I'm a male in my early 20's, and I've been battling mild acne and blemishes since I was a teen. I've tried numerous kinds of facial wash and have been using Cetaphil Daily Facial Cleanser for a few years now but it wasn't keeping my face as clear as I wanted so I decided to do research on the best facial wash out there and discovered Purpose Gentle Cleansing Wash. I love this product. At one point I thought J&J was going to discontinue it and so I stocked up. I use it to wash my face and it leaves it clean yet moisturized. Many other cleansers either leave residue on your face or they completely dry out your skin. I've had great results using this cleanser every day.

Clinique Acne Solutions Clearing Moisturizer Oil Free Facial Treatment Products

I LOVE this product. I've tried Proactiv, Philosophy, prescription acne medications (Benzaclin and Tetracycline), the regular Clinique 3-Step, and too many others to list, and the Clinique Acne Solutions 3-step regimen blows the rest away.

The clearing moisturizer is my favorite of the three products as it makes my combination skin very smooth and moisturized, without feeling greasy, and it REALLY cleared up my congested adult acne on my forehead and chin. (I always use the Acne Solutions face wash and clarifying lotion, as well and together with the moisturizer the three products work VERY well together).

From the Acne Solutions line I've also tried the Emergency gel lotion (too drying and irritating), the concealing stick (didn't conceal well), and the spot treatment (works OK in conjunction with the clearing moisturizer to get rid of spots under my skin that are getting ready to show up).

The bottom line is, the Acne Solutions 3-step products work very well for me, when nothing else has worked.

I bought this product with the rest of the kit but in full size. What a disappointment. It irritated my skin so much that I was up all night itching and it became red, dry and bumpy and very irritated. This I am sure is a good product but it didn't work for my skin. I am not usually sensitive to anything I apply on my face and is surprised by the reaction. I chatted with the representative at who advised me that the irritation is unusual and to discontinue. What they don't tell you when you purchase this is that it may not be suited for dry skin with acne as it causes even more drying. All though the packaging says suited for all skin types, it is really not so.

I started breaking out with adult acne after I had my daughter at age 25. I'd tried so many things to treat it and nothing seemed to work, until I tried this. I don't use this in conjunction with the 3 step system (I was, and found it to be too drying), rather I use it as a spot treatment in conjunction with products made for sensitive skin. I apply it to where my breakouts occur for prevention, and directly on top of existing acne and it clears them up fairly quickly without being overly drying. I gave it 4 stars because it's made with 2.5% Benzoyl Peroxide which although is one of the best things to use for acne it also takes some time to adjust to the product. If you are sensitive I recommend using it like a spot treatment rather than an all over moisturizer and I also recommend you buy it at a Clinique counter. That way if you are sensitive or have an allergy you can take it back no questions asked for a full refund. When you're dealing with Benzoyl Peroxide as your active ingredient you need to be careful and start introducing the product SLOWLY to prevent irritation. Good luck!

Luckily, I tried this out as a sample. I have dry skin, and while initially this moisturizer seemed to work, as the day wore on my skin would dry out even worse than before. My skin would get itchy, bumpy, and flaky and it left me very uncomfortable. I have never had this problem with a moisturizer before and would not recommend this product for anyone.

So Essential Himalayan Crystal Salt Deodorant and Body Treatment Stone

I've been searching for a safe and effective alternative to antiperspirant deodorant. Salt has a fairly good reputation for it's cleansing and healing properties so I thought what the heck, I'll give this a shot. Well, I tried this salt stone for over a week and it just didn't work for me. For one, it does sting. The first time I used it was just after shaving (it's not that I'm dumb, it's just that I really do need to shave my armpits at some point). Well, I'm not kidding you, my armpits turned pink and burned for more than a good 10 minutes. The next 2 days -without shaving -weren't much better. I then tried shaving extra carefully and applying the deodorant very gently. That helped, but only just a little. The bar itself is very scratchy and I think I must have been scratching up my underarms with it during applications. I then tried just wetting the stone and rubbing my hands over the bar and applying the salt to my armpits with just my hands. That seemed to work the best in keeping the burning down to a minimum.

But my real problem with this product is that it left my underarms sticky and smelly. Even applying it twice a day didn't help reduce the odor. I'm not an extremely smelly person and I wasn't even doing moderately sweat-inducing activities. I just can't get this product to work for me. I have found that I am better off not using any deodorant at all than to use this stone. I pretty much smell the same whether I use the stone or not, but at least I don't have to contend with sticky underarms as well. I am now searching for another alternative and am going to try the Nourish Orange Deodorant stick next. I think (hope) it will at least work better than this salt stone did. Maybe I can somehow still use this bar in the bath or shower to cleanse my skin so it doesn't completely go to waste. [UPDATE: I like my Nourish Orange Deodorant stick soooo much better, hooray!]

One final note -the picture of this product is misleading. It shows 2 bars with rounded edges. What I received was one bar of medium thickness, with no rounded edges, which probably makes it more difficult to use under the arms. I've emailed the seller (TigerDive) about this but I get the impression they are not interested in correcting the problem unfortunately. This definitely makes me leery about buying anything else from these guys again. This shouldn't be a problem though, because after being burned a couple of times from 3rd party sellers on Amazon, I am no longer buying health and beauty products on Amazon unless the product maker and seller are one and the same and I can verify that the ingredients and product description are accurate.

Although I did receive this product in a timely manor, I was not completely satisfied with the product itself. I would like you to know that I had been using a Thai Crystal before using this Solay Salt Stone. My issue is that It BURNED my skin when applied. I realize that freshly shaved skin and the salt stone are not advisable BUT even on unshaved skin it still burned. I bought two of these-one for a friend. We both threw ours out :(

Yes, this product will sting when applied directly to the skin especially if it's done immediately after a shave. It's rock salt like table salt sodium chloride, as opposed to alum, which is what most of the deodorant and post-shaving stones are made of. If you want no sting, alum is great, and effective. If you specifically want rock salt, alum just won't do. So I was glad to find this. It's true that the bar is just a clean-cut rectangle without the rounded edges shown in the photo. It's quite pretty, though not evenly pink, as shown, but white with pink streaks.

Mario Badescu Acne Facial Cleanser

I've tried a lot of facial cleaners over the years, but this is the absolute best! (I would suggest buying direct from Mario Badescu's website or Ulta it's only $15 there.)

A few months back, I had an extremely stressful three weeks and my skin broke out worse than it had in a really, really long time. None of my usual products were working, so I decided to stop in to Ulta and ask one of the employees there if she could suggest an inexpensive, yet effective product to help clear up my skin and get rid of the acne. She suggested Acne Facial Cleanser (for only $15!) so I decided to give it a try.

Within two days, my skin was visibly clearer and within a week my face was completely cleared up! I've been using it once a day since then and my skin looks fantastic. 6 oz may not seem like a lot, but I've been using the same bottle, for almost 2 months now, and it's still 3/4 full.

I definitely plan on trying out some of the other products in the future!

I have been an Aesthetician (Facialist) and Makeup Artist for 11 years and have had access to all of the best products out there. I must say this cleanser is affordable, effective and full of great ingredients. I use it and it works better than some $60.00 cleansers! It removes makeup without stripping the skin, it smells great and is great for a variety of skin types. I find it especially soothing for acne. I think the packaging is great and it is very affordable for getting such a great quality product.

I don't have a big acne problem but I used to get one or two a month in the same areas. And they were not small. at least until I started using Really Really Clean. I will say that I started using it (the whole anti aging line from Amino Genesis)when I was doing a test trial for an infomercial. The company itself didn't pay us or give us more product for a year like they said they would and the infomercial wasn't made, but I'm now buying my own Really Really Clean cleanser because when I went back to another face cleanser, the acne was back. I recommended it to my 15 year old neice who was having a really bad acne problem. She had tried Pro-active and that other thing that's out there now too. neither worked. Really Really Clean has cleared her skin up tremendously. she looks so much better. I don't know about the anti-aging aspect (I think that's why they didn't pay us because it didn't make us look younger)But it will keep your skin clean and bright.

I put this on, and you know how your face gets younger looking up when it's sopping wet? Well somehow it stays hydrated looking like that even when it's dry. It's so cliche' but it's true. I think the cleaning cream in the kit is fine, step three the age balancing night cream is good, but the real magic is in step two, the age diffusing serum. That stuff is potent. They use something in that that feeds your skin and it FEELS like it---kind of like an alpha hydroxy---but better. Your skin tingles when you put it on and it feels like it's just sucking it up deep into your pores and it seems to make your pores smaller. This kit will probably barely last you a month if you use it nightly but rest assured, if it's going to work for you, you will be convinced within the first few days. The regular size bottles will last you 2-3 months. It's expensive, but so is trying everything on the market (and I have tried a lot of products) and at least you won't have to deal with the disappointment of spending money on something that doesn't work very well, if at all. It smells good (not perfumy but natural, like juice) but to me smell is not a big consideration, I'd put goat urine on my face if it worked this well (that would also be not perfumy but natural :) I hear it's good to switch off and do different things for your skin because the skin, like the body needs a variety of nutrients, so this is a product I may suppliment from time to time, but I will never replace it in my skins diet. I consider it the water of my skin's diet.

I ordered this product from the infomercial. I haven't had this product long enough to know if it works or not but...... The Sheer Lustre Day Moisture has luminescent minerals that make your face shine. The minerals even shine through my foundation which I do not consider a plus.

The moisturizers in this system contain various oils. I think this product contains too much oil for a normal to oily skin maybe too much oil for dry skin also.

My dermatologist recommended this cleanser, so when I saw it on amazon in the professional size, I was so excited! My skin feels great and has finally cleared up. I also recommend the Clairsonic Brush to apply it with. I have typical combination skin. For years I used a foamy face wash, like Origins "Checks & Balances." I never felt clean unless lots of suds were involved. However, I still suffered from monthly break outs. Enough that I purchased some expensive acne creams.

Then I was treated to a facial at a local spa that uses Eminence products. I bought the 4 oz. Stone Crop Gel Wash even though I was skeptical with it's lack of suds. That was in January 2011. It's Aug 2011 now and I've only had one zit in that eight months. I know it's because I switched to this more gentle cleanser. I changed nothing else in my skin care routine or diet.

It has antibacterial properties for those of us who are acne prone; hydrating properties for the dry skinned folks; lightening properties for hyperpigmentation (sun spots, etc.); and great ingredients for those concerned with aging skin, as well as sensitive skin. BodyTools Moisturizing Face & Body Wash, 16-Ounces

First off let me start by saying that this is a very expensive product, especially for a body wash. I received a small Body Tools sample kit, but really enjoyed using the body wash (all the product line was good, but the body wash stood out). It left my dry skin moist, and smelled really great (girlfriend agrees). I believe the Jojoba oil and Kukui Nut are the ingredients that make it great as a moisturizer, and the vitamins thrown in (I don't know how much they help) may be playing a role too.

All in all, I would recommend getting a small sample size to try it out, since $33 is a hefty price for a body wash, but I will probably purchase it again after it has ran out.

Its heavily scented once you rinse with water and does sting a little around the eyes but it does work. I still found that I needed to swipe under my eyes again with a cotton pad after but it did get off a majority of my makeup.

This is the best makeup remover that I've come across so far. It doesn't irritate my skin in any way (even my eyes!!!!), doesn't brake me out or anything like that. I had a lot of problems finding the perfect gentle yet effective cleanser, but i guess my search is done:)

This soap is made with quality in mind! It gives a rich lather and nice feel on the skin. The shipment was fast and the packaging is beautiful. The soap bar lasts for a long time and never loses it's aroma. One of the best soaps I have ever used.

and that's the problem. If you love the scent of sandalwood, I wouldn't recommend this soap. The soap is laced with other fragrances that ruined it for me, and is so overpowering, that in spite of the price of the soap, I, who am pretty frugal, ended up putting what was left in the box in the Goodwill bag. No doubt many people will like this overbearing fragrance, but I, who love the fragrance of sandalwood, did not. Otherwise, as a soap, it functioned satisfactorily. P.s., I'm female, which may account for my review vs. that of the previous reviewer.

This lovely, high quality Sandalwood soap by Caswell-Massey is made of natural, vegetable based products. The soap is triple-milled which means that the soap is very hard and will last a long time. The lather is mild and creamy, leaving the skin lightly scented with this special sandalwood blend.
