I wash my hands a lot maybe too often (I'm a bit of a germ freak) and keep trying different organic liquid soaps. I was so excited to see Pelindaba made a liquid castile soap with their organic lavender essential oil. It's gentle on my skin and leaves my hands clean and soft.

I am almost done with my first bottle of this, and WOW. It seems like my skin (acne prone, t-zone oily) went through a bit of a detox breakout at first but I kept using it. To be honest, I was wondering if the cleanser worked, and if I should quit using it, but I had heard turmeric did great things for your face and kept with it. WOW. My skin has never looked like this, ever. The entire texture is different and the "deepness" of the clarity of my skin is truly amazing. It's like it's shining from the inside out. I have tryed many skincare products over the years, and have struggled with off and on acne. Its hard to find a good product that helps with adult acne and anti-aging as well. I love all of the Passport to Organics products. I have used several of them and they all work great! I am a big fan of Eminence products. I was excited to pick up this new exfoliant. Of the company's line of skin polishers and exfoliants I can say that I really like their Yam and Pumpkin Enzyme Peel but their Pear and Poppy Seed Microderm Polisher is not effective enough for me. This product is very similar to Dermalogica's Microfoliant; however, I think the Eminence version is significantly better. While Dermalogica's version of a rice bran and oat exfoliant has won some InStyle best product awards, I truly think this product is superior.

Eminence's Strawberry Rhubarb Dermafoliant is great for sensitive, acne prone or rosacea prone skin that can sometimes be difficult to exfoliate without irritation. I think the level of exfoliation is a great balance for those that cannot tolerate harsh scrubbing or harsh chemical exfoliants. The combination of the gentle rice powder along with the lactic acid makes this a gentle mix of chemical and manual exfoliation for skin. The composition of this product is not like other exfoliants and is a dry powder that you shake out of the top almost like a bottle of baby powder. After shaking out a dime or nickel size amount into your hand, mix the powder with water to form a paste and then apply to your skin in circular motions.

The exfoliant includes:

*Salicylic acid that gently exfoliates and removes impurities to brighten skin and shrink pores

*Rhubarb: a good source of ascorbic acid and vitamins to fight the look of wrinkles

*Lactic Acid: sloughs off dead skin cells to improve texture of skin

*Rice: gentle exfoliant; buffs and smooths skin texture

*Chickpea Flour: tightens pores; absorbs excess oil and helps to buff and smooth skin

*Thermal Mud: contains high amounts of mineral trace elements and sulfur to improve and support the skin

*Oats: deeply cleanse and smoothe

*a booster of antioxidants, vitamins, Coenzyme Q10, and Alpha Lipoic Acid to reduce the appearance of wrinkles and improve the appearance of skin

On the negative side, the packaging could be better. You have to be extremely careful not to get water in the top of the bottle or the product at the top will form a paste and it will become near impossible to shake any product out. If that happens you have to leave the bottle alone for about a week or so. This will allow the top to dry up completely and you can shake the powder out again. It is frustrating not being able to keep the bottle in or even remotely near my shower due to this issue. On the plus side, because it is just a dry powder it is easy to travel with and doesn't take space in my carry-on liquids allotment.

If you do not have sensitive skin this exfoliant may not be aggressive enough for you and you may be disappointed by it. That said, if you are one (like me) that likes to exfoliate everyday, because this is fairly gentle you can use it everyday without irritation. In contrast, some of the stronger exfoliants that we review on this site can only really be used once a week.

i got this for my baby/toddler to replace his old sponge and was surprised by how rough it was at first. after about 6-12 months or so i don't notice the roughness anymore, but it's also starting to develop holes, so i think it's just probably meant to be a little rougher than others. it gets plenty of use though for my 2 yr old's daily baths. i would just recommend this sponge for adults and big kids over babies/toddlers.

Years ago I had silk sea sponges which I used mainly for applying cosmetics. They lasted well and I loved them. I was down to my last decent sized one when I saw these. I have very sensitive skin and wanted to use these for washing my face. I had just ordered comparably priced sea silk sponges and they were like sandpaper. I was hesitant about ordering again, but am so glad that I did. While these are very soft, they are slightly less silky than my original. They are still quite lovely to use. On the plus side for these is their size. They are larger and you can wash your face thoroughly very quickly and rinse it off with these sponges. It can be used for a soft bath sponge as well.

The sponges came individually and carefully packaged in their own bags with a ribbon. The delivery of the order was so rapid. It was a pleasure doing business with this company in every way. Thank you.

I'd been using Perricone's Skin Clear treatment until they discontinued it last spring and hadn't found anything equivalent, until now. This stuff is awesome. Pricey, but so good for my skin and has not only cleared it up, but brightened it up and made it a lot softer. I'm a convert and glad that I found this gem. I have 38 year old combination skin with hormonal breakouts and this stuff has cured that. Worked quickly. Noticed a difference within days.

Make no mistake about it, my son has been dealing with acne for three years and it's a difficult run. However, what I have noticed is, there is a difference between brand name products that have the same ingredients. I'm not sure what it is, but he will have a product work very well for a while and then it stops working. At that point, if we change products, he gets better results. I did notice that Medica is one of the better brands that is very good at doing what it is supposed to do. He was using Proactive before with very good results. It had stopped working well for six months, so my sister-in-law, who is a cosmetic laser tech, recommended this namebrand product. It is worth the money that you'll spend for it. But keep in mind that it depends on what kind of acne you have. If you are a teenage boy and you have hormones that are causing the problem with acne, it's not going to be a miracle cure. It just helps control the oil that is a product of the rampant hormones. For severe acne, it's best to use this in an arsenal of weapons: including a healthy diet (low on dairy/caffeine/sugar), plenty of rest, less stress, more exercise, and increased water consumption.

From the ingredient list I was made to believe that this product is all natural. On the package it only says Japanese botanical include: Rice Bran, Aloe, Seaweed and Coconut Oil. On this website: it also says the ingredients are: Rice Bran, Collagen, Glycyrrhiza, Aloe, Algae Extract, Chamomile, Seaweed, Honey, and Coconut Oil.

No, it is not totally natural. With my limited knowledge of Katakana I can still read that Metylparabel is one of the ingredients. I have been using many chemical products so I want to use at least a non-chemical product to give my skin a break. But this is not a natural product as it claims to be. I am so disappointed. At least, it has a pleasant smell so I give it a 2 stars. I don't think I will want to purchase this item again.

I used Komenuka Bijin all the time back in Japan but since the brand is not as common to find here, I've been trying several other brands... but I had to come back to using rice bran when I found Komenuka products online :)

1. Smells good for starters (kind of smells like that good ol' delicious steam coming out of the rice cooker before dinner's ready!)

2. Since this lovely cleanser both cleanses and exfoliates, I no longer have to use other peeling gel/exfoliater nearly as often as I used to (which I had to use all the time with other cleanser foam, etc.)

3. Natural! Being made of mostly natural ingredients including the ever powerful rice bran, it is especially great for me, since I often have troubles with chemical-packed products because of my ultra sensitive skin... Just great! I love it!

This is my favorite facial cleansing product. It has a very pleasant (faint) smell and cleans well. Since it's in powdered form it will keep longer than a liquid soap. It's a tad expensive but well worth it. BTW I bought mine in Japan for much cheaper :)

POND'S Dry Skin Cream, 10.1-oz. (Pack of 3)

I tried this product for about 2 months and it just wasn't creamy enough for my super dry, flaky skin. So I gave the jar to my younger sister who has pretty skin for her age, but not as bad as mine. I came home after about 2 months of her using it, and omg...... I have NEVER FELT SUCH BEAUTIFUL, SOFT, SILKY, CREAMY, SKIN!!!! ARGHHH I'm so jealous I just wish it was my skin!!! Before this, my sister had okay but dull skin with a couple of blemishes. Now her skin is glowing, smooth, ULTRA SIKLY and honestly... I just couldn't stop touching it bc I was amazed and very very surprised it worked on her [bc it didn't work on me].

So yeah, this product works WONDERS and MIRACLES but the catch is that it didn't work for me. We all have different skin types and some just work better on others.

I have had oily skin my entire life but now, in the sixth month of my second pregnancy, I am experiencing very dry patches of skin on my forehead and my upper cheeks on either side of my nose. I tried ignoring it, but it just got worse and worse and my skin began to crack and flake. It was especially visible when I put on my makeup. So I began to try to not wear makeup as much, but have very pale skin and need some extra help so as not to look sickly.

I found this at Wal-Mart and immediately put a little dab on my forehead (no makeup that day): no burning, it penetrated my skin, felt silky and dewy -but not greasy -and I could see and feel the difference right away. My dry skin was much less visible, stopped itching and looked and felt almost normal. And it was only $4 for a big tub! It even works on my dry, chapped hands that have been ravaged from dish-washing and constant hand-sanitizer use -and it doesn't make my hands feel "dirty", just soft.

I tried Pond's Cold Cream, but it does not seem to work as a moisturizer as well as it does a makeup remover. I tried Cetaphil with SPF 15, but it made my skin burn and just sat on top of my skin like an oil slick. I even tried Eucerin for severely dry skin -no burning, and it saturated, but it was way too heavy and oily (it's not made for faces, though). As I said, I have oily skin prone to breakout so I was shy about using a "dry skin cream". And since we are on a tight budget I didn't want to spend a lot of money. This product is PERFECT for my needs and, since a little goes a long way, will last a long time.

Clarisonic Clarisonic Mia Sonic Cleansing System - Green

The Clarisonic Mia is a great tool to add to your daily maintenance routine. It is easy to use and each charge lasts for at least 20 uses. I have used this producty for about a month and I saw the difference in my face after the second use! I was a bit surprised at how fast I noticed a difference. My skin looked brighter and the pimples that I had began to disappear. My pores also looked tighter. Eve Lom Cleanser

I need to preface this by stating I don't have problem skin, however I was curious to see how this product would stack up after reading tons of reviews on how your skin "glows" if used correctly. I get the occasional blemish here and there, but I really wanted to see if Eve Lom would live up to the hype of giving that radiant appearance. I have to say I am VERY impressed! I have been using it for about 2 weeks now. I use it in the morning and evening, as I tend to be on the oily skin side and that was recommended. After each use my skin feels soft and supple (never tight or dry!). I love the muslin cloth, it's very gentle and the makeup washed right off! The one thing I didn't like was the smell...but it's easy to get past for beautiful skin. Make sure you follow the directions of how to use the product to get the most out of it. Also keep in mind, a little goes a long way, so the $75 price tag is bit shocking, but this should last for months to come. AND you no longer need to spend extra $$ on toner and all that other skin stuff because this does it all....so in reality you would end of spending just as much, if not more on skin products. I just apply a light sunscreen in the morning after I wash, but that's all you need!

After 2 weeks I can already see a huge difference in the tone of my skin. It really does give you a glowing, radiant appearance. Also, I had a few small blemishes (god I hate pms!) and they were gone within a couple days and haven't had any since. I was a little worried the Vaseline like texture and that it would make my skin more oily, but actually it did the opposite. Can't wait to see what my skin will look like in the next few weeks as this has already had a pretty quick effect.

I admit it...I love buying skin care products. I often try new products in the hopes in finding the perfect solution. After years of trying various premium skin care lines, I think the Eve Lom Cleanser is about as perfect as it gets. I am 47 with dry skin. This product not only removes all makeup, it leaves your skin feeling super soft, bright and with perfect moisture balance. After 60 days of use, the benefits are untold. I wouldn't say it took 10 years off my face, but it definitely slowed the progress. Thin lines are diminished, pores diminished, skin feels amazing.

I had tried numerous cleansers, both drugstore and prestige, before being recommended Eve Lom cleanser. Although the cleanser is not cheap I have found it to be worth every cent. It is not like regular cleansers it is almost like giving yourself a home facial every day. The Eve Lom cleanser is not recommended as an apply and rinse-off product. There is a procedure to it, and the box contains the cleanser, a muslin cloth and an instruction leaflet.

The cleanser is applied to the entire face and massaged in. You then use the muslin cloth to do a hot water compress which is repeated several times before using the muslin cloth to exfoliate the face and wipe off the cleanser. The cloth should then be rinsed in cold water and used as a compress to finish.

I found that the cleanser was great for my combination skin, working on both my oily T-zone and dehydration and even removed waterproof mascara. It left my skin feeling soft and moisturised and I found that after several days usage my makeup applied easier and several people remarked on my radiant complection.

Although slightly time-consuming I really enjoy the nightly ritual of the cleanser. If I have the time in the morning I use this cleanser, or if pressed for time I use the morning time cleanser which is a simple rinse-off formula Eve Lom Morning Time Cleanser, 125 ml

This is the second time I've purchased this cleanser, I bought it through Amazon due to the excellent price. The cleanser has a strong herbal odor. Like.. cloves. Some people find this medicinal and offensive, but I love it. This cleanser comes with a white muslin cloth, which you are supposed to use in this whole cleansing "ritual." Sometimes I used it, mostly I don't. I love the way this cleanser removes makeup, as welleven mascara, which is always tough. Is it really better for skin than any other cleanser? than plain old cold cream? I'm not sure. I always read the reviews on "beautypedia.com," which are written by a cosmetic chemist, and she has some problems with the formultion of this product, but I love th smell and the experience, and I like how moisturizing it is. Not for everyone, but certainly for cosmetic junkies.

I purchased and used this BEFORE selecting it as an Amazon Vine Review item. It's a 4STAR product; loose and liquidy compared to other deep conditioners. It performs pretty well for my winter dry, frizz-prone hair. A little goes a long way or you'll be a drippy, wasteful mess. It rinses clean, smells nice and is only needed once a week. It works well according to the directions.

I have found it works even better with a little extra time and a few changes...I do not use this as an in-shower treatment NOR use a hair dryer as directed. I have OILY scalp DRY hair. My hair is shoulder length, dyed and a dry, frizzy winter disaster in need of tender, loving, care!

I section dry hair (6-8 sections), spritz a section lightly with water, massage small amount of masque from hair ends up the strands to an INCH before scalp. Pin or clip the section, move on to next one until all hair is treated. Cover with a plastic cap or bag, wrap head in towel to capture body heat to warm head/hair. This process opens the hair shaft so it can absorb the moisturizing goodness. Put your feet up, Relax with a cuppa hot tea or coffee, read a magazine or two, for 20 30 minutes. *You can even squeeze in a facial masque during this pamper time.

THEN hop into the shower, SHAMPOO scalp only and rinse hair well. Blot smooth, soft hair. YES it's really your hair in great condition! Shea butter, Avocado & Coconut oil magic is complete. Follow the remainder of your usual hair care routine.

I like this Deep Conditioner and would recommend it. I'll still switch back & forth with Neutrogena Triple Moisture Deep Recovery Hair Mask, 6 Ounce (Pack of 2). When my hair gets used to some products, they become ineffective and I have to alternate products to keep my hair happily tamed.

With hair too dry to wash often, I tried that expensive and very popular sweet almond mint cleansing conditioner. If you are looking for an alternative to that product, THIS is IT!

Although it's wonderful using as directed, when used in the same way as the TV one, the results are fabulous!

First, wet your hair.

Next massage your scalp while the water runs over it. Do that for a full minute, just as if you were using a normal shampoo, but instead using just water.

Now scoop a few tablespoons of the Motions deep conditioning mask out of the jar, and massage the product in your scalp and through your hair. Add a little water so the product can emulsify a bit. It froths a little, not like lather, just a bit of froth.

Rinse it out completely and then take a few more tablespoons and apply as you would any conditioner. If you use a heating cap, this is the time that you would put it on. Otherwise, you can use a shower cap.

Rinse out when you feel that your hair is well conditioned. The longest that I've left it on has been an hour, and my hair was so shiny, and the curl defined.

The fragrance is light and doesn't stick to your hair like some of the products that knock you out with the smell. If you are trying to grow your hair this is your miracle product!

This is a nice hair masque. It has a pleasant smell and is not too heavy or greasy. It makes your hair smell very nice and it makes hair shiny and easy to manage. One thing I noticed after several uses of this mask, is that it seems to make hair stronger and much less brittle-especially if you have dry ends.

My hair is damaged on the ends due to hot irons and this product really does help. I was expecting a heavier conditioner but find this to be a product that isn't too heavy and doesn't weigh down your hair. I wasn't sure what to expect with this product as I was unfamiliar with the brand. I thought it might be just your run-of-the-mill deep conditioner but wow! was I pleasantly surprised! The consistency of this product is thick and silky and it smells wonderful. After one use in the shower my hair was NOTICEABLY softer, smoother, and more healthy looking. It smelled wonderful and my previously damaged hair was easier to style. I have wavy hair so I blew it dry and used a curling iron to make distinct waves and it looked great. Just purchased good price (after checking out the ProX prices, and that thing they have on the infomercial at over $250).

Anyway, at 61, my skin is pretty good for my age, but it ain't 25 year old skin anymore! This product has done a nice job, and I've only used it 3 times I already see a difference, a 'brighter' refreshed look. Just for the hell of it, I used the pad twice, and it worked fine! Maybe I didn't use it long enough the first time so it still had some "go" left in it. But, give it the ol' 1-2 try!

I would have liked the pads to be maybe a little more abrasive for older skin, that would be better. Maybe they should offer a couple of different "grit" pads, like sandpaper!!

I recently had 'real' microdermabrasion I have a pretty high pain/discomfort threshold well, let me tell you that procedure wasn't pleasant, it bloody hurt, and........after 2 treatments with this high powered machine, I really saw little difference, not lasting, anyway.

Do yourself a favor give this little machine a try at $20, it's not a miracle worker, you won't look 25 again, but I think you'll see a difference. I'm going to stick with it.

My results were excellent. I have mild acne scars and pockmarks near my temples and using this product helped reduce the visibility of these scars. It also made my face noticeably smoother.

I recommend this product, but I do have a few caveats. Don't use it for more than a few minutes at a time and be gentle when you use it. I overused it one time and parts of my face ended up red and irritated from the friction. Also, try to avoid getting the cleanser in your eyes. I found that when I used it on my forehead it had a tendency to drip into my eyes which caused a mild sting.

I love this product. There are sufficient microdermabrasion pads included in this pack to get you hooked on using it--and hooked you will be, for the results speak for themselves. My face is squeaky clean and smooth after using, and I feel like my other facial products are that much more effective (such as moisturizers and serums) after using this product every 3 days. It seems to be having good results in terms of decreasing the look and size of my pores.

As a fun aside note....I think that this product could also be used, ahem, for another purpose. It has two speeds, and the head that the microderm pads are attached to, can also be detached. So. Just sayin'.

This is a great product and I love the price. It does pretty much what it is supposed to do but I can not use it 3/week as Neutrogena recommends. I only go for twice/ week if at all. My face feels so soft and fresh after using it. It is a must for any skincare routine. :)

Ok so I have purchased SKABILLIONS of facial products over the years, and I saw this and thought what the heck..it's cheap so if it sucks no big loss. After years of searching, I read some consumer testing that this was the best facial cleanser so I tried it. I was not disappointed. It removes all traces of dirt and makeup (even mascara). You can even test it by using a skin toner and a cottonball afterwards and your cottonball will be clean.

I've used this for over a year and it is absolutely my favorite facial cleaner, it gets my face the cleanest and does not dry my face nor make it feel tight.

I tend to have very sensitive skin, especially around my eyes, and lot of things sting them. Because of this I always try to use a product I know to be hypo-allergenic and mild on the eyes.

I was delighted with the way this cleanser works on my skin. It thoroughly cleans my face with a soft sudsy foam that works up fairly quickly and rinses off nicely leaving my skin feeling moisturized and not 'crinkly' the moment I have dried it.

I will say that I gave if 4 out of 5 stars because it does not remove all of my eye makeup, mascara and liner pencil specifically, completely. It does clean the mascara from my lashes, but no matter what I do I have that mini raccoon look around my eyes.

So, to combat this, I use an eye makeup remover (see my review list to check out the product that works well for me) BEFORE washing with this face wash and I am thrilled with the results.

I even asked my dermatologist if using this product was OK versus using something prescribed or some high end cosmetic counter cleanser and he told me that it was a solid product, so with that and my experiences with the product and the discount I can find here on Amazon, I have no trouble recommending this product with high praise!

I have used this cleanser for over five years and it's the best cleanser for removing makeup. Believe me I have tried plenty of products in between and I always return to this. The scent is very light and it works great without drying the skin and without irritating the eyes. Let me begin by telling you I have shoulder length naturally curly hair which frizzes out to a mop the minute it hits any humidity. I spent highschool and college hours and hours trying to tame it. Most recently using a straightener daily but if I should get it wet by weather or workout it would just start frizzing and curling again. And yes, I have tried leave in products that promise no frizz.

I was going to ask a friend to help me apply the mixture and straighten my hair with the straightener but no one was avaialble so I did it myself. Here's what happened:

Application was fairly easy except I noticed caustic fumes that irritated my throat and eyes. Once I coated my whole head of hair I decided to spend the next 40 minutes of wait time outside as I felt very affected by the fumes.

Once wait time was over I blew dry the lotion in my hair which again stirred up the fumes. I kept putting my face near an open window as my eyes and throat were extrememly affected.

I then partitioned my hair as directed and used my straightener at 450 degrees. I made sure that I went over areas several times and tried very hard to make sure I got everything very straight. During this procedure my hair did give off smoke and fumes and at times caused me to need to put a towel over my face. Still....I was almost done.

I waited the full 72 hours before I washed my hair and conditioned with the included conditioner and then again with my own to make sure it got plenty of remoisturizing.

I brushed my wet hair out, no blow dry, no touch ups.

I woke up the next day and not only was my hair extrememly straight, it was the shiniest and softest it has been in a long time. I went to work and even got comments. I don't know how long it will last but if it lasts 2 months I may suffer the process again.

I have had my hair straightened in the salon with the Japanese process and it took a year to overcome the damage and took $200 out of my pocket. This was much less. I would recomend wearing a scarf or mask over your mouth and nose to avoid the fumes, though.

I bought this online after spending $350 at the salon for a Keratin treatment. After doing a ton of research, I found that the worst damage I could do, would be a really hot hair straigtening so I decided to give it a shot. This product worked fantastic! It got my natural wavy hair straight, thicker, and fuller. I don't even have to blowdry it. It takes a while, and is good for a Sunday afternoon. It's worth every penny for those extra hours of sleep from lack of having to do my hair. It even holds the curl better when I want to make waves with a curling iron.

I used this instead of paying $250 to get a salon Brazilian blowout, and I thought it worked really good. I have short hair, which may have helped, but I just followed the instructions and made sure I had a flat iron that gets to at least 450 degrees. I used it about 4 weeks ago, and my hair is just starting to get wavy again. I wash my hair every day and also swim, so I think you could prolong the results by washing your hair less often. All in all I thought it gave me a good result and I will purchase again.

I bought this and used it for about 4-treatments.

I am african american and for my hair it lasts about a month.

It doesn't get as straight as when I went to the salon, but it was doable.

I don't like the idea of using this every month and have purchased another product.

The first time I followed the instructions and washed my hair, then dryed and then applied.

It only lasted about 3 weeks.

The 2nd, 3rd & 4th time, I did it like my salon and applied it after I rinsed out the shampoo and then dryed my hair.

These lasted longer, but I have ordered another product to see if it will last longer (3-months like the salon).

I used this product for the first time at the end of August. I actually saw a big difference in my hair, it was really shinny and soft. It reduced the frizziness of the hair and it doesn't get as puffy as it did before. But the results only lasted about 3 weeks and the product says that the results could last up to 3 months. I did read that the more you use the product the longer the results are and the better the results get. So we'll see how it goes. I recommend this product if you are looking for an alternative for an expensive brazilian blowout!

This is a very good product from what I can tell. I'm on my second tube. It's great for sensitive skin but gets it thoroughly clean. Moisturizer still needs to be applied, though, to those sensitive areas.
