Neutrogena Complete Acne Therapy System

First off, I'm in my early 20's and have combination type skin with occasional, mild to moderate acne. I used nearly two whole ProActiv systems before switching to a Neutrogena kit and have found that this clears up my skin much better and faster. I find it very convenient that the Day Lotion includes SPF 15, whereas the ProActiv Repairing Lotion doesn't, even though ProActiv advises you to use sunscreen with their system when going outside. That would probably prompt you to buy their oil-free moisturizer with SPF 15 as well ($$ smart business move $$), thus adding another step to your skin-care regimen. I would recommend anyone with my acne/skin type who is thinking about subscribing to ProActiv to try Neutrogena first.

Anyway, the Neutrogena kit lasts around 5 months for me. I still get an occasional zit or two, but with less frequency than I did in the past. I use a Neutrogena Rapid Clear spot gel for that with success.

Word of advice: It might be best if you shake the tube of acne cleanser before you start using it. When I was finishing up what was left of the last tube I used, I discovered that all the "micro-fine beads" were gathered there, afloat at the very top somehow. I've been wondering where those were all along...

First of all, I understand that not every product will work for every individual. But, this one is far exceeding my expectations. I did some research online before I bought this. What I found was that what seemed to work the best for people was a combination of salicylic acid and benzoyl peroxide. I looked at the wide array of acne treatments I had at home and they were ALL salicylic acid, but no benzoyl peroxide. I thought it was worth a shot.

I'm 35 and acne runs in my family. My mom still has it. I was starting to develop very deep, painful acne that would heal in one place and then show up in another place. Nothing I was doing was getting rid of it. I found this Neutrogena system and I noticed some improvement the very next day. I'm a little over a week into it now and I can't believe the improvement! I'm 29 and NEVER even had so much as a tiny pimple anywhere...until I got pregnant. My daughter is now 3 and I've been struggling with acne ever since. I get large, deep, cystic acne on my chin and sometimes on my forehead, and tiny, puss filled pimples on my neck, chest and back. I have tried Proactive for months on end with far less results than were worth the time and effort of all the steps involved (and the price). I have tried a variety of precriptions for washes and ointments/foams/creams from my dermatologist including Benzaclyin, Evoclin, Tazarac Cream, Clenia, and Zyiana. Now, almost all of the pimples even the deep ones on my chin are either gone, or DRAMITICALLY reduced. I will also add that I started this system about 12 days before I expected my period knowing that the worst pimples of the month were on their way. I did experience a bit of drying, but nothing that was at all painful or really red and irritated. The best thing about this system is that it comes with a daytime moisturizer, so your skin will never be cracking and flaking the way it would with other treatements. The slight drying was actually beneficial for me because I have olive skin, and I get hyperpigmentation (dark marks) where pimples were. They normally take several weeks to fade, but the drying effect of the nightime acne lotion helped to really exfoliate those spots and the result has been a dramatic lightening of those marks.

I would definately recommend giving this system a try. Get the spot treatment as well. I started out using the wash and night time acne lotion as well as the spot treatment at night, and then the wash and moisturizer during the day. Now that most of the pimples have cleared up, I'm not using the spot treatment. There are so few steps to this system it's not time consuming or tedius to keep up with. It's affordable (the bottles are large enough to last over a month even if you're using them on your back, chest and face as I am), it's quick, easy, and most of all, effective.

Have only been using this shampoo for a few weeks, so haven't noticed fuller hair. What I did immediately notice was how gentle this shampoo was on my hair. This is a great facial cleanser, if you don't have oily skin. I think if you have oily skin, it might leave your face feeling a little greasy, since it has lanolin in it. The ingredients are very natural, and the scent is very nice (definitely an orange peel smell, but no overpowering). It leaves my skin feeling really smooth.

I tried this b/c it seemed like a good clean, natural way to wash my face and I was looking for something from a brand I trusted. I did not like this. It feels like you're rubbing thick oil on your face and rinsing it off. My face didn't tingle with cleanliness like I was expecting. It didn't feel cleaner I just felt nothing.

Over the course of about 5 or 6 months, I have reached the bottom of this bottle of cleanser. I won't be buying another, simply because it doesn't seem like it did anything. It didn't make my skin break out or cause any other negative effects, but it didn't seem to improve the health/appearance of my skin, either.

I found it easy to apply and easy to wash off. The cleanser does not lather up or anything, but I always felt like my face was clean after using this cleanser. The orange smell is also truly wonderful. So, it smells good and makes my skin FEEL clean, but the results it produced seem no different from what would have happened if I just rinsed my face with water every night. Smells great but unfortunately didn't do much for me.

I'll admit, I am kind of addicted to this stuff it smells incredible, and it leaves my sensitive skin feeling so good. But like someone else mentioned, I'm not sure it really actually does anything. To me, it's more like something you keep around for a night in with the girls for some occasional pampering and relaxation. I still break out, so I don't think I'll buy it again.

I have oily skin and I use this product a lot! I use it at night before bed and it seems like my skin soaks it up without feeling greasy in the morning. I end up with really soft skin.

My mom has extremely oily skin and she loves this stuff. Again, she uses it to clean her skin with a hand towel which helps her remove her make-up.

The feel of it is quite heavy, and it may also feel like you haven't quite rinsed it off completely. But once you let your skin dry off, it feels nice, clean and soft.

The orange smell is wonderful sometimes I just like to un-screw the cap and smell it.

Though there may be another Burt's Bees product out there for oily skin like mine, I will probably will still keep using this one too. (Their site has a chart to determine your skin type to the proper product they provide.)

Tried this at a hotel in NYC and I went nuts for it. It smoothes the skin. Loved it so much I had to purchase it. I am a usual neutrogena user, but this I am liking better.

...and doesn't really deliver the foamy lather I was expecting and hoping for. Still, just a small amount of product cleans my face very well, leaving it smooth and soft. I'd still prefer more actual foam, but all things considered, this is a good cleanser.

elure Advanced Facial Wash

I purchased this after getting the advanced skin lightening lotion from my dermatologist to treat melasma. Unfortunately, I have not yet seen a result but the cleansing wash is fantastic and totally worth the money. You only need a small amount, and it lathers beautifully. It also has the same ingredient that is in the lotion which is supposed to help with the melasma. Perhaps using the lotion will be preventative, but I know that the face wash is an effective cleanser, and I really like the way it lathers. I also have used it with my clarisonic and it works beautifully. Definitely worth the money. I paid $22.11, and it was shipped free via my Amazon prime.

A product that delivers based on the expectations of the company that created it. It did cause some drying of the hands after a washed, but the use of lotion helped a bit with that part. If one has sensitive skin, I would recommend that you try and look for an appropriate soap product instead of purchasing this.

I have perfume allergies, and for years have suffered through shampooing my hair. It just got worse and worse, until I had to take anti-histamines to wash my hair. This product is fantastic! I'm 20 years old now, and I've had serious acne from 10 to 19. Needless to say, I was left at 19 with a LOT of acne scars. Af, ter buying 1 bottle and using it twice a day (lasted about 2 months) I saw at LEAST a 50% improvement in the scars. I used to be uncomfortable leaving my house without foundation, and now I rarely wear it :)

Clarisonic Clarisonic Body Brush Extension Handle

The brush fits brilliantly into the handle. This is a great idea that's not quite functional yet. The problem is that the actual handle is too small and too slippery for grasping in the shower. I have what I consider to be normal sized female hands for a tall woman. The handle is comfortable just laying on the table, but its too skinny to hold on to when lifting the relatively heavy Clarisonic brush especially if there's any trace of soap on your hand or the handle. I literally have to use my entire grip strength to hold onto this thing during use. The fast fatigue factor renders the device absolutely useless. And Clarisonic doesn't consider Amazon an authorized vendor, so they won't take it back.

All I can say is if you own a Clarisonic and want to use the body brush so that your entire body can be exfoliated, you gotta get this handle! I read some reviews where people were saying it was slippery when wet with soap in their hands, but I didn't have this experience at all. I was able to comfortably scrub my back for as long as I wanted without any discomfort whatsoever. Greatest little gadget to add to the great Clarisonic line.

I used the Pro Poppy (just beautiful) and the Clarisonic Body Brush Extension Handle for the first time. I haven't felt this exceptionally clean, silky, and smooth on my face, back, arms, and legs since I was a baby. I just turned 60, but my skin now feels healthy.

I DID NOT purchase from this seller, but I have used this product for about 2+ years and love it! It makes my hair smooth and lay flat without having to put any additional product in it.

I tend to believe that it's the conditioner that goes with this that does all the work of smoothing the hair. But either way they both work amazingly!

This is normally a very good product. However, I NEVER received it when I ordered it at Amazon. I have sent a letter to the seller. I got back an unhelpful reply. I hope it will be resolved. I can not afford to throw my money away.
