I have easily irritated, dry/T-zone mature skin and this cleanser is very nice for my skin. The mild rice (or I've also found before that oatmeal helps my skin too) cleaned but was gentle too. And, it smells nice not all perfumey smelling. I'm pretty happy with it and will buy again.

I got this after learning that foaming cleansers can strip the acid mantle, cause acne, etc. ...but I am not pleased with the results.

After using this cleanser (and the A+ Moisture serum) religiously for the last few months I finally have the skin I've always wanted. Soft, smooth, plump, and happy!!! I have always had dry skin and have a hard time finding a cleanser that doesn't irritate my skin. THis is a must buy product, it has a nice clean fresh scent and leaves your skin feeling refreshed and soft! No drying out one bit:)

Defense Soap 4oz. Bar

I initially bought this soap for my son who is a wrestler to help prevent him from catching anything nasty while wrestling. I tried out a bar first for myself just to make sure it wasn't harmful or irritating to the skin. At the time I started using it I had a small patch of psoriasis on my hand and another spot on one of my elbows that wouldn't go away no matter what I tried, including prescription remedies. After a few days of using this, the psoriasis started going away. I ordered more bars and after a few weeks the patches were gone completely! My oldest daughter had some bad acne on her face and she used a bar of defense soap and it cleared up about 85% of the acne. One of my other daughters got a small patch of psoriasis on her cheek, and we use the defense wipes and essential oils and healing salve and it cleared that up in a matter of days! My whole family now uses defense soap and will never use anything else.

The first time I had a skin infection and was on long-term anti-biotics I also got opportunistic fungal infections. Those were not getting taken care of by standard prescription-level ointments and cream, which was worrying as I was nowhere near close to the end of my anti-biotics. Searching for a way to help get rid of the fungus I ran across the Defense products and decided that since they were made to help stop the spread of some pretty nasty diseases of the skin in MMA, it was worth a try. Within two weeks the fungal infections were on the retreat after using the soap along with an antiseptic wash (which was for the bacterial infection and did nothing against the fungal infection). Once the fungal infection had been abated in two more weeks I went on to use Defense soap and gel with my other shower items. After I got over the first skin infection and had it recur, I used the Defense products and got no fungal infections on the second long course of anti-biotics.

Now I've switched over to the Defense soap and gel (which I use for my hair). After 3 years of use, these products have proven to be effective for what they are: a means of defense against catching and spreading fungal infections. Used alone they help in their prevention, as my second course of anti-biotics demonstrated. While normally allergic to standard fragrances, I have found no allergic reaction to those involved with the soap and gel. The doctor who treated me is an infectious disease specialist and has recommended this product to other patients also on anti-biotic use with good results.

I know the soap is expensive, but it really works on jock itch. I've been suffering from jock itch for years, and so far only prescribed medication would work. I found this soap at my gym, and decided to give it a try. At first, I thought it didn't work, because I used it directly on my testicles and it really didn't do anything. Then I read somewhere that when using antifungal soap, you should never apply the soap itself on the testicles, but rather use it in a lather with a scrubbing cloth then apply. It works...This is the first time I'm not going to the doctor in getting another prescription. I just buy this soap, and it's cheaper on amazon than my gym. So thank you Amazon.

This soap uses tea tree oil, as well as other stuff to fighter germs and fungus. Generally, using soaps with chemical antiseptics is not a good thing for daily use.

I admit I don't think this soap gets rid of BO as well as the Deodorant soaps do, but it does work much better on itchy toes.

What's nice is that some tea tree products have a overwhelming scent, and this doesn't.

I am like all of you guys, my skin is oily during the day, but dry after using face wash. I find this particular product to really WORK on my skin. I am using this with neutrogena's acne free face wash and my acne is less reddening now after 2 days. The moisturizer is one of the best u can get, it is very light on ur skin and u cant even feel it after applying it on. It also has a nice subtle smell on ur hands after using it on ur face. I absolutely love it and recommend it to anyone with oily, but also dry skin!

It is expensive for me but worth every single penny spent and heres why:

-It will last you about 8 or 9 months, thats a tad over a $1 a month, and your skin is worth that and more

-I dont break out or have any reaction to this what so ever

-feels great going on and I forget that there is lotion on my face which i love. its not oily and leaves my skin smooth, goes on well

-the container is good quality and even though it was hanging around for 8 or so months and being dropped and abused it held up :)

after buying this lotion i decided whats the big difference if i buy the walgreens brand that says to compare the ingredients to this product. what a mistake. trying to save a few extra bucks i ended up wasting 6 because i havent picked it up again and i went out and bought another nuetrogena. the generic felt caked on and like i had put on suncreen that was thick and wouldnt let my skin breathe.

I've been using this product since November 2011, and has about 1/3 of the bottle left. I've tried many other moisturizers from Olay Combination Skin Moisturizer (watery consistency, and greasy on my face causing breakouts), to high end products such as Shiseido and Lancome, none of which gave me the same smooth, matte, and oil controled skin as I do with this product. The GOOD:

The BAD:

-Not good for long periods of oil control

Although it's advertised as the combination skin formula, this moisturizer doesn't do a great job of controlling shine. My face (T-zone) get oily 2-3 hours after I've washed it, so I was looking for a light weight moisturizer to help reduce shine. This stuff works well for a few hours and keeps my skin looking "normal" for 3-4 hours. Beyond that and it's not effective. In fact, once the oil production has ramped up, this stuff makes my face look more oily than before. The moisturizer seems to mix with the oil to create a wonderfully glossy look. Not what I'm going for. The good news is that there is no annoying smell and it does a good job of moisturizing.

Recommended: Sure, but there are probably better (though more expensive) products.

Natural Acne Solutions Purifying Gel Cleanser

I've been a fan of burt's bees products for years. The natural aspect is one of the stand out reasons, and also because they're reasonably priced and work well. I've had problems with acne for years, mostly cystic, and now if it's going to happen, it's usually around that 'time of the month' when my hormones are off their rocker.

This cleanser was thinner in consistency then expected, more just liquid then a gel. But it smells amazing -lemony -and it has a nice lather and leaves the skin feeling great. It doesn't feel drying or like it stripped my skin bare like a lot of acne products can. Actually pretty moisturizing, as I don't feel the need to add a moisturizer like I usually would after washing my face.

I like using a combo of products with salicylic acid and benzoyl peroxide. I figure why go with one when you can hit potential break outs with both? This burt's bees cleanser is in the salicylic acid family, deriving it naturally from willow bark extract. It contains 1.0% Salicylic acid.

Also contains beet extract and evening primrose extract. It does not contain sulfates, parabens,phthalates or petrochemicals(as stated on the label).

I have had cystic acne/very oily skin for most of my adult life and been on a myriad of antibiotics, prescription/otc lotions and skin peels all of which eventually lead me back to severe breakouts.

The most effective acne solution I had come up with was Dr. Bronners Lavender and a prescription topical lotion called Duac which is clindamycin and 5% benzoyl peroxide.This still wasn't enough to stop breakouts of every size. I was also was extremely sick of bleaching out all my pillow cases, shirt collars, etc.

A close friend of mine mentioned this wash and I was an absolute skeptic. Salicylic acid had never worked well for me at all. On a whim, I bought it.

I began using this wash, along with the Dr Bronner's and in less than a week all the tiny blemishes that covered both my cheeks/jawline/neck were gone. My face is less red and much softer. The very few times I have broken out in deep painful cysts this wash got rid of them quickly and faster than the prescription lotion. I'm talking, a cyst that usually took months to heal was gone in a week. As a matter of fact, I no longer need or use the Duac. Now that I have been using this wash regularly twice a day for about 3 months now, I have had no cysts! For the first time in over a decade I no longer need to depend on prescription medication to give me the hope of clear skin. And all I have to do is wash my face.

No product is a miracle, diet, fluid intake and hormonal fluctuations can play a large part in your acne so before blaming a product there are other factors to take into account. The skin is the largest organ on the body, try listening to it. Every body is different but this wash certainly works wonders for me.

I had high hopes for this product, but it looks like my acne prevails. Nothing seems work and this stuff just confirmed that. I discovered this in the Mario Badescu salon in NYC where one of their reps suggested I use this for gentle exfoliation and summer acne flare ups. A bottle should last you more than a year if you use the right amount (a tiny dab per wash it lathers very well & glycolic acid is powerful stuff). Massage the lather thoroughly to allow the acid time to penetrate your skin. Use a little more if you have lots of makeup on. I tried DDF and other brands afterwards (of glycolic wash) and none measure up to Mario Badescu's. Your skin stays bright and fresh (from the non abrasive exfoliation), and the product just smells clean (not over perfumed or chemical laden). The glycolic toner will not last you as long, but is a good pairing if you have summer induced acne (minor t-zone/hairline). I recommend getting a salon consultation or reading up on their web page to gauge the frequency of use that is good for you. I consider this a bathroom cabinet staple, and in the fall/winter, I rotate use of it with a more moisturizing wash. Regardless of season, rinse well and always follow up with the right moisturizer for your skin.

When buying this I was skeptical to use everyday as it says its a Glycolic cleanser. I tried it anyway and within a week saw amazing results. I have a few old acne scars and some white spots/discoloration. After the first week of use (everyday), my face was bright and the scars were lightened and the discoloration was even! I couldn't beleive it. I continue to use everyday along with exfoliating pads to help with removing dead skin, to keep skin bright and even. The cleanser is gentle and has no smell. A small amount goes a long way and this will last a long time. I love this and will continue to use everyday!

This set is very interesting I cant get over how great they smell. I really like them both alot. I am for acne products right trying to find the one, and we all know how that goes. The gel works amazing and leaves the skin feeling smoothed and refreshed and not dry. Its also super easy to spread through the face and to wash off. It also helps keep the face from breaking out more. The lotion I like cause it is like lotion but not at the same time. According to the bottle Olive Vitale foaming face wash, which I and many of my friends loved, except it has both Sodium Benzoate and Vitamin C, which we now know forms the carcinogen benzene. In understand that the levels are small, but when it's a daily use item it matters greatly. Also when someone such as myself already has a much greater risk of cancer than normal I don't want to add ANY carcinogens on top of all the ones I can't avoid via air pollution and water etc.... After using this method you might want to apply some moisturizer afterwards. The bottle lasts a long time. It's good for exfoliating when you have to apply self tanning creme. I bought this product for my face after trying it from a local salon. I have oily skin and have ALWAYS had issues with my face breaking out with pimples. The over the counter meds (Clearasil/Oxy) are abrasive. Since I've been using the Dermal Clay Cleaser to clean my face, I've had no issues with pimples and I don't use any other product on my face. This is an absolutely wonderful shower gel! I love the light sudsy feel (you only need a little on a loofah and it goes a long way), and it leaves skin feeling silky and smooth. It has all natural ingredients and the delicious fragrance is derived from fruit oils and extracts. This shower gel smells like an orange creamsicle. I suspect I can answer my own question, posed in the title. PERHAPS Olay is discontinuing these wonderful little disposable washcloths. I have used them for years on my temperamental, sensitive skin, with allergies that react to many products. They are super for everyday use, and even more so for travel. "Age Defying" is such an ambiguous term. Surely this product is not going to turn back the clock significantly for those of us who have left youth behind. But used long term, they go a long way to keeping one's skin clean and healthy. Who knows what age-appearance damage they have helped me avoid? PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE, if anyone from the Olay company is reading this, lobby to continue the manufacture of this really fine product!

This is about the only place I can find these now....they work well but, please be careful, if you have sensitive skin (like me) and only use them a couple of times a week....they really exfoliate! (and they are expensive...you can cut them in half like I do, to save money and paper...)

I first used the Rebalancing Facial Cleanser after having my second child and hormones were making my skin very unpredictable. I grew up with terrible eczema and very sensitive skin, unable to use many make-up and skin care products. Although I outgrew these problems as an adult, they seemed to be coming back with a vengeance after having my second daughter and the glow of pregnancy wore off. The scent is wonderful and not overpowering. It exfoliates and cleanses just enough, never making skin tight or itchy (which is a huge problem for me). WEN by Chaz Dean Summer Mango Coconut CleansingConditioner 16 Oz.

I really like this conditioner, especially the smell...very sweet coconut scent. Right up my alley. It leaves my hair feeling soft and clean. I have very sensitive skin including a dry and itchy scalp so the one downside of this product is that if I use it too often, i notice it tends to not help with keeping my scalp moisturized and not feeling itchy.

I've been using a shampoo and conditioner with tea tree oil which I use when i am not using the WEN conditioner (Organic Health Invigorating Tea Tree Oil Shampoo & Conditioner + FREE Tea Tree Oil Soap Bars by Herbal Authority). The tea tree oil is what you want if you have a dry or itchy scalp to begin with.

I am able to still use WEN 2-3 times week and since I've been using the tea tree shampoo, any dry or flakiness has gone away just about completely. I also use to get small pimples on my hairline which also disappeared once I started using the tea tree products. It works out great because I really do love the way WEN makes my hair smell but if I use too much it starts to work against me.

Final Update!?

1 Month Later: Okay, so I'm still using this one bottle of WEN after over a month. My hair is elbow length, medium thick, wavy, white girl hair. It is very tangly, so I've always combed my hair out in the shower with regular conditioner in. After using this for over a month, I've noticed a DRASTIC difference in hair loss. I can't believe it, because I read some reviews that said it causes hair loss, but I've experienced the opposite. I was used to losing a good bit of hair, each time I washed (every other day), but in the last 3 weeks, it has come down to just 2 or 3 hairs, as opposed to about 20. I think the people that experienced hair loss, we're just not use to combing out their hair in the shower, and seeing how much they were actually losing all along. Anyway... My hair looks amazing. It's soft, silky, smooth, and it moves around a lot. I have volume, and it's less tangly. IF your hair is oily after using WEN, you've used it wrong. You have to add water as you scrub, and you have to rinse it REALLY well, and that my friend will not happen again, unless you got the wrong kind for your hair. The trick to detangling is to wait until you're rinsing to comb out your hair. The water helps detangle. Don't even try to comb it right when you just scrubbed it; wait until it's time to rinse, after it's absorb into the hair. I also am not using as much as the directions say, because I still have 1/4 bottle left, and it should all be gone by now. I am loving this product, so I've just ordered more in a different flavor. Hope it is as great. I highly recommend this product after over a month of steady use I have nothing but good things to say.

3 Weeks Later:

I have used this product for 3 weeks, every other day, and I think I'm gonna keep ordering. My hair looks great, and feels healthy. I bought the L'Oreal cleansing conditioner to compare, and I just used it today. It's a great product if you can't afford WEN, but WEN is superior. It just doesn't quite smooth and detangle as well. I have not noticed a build up on my scalp or hair loss... I think rinsing extremely well is key with these cleansing conditioners. My hair is wavy, and when I let it dry natural, I have more definition to my waves. I have noticed more fly-aways around my part, but that may just be new hair growth since my scalp is more healthy. My hair is consistently smooth and very soft when I blow dry it. It's almost like this product performs off of heat. The key is figuring out how much product to use, how much to scrub and lather, and how long to rinse. I have had a very good experience. I think the people who claim to have greasy hair, are not scrubbing or rinsing long enough. I recommend this product. I'll try to keep you updated!

First Use:

So I waited for days, impatiently, and finally got the package. I jumped into the shower, popped the pump up, pump pump pump... and fail. The pump put out three nice pumps and broke. A spring went flying, and I tried to fix it with one hand... but it wouldn't fix. Long story short, I removed the lid, squeezed out a big glob, and started massaging!

First: Mango Coconut smells divine. I've never tried the others, so I don't know how it compares, but I love it. It's subtle, yet you can smell it when you turn your head. Coconut is light, with a hint of mango, and it's kinda vanillawee too.

Now for the Hair: My hair is almost to my elbows, so, following the directions and using 30 pumps, means I get to use about a third of this lil bottle each time I wash my hair :( Pricey pricey, but thank God, it actually works. I have always had tangly hair. It's not to thick, not to thin, but the strands are baby fine, and they tangle. So I already have a comb in the shower. To my surprise it was a little harder to comb out than it usually is with my conditioner in. I was a little worried that it wasn't going to do the trick.

First thing I noticed, when I was letting it sit, and bathing... I looked down and saw a section of hair form into a perfect ringlet. Now, my hair is wavy, but never ringlets. So I knew something was happening. I rinsed, jumped out, towel dried, and it definitely seemed curlier than normal. But I wanted to make sure it wasn't going to be all goopy and oily, so I blow dried it. OH MY!!! My hair looked like it had been flat ironed, it was SO smooth. I could actually see my layers, because my hair had so much movement. It was as soft as my babies hair. I'm actually laying down in bed typing this, and it feels like I'm laying on a satin pillow case, I kid you not! SO, what I plan to do is keep using it, and up date my review after a little bit to make sure my hair doesn't start falling out, or gradually get an oily build up that some complain of. Also, I'm going to order L'oreal's Evercreme cleansing conditioner because I read in its reviews that it does exactly the same thing for a third of the price. And we'll see what happens!

Summary: Worked great the first time, except the pump broke (hence the 4 stars instead of 5).

I've been using the coconut/mango for 3 weeks now and I am amazed. My hair is thick, to mid-back and colored. I have used Pantene 2 in 1 shampoo and conditioner for smooth hair and then the Pantene smooth conditioner for years. It took both to make my hair 'behave'. I was skeptical about Wen. I used the recommended amount at first and found it was too muchand I have a lot of hair. Now I used somewhat less for washing and much less (only one small pump) for leave-in conditioner. It took me several washings to get it just right for my hair. Rinsing well is mandatory. My hair behaves so well! It is smooth, soft and shiny. It is quicker/easier to take care of my hair now! It dries nicer and smells great. Most surprising of all I am losing 2/3 less hair than I was. I thought the amount of hair loss I was seeing was just normal for me. Apparently not! I love it. It is expensive, even on Amazon.

I am of Indian origin and have oily/combination skin. I have tried neutrgena, oil of olay and proactive. Nothing has done the changes I see when I switched to Aveeno. I decided to go with it because a hispanic friend of mine who has similar skin type showed up one day with this radiant face that I asked her what she did to make her skin so clear and radiant. She told me that all she was using was Aveeno moisturizer and cleanser (positively radiant line). I decided to take her advice and bought all three, cleanser, serum and moisturizer. In just 3 weeks I have had 2 people ask me what I have been doing that my skin looks so "glowing". I currently am recommending anyone with combination to oily skin to use Aveeno's line of products. I finally feel content that I have found something that actually feels good after putting it on and really makes a difference. I now love taking care of my skin and dont find it a hassle. I dont have to hunt down "Fair and lovely" cream from the Indian store any more.

Great product. Only thing is in my area Virginia, I cant find the serum anymore. I have been to target, rite aid and walmart and no one is carrying the serum. I have no idea why they are not carrying it. I bought mine a month ago and now cant find it. So online is where I will have to purchase it.

I had heard that Cetaphil was one of the top recommended facial cleansers by dermatologists because it didn't contain soap and other harsh ingredients. I never liked it though because it failed to remove all of my makeup and left my face feeling greasy. So I switched cleansers several times until I found this one. No soap, gets my makeup off, and smells clean. What more can you ask for? It's very gentle too. I have fairly sensitive skin and whenever I switch products my face always breaks out. Not this time though. I think I've finally found my cleanser. :)

The Purpose and Neutrogena liquid cleansers were too harsh for my fussy skin and since I found this I have been giving it to all my friends to try. This product is a great value for the money. It works as well as some of my favorite more expensive brands, like Bliss Fabulous Foaming Face Wash at a much lower price.

Because I have sensitive skin that also tends to be acne prone I am very particular about what types of facial cleanser I buy. This product perfectly fits the bill. It is oil free and soap free and easily removes my makeup without being harsh and drying. Best of all, it leaves my skin soft and residue free. It strikes the perfect balance of keeping my skin supple without aggravating it and causing redness or provoking acne.

Those who do not like heavily perfumed cleansing products will also appreciate this facial cleanser. It has a very light, and neutral scent that is neither floral or medicinal smelling. Because of its gender neutral scent my boyfriend has also repeatedly purchased it after trying it at my house.

I have also tried Aveeno Clear Complexion Foaming Cleanser, 6-Ounce Bottles (Pack of 3), but prefer this product. While the Clear Complexion Foaming cleanser is equally gentle and keeps my acne at bay I find that it is less effective in cleaning away make up.

Overall I am quite thrilled with this facial cleanser and plan on continuing to purchase it in the future.

Aveeno's Positively Radiant has saved my life. I have rosacea plus oily/sensitive skin. I have tried prescription washes and so many over the counter for sensitive or oily skin or rosacea I thought I would never find a healthy cleaning regiment till this.

I use this soap daily in combination with East Cape New Zealand Manuka Honey Active UMF 20+ and Manuka Oil 100% Pure East Cape 10ml/0.34oz to treat adult acne (see my other reviews). The hexagon/honeycomb shape of the soap is not only a nice touch in keeping with the honey theme but it actually makes this soap super-easy to grip. Regular bar soaps slip out of my hand constantly in the shower but not this one! It has a pleasantly mild, natural smell. Of course, you're not going to spend $8 for one piece of soap no matter how cute the packaging or shape, or how pleasing the scent, or how ergonomic the design. What you are really looking to pay for is a super-high quality, natural antibacterial soap. The fact that this one not only delivers on that but provides all the other fun features as well, is what makes this great soap a real winner. It leaves my skin feeling soft and smooth, not dried out like regular soap. Just one of these bars has lasted six months of daily use (1-2 showers per day) so it's a great value. I just bought my second bar and plan on buying this stuff for as long as they make it!

This soap combines great sudsing with a wonderful pure honey fragrance. It is so easy to handle in the shower because of the shape and lasts a long time. I love it!
