As with all Babor products, I love it!!! I was looking for an alternative to the hy-oil cleanser to use at night and this is great. I love how it smells, a little bit foams up nicely, and creates a nice gentle lather. I bought Kiehl's acai cleanser which is similar as it also pumps foam. However, this cleanser smells SOOO much better and my face does not feel dried out in the least.

Juice Organics Brightening Cleanser and Moisturizer and Serums are amazing. I have slightly sensitive skin and didn't have any problems with this system. I got this from target as part of a try me kit. I have very dry skin and most of the cleanser seemed to dry out my skin and also stung my eyes (even if I keep it as far away as possible from my eyes). But this cleanser is so mild yet so potent. It washed my makeups away easily. To try it I've even put it around my eyes to remove eye makeup and it worked perfectly fine without much of irritation (better than my eye makeup remover). It didn't dry out my skin. My only complaint would be, I can no longer find it in Target or any store near by. So I have to order it online.

I use a dandruff shampoo once or twice a week to control dry, flaking scalp. In between, I have tried countless shampoos, but still have to use a scalp treatment.

I took a gamble and ordered Davines shampoo to use between the scalp medication, and to my surprise, I found out that I could skip the scalp medication(physician prescribed)

and the dryness and inflammation did not return. It is a pricey shampoo, but it smells great and for over a year now the inflammation has not returned. Will it work for you?

I bought a travel size of this shampoo/body wash at a local salon to try out. I love it so much I didn't bother finishing my old bottle of shampoo because it can't compare. This has a slightly oily texture to it which creates a luxurious moisturizing lather. It rinses clean, leaving my hair soft and tangle free. I have fine straight hair and can use this without a need for an additional detangler or conditioner. I've also used this as a body wash and love the fact that it is multi-purpose. This is the best all in one shower soap I've ever tried and would be great in a minimalists travel case. No eyebrow raising ingredients. Smells good too. Expensive, yes. But worth it in my opinion. Top quality. Wish it came in a shower-friendly bottle with an orifice reducer or squeeze top, as you have to unscrew the lid and pour it out.

Desert Essence Organic Green Apple & Ginger Shampoo 8 oz ( Multi-Pack)

I don't agree with the other reviewer, as I have longish hair and I find this product thickens and adds a lot of volume to my hair. It has been really great for my skin too, as other shampoos irritate my scalp and lead to breakouts. Love the apple smell. My ONE and only issue with this is that it does dry my hair quite badly, so I have to be sure to use the companion conditioner. I believe it may be the aloe, as aloe is very drying to some people, like me. Yet, for the natural ingredients and healthier skin I get, I just switch to Fat Hair (100% vegan) shampoo and conditioner for a day or two and then go back to Desert Essence. That seems to take care of it for a while. I have extremely sensitive skin and fine, naturally curly hair. Because of my allergies and sensitivities, I cannot use a lot of OTC products. I wash my face with plain water in the morning and pure honey in the evening. Because those things don't help with oil buildup in my eyebrows and lashes, I sometimes use this shampoo very sparingly on my brows and lashes to help with the oil. It has worked well, although I do need to watch the dryness.

One caveat: I talked my Mom into using this shampoo and she didn't like it. She did not get the conditioner and her hair got badly dried. She dyes her hair and this shampoo also stripped out the hair dye. It gets your hair VERY clean. So, if you use it, get the companion conditioner too.

This product works well for short fine hair long/ thick hair it does not work as well. But for the short fine it worked great.

Purpose Gentle Cleansing Wash, 6-Ounce Pump Bottle

I have very dry skin that breaks out due to the dryness. My doctor recommended I use this product and since I have started using it, I have not had one single breakout. And my skin feels refreshed, renewed, and all my dry patches are gone. I have tried everything, Cetaphil, Neutrogena, Clean and Clear, Dove, Oil of Olay, and the list goes on, but this is by far, hands down the best product for my skin and it does not break the bank. I wish I had known about this much sooner. I am EXTREMELY satisfied with this product. It may not be for everyone, but even my husband who has oily skin loves it as well. I am hoping they can come out with a bodywash.

The label is so simple and non-descript that I would have just ignored it on the shelves. Honestly, I probably have.

I have been battling blemishes and acne ever since high school. I've tried expensive face washes, whole face wash product lines (ProActive, Murad), and some of the trendier face washes such as Zihr.

I had a severe breakout on my forehead and nothing would help clear it up. After just using Purpose for about a week, you can't even tell that I had much of anything on my forehead! It doesn't leave my face insanely dry. I still put on some light oil-free SPF 15 lotion for my face, though.

I'm a male in my early 20's, and I've been battling mild acne and blemishes since I was a teen. I love this product. At one point I thought J&J was going to discontinue it and so I stocked up. I use it to wash my face and it leaves it clean yet moisturized. Many other cleansers either leave residue on your face or they completely dry out your skin. I've had great results using this cleanser every day.

This is a great cleansing wash that my wife's dermatologist recommended. I just finished first bottle of this wash and I love it. Lightly scented (very feminine), very gentle and cleans well. I use with the Clarisonic face scrubber system and have had great results. Pricey, but you don't need to use much so it lasts a long time. One bottle lasted from March through July and I used twice daily. Definitely better to buy from Amazon than doctor's office my first bottle was $35 and got second on here for much much less. I have combination skin with occasional acne and this wash kept my skin very clear and made it feel softer. Not sure if the softness is from the clarisonic though since I started using both at the same time.

Excellent for what it says. It gives good feel in the skin after using it and has great consistency.

I know you are wondering if a $28 item can compare at all to something that cost nearly ten times the price. The answer is YES! I have the Clarisonic Pro which is the top of the line for their model, so before you spend the money on both, I'll do a side by side comparison for you. Mind you, I am VERY happy with my Clairsonic. Even knowing that this I am happy I made the purchase for both of them, since they are fairly different. Here's why:

Size: The Olay Pro-X is about half the size of the Clarisonic. This is actually better in many ways. It is easier to hold, lightweight, it fits in my shower caddy easily without dropping, you can travel with it very easily. I think this is my favorite part about the differences. It also makes the brush head much smaller, which has a different effect. Of course, the motor is at least half the size as well, and this effects how this feels. I can't actually say it is better or worse than the Clarisonic, it's just different. It is like getting a Sweedish massage (Olay) as opposed to a deep tissue massage (Clarisonic).

Cleansing Products: The Olay cleansing formula has tiny granules and is exfoliating. The Clarisonic cleansers are gels and the specifically say that you cannot use exfoliating cleansers with granules on theirs most likely because the motor is stronger and it will scratch your skin. I really liked the way my skin felt after using the Olay product. I felt sparkling clean and my skin was shining.

Versatility: This is where I love my Clarisonic more. Since I bought the pro, I can use it on my body, and have different size brush heads and change the timing. Is it worth 10x more the price? Not necessarily. The Olay Pro-X has two speeds, you don't really need more than that. But I do love having the option of using the full body brush on the Clarisonic. Also, there is slightly more control with the Clarisonic since it is sturdier, the ProX does slide a bit, though not excessively so. You can still maintain some control with the Por-X though not as much.

Charging: The Pro-X uses two double-A batteries that it comes with. It was a bear to take the battery case off, but once I did it was fine, and it doesn't need recharging that often. I use the best batteries in the world, eneloopSanyo Eneloop 8 Pack AA NiMH Pre-Charged Rechargeable Batteriesand I'm good to go for several weeks. The Clarisonic has a charging holder that you plug into the wall, you don't need to change the batteries, but you do need to find a place in your home to park it for an hour or so every week. I prefer having the double A rechargeable option of the Olay. It also makes it so much easier to travel with.

Please note: It is not that easy to figure out how to install the batteries, and there are no instructions. You might not want to pull open the wrong part of your product for fear of breaking it. I had to call the company to figure it out, and I've had a couple of people email me to ask me, so here goes: Hold the product with your right hand by the top/sides of the handle with the brush head facing down. Keep holding firmly with your right hand, while with your left you pull the handle away from you. The top part of the handle comes off to load the batteries.

The bottom line: I think the Olay Pro-X is a steal. If you are on the fence about which to buy this or the Clarisonic, and you only need it for your face and not your body, you will probably be better off saving your money and going with this! Personally, I am glad I have both. This is definitely worth the investment!

I was looking for something like this but I didn't want to spend $200 on the other brand when I wasn't sure it would work. For $30 I can take a bit of a chance. I have been using this brush since Christmas Eve and I am amazed at how much better my skin looks. At 56, zits and clogged pores that just dodn't want to go away are pretty much on the mend. Imbedded black heads have disappeared. I wouldn't use this more than once a day because it tends to dry out my skin. Hydrate after you use this. In short, I'm really glad I bought this cleaning system. A little instruction about how often to change the brush head would be nice, but I can live without it.

I am mid 20s and have very congested but dry/sensitive skin. No matter how many face cleansers I would use, I would get out of the shower and still my face would have make up and not feel or look clean. I became more and more interested in the clarisonic mia brush (the cheapest model) but that week I saw an ad for this Olay brush. WOW. my skin has not felt so smooth before in my life. my skin is still problematic but I do not experience the awful flakiness that perpetuated my problem skin! when i use my witch hazel toner, there is NO make up or grime in my cotton cosmetic pad. If you want a deap clean, this is for you. I was surprised the brushes are not crazy expensive, but there is no detail on how often they suggest you to replace them. I'll use my own judgement on that. Love that I can leave this in the shower and not worry about it possibly getting wet or having any place where I need to plug it in. Great value if you think about the amount we ladies spend on face products. I love the sample cleanser in the box, a little goes a long way. I may think about purchasing that when it is empty.

I am a regular user of the CLARISONIC Skin Care System 1 ea, so I may be a little biased, but the people who think this is comparable may not have used the other brush.

If you are comparing in cost, it is about 20% comparable for about 15% of the cost.

The motion of the brush head is differentthis one rotates and the Clarisonic uses a sonic pulse.

You have to replace the brush heads in both, and the Olay ones are about half the price of the Clarisonic.

With this brush, it seems easy to tear my face up, and with the Clarisonic it seems nearly impossible. I can use my Clarisonic brush on a daily basis, but I don't feel comfortable using this one more than a few times a week if I was using it regularly.

I also found it surprising that they recommend you use it (it actually comes with it) with an abrasive face wash, when my Clarisonic specifically tells you NOT to use it with abrasive cleansers. I'm kind of cringing at the idea of gradually tearing my face up with the abrasive cleanser and the brush.. not a pretty picture! I guess if you don't have sensitive skin and really need some serious exfoliation its OK??

WaterproofingIt has a gasket on the inside that makes it hard to replace the batteries, and over repeated battery replacements you would kill the gasket. The more expensive brand uses inductance to recharge, so it will never get water on the inside. I think this gasket would probably last you a year if you use the brush on a daily basis and replace the batteries regularly. I've been using my other brush for 2 years. Also, I feel I need to mention it was pretty tough for me to figure out how to replace the batteries. They have about a sentence on it, and it doesn't do justice to what a pain it really is, which is why I think this little gasket will actually wear out from the pressure fit.

I Actually think this brush is better to use on my body than my face because its pretty abrasive compared to my Clarisonic. I'm planning to keep it just for that.

All in all, I think you get what you pay for. If you are willing to make an investment and think a brush for your face is something worth springing for, go for the more expensive brand.

I am a forty-seven-year-old male who has always had raunchy, combination skin, i.e., too oily on my forehead and too dry around my nose, mouth and cheekbones. My cleansing regiment has always consisted of briefly washing my face with a light amount of Neutrogena Original Formula Facial Cleansing Bar and dabbing Clearasil Vanishing Acne Treatment Cream on extremely oily surfaces which tend to break out with pimples and blackheads. I never use a washcloth, which tends to damage my skin, drying it out and making it look worse than it actually is. When I take a bath or shower, I use the Olay Body Ultra Moisture Facial and Bath Bar. It moisturizes and hydrates my skin (and doesn`t leave a filmy ring around my bathtub). With this regiment, I manage to keep my complexion looking fairly decent.

I was skeptical when first introduced to the Olay Professional Pro-X Advanced Cleansing System. How could something so dainty and easy to use have a significant effect on my skin? Men naturally exfoliate their skin when they shave; however, unless they are extremely hairy, men only shave once in the morning and they never shave their foreheads, noses and lips. (We do pluck a lot of hair out of our nostrils.) I was extremely curious to learn if the Olay Cleansing System would improve my complexion.

The Olay Cleansing System (see my posted photographs) came with one light-weight, easy-to-grip handle; one brush head; a tiny sample tube of exfoliating renewal cleanser (0.68 ounces); and two AA batteries. Instructions for installing the brush head and the AA batteries are on the side of the box. The brush head is easy to install by simply pressing it on; it automatically locks in place. The batteries, however, were difficult; they tried my patience. The plastic storage compartment for the batteries is tricky to remove because it is watertight. After all, the Olay Cleansing System can be used in the shower.

I have continued my normal cleansing regiment with the Neutrogena bar and the Clearasil cream. In addition to this, I now use the Olay Cleansing System. In the mornings, I use it before I shave or, if I forget, immediately after I shave. I haven't noticed a difference when I use it. The exfoliating renewal cleanser doesn't dry out my skin. I also wash my face and use the Olay Cleansing System before going to bed. Sometimes, after I've come home from work, and I want to feel clean and refreshed before going to a social engagement, I will wash my face and use the Olay Cleansing System.

The instructions for using the Olay Cleansing System are located on the back of the box. There is the on/off button and the two-speed button. I always use the fastest speed because it gives me a comfortable massage. However, I resist temptation and never massage my face for more than sixty seconds as explained in the instructions. However, I use the Olay Cleansing System on my neck, chest and shoulders wherever there is exposed skin that someone might see.

I never use the Olay Cleansing System in the shower for fear that the rotating brush might strike one of my eyes or get tangled in my hair. (I am not very coordinated and am prone to accidents.) It is much easier for me to look at myself in the mirror when I use it. However, it is nice to know that the handle with the enclosed power source is waterproof; it alleviates the fear of becoming electrocuted.

Because its bristles are soft, I can use the brush on delicate facial features such as my nose and lips. (Haven't you ever had a pimple on your lip? They can be painful.) It is recommended that the brush be replaced after three months. If used sparingly, the trial-size sample of exfoliating renewal cleanser should last a month. At the end of this time, the consumer should know if this product is right for him/her. According to the box, Olay promises to refund the customer's money if he/she isn't satisfied.

Printed instructions are not included in the box. However, if the consumer doesn't wish to keep the box, he/she can do like me and photograph its various sides, using a digital camera, and download the photographs to his/her PC's hard drive or to a portable hard drive. The box can also be taken apart, flattened and the sides scanned into a PC.

After faithful, continuous usage of this product for over two weeks, I was excited to notice a significant difference in my complexion. It had greatly improved. My skin actually felt softer and smoother. It was more toned and consistent, meaning that I had one type of complexion over my entire face in lieu of two or three types. Indeed, I was pleasantly surprised to learn that exfoliation is essential for clean, healthy skin.

If you have skin that is difficult to manage, like I do, then I highly recommend trying the Olay Professional Pro-X Advanced Cleansing System. Clean, healthy skin is priceless. Having clean, healthy skin makes you feel more confident about yourself even if no one else notices the difference. In my opinion, buying a new cleansing system, in hopes that it may improve the quality of your skin, is money well spent. As for me, I plan on buying more of the Olay Pro-X Exfoliating Renewal Cleanser. Because it is so lightweight and compact, I plan on taking the entire Olay Cleansing System with me whenever I visit my parents for the holidays.

Dr. Bronner's Magic Soaps Pure-Castile Soap, 18-in-1 Hemp Unscented Baby Mild, 32-Ounce Bottles (Pac

Beginning 10 or 15 years ago, I started having problems with my skin a kind of itchy irritation on my shins, eyelids and elsewhere. My doctor gave me various kinds of cortisone creams which were effective, but the problem would always return when I stopped applying them. When I researched a bit, I discovered that the most frequent cause of this type of trouble is soap and shampoo! I tried some "extra mild" type soaps and got enough improvement to be encouraged but not as much as I had hoped for. Until finally, I stumbled on to Dr. Bronner's.

Initially, I tried the Almond scented variety. The improvement was quick and complete. I was thrilled, but I didn't really like the scent. That's when I tried the Unscented Baby-mild. Works just as well and no scent except for a barely noticeable "green" aroma. It's almost a year now, and I've not had any recurrence of the skin irritation that used to bother me.

I use it as both soap and shampoo. I am a man and keep my hair reasonably short, but not like I just got out of the Army. After shampooing, my hair is not oily but not dried out. Combs easily without knots. Looks pretty good, I think.

Since it contains no scent and no deodorant, if you sweat you'll smell. Pardon the bluntness but you should know the trade-off you're making.

It makes a nice lather, but it's not very foamy or bubbly. I suspect that some of the chemical additives contained in regular soaps provide this function. It is "thin" rather than creamy. Again, that's probably what other soaps' additives do.

A 32-ounce bottle lasts me, with daily showering, shampooing and generally 1 face-washing, just about 6 weeks. That makes the cost higher than non-organic, non-castile soap and shampoo, but only slightly so. I am happy to pay the difference to get the relief that this product has given me.

If you're going to try it, search Amazon thoroughly. There's more than one listing for this and different listings have different prices, vendors and shipping costs and (occasionally) go on sale at different times, so do a bit of checking before you pull the trigger.

I highly recommend Dr. Bronner's Unscented. I started using it in a spray bottle with baking soda and water because it does not trigger my migraines and when I realized how well it cleaned I started using it to clean pretty much everything in my home.

The scents and chemicals in mainstream cleaners were causing such severe migraines that I could not clean my house. Newer `green' cleaners from Clorox and the like did not help either because of the fragrances. I learned about Dr. Bronner's and gave it a try. The scented versions are too strong for me so I stick with the unscented. Most of my friends like the unscented too because they can add whatever essential oils they need (or are in the mood for) to clean.

Information on the internet for green cleaning is all over the place and there is a lot of bad advice out there. I recommend getting a book on green cleaning that will bring all of the information together check one out from your library or purchase one if you've got a little extra money. For a basic over view of green cleaning I recommend Jill Potvin Schoff's Green Up Your Cleanup (The Green House). For a comprehensive book with a lot of depth, try Renee Loux's Easy Green Living: The Ultimate Guide to Simple, Eco-Friendly Choices for You and Your Home. (I have written reviews on both books.)

The only things I do not use this soap for are washing my hair and doing the dishes. I have really oily hair and the castile soap leaves it very stringy and with a lot of oil in it. I've got several friends who use it as shampoo and they do not have the same problem that I do. I also do not use it for dishes because it is more cost effective for me to get Seventh Generation dish products from Amazon's Subscribe & Save program. I found this product while searching online for a natural product to bathe my children with. I ended up buying a small bottle at Whole Foods to see if I liked it before spending $21.00 on two Giant Bottles. Let me tell you the small bottle at Whole Foods was 8 oz and $6.00 so Amazon has an amazing deal. I was so excited to try it on my kids that I gave them a bath right away. It lathers up very well and rinses very easily. The only downside to this particular variety is that there is no scent really. It kind of has an olive oily scent for a second and then it rinses off. My kids have soft skin after using this though and I have no need to put lotion on them afterwards. I love this and plan on using this for a long time to come. I even used it on myself and couldn't beleive how moisturized my skin felt afterwards. A little goes a long way too my little 8 oz bottle will last a long time afterwards I will definately be buying from Amazon. I just wish they had on Subscribe and Save so that I would never run out. When was the last time you heard organic, good for the environment and cheap in the same sentence? Well this product is all of those things. Even a quick search online will lead you to all kinds of blogs and forums full of people praising this product for it's many uses.

Quick summary: hand and body soap, shampoo, dishwasher detergent, laundry detergent. The latter two are in combination with baking soda and a couple of other natural (and cheap!) ingredients. Just search for Dr. Bronner's uses/recipes. I LOVE this product and cannot recommend it enough.

I love these towelettes. They are bigger than most, and strong, for a thorough hand-wash. The fragrance is amazing, and makes your hands feel & smell fresh & clean. A little more expensive, but if you really want a good, strong wipe, this is the one.

My son has food allergy. When we do not have soap and water I use these to help clean him off before eating or drinking. We used to buy the peppermint version, but this grapefruit is not as strong. I love these towelettes. The scent is refreshing -not "perfumey" -and they are a great substitute when there's no where to wash your hands properly. They are also made of a better quality material than most towelettes as well as being a bit bigger than what you generally find in the grocery store. For normal hand washing I can usually split one with my daughter. Also enough to take care of arms and face if you need a quick clean up when you're out and about.

I loove the scent of these cleansing cloths i keep a few in my purse at all times. They do not irritate my skin at all and my skin is sensitive to heavy perfume scents. I have used these for years and will continue to do so. The scent really is energizing!

I purchased these to avoid the harsh chemicals in so many hand sanitizers. However, it seems like there is no perfect alternative to getting clean hands without using a product that is toxic to something (such as fish in large concentrations) and with the risk of creating drug resistant bacteria. I like that these come in small individual packets and they are ideal for air travel. They are moist and smell refreshing. However, a negative is that the packaging is not recyclable. For everyday outings with the family, I've taken to carrying small washcloths that I've wet with soap and water. They're cumbersome but I don't have the concerns over creating yet another drug-resistant bacterial strain because I can't get to the sink to soap up.

I did a heavy smokey eye look and these wipes worked to remove all the eye makeup in about three passes, with no stinging, and removed every spec. They also seemed to clean the rest of my makeup well too. The problems I had are this: one, they have a residue that left my desperate for a washrag to clean it off. My skin felt greasy and a bit chemically...washing off with a washrag is no big deal afterwards, but if you are buying these to bypass the washrag, think again. For the price, I still like my Sephora makeup remover and a rag that can handle both the remover and a bit of cleanser (I use Origins Checks and Balances). I was hoping this would be cloth free and more refreshing than they really are, so I could use them on the road.

Second problem, these aren't as moist as they could be, so I was tugging at my skin a bit more than I like to use. Just an ounce more of water in the pack would help considerably, and I may add that on my own.

It should be noted though that I had no stinging sensation or reaction to these and I have sensitve skin. Figure 40cents each. I actually tried the Dove ones that had a bit of texture to the cloth and liked them better, but you did have to have water on hand to moisten. BUT, those ones could ride along in my makeup bag individually, which was convenient.

These are the best cleansing wipes I have ever tried. They remove make-up & oil at the end of the day with ease. I have combination skin & as I've gotten older & wiser I've learned that leaving make-up on overnight is a big no-no. Now using cleansing wipes before bed has become my beauty routine. My skin felt clean & soft. Since I ran out, I have tried 2 other brands, but not as happy as I was with these. Worth the money & I will be buying again!

This product is amazing!!! I have had acne/cystic acne problems for 20 years and I have never found a product that works as well as this does. I initially started using the Very Clear Moisturizer for problem skin an really liked the results. I found the cleanser, read the reviews and thought I would give it a try. So glad I did!!!! My face has never been this consistently clear, I may still get one or two small break outs, but nothing like before I used the product and they clear very quickly. I will mention one small issue to potential users; I do not consider this product a make up remover. I still wash my face with my usual Neutrogena grapfruit cleanser to remove my make up before I use this product. In the morning, I simply use it by itself. 10x Mirror/Cosmetic Organizer

The product is as described but the 10x mirror is way more than I need and I can't see out of that side. I will use it, but still need another one with a larger cosmetic tray.

I got this mirror because my vision is poor and it is difficult to see my brows and facial hair. I like the idea of having a small organizer attached.

Although it says its a 10x, I still have problems seeing everything. I think it may be either the quality of the mirror or its just not strong enough for me. The other con is it's also a bit top heavy.

I love this night cream -my cheeks and forehead (my trouble spots) have not felt so soft and supple in years. I used Buzz Away Extreme while teaching a three-week field research course in the Long Island woods in the height of a bad tick season, sharing it with my mother and 2-year-old son who were tagging along. We used the spray on hats, cuffs, and exposed skin before leaving in the morning, and reapplied around lunchtime. By the end of the course, most students and professors had been bitten by ticks, and three had to be treated for Lyme disease. We were three of only five who were not bitten, even though many of the others were using DEET-based insect repellents. We also escaped without any noticeable mosquito bites. Because ours was effective, and a low-toxicity formula, I didn't mind using it regularly, whereas many of those using DEET-based repellents were hesitant to use it more than necessary. I did make sure my son washed his hands just after application. The spray has a strong odor of geraniol, citronella, and mint, but it isn't unpleasant. The wipes don't seem to give as good coverage as the spray, and perhaps don't last as long, but they are nicer than spray around toddler faces, and much more convenient when traveling by plane.
