Dr. Hauschka Normalizing Day Oil, 1.0-Ounce Box

I've struggled for years with acne and scarring from acne so I've tried a number of products. Proactiv, Murad, DDF, Peter Thomas Roth to name a few. I came across Dr. Hauschka and decided to try the sample kit. I wasn't really a fan of how to apply the products (press and roll) because I wasn't accustomed to it. However, it's made me slow down and now I enjoy my daily facial care routine.

Anyway, the breakout star was the normalizing day oil. My skin looked hydrated, my pores looked smaller, the spots dulled then went away. I love it. I've been using it on and off for years because it's so expensive but I always come back to it. Just use a few drops, otherwise you'll be very shiny.The only other thing that clears my skin is birth control pills (TMI?)

I love the smell of this moisturizer. It's sweetly floral, and I look forward to using it every day. It is a little heavier than I expected, the oil doesn't sink in to my skin, and I use only a single, small pump of it for my face, neck, and chest. The theory of why/how it works is homeopathic. If overproduction of oil is your problem a small amount of oil is the answer to balance it out. Like attracts like. And oil acts like a magnet to draw oil from the pores, preventing blackheads. I'm happy with this as a moisturizer, along with the whole Hauschka regimen it's really cleared up my oily, acne prone, sensitive skin.

It's really hard for me to write reviews like this because I genuinely like the product, but I feel it doesn't do as advertised. As a moisturizer, this stuff is great. A pleasant citrus aroma and a formula that leaves a very clean and refreshed feeling after application. However, I have horribly oily skin and did not feel like this "normalized" my oiliness at all. It actually seemed to contribute to the oiliness, especially on my t-zone areas, and putting make-up over it was just a very unpleasant thought. It's also a bit awkward to apply. The oil is pretty thick, so applying it straight to your face would not only have you pulling at your skin but also result in a veritable oil slick. So instead, I put a small amount in my hand, add a few drops of water, rub my hands together, and lightly pat on. You can tell by the feel of it that it's a nice, quality product. I still gave it four stars because I do like it...just don't put too much stock into the "normalizing" portion of the description. I prefer using it during winter months, when sections of my skin are prone to dryness, or treat it as a nighttime moisturizer.

I've struggled with acne and oily skin my entire life, it's in my genes. I've been in and out of dermatologist's offices since I was a teenager. I've been on just about every topical cream you can mention, and I've been on a regimine of antibiotics and two regimines of Accutane. Nothing "cured" my skin. My doctor now thinks I have rosacea! Great... just great...

I've tried just about every skin care product on the market, the expensive stuff and the not-so-expensive stuff. All-natural stuff, organic stuff, stuff loaded with chemicals, clay masks, salicylic acid, tea-tree oil, benzoyl peroxide. I've tried eliminating foods from my diet, drinking tons of water... dietary supplements, vitamins. nothing has ever really helped in the long term.

Anyway, having just turned 40, I thought my pimple problems would be over. What 40-year old do you know has pimples??? Me :( I get little pimples all over my forehead (and now spreading down to my neck, for goodness sake!) and the occaisional "white head." And now I'm red as a tomato on most days. The winter is the worst. I've been at my wits end for months now. I get so frustrated with my skin I wind up scrubbing all over, which I know you're not supposed to do as it only makes it even oilier still.

By chance, I just heard about this product while researching Halloween costumes on Instructibles.com. Random, I know--right? After I saw this girl's video, I thought "What the heck, I'll try it. It's just so crazy, it might work."

After just TWO days my skin is noticeably better. I am still a bit red in the T-zone, but the little pimples have started to clear up and I don't have that shiny, shiny face anymore. When I touch my face I can feel a slight amount of oil on my skin but my face doesn't look oily. I don't know if this is going to be the cure-all I've been praying for but I think the logic behind it makes so much more sense than everything else I've tried. Instead of stripping away oils, which makes your body produce even more--counteract it by putting oil on topically! This convinces my body that I don't need anymore! (This is just my guess). It's like sending a memo to my skin saying "It's all good... no need to send more--we've got enough, thanks!" plus the Day Oil has lots of good-for-you things in it too so hopefully it will start fixing my skin.

I know it's a lot of money to spend, but it's worth it. Two-three drops is all you'll probably need and this little bottle will probably last a very, very long time. Think about all the stuff you bought and threw away. If you're like me, you've probably spent lots of time, hope and money on skin care stuff that never worked and you just gave it away or threw it away.

Based on the other reviews, I think this is the solution we've all be waiting for...

The previous reviewer said that the Essential Oil worked for her acne. I find it it so wonderful that the same product was the only product I could turn to this winter when my skin turned really dry and scaly. It is a miracle product.

Don't be dismayed by the way it looks...it is very oily and orange in the bottle. You only need to apply a drop or two. I was introduced to this product when I insisted to a Dr. Hauschka specialist that I wanted something to put on my face at night occasionally. Keep in mind that Dr. Hauschka recommends typically putting nothing on your face at night. The theory is that your skin needs this downtime to recover. The essential oil is meant to be applied in the morning when your own facial skin oils are supposed to be regenerating. I think the idea is that this really good clean oil replaces your own oil which is rising to the surface. I don't know, it sounds a little cooked up to me, but this product is just wonderful night or day. Your skin absorbs it despite its apparent oiliness.

For the record, I also use Dr. Hauschka Quince Cream, Toned Day Cream, Natural Moisturizer and Bronzed Toner which you mix in your palm with a spot of the moisturizer. I am also a fan of their Neem Oil hair treatment. The Blackthorn Oil is also great for massages. Oh, and every night I use their milk cleanser followed by a dab of their eye cream. This is a great line of natural products.

Nioxin Scalp Therapy, System 3 (Fine/Treated/Normal to Thin-Looking)

Anyone who has been struck with fear upon viewing the enlarging area of scalp that appears at the parting line as time marches on, could give this item a try. After several months usage of 3 of the items in the Nioxin system the shampoo, conditioner and the leave-in treatment, my hair seems to be getting thicker. This is not a scientific study and may be a case of wishful thinking vs. awful reality. Nioxin, on both its products and its website, makes no claim to increasing hair growth. But in my case, using Minoxidil [which does work!] was no longer an option as I became allergic to the alcohol-based formula. Minoxidil would have been my drug of choice, but Nioxin may be a good option.

I have always had fairly thin hair, but it has gotten worse with age. I use a semi-permanent color to cover grey, and the entire line of Nioxin products have resulted in a noticeable thickening of my hair. The products are expensive, but since my hair has also changed from oily to dry with age, I no longer have to wash it every day which helps with the budget for expensive hair products.

Firstly, I recommend using this product in the shower. The steam will really open up your pores and help lather the scrub up nicely. This starts off as a exfoliator but then morphs into a milky and really creamy cleanser once it is rubbed in. The brown sugar in this cleanser is a gentle exfoliant (much gentler than the St. Ives Apricot Scrub for instance). I also love how it is gentle enough to be used everyday without having to worry about micro tears in your skin. ALSO, I know this sounds really weird but this product actually doesn't taste that bad. One time while washing my face I got a little in my mouth and it kinda tasted like almond.... :)

I simply love this heavy duty sloughing scrubby cleanser. Make no mistake that this is some wimpy face wash; this is a monster when it comes to exfoliating and purifying the skin. Just because it's all natural doesn't mean it's not potent. The almond paste that smells like sugar coated lemon slices drizzled with caramel is studded with brown sugar and is fantastic for scrubbing the dead layers of skin that make it appear dull or uneven. I actually find myself using this twice a day, few times a week and no longer need to use any separate scrubs. This would probably be little too rough to use twice a day every single day, only because it does such a good job and the sugar bits are large, but they do melt after about 20 seconds so they dissolver away if you don't works them in. Every time I use this my skin not only feels amazing but has a glow and smoothness that can't be match with other product, this really has its own way of working and delivers results like nothing else. I adore using this before applying any kind of mask or in the morning, it makes my makeup go on smooth and even and I never get any irritation or break outs even though this works hard at polishing the skin.

I adore this brand, so far I have tried a few products and they are all fabulous. The lip serum this brand makes is also really good. Overall all the smells and textures from BeFine are so appealing that they can sit in a grocery store next to all the gorgeous fruits and veggies and compete with what they do to me complexion.

I received several sample packets of this exfoliating cleanser in my birchbox and was really looking forward to using it because I am always on the look out for an exfoliating cleanser that works well on my over 30, acne prone skin. However, I found that this cleanser was too gritty for my liking. The sugar and almond particles are very large and I feel that they were aggravating my skin more than giving it the mild buffing that I usually look for from an exfoliating cleanser. I must admit, however, that I was impressed with the naturalness of this product...it definitely seems like something that could have been mixed up in someone's kitchen and didn't have any harsh or mediciney ingredients. In fact, I accidentally spilled some on the bathroom floor and soon after found a party of small ants going crazy for the sugar. For me, however, the harsh feeling on my skin was just too much.

A friend told me about this and i decided to take her word for it. The consistency is gritty but it melts away into a smooth milky cleanser so you can't "overscrub" and you could use it every day. I love this body wash. It is very refreshing and leaves your skin feeling tingly and cool from the peppermint. It foams up just fine when you use it with a loofah, it may foam less than other washes because it is sodium lauryl sulfate free. SLS is a foaming agent used in many products including body washes, shampoo, toothpaste and mouthwash. Some people such as myself are sensitive to it. I used to have terrible mouth ulcers almost constantly, but when I stopped using SLS toothpaste and mouthwash they went away almost completely! I love this product and I'm happy to be able to purchase it on amazon. I have dry sensitive skin and this is gentle enough for me. It exfoliates my skin so it doesn't look so dry all the time. It is also made for dry skin and when your done cleansing it feels very soft and clean.I highly recommend this product.

This is by far one of the best facial cleansers I have ever used. And trust me, like most women, I have used plenty.

While it doesn't appear to do much at first, it does a lot over time. When I use this facial cleanser day and night my skin stays perfectly clear all the time (even during those beautiful times of the month).

The smoothness of this product is really nice and I love the tiny,gentle exfoliating beads as well.

Make sure you know your skin type, though. Stumbled on this here in my endless quest to find a cleanser that both gets off makeup and cleans well, and doesn't irritate my super sensitive skin. In a million years I wouldn't see myself as a Mary Kay product person (seemed like a corny old ladyish line), but I was really wrong and I am admitting it.

I don't like that there is paraben in the product, but it's low on the list of ingredients and in any event you do wash the stuff off, and the rest of the ingredients are impressive. (I have been following my cleaning with this some Weleda Almond Cleanser afterward because it's very soothing.)

The cleanser comes out of the tube in a nice marshmallow like consistency, but when you apply and wet it, it gets milky, not really too lather-y. My skin felt clean after, not annoyed and not too tight. The best part was the next day waking up and my skin not looking bumpy and red which it will if the product doesn't agree with my skin.

This soap was originally recommended to me by my dermatologist almost 30 years ago, due to my extremely oily skin and facial acne problem. However, my gynecologist also recommended it for overall body washing. I have used nothing else ever since. It is by far the best "soap" on the market. It leaves no residue, and is extremely gentle on sensitive skin, and sensitive areas of the body. Epielle 30 pre-moistened Green Tea Cleansing Tissues

I hate having to overpay for wet wipes, doesn't mean I haven't paid top dollar for them. These wipes are the perfect amount of moistness, are very soft, don't dry out your skin and don't dry out in the package. They remove everything a wipe can remove (my clarisonic is for the rest) except for waterproof mascara. Not even my expensive lancome eye makeup remover can remove all my waterproof mascara. All the top of the line wipes I've used work just as well and sometimes not as well. These come in many different scents, Citrus, Green Tea, Cucumber, Aloe Vera & Unscented. Make sure to scour your Big Lots, they carry these in the 30 ($1) or 60 ($2) packs.

I bought two packs of epielle pre-moisened tissues, neither of which were the Green tea kind. I purchased each for $1 so the other reviewer is correct, they are way overpriced on Amazon. They didn't help at all on my face, probably making things worse with my acne. However, because I hate to waste, I decided to clean my dirty bathroom mirror with these, thinking it would probably be a total disaster. Well, I have to say, these wipes should be marketed as mirror cleaning ONLY because they are amazing!!! I've never had such beautiful, streak free mirrors. I'm probably giving someone a great, free idea here, but seriously forget these things if you buy them for your face but go for it if you want beautiful mirrors ;)

Brought from big lots for $1. The cucumber cleansing clothes. They work so much better than those expensive makeup wipes they sale in drug stores. I brought this on a brim and i am impressed. I absolutly love the ingredients very natural. Im telling you if you try these you will not be dissapointed. If you have sensitive skin jus use them to remove eye makeup. I must say i have sensitive acne prone skin and i had no break outs so these cleansing clothes are a winnet on my list!!!

Olay 4 -in-1 Combination/Oily Daily Facial Cloths

I used to love these, but they seem to have changed the cloths that they use recently. The new ones aren't as 'scrubby.' I tend to have dry patches on otherwise oily skin, and these used to slough them off quite nicely, but now they don't do much more than the average face wash. I had been using these for years and will now have to find a new product. Disappointing.

This product works great. I am a little upset because it is not exactly what I wanted, I thought they were already moist wipes with no rinse off but that was my own fault for not reading the description entirely.

Still used them, they work great, smell nice, I cut mine in half because it seems like a waste not to because the sheets are so big.

These cloths are amazing. Just dampen with water and they produce an abundant amount of cleansing foam. I feel my face is thoroughly cleasnsed and all traces of makeup removed. Great when traveling. My face is left smooth ready for my day and/or night treatments.

I am so happy to have finally found an eye treatment product that works that won't clean out the checking account. Not only does this amazing product work wonders for dry eyes but it is healthy and natural. I use the entire dry skin line from Aubrey Organics but if I could afford only one product this very well might be the one I would choose. The product goes on very easily which is nice because the last thing I want to do is tug or stretch the eye skin. This glides onto the skin very easily. It is thin but definitely not runny. It is really the perfect consistency for under eye use. As for results... well, after 2 weeks use my dark circles were gone and the under eye area much firmer. After that (2 1/2 wks) the firmness continued to increase and puffiness has been significantly diminished when waking up in the morning. The moisturization was immediate. I am 28 years old with very dry, sensitive skin so I worried about how I would fare with this product. It has been so wonderful. The packaging is nice because it comes in an airless pump which keeps the product bacteria free and fresh. It has no scent that I could detect and it is golden yellow in color. The Aubrey Organics website says to use it for 28 days to notice benefits but for me it was much sooner! (smile) A wonderful eye cream that actually works for about $20. You really cannot ask for more!

I have to agree with the first reviewer that this cream is amazing in every way in terms of performance, consistency, and purity. The only down side is that the dispenser tends to release more than you really need for just your eyes. However, this was a blessing for me! I found that this cream not only made a difference for my eyes in just ONE use, but by applying it to my wet face and neck after I wash my face, one pump covers it all and I look absolutely radiant. My skin tone and firmness is much improved and still improving after only a couple weeks of use. Thank you so much, Aubrey, for another great product this one is the best yet!

have tried a number of eye cremes/lotions/potions and this is one of the only organic ones available that has been worth trying. I do think that it is moisturizing, but have not seen any change in the texture of my skin.

I have light undereye wrinkling that it did not alter, though the area was soft and never irritated. It has a fairly thin consistency and you have to be sure to shake well before using to avoid a watery mess.

I used approximately half the bottle before giving up on it. That did last quite some time (about 2 months),so it is long-lasting. It just did not do anything other than soften and hydrate.

If you are looking for a great, organic moisturizer you will probably love it, but if you are expecting "rejuvination" in the appearance of wrinkles or undereye darkness, keep looking and best of luck!

I am 28 years old with dry, fair Irish skin and have had uneven skin tone problems for most of my life. My eye area has been the greatest struggle and is the worst offender to smooth skin texture. My skin is really sensitive my pores clog & I break out easily, and it's perfectly happy to turn into an oil slick or start flaking off if I dare to use the wrong product just once. Aubrey Organics Vegecol With Aloe Moisturizing Cream hydrates without clogging my pores or making me a greasy mess. It has a nice, faint natural scent to it. My only complaint is that it doesn't come in a gallon size. It seems I'm buying it every other month, because I use it on my neck & decollete as well as my face.
