Shikai - Natural Moisturizing Shampoo, 12 fl oz ( Multi-Pack)

I've used Shikai shampoo for quite awhile now and I really like it. I feel good not using all those "bad" ingredients and my hair always feels and looks nice. I have very long hair and I think this shampoo is the best.

I've used this shampoo for several years after suffering with dry scalp and not finding anything to help. My hairdresser told me to avoid products with amonium laurel sulphate (which most off the shelf shampoos have) so I tried this shampoo, among others, and my dry scalp problem is over. I live in a very low humidity climate so this helped greatly! Love it!

Softsoap Moisturizing Hand Soap W/Aloe, Liquid, 1 Gal Refill Bottle

As a medical doctor, I wash my hands about 50 times a day. Half the time, I use the Sam's Club version of Purell that I buy in the gallon jugs, but when you do that Purell too much, your hands feel sticky with gel residue. Granted, recent medical literature (in peer-reviewed journals) say that you kill more germs w/ Purell than you do with hot, soapy water. But the patients don't complain either way. They're just happy that the doc washes their hands in front of them.

Right. About this product, though...when I used Dial Anti-bacterial liquid soap for a few years, my hands would get really dry and scaly, especially in the winter when humidity is lower. Plus, using Purell gel half the time further dries them. (imagine that, rubbing alcohol drying your skin?). But since I've changed to this stuff, my hands stay adequately moisturized. I bought 1 gallon of this about a year ago, liked it, so I ordered about 5 or 6 more gallons. I think buy.com fulfilled the amazon order at that time.

Also, my jugs of soap say Softsoap aloe vera soap, and now the label online says Softsoap moisturizing soap. They may have changed the formula. I hope not, though. The worst enemy of good is "better"

The other review has a comment on it that says that $17 w/ shipping is too expensive, and Costco has it for ten bucks. But whether you buy it here or there, you're getting a great deal. My grocery store sells the same soap in a 7.5 oz pump bottle for $7.00, and this is 128 oz for $17. I don't need to do the math to know that it's a pretty good deal. (But FYI, you can refill that 7.5 oz. pump 17 times with a gallon)

Oh, yeah. One more thing. If you want to clean your hands, you have to rub and scrub for a bit. Neither soap nor Purell works without being rubbed in a bit. An adequate amount of time to scrub is the time it takes you to sing the "Happy birthday to you...." song. No, I didn't make that up. It's on the CDC website.

Softsoap is the next best thing to sliced bread. I purchased this from Amazon just by its reviews alone and couldn't be happier. I got my hands free battery operated soap dispenser from Amazon and filled it up with the Softsoap Moisterizing Liquid soap. The fragrance is great and the soap is remarkably moisturizing like it says. I am glad I got the gallon size cause the little lady likes it, and after all isn't that whats really important!!!

Soap is good Packaging isn't. If you order this, beware when you open it. If I had of know of the mess that was inside the box I would have opened it inside of my laundry tub and save myself a big mess to clean up. Still trying to get the stain out of my garage floor. Next time I will buy it in the individual containers on sale @ $1.00 for a 7.5oz. container. Will be cheaper considering what was wasted inside the box.

Yup, it's a LOT of soap.

Had a great seller experience to boot!

It was packed really well in a second bag but the lid wasn't screwed on all the way -the lid sealer strip was askew.... anyway, so soap did leak...not much...but enough to get into the box a little bit. It was fine.

I wrote and asked for a small credit or something and they just sent me another gallon of soap. Mon dieu! Now i've REALLY got a lot of soap. It's actually overwhelming ;)

As for the soap itself, it's fine... I've only used it for a few days and I use a number of soaps throughout the house so I can't really attribute much to this one... it's silky when you use it and that feels good, and cleans off easily, so that's good. I think this is a good economical purchase any way you cut it!

It is good for me! anyone buy it need to use it exactly following the instruction, or you will waste it. It really good for deep clean. I recommend to use it one-two times per week, not everyday.

In the past, I wanted my face to feel tight after I washed it. I used foams and gels that lathered to get every ounce of oil off my face. Afterwards I'd burn my skin with alcohol based astringents and salicylic infused lotions. I had acne and was taught that washing your face was just an unpleasant experience that I had to live with.

I saw several dermatologists, and all they did was prescribe me more acne medications. One day I just said "Enough!" and started looking at other options. Manuka Honey Wild Ferns Soap

I didn't expect much from the soap, since really, how long is the manuka honey in contact with your skin if its in a soap? But, as an add-on product with add-on pricing, I was willing to give it a try. And I'm SO glad I did! I really, really like it! Nice, light scent and my skin feels clean but not dried-out. There is no weird squeaky-clean feel (like Castile soaps make it feel), and no greasy residue after rinsing (like some oil).

I would give this soap 5 stars if it didn't have all the chemical coloring. Not sure why they even need those.

I don't agree with the other reviewer, as I have longish hair and I find this product thickens and adds a lot of volume to my hair. It has been really great for my skin too, as other shampoos irritate my scalp and lead to breakouts. Love the apple smell. My ONE and only issue with this is that it does dry my hair quite badly, so I have to be sure to use the companion conditioner. I believe it may be the aloe, as aloe is very drying to some people, like me. Yet, for the natural ingredients and healthier skin I get, I just switch to Fat Hair (100% vegan) shampoo and conditioner for a day or two and then go back to Desert Essence. That seems to take care of it for a while. I have extremely sensitive skin and fine, naturally curly hair. Because of my allergies and sensitivities, I cannot use a lot of OTC products. I wash my face with plain water in the morning and pure honey in the evening. Because those things don't help with oil buildup in my eyebrows and lashes, I sometimes use this shampoo very sparingly on my brows and lashes to help with the oil. It has worked well, although I do need to watch the dryness.

One caveat: I talked my Mom into using this shampoo and she didn't like it. She did not get the conditioner and her hair got badly dried. She dyes her hair and this shampoo also stripped out the hair dye. It gets your hair VERY clean. So, if you use it, get the companion conditioner too.

This product works well for short fine hair long/ thick hair it does not work as well. But for the short fine it worked great.

Well I have suffered most my life with acne and have probably tried every face wash known to man.The last product I tried from another well known company made me have a severe reaction where I broke out in a horrible itchy rash all over my face. My skin has been breaking out horribly for awhile now and not getting better, I have tried every product out there (including proactive) and my skin would get worse. I switched from Neutrogena Pore Refining Cleanser to the Aveeno after I read on WebMD that they felt it was the best facial cleanser for sensitive skin. I tend to have mostly dry, though I get greasy in the T-zone, and sensitive skin. It gets red, tight, and dry if I use harsh soaps.

The Aveeno Active Naturals is a very mild and easy to use cleanser. The foaming action feels good and creates a nice lather. The best part is that it rinses off very easily and completely. Which is a boon for dry sensitive skin.

The only qualms I have about this cleanser is that it doesn't seem to last as long as the Neutrogena and the price is a bit high.

I am 31 years old and was having some breakouts along my jawline and lower cheeks. I take very good care of my skin and see a facialist regularly, but the breakouts kept occurring. A coworker of mine suggested that I try this cleanser because she had success with it in the past.

The product is great! My skin began to clear within 2 days of using this cleanser (in addition to Dermadoctor Emergency Spot Relief Treatment). I'll break out with a blemish now and then when I'm under a lot of stress, but otherwise, I now have the clearest skin I've had since I was 12.

Jafra Gentle Cleansing Lotion, 4.2 fl oz

Excellent line. This product cleans off all makeup. Used Jafra 25 years and never had a bad skin reaction. The only products I will use on my face because I never break out from them like I have using other so-called sensitive product lines in Estee Lauder, Clinique, etc. Anytime I divert from Jafra, I end up with breakouts within four wks.

I have a difficult time finding this cleanser, so when I found the three-pack for this price, I was thrilled. I use this cleanser with Burt's Bees Cream Deep Cleanser, and I find between the two of them I've got a good cleansing balance. I do notice if I use just the Green Tea Cleanser, my skins tends to dry out a little. However, it is fantastic at clearing up and reducing redness of break-outs.

This is an extremely difficult product to find in stores. I have a mild form of rosacea and find this cleanser most tollerable to my skin.

I have been dealing with the blistering type of hand eczema for almost one year now and bought this body wash hoping it would be great. During an eczema flare up it really made it worse but on the non flare up days it didn't bother it too much.

Other than the bad areas on my hands, my skin is pretty normal and this product tends to dry it out. It doesn't leave you feeling silky smooth and it certainly doesn't leave it smooth for long.

Maybe the alcohol content is high in this product compared to others ?

I'll go back to Cetaphil when this runs out.

I had been using Aveeno body wash for years and then I discovered thanks to an Amazon reviewer (confirmed on Aveeno website) that it has a chemical in it to produce suds (same one used in car wash). I switched to Toms and am very happy with it. It is odor free and produces enough suds to wash your body without chemicals.

I've found it hard to find natural soaps that guys want to use. The market selection is pretty limited when it comes to soaps without floral or similar scents. This product fits the bill (no scents) and works great. Although the soap is not as "thick" as other products, it cleans as good as any other soap, foams fairly well and washes clean. My skin doesn't feel as try anymore as well, which I think is due to the soap.

The price for the four pack is what I was paying when my local drug store carried it. They only carry the Lavender version now, so I'm glad to find this online. Will definitely order again.

I really really like this stuff. I was looking for a natural acne fighting mask that would not be harsh on my sensitive skin or interfere with my other acne treatments and this stuff really hits the mark. The ingredients really agree with me and there are no parabens. I use this once a day with my other cleanser and moisturizer and it has been good to me and I will be ordering more.

This is a great mask. Reviva Labs Glycolic Acid Facial Toner, 4-Ounces (Pack of 2)

I ordered this product hoping to get the same effects that I have seen from more concentrated toners (notice, the ad doesn't mention the concentration of the glycolic in the toner). I was wrong. This toner really didn't do anything for me. If you're looking for a really good glycolic toner to get the job done, go with DDF's 10% toner. It's the best, by far, that I have tried.

In addition, the item arrived packed very poorly. One of the bottles had leaked out during shipment so that it was only about 1/2 full.

Overall, if you're not looking for something to really refine your pores and let you know it's working, pay the extra $10 and get DDF. You won't be sorry. This product may be better suited for aging skin; I'm a little on the younger end of those using these products.

Background:

I have had acne problems for 11yrs, have tried many kinds of acne solutions, from creams and antibiotics to laser and light treatments...not saying none of these didn't work, but having acne as a genetic, chronic problem still causes it to come back, so I needed an ongoing solution cheap too! And I wanted to avoid antibiotics..chronic use is unhealthy. I feel like the only thing I haven't tried is Accutane, which at one point my acne was so bad i was recommended to try it by a dermatologist, but I did not want to do it due to the various side effects. I have a friend working at an oncology dept at the hospital and they give Accutane to cancer patients! That's how strong and toxic it can be.

Anyways, back to my point...here's a great way I am dealing with my acne now. Cheap, easy, doesn't require much time at all, and safe.

First step, I use a gentle cleanser like Cetaphil, then use this glycolic acid toner product w/cotton ball dabbing over the entire face, then use thin layer of benzoyl peroxide gel, then lastly, use sunscreen (w/moisturizer) for the day and facial moisturizer at night. Benzoyl peroxide comes in 2.5%, 5%, or 10%, so use the strengths in relation to the severity of your acne. I do this twice a day, when i get up and before going to sleep. I really love this facial toner and would recommend it to anyone, especially those in their 30's and above. It is specially formulated for mature or sun damaged skin. Although I have always been complimented on my skin, I decided to take a proactive approach and take preventive measures. So I tried this product a year and a half ago, and haven't even considered another product since. This is my go-to toner. Unlike many toners, this product is virtually odorless. It contains skin-essential glycolic acid as well as hyaluronic acid both excellent for cell turnover and revealing youthful, fresh, glowing skin among other quality ingredients such as aloe vera and demineralized spring water. I have combination skin that is extremely prone to blackheads/enlarged pores in my t-zone and dryness/sensitivity everywhere else. I was terrified to try a cleansing oil. I have had previous success with Japanese beauty products, and decided to give this a try. It really does what it says it does, and my skin started to look better after consistent use. However, I developed some cystic acne after about a month in a half of use and had to discontinue using it. My guess is that my skin reacts poorly to mineral oil in cosmetics, so if you have a sensitivity I recommend avoiding this product.

I normally use DHC Deep Cleansing Oil, but this is less expensive and it works almost as well. It does a fine job of getting waterproof sunscreen off (Japanese sunscreens stick to skin like glue). When I rinse, however, I still feel as though I have a fine film on my skin, while the DHC cleansing oil leaves a 'soap-and-water' clean feeling without the soap and water. No irritation for my rosacea with the Softymo cleansing oil. Can't complain.

This product works very well on my combination and sensitive skin, better than Cetaphil, I have to say. My pimples are noticeably reduced even in Summer. I like to apply Lancome Cleansing Water for Face, Eyes, Lips after using this cleasing oil.

This is a good product. Having severe allergies to most hair products I was pleased that Le Remouver worked for me, that is before the shampoo became almost nothing but goo. It is so thick with grease that it does not work as well as the previous formula that was in a brownish-mauve bottle and was thinner. The old product cut through oil, hair spray, and polution. The new product, not so much.

I do not need conditioners and would appreciate Mastey offering a choice

of the conditioning product and the oldie but goodie shampoo.
