problems. You could buy more expensive shampoos and get a slightly better product but for the price alone we're planning to continue using this. It is very rich and I add water to it for shampoo and hand wash.

there really isn't anything to compare this to. It is a very pleasant light smelling gel that cleans the body well and rinses off without residue.

If you try this and like it you will not find anything that even comes close to it.

Ojon Rub-Out Dry Cleanser

I really do not have time to wash my hair every day and washing each day strips the color on my shoulder length reddish brown hair. This "dry" shampoo is perfect. I have been able to go 2-3 days without washing if I want to. It dries up the oil on my bangs and scalp, the smell is nice (even though it can be a bit overpowering at first), and it gives good volume. Brushing it into hair will blend in any white powder that shows up if you hold the can too close to your head while spraying. Tips: Use in a ventilated area and when you do wash, make sure you let your shampoo sit in your hair for a minute or so, if you do not wash well, you will have an oily residue from the product. The price could a be a bit lower, but I will still buy this again.

I like this dry shampoo. It smells like baby powder, which is a pleasant scent, unlike another dry shampoo I recently tested. I have two small complaints about the Ojon dry shampoo: 1) If you spray too much, it will leave your hair looking slightly white. I have dark hair, so it stood out. It also made my hair a bit stiff (not as soft as my natural hair feels), but maybe I put too much on. 2) The nozzle gets clogged after each use. However, I found that if you stick an earring post or a straight pin in it, it unclogs nicely! At any rate, I will use it until I've finished the bottle, but perhaps I'll try another brand next time. Overall, pretty good though.

I bought this because I'm deployed in Afghanistan and I don't always get to wash my hair every day. It really does a great job of getting rid of that oily look after a couple of days without a wash. Normally, I wash my hair every other day. Using this between washes is great. And with all the stinky men around here, I'm glad the scent is strong. Only real draw back is if you don't rub it in well you can get some whitish flaking. Just rub well.

The perfumey smell of the product was so overwhelming that I ended up having to take a shower because it was so strong! I had been looking for a good dry cleanser since my hair is dry, I can't wash it every day without it frizzing out. Ideally I need to wash it once a week (with a blow dry), and this product makes it possible! It instantly erases the oily look your hair can get after a few days, and gives it body and volume. Because it's an aerosol, the spray seems to have more force to it than a normal can (i.e. hairspray), which makes it go all the way to your scalp without you having to systematically part your hair and spray it directly onto your roots. When my daughter was a newborn she didn't have the regular baby rash we read about in books. The pediatrician had us using cortizone creams, Head and shoulders and gave her prescription topicals with alchol in them. I thought "there has to be another way? The soap is fine and I have no problem with it, but the marketing says a "a pack of 3", which is just not the case all. I ordered 4 packages of three thinking I would recieve 12 bars. That did not happen I recieved 4 bars even, and so I paid nearly double the price for the same soap I can order at the local drug store. Well ya live and you learn. Sometimes you get a good deal on Amazon, but this soap is not a good deal.

My dermatologist recommended this cleanser. Previously I used Cetaphil facial cleanser (which was very good and I still like). I had used Lowilla to clean my face since I was a teenager because I have dry skin. This product works better than anything I've tried. It clears up my back, doesn't dry out my skin, and smells nice. There are no oils in this product, so it isn't counter productive if you are sensitive like me.

I rarely write reviews like this but I ALWAYS read them before buying products not just pricey products but any skin care product since I tend to break out with "cheaper" formulations.

I am a 53 year old woman with deep lines along my nose, and "parentheses" between my eyebrows, along with smaller lines. I have been using this product for two and a half weeks. This is a great product, providing a great cleansing of the skin and leaves a long-lasting healthy skin feeling. Definitely worth using on a regular basis. I love it.

I didn't know what to do about my neck, it was embarrasing. It looked like it was "painful" some folks said. I constantly got ingrown hairs and pimples on my neck. I didn't know what to do. I tried medicated aftershaves, some with alcohol in them OUCH!

Finally I started doing some research and found that a good cleanser might help me out, so I decided to try this nivea, I had seen commercials for it. I used the cleanser and the balm (aka aftershave). I also made sure that I was doing my best to help the situation by switching my shaving technique. Most importantly shave with the direction your hair grows, not against it, that reduces the inflammation. Rinse with cool water not hot, this also reduces the inflammation. Use a cleanser, I recommend nivea, and a decent aftershave lotion, again I recommend nivea.

Within a week or so my neck dramatically improved, it isn't perfect, but it looks and feels much better.

This is a great product. I have very oily skin that typically shows a little bit of acne. I wanted to improve my skin at least a little so I purchased this product along with Nivea's enrgizing gel to apply morning and night. I was rather pleased with the results. My skin isn't perfect, but the improvement was very noticeble both visually and sensually. My skin looks and feels much better through regular use of this product. This face wash has a very delicate, smooth feel to it when being applied, and it's extremely refreshing. It is not a miracle worker but without a doubt a great face wash.

I bought this product after comparing it to l'Oreal for Men and one or two other competitors. I felt that the amount you get for the price was generous. I find it to be an invigorating alternative to bar soap for cleansing the face.

I've used Nivea face products for men for several years and have found them to be consistently great products and have no reservations about recommending them. The double action wash cleans my face gently and effectively even after working in the heat and humidity and makes you feel refreshed. I believe this is a new formula and new label, as I think the old one was made in Germany and this one is now made in France and has a little more "mintyness" still very good. I also use the energizing face scrub a couple times a week, that will wake you up.

I used the old formula for years after my doctor specifically recommended it. However, the new formula contains menthol which causes a painful burning sensation, especially on my lips and eyelids when I rinse it off. The new fragrance smells like Raid Ant and Roach Killer.

No responsible doctor would recommend menthol for blemished skin, yet Neutrogena still includes "Dermatologist Recommended" on the label. In fact, topical menthol products such as Bengay contain a warning not to use on damaged skin.

The image showing is not the same as the product received which has a new formula sign on the right corner. By comparing the new and the old ingredients list,the new formula removed Aloe leaf extract,Anthemis Nobilis flower extract,and Matriciaria flower extract.Even though the active ingredient is still 2% salicylic acid, the inactive ingredients has changed a lot. So the smell, texture, and the feel all changed. Honestly, the first time,it smells like insect spray but now I get used to it. The new formula has menthol which makes you feel like cold breezed after use. I neither like it nor hate it. However, I would not buy it again unless it returns to the old formula.

I used the Neutrogena oil free acne scrub throughout my teenage years, and it worked really well. It has a creamy base, so i figured that since this is from the same line, i would get the same product just without the beads. The main ingredients are indeed the same, but the smell is different! I wonder why they don't use the same smell since it's from the same line. I like the scrub scent more, unless they changed the scent of that one too. It has been almost two years since ive used the scrub, so i don't know. The scent of this wash isn't pleasing. They should make it unscented. After all, no scent is the best scent when it comes to skin care. (unless it smells delicious)

Too much menthol is another con. There's menthol in the scrub formula too, but it's not as overwhelming. I think this is what they meant by "new formula results in one day". Menthol is meant to deliver medicine quicker and more effectively, but dudeit's uncomfortable! Lighten up on the menthol. My skin isn't sensitive; it's actually quite strong, but i can imagine how so much menthol can sway many consumers from this otherwise wonderful product. With that being said, i do like the menthol, i just find the amount too overwhelming. Please change it back to the original formula, Neutrogena!

A great thing about this scrub is that it has no dyes! Yay! The scrub has dyes in it to make it orange, which is okay, i guess, but no dyes is best.

Once i rinse this off my face, my face feels silky and soft. I like that it has acne medicine in it without being too overdrying. I love cream cleansers. I will be repurchasing this. Another pro is that it is one of neutrogena's more affordable productsyay again!

I love Neutrogena, and i find that its products are the only thing that helps me control my acne. (st ives works too, but it's too abrasive for daily use). Salicylic acid, Neutrogena, and I are the perfect trio.

This is a product used daily in our home. Works great to keep skin clear. My daughter who is acne prone used for a couple days and we were so happy to see how fast and effective it was! Nice cooling feeling on the skin!

I purchased and used this BEFORE selecting it as an Amazon Vine Review item. It's a 4STAR product; loose and liquidy compared to other deep conditioners. It performs pretty well for my winter dry, frizz-prone hair. A little goes a long way or you'll be a drippy, wasteful mess. It rinses clean, smells nice and is only needed once a week. It works well according to the directions.

I have found it works even better with a little extra time and a few changes...I do not use this as an in-shower treatment NOR use a hair dryer as directed. I have OILY scalp DRY hair. My hair is shoulder length, dyed and a dry, frizzy winter disaster in need of tender, loving, care!

I section dry hair (6-8 sections), spritz a section lightly with water, massage small amount of masque from hair ends up the strands to an INCH before scalp. Pin or clip the section, move on to next one until all hair is treated. Cover with a plastic cap or bag, wrap head in towel to capture body heat to warm head/hair. This process opens the hair shaft so it can absorb the moisturizing goodness. Put your feet up, Relax with a cuppa hot tea or coffee, read a magazine or two, for 20 30 minutes. *You can even squeeze in a facial masque during this pamper time.

THEN hop into the shower, SHAMPOO scalp only and rinse hair well. Blot smooth, soft hair. YES it's really your hair in great condition! Shea butter, Avocado & Coconut oil magic is complete. Follow the remainder of your usual hair care routine.

I like this Deep Conditioner and would recommend it. I'll still switch back & forth with Neutrogena Triple Moisture Deep Recovery Hair Mask, 6 Ounce (Pack of 2). When my hair gets used to some products, they become ineffective and I have to alternate products to keep my hair happily tamed.

With hair too dry to wash often, I tried that expensive and very popular sweet almond mint cleansing conditioner. If you are looking for an alternative to that product, THIS is IT!

Although it's wonderful using as directed, when used in the same way as the TV one, the results are fabulous!

First, wet your hair.

Next massage your scalp while the water runs over it. Do that for a full minute, just as if you were using a normal shampoo, but instead using just water.

Now scoop a few tablespoons of the Motions deep conditioning mask out of the jar, and massage the product in your scalp and through your hair. Add a little water so the product can emulsify a bit. It froths a little, not like lather, just a bit of froth.

Rinse it out completely and then take a few more tablespoons and apply as you would any conditioner. If you use a heating cap, this is the time that you would put it on. Otherwise, you can use a shower cap.

Rinse out when you feel that your hair is well conditioned. The longest that I've left it on has been an hour, and my hair was so shiny, and the curl defined.

The fragrance is light and doesn't stick to your hair like some of the products that knock you out with the smell. If you are trying to grow your hair this is your miracle product!

This is a nice hair masque. It has a pleasant smell and is not too heavy or greasy. It makes your hair smell very nice and it makes hair shiny and easy to manage. One thing I noticed after several uses of this mask, is that it seems to make hair stronger and much less brittle-especially if you have dry ends.

My hair is damaged on the ends due to hot irons and this product really does help. I wasn't sure what to expect with this product as I was unfamiliar with the brand. I thought it might be just your run-of-the-mill deep conditioner but wow! was I pleasantly surprised! The consistency of this product is thick and silky and it smells wonderful. After one use in the shower my hair was NOTICEABLY softer, smoother, and more healthy looking.
