My wife loves this product. We don't really get blemishes but She and I use it as an extra face cleanser to really get a deep cleansing after washing our faces. She actually first discovered the product at a dollar store near our house. Bought one container of it. Went back the next day and bought 6 more. She loves the scent. It's very pleasant. Does not smell like medicated pads. She loves how it leaves her skin feeling soft and supple. Leaves skin looking clear. To us both, the Noxzema pads are non drying to our skin which is a plus. My teen daughter swears this is the only face wash that keeps her acne-free. It was recommended to her by her cousin, who also fought complexion problems. Although we live in a big city, I can't find the product in any grocery or drug stores, so am glad that it is sold in the Amazon marketplace. This soap is excellent! I have hard water and most soaps do nothing to combat the dryness hard water causes. But this soap leaves my skin feeling very soft and moisturized. I highly recommend this soap!

I prefer cocoa butter to Shea for moisturizing, however I am very satisfied with this natural soap.

The Shea butter has a mild scent. My skin is soft after using and the soap rinses clean. A very nice product.

I'm a recent convert to natural and organic soaps, having bought them for my daughter who's into all that stuff. Her effusive raves led me to try them myself, and I found a whole new experience. If you read labels, you've certainly seen sodium lauryl sulfate, a chemical surfactant to increase lather, and propylene glycol,a penetration enhancer. These are just 2 of many ubiquitous "soap" ingredients in these petroleum based products that would more accurately be called detergents. You won't find them here, and you won't miss them.

There's 9 ingredients listed on this label, each one recognizable. No need for lather enhancers, as the natural soap ingredients make a wonderful cleansing lather that doesn't dry your skin. This one even leaves my skin "squeaky" clean while still not drying.

This moisturizer is not only great to balance your skin out but I've found that it also helps acne scars heal much faster. I have very dry skin and live in a very dry climate (Colorado in winter, ouch!) and struggled to find a good facial moisturizer for months. Most were too greasy or just didn't last as long as I needed them to. I was suggested to try this product and have found it to be the only thing that works!

Yes, it does smell like tea tree oil but the smell doesn't last all day (only about 10-15 minutes, if you can stand it...I happen to love the smell though) but the moisturizer does! The only thing I could possibly complain about is that they don't have it in a bigger container but the 2 oz. has lasted me for about 3 months and I don't use it very sparingly...

I would definitely suggest this moisturizer for anyone with acne or dry skin problems (my skin definitely has both :-/) and I hope you find it to be as wonderful as I do!

I have had horrible acne for years and I have tried absolutely everything (from medicated acne creams to the drugstore ones) and nothing seemed to be calming it down. I was on antibiotics and birth control but my acne was still rampant! I would baby my skin and not scrub or dry it out too much. I also used a clay mask specifically for acne once a week. I had been searching for a new acne moisturizer a few months ago because my old one had ran out. I love the idea of organic products and paraben free anything so that instantly drew me to derma e! When I bought the moisturizer, I didn't have high expectations for it.

I used to dab acne cream on my face before bed but it would never help my clusters of acne. Especially the acne on my cheeks. I have very long, very straight, very flat, unstyled and uncolored hair.

This shampoo is very good for normal to slightly oily hair. It is not particularly gentle, and is best if used every 2 or 3 days, with a light rinse-off or leave-in conditioner, alternating with a clarifying shampoo. In spite of that, I found that this left little build-up until after the 3rd or 4th day. I did need some leave-in conditioner with each use. Though it claims to be "Strengthening," I would not recommend this for frequent use for fine, delicate, and/or dry hair/scalp. Some of the detergents can be rather harsh for use more often than once or twice a week. It is pleasantly scented, but is not bad nor very strong.

My husband uses this formula from Matrix and just loves it. It makes his thin hair fuller and doesn't make it stick down to his scalp like many others do (he has oily hair). It's just nice for him to be able to get through the day without having to wash his hair twice and this stuff does the trick. I use this in the summer and it really does a nice job getting out the chlorine residue. These are great products and a nice addition to amazon.

I don't know if I like the product or not. It was shipped in a bubble envelope and not a box. The lid broke off in transit and most of the plastic bag that contained the product was filled with shampoo. It's so bad that the plastic bag is also dripping out shampoo.

Clarisonic Mia Sonic Skin Cleansing System

I like the Mia for it's smaller size and portability. My sister has the Clarisonic Plus, but I am much more frugal than she is so I bought the Mia for the better price tag. There are some considerable differences between the 2 products, here are a few:

1) One cycle runs for 1 minute then turns off on the Mia. You are able to set the cycle for the Plus for 1 or 2 minutes. Additionally, the Plus beeps when you are supposed to move to a different area of your face. You can always just run the cycle again on the Mia if it's not long enough though.

2) The Mia is smaller, though the brushhead is the same diameter. The Mia is also much lighter than the Plus.

3) The Mia has a powercord (attaches magnetically to the unit and is waterproof where it attaches), the Plus has a cradle.

4) You cannot use the body brush with the Mia (biggest disadvantage for me, as I didn't realize this when I purchased it).

All in all, if you are just planning to use the brush to cleanse your face and don't need the body brush, then I think the difference between the two doesn't warrant the large hike in price.

Summary:

My skin problems probably aren't going to be resolved by anything short of prescription medication, so all I expected from the Mia was thorough cleaning and maybe some help with blackheads. The Mia's more than met those expectations. I'll be replacing it if/when it stops working and I definitely recommend it if you have the money but don't expect miracles for severe acne.

Details:

I'm Asian (Filipino/Chinese) with a medium-olive skin tone. I consider my skin to be fairly strong toners and AHA products tingle slightly but don't hurt, and I don't have any fine lines or wrinkles at age 38. My skin's very oily and there's a lot of hyperpigmentation. I have severe adult-onset acne due to hormone imbalance milia on my chin, blackheads on my nose, cystic acne frequently on my cheeks and jawline and infrequently on my forehead (gets worse based on my monthly cycle), and infrequent whiteheads anywhere.

My current skin care regimen is Murad at night and a mild bead-type exfoliator during my morning shower, but I'm not very good at sticking to it usually I use the Mia in the shower and just remove my makeup at night.

I've been using the Mia since mid-July more or less once a day, every time I wash my face. Here's what I've noticed:

My skin is still oily in fact, it almost seems like it's *more* oily because the pores are clearer. Not an issue for me since I discovered Urban Decay's Deslick in a Tube (highly recommended if you have very oily skin!)

My pores are much less apparent, especially when I'm wearing makeup. Without makeup they still look pretty big to me, but I'm in the habit of studying my face in the mirror from two inches away. I'm comfortable that they're clear and not visible to others, especially if I blot or otherwise manage the oil.

No or slight effect on hyperpigmentation some darkening has faded, but it tends to fade for me over a few months anyway.

No effect on the cystic acne.

No effect on whitehead frequency or severity.

The milia, which had persisted for months regardless of treatments, creams, and scrubs, are much reduced, both in appearance and amount. I can still see some bumps, but they're not white, and my chin is smoother. I don't feel like a casual observer would notice anything. This was unexpected and AWESOME all of my reading about milia led me to believe that they couldn't be removed by anything short of a visit to a professional, so I'd pretty much resigned myself to just dealing with it for a while.

The blackheads are gone. In the past I had cleared and prevented blackheads with a weekly Biore strip, an overnight mask applied to my nose every other night (every night was too drying), and scrubbing with an exfoliator in the morning. Using the Mia has pretty much eliminated the blackhead issue entirely.

I like the Mia a lot my skin feels cleaner and smoother in the areas I'm not prone to blemishes. It feels sturdy & comfortable to use. Like other reviewers, I'd be happier if it paused every ten or twenty seconds to help with timing the cleaning. That feature's available with the larger Clarisonic, but frankly I don't really want anything larger than the Mia. I've had no problems with recharging the Mia only weekly.

If you decide to purchase, I'd recommend picking up some makeup remover wipes as well; it's alarming how dirty the brush looks when it's covered with foundation, and I got paranoid that all the makeup on the brush wasn't letting the Mia get my face really clean and ended up washing my face a second time.

I received the Mia as a Christmas gift and I love to use it in the shower. I do have one concern though and you who are reading this and thinking about buying one should know: when you charge it (and you're supposed to for 24hrs upon first use)it MAKES NOISE. It makes a small, pulsing, chirping noise like a cricket. This may not be a problem for those of you with big houses where you can plug it in to charge somewhere far away from where you are, say, trying to sleep. But if you have an apartment and don't have that option, argh! Annoying. Otherwise, it is a good product (I just don't know why they thought it would be a good idea to have it chirp annoyingly while it is charging).

I cannot believe the difference in my skin after using the Mia for 1 1/2 months. This winter I experienced extremely dry skin that could not be helped no matter how much moisturizer I used. I experienced occasional blackheads and unsightly pores. My major problem with most cleansers is that I have a mild case of rosacea that does not necessitate special treatment but can result in irritation with strong cleansers.

The only wish I have for my Mia is that it would have a timer to indicate when to move from one part of the face to another. My sister's Plus has that, and she loves it.

The Body Shop Seaweed Purifying Facial Cleanser, 6.76 Ounce

I started to love this cleanser after I stopped using it with water. I use a quarter sized amount, massage it into my face and neck and then use a washcloth to remove it. It leaves my skin soft and supple, and it doesn't overly dry it or leave a strange film. I follow up with the matching Seaweed Day Cream. It's great for removing stubborn makeup (Like BB creams which tend to be waterproof)and doesn't overly dry my combination skin, like many 'acne' fighting cleansers do. Using it like this, I found I don't need toner, either. I am nearly out of my bottle, which has never happened with a skin cleanser before and I am looking for a replacement. It doesn't work overnight but it DOES work.

This product really worked wonders for me, but be aware what works for some won't always for others. I had acne off-and-on for about 8 years, ranging from severe to very little. Most of that time I was under the care of a dermatologist, and all of the prescribed remedies involved a long application process of some cream, usually a Benzoyl Peroxide variant. At any rate, I had to apply more and more as time went on to get the same effect, but in lieu of my acne I began developing scale-like bumps, which I later found out was a reaction to the chemicals.

Long story short, my girlfriend recommended that I try this face-wash. It didn't happen overnight, but switching to a gentle, natural cleanser has given me incredible results. I won't say that this will help everyone, but hopefully this review can help someone else out there.

After a couple of years it's still doing the job. I don't agree with that comment that this leaves a residue, it cleans the face without drying it out. I cannot attest to how well it removes makeup, but this is a gentle cleaner so I tentatively agree that it probably does not do a good job there.

e.l.f. Makeup Remover Cleansing Cloths, 20 Count

These do a good job at taking my make up off. I usually only use it to remove eye make up before / after I wash my face. They are kind of rough though. If I'm not super gentle it makes my skin feel raw. This is my first time trying make up remover wipes though so all of them could be like that. I think I will try a different brand before buying these again.

First of all, the pricing of these on Amazon is ridiculous...you can find them at a local "mart" for 1 buck for a 20 wipe pack.

That said,this is a great product. It smells pleasant and one wipe goes far. I used these four days in a row to remove all my makeup including foundation; 1 wipe did the trick and I probably could have cleaned someone else's face off too.I loved the fact I could use just one of these cloths and not stain another one of my wash cloths.

Unfortunately, the product dried out my oily/combo sensitive skin. The third day it left my skin feeling unpleasantly tight and dry, and the fourth day left the skin on my cheeks and around my nose red and stinging. Oddly enough, the skin around my eyes is fine, and I'll continue to use the wipes to remove only my eye makeup. By the way, I did follow the directions, which indicate you must wash your face off after using these wipes.

If you only wear eye makeup, or don't have fussy skin, these wipes are perfect....just don't order them from Amazon for this stupid high price.

I was worried when I got these that they would be too dry to work well. I'm happy to say that my expectations were wrong, they aren't at all dried out. In fact, the only issue that I had with them was that they were TOO wet. They definitely usable, and I'd rather them be too wet than dried out, but if having too much moisture is an issue for you then these may not be right for you.

I've gotten these twice, and both packages were the same so I assume it wasn't just mine that are this way. Definitely worth it for the price.

Kinerase Pro + Therapy Skin Balancing Cleanser with Kinetin and Zeatin 5 fl oz.

This is a great product I have been using for the last couple of years for my combination dry/oily skin. It does as it says and "balances" my skin out perfectly.

Every time I have purchased this product in a day spa, it came in a labeled box and the tube had a foil seal for protection.

When I received the product it had neither and made me leery of what is actually inside of the bottle. Would have given it 5 stars had it been properly sealed.

This dries out my hair too much and I cannot use it.

This is why the product gets 3 stars. Middle of the road. You may want to verify with Amazon before you place an order to see if they have fixed this. However, the shampoo itself (when you get the right stuff) is great. It doesn't foam too much so I could see how people would use more of it, but you really don't need to. You just have to get used to not having it foam as much.

The smell is heavenly!! I am going to have to drive into town to buy it now since Amazon can't seem to get this one right. :(

I got this 3 pack because this is listed slightly safer on skindeep than other shampoos. It smells great. I love their hand sanitizer spray with the same scent. The shampoo bottles are pretty small but I knew that when I bought them. The consistency is kind of like warming jello, it comes out in liquid gel like globs. My problem is with the consistency because it's hard to spread it around on my head without using a lot of extra shampoo. It foams up fine. It works great for my husband so he'll use up the 3 bottles. But I won't buy it again. It's way too expensive for me to be using 1/5 of the bottle every time I shampoo. If it came in a much larger size for the same price I'd buy it again.

This is the replacement formulation for the old EO Sweet Orange Shampoo. Warning: it is in no way like the original. The wonderful orange smell of the original is almost totally gone, and now that they have reformulated it as a natural product or some such it doesn't really clean my hair nearly as well. I so wish EO still made the old formula -please bring it back, at least as an alternative.

I went to a Mary Kay party and they did skin test on me with another brand and OMG what a difference. It leaves you skin so soft. I highly recommend!

I really like this stuff. It makes my skin really smooth and i can use it several times a week without irritation. I have tried ponds and revlon and olay and none of them are any good compared to this. For the price, it's a really nice home treatment. The only thing better is the susan lucci stuff you can order on line but it's far more expensive and requires equipment, which is an unnecessary hassle. Make sure to follow up the after lotion provided with your own moisturizer to avoid over-drying your skin.

I really like this product because it does help treat break outs but it is not a miracle product but good. What i dont like is that it runs out fast , i used it once daily and it only lasted for 3 weeks :(

I had high expectations for this product after reading a review on Men's Health magazine, but I was disappointed with the results.

I have had moderate adult acne for years now, and I don't remember the last time my face broke up as bad as it did after a couple of weeks of using this lotion, really bad and I hadn't change anything else other than my acne medication.

I didn't mind the smell, it's pretty strong but I'm used to, I really hoped this worked on my face, but it didn't and the weird part was that I had a stubborn small wart on my right thumb for I almost a year and it refused to go away, after trying all kinds of wart removers, it'd always come back.. that was until I started using this Trifix lotion, amazingly after just that couple of weeks I used on my face, some must've spilled over the wart and it started to just getting smaller and smaller, I decided to keep using it on it (it was either that or the trash bin) and now the wart is gone, literally erased!

Not exactly what I bought this for, but I take the results.

I love this stuff.... It works really well on clearing acne. I have suffered with acne since my teens and still in my 40's with breakouts. Benzoyl Peroxide based cleaners worked the best before this product but they "bleach" your sheets and cloths. This product simply works without ruining cloths, sheets, towels...etc... Its only down side is the slight sulfer smell but I love that are no synthetic dyes or fragrance added. I recommended it to my 16 year old neice who loved the results as well... As always Amazon delivers fast...
