Dr. Hauschka Clarifying Toner, 3.4-Ounce Box

I've been plagued by acne ever since I went through puberty, this works wonders. I like to spray this on my face twice daily before putting on some serum and moisturizer. This definitely made my face seem 10x more clearer. Once in a while I will spray this on and pat it down with a cotton pad. Don't be too harsh on your face! I've had this for about 5 months now and I'm down to half of a bottle left, not too bad and it was worth all the money!

I LOVE this product! I recently reluctantly switched from stealing my mom's (this is actually Katy C. Ameglio's daughter) Facial Toner to this, because my skin is oily. I was reluctant to switch because the Facial Toner worked so well for me. But since I've been using it for the past two months, I have most definitely noticed a difference in my normal-to-oily skin after using this day and night. My skin is not only almost blemish-free, but it's so so soft too! And I have to give all the credit to this wonderful product, because it's the only thing in my routine that I've changed. It's not too drying when I use it at night without a moisturizer (like Dr. Hauschka recommends). The one complaint I have is the smell of the product. It's not as pleasant as the Facial Toner. This may be a matter of personal preference. I got used to it after a couple of days, but again I really liked the smell of the Facial Toner better. But hey, what's a little smell when it comes with such glorious results? :) I'm here today to buy my second bottle. I would recommend this to anyone with normal-to-oily, oily or very oily skin.

This is a good toner. It does what it's supposed to do. I have two problems with it though that made me decide not to re-purchase. First, it's too expensive! You can find similar products out there for a fraction of its cost. Second, the scent is very strong and herbal. While I understand it's a plant based product and therefore it smells as such, I didn't like how pungent it really was. I had to let the smell air out for a while before going near my hubby. He didn't like kissing me with this stuff on my face full force ;-)

Clean & Clear Oil-Absorbing Sheets, 50 Count (Pack of 2)

I've been using these for a few years now and I love them for a number of reasons:

1. The sheets are thick enough to absorb a large amount of oil and my face is obviously matte after use.

2. Unlike tissue-paper-esque sheets, oily spots show up clearly so that it's very obvious which parts of the sheet are already saturated.

3. The sheets have no obvious scent.

4. The container is great. It's enclosed on all sides (unlike some booklets of blotting paper), so the sheets stay well-protected and clean. The tacky strip on the lid makes pulling out a single sheet much easier. If you accidentally grab an extra sheet, it's simple enough to fold it and tuck it back into the pocket (no waste).

5. The price isn't amazing, but it's less than many inferior competing products that I've tried, so I can handle it.

6. They're easy to come by and small enough to stash everywhere. I have one in my purse, one in my desk at work, one in my makeup bag, etc.

I love these oil absorbing sheets. I found out about these from a fellow oily faced person that swore by them. I have tried numerous ones in the past and they either did not absorb enough oil or they left my face with a ghastly white hue because they deposited powder. The fact that the sheet turns clear once it has absorbed oil is satisfying...so you know if you have to use another sheet. Also, my makeup stays intact and appears refreshed after use. I keep these in my purse and at my desk at work. I definitely recommend them.

One sheet absorbs a lot of oil, so these blotting sheets are very economical. Mind that these sheets are thick plastic-y type, not paper-based! The downside to this is slow absorption so the sheet is in contact with the skin longer than paper-based sheets. This may cause irritation. I don't use them very often for this reason, usually paper sheets are enough.

I have very oily skin and these work pretty good for taking away the shine on your face. I like them because they do not mess up or remove any makeup. I always keep some handy in my purse wherever I go!

My Beauty Diary Vanilla Souffle Face Scrub (Mousse) - 120ml

I first saw this product in Malaysia and I had wanted to try it ever since. When I saw that it was on Amazon, I was discouraged by the price but of course the cute packaging and enticing name lured me in and I bought it. It is a facial scrub/exfoliator but it does not have any granules in it. It is in a container sort of like a can of whipped cream or hair mousse and has a very light foam when dispensed. It has sort of an alcohol smell instead of a vanilla smell that I was hoping to get. I mean once you are able to get over the alcohol smell, it does have a hint of freshness but that is all. DO NOT SHAKE the can. It makes dispensing the product difficult. (and you may only be able to use it a few times before it becomes just spray liquid and not foam) While I can not say that all of the 'dead skin' is actually just dead skin, it is probably a combination of oils from your skin and product rolled on itself.

A little bit of this goes a long way so it will last you ages. Would I recommend it? Yes...to people who want a very mild exfoliation experience, but if you are looking for a rougher treatment, then no, this is not for you.

All Terrain Natural Wonder Wash

I had never used this before, but had been impressed by other All-Terrain products (the sunscreen and especially the insect repellent). I was going to a forest in the Philippines where I knew I'd be bathing in a mountain stream, so 100% biodegradeable and PH neutral were a must. I didn't have very high expectations, but it worked great as both a body soap and to clean my hair. My sister (who had been living there for 5 months and was using another product) commented on how it didn't make my hair look greasy and was promptly using it upon her next bathing. She thought it was great too. This will be my go to anytime that I need this type of product. It leaves you feeling clean and even though my hair was very long (mid-back length) I didn't have a problem combing it through after using the Wonder Wash. Great job All-Terrain! I have used this product for 2-3 years. It is perfect for hydrating menopausal/post menopausal skin. The cleansing lotion heals and moisturizes my skin all while gently and efficiently cleansing it. I also use several of their other facial products which I also highly recommend.

Zia Natural Skincare Fresh Cleansing Gel

Zia has long been a high-end line of natural products, and I have become a devotee in the past few years. I looked long and hard for a good paraben-free cleanser before I found the Zia Basics fresh cleansing gel with sea algae, and I absolutely loved it. Earlier this year, Zia changed their product line to remove parabens from all the products and base them all on aloe. I bought the new version and was disappointed to find several new chemical ingredients. When I used it on my face, it burned my skin. I have taken it back, and stocked up on the old formula through online suppliers. I hope Zia comes back around but until then, I don't recommend this product, particularly if your skin is at all sensitive, or you like to avoid alcohols in your facial products like I do.

Skin type = Rosacea. Have been using it for years, and it's the only cleanser that has not irritated my skin.

I do not have sensitive skin, so this cleanser works well for me. I had very oily skin/acne as a teenager and into my twenties. I am currently 41 and have normal skin that can tend to be a bit oily; the Zia products for "normal" skin work well for me. This cleanser feels better on my face than the older version felt (i.e. smoother and silkier). I highly recommend this product!

Urban Decay Joe Glow Cleansing Face & Body Scrub

Where do I start?! I love most every Urban Decay product. But I typically buy my body wash at the grocery store because it is always on my shopping list.

I stumbled across this gem looking at Urban Decay products, and was intrigued because I am a full blown coffee addict and have been looking for a good quality scrub that smells good.

The size is a bit smaller than what you would purchase at the grocery or drug store, but the smell is so good. The product itself looks like mud at first, but I tried it on my face first, and it made my skin so smooth and smelled so good, like sweet iced coffee. It works great on the skin, not being over abrasive, but enough to get all the dead skin off and make the skin nice and soft.

The only downside is that it did not work well on my heels, but they are in really rough shape anyway, so I really wasn't surprised.

I would recommend this product to everyone :)

As other reviewers have said, you need to use a lot of this shampoo, and you get very little, if any, lather. It does smell nice. However, my hair was so tangled that I had a hard time getting the conditioner rinsed out. Then, it took about 20 minutes to detangle afterwards, and I have quite fine hair. My hair seemed dry and frizzy afterwards. I have given this a fair chance 3 times. NO MORE. Although I like other Burt's Bees products (body lotion) this shampoo, for me, is terrible.

I dislike this product. It didn't do anything special to my hair, in fact my hair seemed coarser after using this stuff. Also the smell was not interesting in any way. Don't waste your money.

If by "Volumizing" it means "creates frizz" then this shampoo is doing it's job. But since I am pretty sure this is not the case, I am going to give this shampoo/conditioner 3 stars.

Why?

Well, it is a great natural shampoo I will give it that. Not nearly as many chemicals as other brands. One of my problems with it is that I have such long hair and it takes SUCH a large amount of shampoo in order to cover it. I have never had this problem with other shampoos... I don't know if it is just the consistency of it or what, but it takes me a good heaping handful to efficiently lather my hair. Same goes for the conditioner.

Another problem I have is that it leaves my hair VERY frizzy. I don't know if that is it's attempt at "volumizing", but I hate it. Of course the frizz can be fixed with a decent de-frizzer, but I have never had to use one of those in my life so it's kinda annoying that I would need to now after using this shampoo/conditioner.

All in all, I think this might be a really great shampoo for someone who has short to shoulder length hair and will not require such a large amount in order to fully lather up their hair. But, it is not a great shampoo for me, and I will not be buying it again. The price + how much I need to use is just not worth it for me. It might be if the shampoo didn't leave my hair frizzy and actually did what it advertised, but that is not the case. I hope others have better results.

OMG! This product is AMAZING!! I have never used a hair mask that left my hair so hydrated! I have dry curly hair, and I bought this in a kit from jade beauty supply, after I used it my hair was completely frizz-free!! And that is a miracle for me, because my hair tends to frizz up after washing it and air drying it. But not any more with these macadami oil products! Yes, they are expensive, But they are worth it! I've used so many expensive brands, like redken, joico, paulmitchell, but nothing ever left my hair like these macadamia oil products. It seems that dry hair gets the most benefits from good oil products. Don't think this will leave hair greasy, NO, it is what is amazing from this, It's made of macadamia oil and argan oil, but my hair was soft silky SUPER SHINY!! and light after I used the shampoo, the mask and the macadamia healing oiL!! I am so, happy with this purchase! This one is a keeper for life!! I hope the company of macadamia oil products never ever discontinue! If you have very dry hair, that dosen't shine unless you put lots of serum and gloss on it, I HIGHLY RECOMEND THese MACADAMIA PRODUCTS!

i decided to try this product b/c of the other reviews, and i do think that this mask works just as well as morroccan oil, or bumble & bumble curl concious or creme de cocoa masks, which i have been using for a while. The great thing about the macadamia oil mask is 1) the price, you cant beat it and 2) it really does make your hair very very soft & silky & 3)the jar is huge! i have thick, frizzy, curly, dry red hair, and i've used so many expensive products on my hair to try and tame it. this mask is very thick & coats well. plus you get a huge jar for a fraction of the cost of what the other masks are. the reason i took off 2 stars for this product is b/c it has a very very strong scent. I prefer products that are frangrace free or just have whatever natural scent the ingredients give it, i cant stand scents, especially floury perfumy scents like this one has. i used this mask last night, and the scent has stayed with me all day, giving me a headache. if you are sensitive to scents or fragrance, i dont recommend this mask. but the price, quality and size of the jar definatly make this a great product.

I had high hopes for this mask and it didn't disappoint. I left it on for much longer than the recommended 7 minutes probably closer to 30 minutes. My hair was just that dried out. Afterwards, my hair was so silky smooth and soft it didn't even resemble its' former self! Leaving it on that long, it did kind of dry to my hair and I probably had to rinse it longer than if I had just left it on for the 7 minutes. About a week later, I used it on my daughter's hair, left it on extra long again, but this time I put a shower cap over it until I rinsed it out. The shower cap kept it from drying to the hair so that's what I'm doing with from now on. This is just an amazing product and I look forward to using it!

One of the best products I've ever used! I love how its a foam and the fact that it takes away all of my makeup including my waterproof eyeliner. One product I've used caused me to break out leaving tiny bumps all over my face. Another left my skin dry and had a buring sensation due to the salicylic acid. But with this one, I do not have any problems whatsoever. It's a shame that it is a discontinued item when this product works so well!

This has proven to be the best makeup remover out there. It is priced very low for such great results. You really feel it working on your face as you rub it in with water. The pump makes it easy to dispense more when you need it even when your eyes are closed. You can open your eyes with this on and around it without it burning your eyes. Kiehl's Ultra Facial Toner

I have been a fan of Kiehl's products for many years. I must admit, my greatest weakness is picking the favorite product from their line of skin care products. I picked this toner becuase it has a consistency and look of a facial cleanser when in fact this is a toner. It is a wonderful product, and I like it better that cucumber toner. Product is gentle, not as watery as most other toners. It has no alchohol in it. It is advertised as a product that can be used for all skin types. My skin is combination skin type and my face totally loves this product. I put it on in the morning and in the evening before moisturizer. I am sure I will start using this product on regular basis. Price is right and product will last you for at least 3 months if you use it twice a day as I do.

My Maid of Honor turned me onto Kiehl's, and I'm lucky enough to live near a retail store. She bought me a starter pack, and it turns out the toner was my worst enemy.

Their cleanser is great, but this toner in particular was so drying for me!!! It also used to sting as it went on, not a great sign. It was okay for a few days, but then I started getting really red, dry, flaky patches around my nose and chin. The flakes of skin were huge and gross, and the red discoloration was so noticeable.

I went into the retail store and the really nice associate who helped me said that my skin was dry and I needed more moisturizer. I tend to be on the oilier side with my skin, but I trusted her and bought a nearly $60 cream (the Rosa Artica) to combat the dryness. I started using it, but the cream also stung when I put it on after the toner. It was sooooo heavy and thick (even after using a pea sized amount and warming it up between my fingertips), it felt like a mask. It seemed to solve the issue anyway, but only for a few weeks before the redness and flaking came back.

Once I stopped using the toner flat out, things got much better. The stinging went away and my skin improved. Then I stopped using the Rosa Artica cream and switched over to Alba products. Now my skin is fantastic!

I can't recommend this toner based on my experience, but Kiehl's does have 3 other toners to choose from, so I'd ask for samples of the other ones to try first before buying a whole bottle. I hear their canendula one is much better.

NARS Makeup Cleansing Oil

I have been using cleansing oil by Shu Uemura and have been thoroughly happy. This is the holy grail of cleansing oils,

But when I got two deluxe sized samples of Nars Cleansing Oil -enough for a few days of washing, I was ready to put it to the test.

I wear very waterproof mascara and a full face of makeup: foundation, blush and eyeshadow. All are premium products, so they require a real good cleaner for removal. The Nars did not fare well at removing the waterproof eye makeup. And I had to use so much of it -much more than what need with the Shu.

It did not emulsify well at all. Dd not build up a nice lather like the Shu.

My skin did feel cleansed after I used it, and it did have a clean glow, The fragrance was also very light and pleasant (Origins Cleansing Oil has a strong, medicinal-floral fragrance that lingers)

Overall, I'd say that the Nars Cleansing Oil is average. Factor in the price, and it goes a notch down Shu Uemura is actually more expensive, but it is so much more effective. Especially if you wear waterproof cosmetics.

Good product and for an amazing price. Definitely up there with Mac and other name brand cleansing oils.

This is a highly effective product. I have oily sensitive skin, so I use a few drops of this before washing. It has dissolved every trace of makeup on my face every time. I had a domino mask of black eyeshadow and glitter, and this wiped it right off. It has also never made my normally sensitive eyes sting. You only need a pump or two, so a 6.7 oz bottle will last you months. The price is well worth it, and this product has earned a spot on my sink.

Vitabath Original Spring Green Moisturizing Bath & Shower Gelee (10.5 Oz.)

I as delighted to find my "bas de das" for sale on line. It is one of my absolutely favorite bubbling moisture bath of all times. I was always able to find it at a major department store, but they have stopped carrying it . The scent and the bubbles smell so wonderful that it stays with you for hours. I'm reviewing the Curls Curlicious Curls Cleansing Cream shampoo.

This is definitely a very thick and creamy moisturizing shampoo. As suggested by Curls and other users of the shampoo, about once a month, use their clarifying shampoo before this. If you're used to the squeaky clean feel of some other shampoos, then this will take some getting used to. However, I find that my hair is more manageable after just using the shampoo and before deep conditioning. I do love this product and will continue to use it. It also smells yummy without being overpowering. I am using this shampoo along with the Curls Deep Conditioner, the Curls Souffle, and the Curls Elixir and I am loving them so far. I am currently transitioning from relaxed hair and am just 7 weeks from my last relaxer so I find the products very moisturizing and softening.

I really love this shampoo and wish I had gotten it a lot sooner. It really does what it's purposed to do and that is to cleanse the buildup out of your hair. And it smells awesome. After using it, I condition and de-tangle and my hair comes out super soft. I have been natural for 1 year and have been using this product for the last 2 months along with other products from this line. I am super satisfied. I have already started recommending this product to many of my natural friends!

I love this product as well as others in this line. I have this, the curls milkshake, the tea ectasy deep conditioner, and am going to buy more. Since I bought this and the others my hair has been growing like wild fire. Suggestions I would use in addition to this are vegetable glycerin in water as a leave in conditioner and a natural gel for styling, I'm currently using kinky curling custard which is awesome but sticky. The curls gel a ce in this line is also supposed to be good but I haven't used it so I can't say, but definitely get this.

I have been using WEN for a year now and really like how my hair feels, but I just can't afford it anymore. I saw this product and thought I would give it a try. It is BETTER than WEN! It left my hair soft and shiny and not weighed down. I have fine hair so I could only use WEN once a week and then I would use my normal shampoo. I found with Salon Graphix, I can use it 2-3 days in a row and my hair looks amazing. I will definitely make the switch permanently.

I had no idea I was suffering all these years even with salon shampoos and conditioners! I used to condition, deep condition, detangle, and use a frizz control product just to get through my morning routine and have OK hair. Even after all of that my hair still wasn't shiny like I thought it should be.

WELL. This product changed all that! I had been considering trying the WEN system, but just hadn't gotten around to it. I saw this at the drug store and decided to give it a try. It is simply amazing. I didn't need a detangler to comb out my hair, needed nothing to control frizzies and my hair is sooooooo soft! I even used my daughters fine toothed comb on my wet hair and it slid right through! Even after blowing it dry every hair was right where I wanted it, soft, manageable and SHINY!

I'm so happy and am curious to see if I'm still this happy after a week or two of use. If so, I will NEVER go back to traditional shampoo and conditioner in my mind it is completely worthless compared to this product. It was exactly what my hair needed.

I bought this at a local drugstore. I was looking for a while for a conditioning cleanser "like Wen" but not a $50 a bottle solution.

This conditioning cleanser does not provide soapy lather. That was my first tip that this was what I was looking for. I wanted a no-soap solution for keeping my hair clean and not greasy. I typically need to wash my hair daily to not get a "slick look."

During the 5 minutes the directions said to leave it on, I occasionally massaged it into my scalp and hair, noting how great it smells. It's really important to RINSE RINSE RINSE. This gets the conditioner that has bound to the dirt all rinsed out, leaving behind clean conditioned hair.

I have really thick longish hair, and I know when it's not conditioned. When I came out of the shower, my wet hair even felt clean, not sticky or oily (like it was with my last attempt at CO-washing), and was easy to comb/brush/dry. Once dry, it looked clean and healthy. Not frizzy or too flat.

I'll use this product again. I might try the Loreal conditioning cleanser or WEN, but I'm really happy with this product so I likely won't make a permanant switch.

I am so glad I found this product. I was planning on getting the Wen Hair system but after seeing this product on an ad in a magazine I decided to give it a try first since it is so much cheaper than Wen. I found it at my local Walgreens and was so excited to give it a try. I'm Asian and have very long and fine hair so I used about 10-12 pumps instead of the 5-7 as directed. I absolutely love this product! It smells so good and my hair is shiny and silky just after the first use!! I am extremely impressed!! I can easily brush my hair without any breakage and tangling. I got a trial size tube of this stuff from Nordstoms when I bought a Clarisonic brush for my face. I looked at it and thought I would save it for when I travel since it is so small, not thinking that I would like it much. I tried it for the first time and couldn't believe how good it worked!
