For over a year, I have been buying this product every 1 1/2 months. While I still get acne breakouts even with the product, I get maybe 1-3 new breakouts a day on average vs several or over a dozen new breakouts per day when I used other products. I was on dermatologist prescribed kits that cost a fortune and tried a few different antibiotics, and it did not seem to work. I love this product.

However, I noticed the price says it costs $74.99 which is horrendous. At most it should be $41.89 or $50 since the brush is only $20 added value

I buy it at target for $21.89 (without gift brush in package) or cvs for $30 if they are sold out at target. Kmart also has it for $30 but you have to order it online & have them ship it to store. Even Christmas tree store has it for $28-29 if those 3 options are not available/ if they run out.

This product is great and is highly effective. I have worked in pharmacy for 3 years and have seen people spend a lot of money on prescription acne treatments that basically do the same thing but only cost more, especially if you dont have insurance. This strength of Benzoyl Peroxide used to be RX only, but now is over the counter. It is rather strong and I do suggest that you follow the instructions on the package, especially if you have sensitive skin, to "ease into it", even if you are tempted to put it on 2-3 times a day at the very beginning. It may cause your skin to become very dry and flaky, somewhat ruining the benefits. Overtime though, many people's skin gets used to it and then you can increase the application as neeed.

As other people have mentioned this product does say that it is a gel, but in fact is a white cream and does leave some residue on the skin. The good news is that Clean & Clear has just come out with the same product as this in a clear gel!! I saw it the other day at a Walgreens!

One thing I do have to say though, is that someone previous to me, mentioned that this product is the same as the RX product ClidaGel, which is not true. ClindaGel contain benzoyl Peroxide, but it alos contains clindamycin which is another acne fighting engredient. I just thought that I should mention that in case anyone reading this uses ClindaGel.

Overall, this is definately a great product!!!

If you need to get rid of a zit fast, then this is the best out there, in my experience.

I put this on any zit (or blackhead trying to become a zit) that I spy before bed, and it knocks that sucker out. It does make my skin peel a tad, and it will probably do the same to you, so be careful not to overuse. Also, make sure you use a lightweight, oil-free moisturizer as well if your skin is really sensitive.

EDIT: Something else that's great: This product caused old acne scars on my chin to fade very quickly. Acne scars are the worst because even if the zit goes away it looks like you still have it! So this product is great for that as well.

SECOND EDIT: I wrote this review several years ago. I'm now 29 and this product doesn't work the same for me as it used to. So your experience with it may vary depending on how old you are. When I was younger, it was the best! Now that I'm older, I find products with tea tree oil work better for me. Also: beware, this product will bleach any fabric it comes in contact with.

This product works great. I've been using benzoyl peroxide based over the counter acne treatments for at least 30 years and I'm ordering some more right now. But there is a caution that I should remember, but I recently forgot. Benzoyl peroxide is a bleach (they even use it in Asia to bleach flour, just check the label on your Ramen package). It can bleach literally anything. Recently I ruined a new set of expensive sheets and pillow cases, and left a bleached spot on my new comforter. So now I bought a nice set of white sheets and am trying to find a more color fast duvet cover.

I've also figured out what the small white spots in the carpet are. I've bleached out places in the carpet where I figure the residual on my fingers touched it. (I tend to put the benzoyl on as a final thing after the evening shower while at the bath room sink and in the past I generally haven't washed off the residual on my fingers.) I've determined I was picking something off the carpet or I sat down, using my hand to brace me. Poly/cotton blends seem to be more resistant to benzoyl peroxide than 100% cotton. Although completely man made blends in the carpet have been bleached. So I'm not sure there is a hard and fast rule.

This would be good for parents to know and to enforce a 'hand washing' rule after use. Or just keep in mind when you find that really nice set of colorful sheets at Overstock.

I tried numerous products that were for sensative skin or acne skin. Nothing really worked that well. Nothing until now. Here is my routine and I hope you try it if you have found nothing else that works for back acne.

#1 Wash your skin in mild shower water. Hot water seems to make the oily sebum in your pores more clogging. That is just my opinion.

#2 Get a get body wash loofah.

#3 Get Eucerin Gentle Body Wash and clean your skin. This Body wash contains no acne causing ingredients. Also, It does not try out your skin. I know some of you with acne and oily skin have the feeling that your skin is oily then after a shower with acne body washes you feel like you have dry skin.

#4 Use Johnson & Johnson PersaGel with Benzoyl Peroxide after you get done with your shower. Benzoyl Peroxide sloths off any remaining dead skin cells and opens up your pores. This in turn makes your skin clear in the long run. Believe you me, the results I have found using the above routine has given me enough confidence to walk around with no shirt on in a locker room and not feel "dirty" for the first time since I was 15.

One last note. I have found that if you mix the gel with a little bit of water or even apply the gel straight to your skin out of the shower it works even better. The water dilutes the gel so it won't burn at all. Sometimes with 10% Benzoyl Peroxide Max strength it can burn skin. Again, use it on wet skin with a diluted PersaGel and you will be better off because the Gel works just as good and then will not burn at all.

My skin is very sensitive but also prone to break outs in the t-line. I tried lots of different brands and even the same brand's different products (loreal, nivea, olay, neutragena, anew, almay, ponds etc). I didn't try more expensive products (such as shiseido, lancome, guerlain, dior etc) because I don't like spending that much on moisturizers. What I look in a moisturizer is

1. it should be dermatalogically tested

2. and hypo-allergenic,

3. it won't clog pores and

4.to do its job without break-outs.

Within this criteria and within my price range, this product is a good one. I gave this product 5 stars because I'm buying this for the third time and don't have any complaints.

I started using this product along with Neutrogena Extra Gentle Cleanser and Neutrogena On-The-Spot Acne Treatment Vanishing Cream. I can say this regime saved me, thank you Neutrogena! I used to use the Sensitive Acne-Free system but after awhile it just stopped doing it for me. I researched A LOT of products, looking to make sure harmful chemicals and all that were not present and I basically found all three of these products to be some of the best on the market, that are on the cheaper side. This is the last thing I use in my regime and I really love the easy pump bottle. Sometimes it dispenses a little too much for my liking but you can always do a half-pump or whatever your face needs are. It goes on nice and smooth and doesn't leave a dry or stiff feeling after it soaks in. I also like how you turn it to be able to dispense it, then turn it back to close it up; makes it very portable. I actually didn't buy this product off of Amazon, I get it at Walmart and it's about $9 dollars, so this 2 pack on here is a little bit better price. I wished it were cheaper but hey, this lasts me a long time, I'm guessing at least 4 months, maybe more, so that is impressive! To help you gauge the time it will last you, about 95% I wash my face once a day, sometimes I will wash it twice, just depends. But overall, a great product, decent price, doesn't leave my face red, dry, itchy, or stiff. I also like the fact that it is both oil-free and fragrance free! Definitely would reccommend this product 100%!

I have sensitive skin that seems to be becoming more and more sensitive as time goes on. I've tried lots of different products claiming to be great for sensitive skin, but those claims don't usually hold true (they either make me break out or itchy or have scents, etc. in them that are irritating....or are for more mature skin) but this stuff does! It moisturizes without being greasy or causing irritation. I've been using it for about a year now and I've never had any problems with it. Usually lotions will cause me to break out in a purple patchy rash around my mouth, but this doesn't at all. I originally gave this product 5 stars; however, after a few months' of use, I think 3 stars is more appropriate.

This lotion hydrates my face quite well, but I recommend that you only use this at night since it leaves your skin feeling and looking really greasy (and there's no sun protection). It does not make my skin break out, but, even though it says it's for sensitive skin, when my skin gets a little on the dry side it really hurts to put this lotion on as in it burns! Anyway, I still think it's an overall decent product, but I have moved on to new and better products.

I LOVE this product. I've tried Proactiv, Philosophy, prescription acne medications (Benzaclin and Tetracycline), the regular Clinique 3-Step, and too many others to list, and the Clinique Acne Solutions 3-step regimen blows the rest away.

The clearing moisturizer is my favorite of the three products as it makes my combination skin very smooth and moisturized, without feeling greasy, and it REALLY cleared up my congested adult acne on my forehead and chin. (I always use the Acne Solutions face wash and clarifying lotion, as well and together with the moisturizer the three products work VERY well together).

From the Acne Solutions line I've also tried the Emergency gel lotion (too drying and irritating), the concealing stick (didn't conceal well), and the spot treatment (works OK in conjunction with the clearing moisturizer to get rid of spots under my skin that are getting ready to show up).

The bottom line is, the Acne Solutions 3-step products work very well for me, when nothing else has worked.

I bought this product with the rest of the kit but in full size. What a disappointment. It irritated my skin so much that I was up all night itching and it became red, dry and bumpy and very irritated. This I am sure is a good product but it didn't work for my skin. I am not usually sensitive to anything I apply on my face and is surprised by the reaction. I chatted with the representative at who advised me that the irritation is unusual and to discontinue. What they don't tell you when you purchase this is that it may not be suited for dry skin with acne as it causes even more drying. All though the packaging says suited for all skin types, it is really not so.

I started breaking out with adult acne after I had my daughter at age 25. I'd tried so many things to treat it and nothing seemed to work, until I tried this. I don't use this in conjunction with the 3 step system (I was, and found it to be too drying), rather I use it as a spot treatment in conjunction with products made for sensitive skin. I apply it to where my breakouts occur for prevention, and directly on top of existing acne and it clears them up fairly quickly without being overly drying. I gave it 4 stars because it's made with 2.5% Benzoyl Peroxide which although is one of the best things to use for acne it also takes some time to adjust to the product. If you are sensitive I recommend using it like a spot treatment rather than an all over moisturizer and I also recommend you buy it at a Clinique counter. That way if you are sensitive or have an allergy you can take it back no questions asked for a full refund. When you're dealing with Benzoyl Peroxide as your active ingredient you need to be careful and start introducing the product SLOWLY to prevent irritation. Good luck!

Luckily, I tried this out as a sample. I have dry skin, and while initially this moisturizer seemed to work, as the day wore on my skin would dry out even worse than before. I have tried everything with the exception of Aveda products and since I have heard nothing but wonderful things about Aveda products I thought I would give it a try. I purchased the Aveda "Green Science", which is best for sensitive skin and those looking for anti-aging skincare products (I fall into both of those categories). I purchased this set because I am a huge fan of the face oasis moisturizer, love the eye hydrator and thought it might be fun to try the cleansing water again. I have to say, I am very impressed with the way these products work together.

Obviously this is not your tradition 3-step system (cleanse, tone, moisture or spot treat), nor is it advertised as such-but the products all have that ocean fresh scent and all work well together for my oily skin. The cleansing water does not make my skin overly sensitive so that I have to wait hours before applying a moisturizer. No residue is left from the cleansing water that reacts poorly to the moisturizer or the eye hydrator. The moisturizer absorbs well and does not irritate the eye area making it difficult to apply a hydrator to the eye area.

You can really feel the results the very first time you use these. My pores shrank instantly. I am in the process of growing out my relaxer, so have more than one texture, and find that my hair has been really dry. Years ago I had silk sea sponges which I used mainly for applying cosmetics. They lasted well and I loved them. I was down to my last decent sized one when I saw these. I have very sensitive skin and wanted to use these for washing my face. I had just ordered comparably priced sea silk sponges and they were like sandpaper. I was hesitant about ordering again, but am so glad that I did. While these are very soft, they are slightly less silky than my original. They are still quite lovely to use. On the plus side for these is their size. They are larger and you can wash your face thoroughly very quickly and rinse it off with these sponges. It can be used for a soft bath sponge as well.

The sponges came individually and carefully packaged in their own bags with a ribbon. The delivery of the order was so rapid. It was a pleasure doing business with this company in every way. Thank you.

Kinerase makes great products. And this one is no different. However, it is pricey. So, if you're happy with another cleanser, I wouldn't urge you to change.

I have super-sensitive skin that breaks out constantly, and it's a never-ending battle to keep things in check (both the eczema and the zits). Kinerase products help oodles with the skin tone, texture, blotchiness, redness. Some anti-aging properties, and my sensitive skin doesn't react. Which is why I bought this. I like it very much, but I can use Aquaphor --another very gentle cleanser--and get good results for less.

However, if you already use other Kinerase products and want the continuity/synergy of the products, yes, feel free to use this. It's good.

I have always been prone to oily skin, and now adult acne. This was recommended to me by my dermatologist, because of the green tree tea extract, which has natural antimicrobial properties. It has never irritated my skin, and cleared up my acne! I found that most products made for acne prone skin, have salacylic acid. I think this is one of the best cleansers I've tried to-date for my sensitive, dehydrated skin. It is also very effective in removing makeup but does not dry out your skin at all. My skin feels cleansed, soft and refreshed after each use. I would definitely purchase this again!

I've always wanted to try Wen, though can't justify the price, now I don't need to.

I have colored hair and shampoo always fades it, this does not. Furthe, I wash my hair every day, and this product leaves my hair full of body and shine, the color looks new!

When using this product, you have to make sure your hair is wet thoroughly, and worked in well (I use a denman brush). Also, rinse it out really well.

In the description listed for this shampoo is was compared to WEN. so, they had a sale on 3 bottles for one price. I bought this and the hair repair masque. I followed the directions. After the first try, I was thought was not smiling, I thought okay maybe one or two more days of this, each time was followed by the repair masque. ( I kept with this because the shampoo was just making my hair very dry and frizzy) after several weeks, even on and off using WEN in between. I am still not happy. I have tried giving it away thinking maybe it will work better for someone else, no luck yet. (what will I do with those other bottles?)

I have hypoactive thyroid, which means my hair thins. About 2 years ago, I was talking to my doctor about what seemed to be a drastic hair loss. My medication did need to be adjusted, but she also suggested I try a new shampoo/conditioner to help with hair loss, and she wrote down "Nioxin." I was desperate, so I decided to give the product a try.

To be frank, I'm not bowled over by the scent. It has a somewhat medicinal smell, which can take some time to get used to. There is also a bit of a tingle when using the Scalp Therapy that might be a little unnerving at first.

However! I noticed within the first month of use (and I wash my hair 2 3 times a week), I had less hair in the shower comb, and less hair showing up on the bathroom counter. Also, since becoming hypoactive, I've become a "shedder" with hair literally falling out as I stand talking to people. This had started to decrease.

After 2 years of use, the amount of hair in the shower comb is dramatically reduced, as well as the hair on the bathroom counter. I now rarely "shed," and if I do, it's like one or two hairs. My hair is staying on my head!!

When I was a young child, I had really, really thick hair, and prior to using Nioxin, that was becoming a memory. Now, my hair looks really thick and full, and it even feels thick and full. I do straighten my hair, which can cause extra stress, but my hair is still soft, shiny, and healthy. And I've noticed new hair growth! I'm just thrilled with the results I've seen so far. And I now get compliments on my hair something that has not happened in quite some time!

It does take time and patience, but this product can work and work well. Now, if they can only do something about that scent...

I have used Nioxin for years and it saved my hair from ruin. To save money from the outrageously expensive price tag in the salons, I bought this product on Amazon for less than half the retail price.

I used it and immediately I noticed that the strength was weak. The signature strong tingle usually imparted by Nioxin was mild and my hair just didn't seem to look and feel as nice. I didnt experience anything harmful but I strongly suspected that the product I received from the seller was inferior, old or was a generic version.

Since I spent the money already, I used up the product until the bottles were empty. I then went ahead and purchased 2 bottles of the same thing at my salon when they were running a 2 for $50 special. I have to tell you the actual salon formula was visually different. For example the scalp therapy conditioner from the salon had a shimmery consistency not opaque like the product I purchased from Amazon.

The tingle from the bottles purchased at the salon felt 3X stonger and my hair reacted immediately. My hair was fuller, more moisturized and cooperative. My suspicions about my Amazon product purchase were confirmed: I had received an inferior, watered down, old or generic product. In the future I will try to eyeball sales at the salon for 100% authenticity and results.

I purchased this after my hair began falling out everywhere AND breaking off. It was either from a bad straightener (definitely do a strand test before hand) or from weight loss surgery. Either way I would see dozens of strands hanging from the bottom of my hair. It took over a month before I finally saw results. I was on my second set of the Nioxin before it worked.

It is pricey but you are better off getting the larger sizes as the smaller set runs out very quick. It doesn't foam or get sudsy but it does feel as if your scalp is on minty fire. My scalp actually hurt and throbbed the first time I used it for a couple of hours afterwards. It's like listerine for you scalp. The System 3 actually looks like a blue gel version of Listerine. Also, I would sometimes have to use an additional conditioner because Nioxin did seem to leave my hair feeling tangled and dry but a relative who used it (and said it stopped her hair loss too) did not have the tangled hair I did. This relative used it in combo with Biotin and Rogaine. Her hair is noticeably thicker.

It worked for me but it took time and now my hairs aren't on the floor, all over the pillowcase, or on my sleeves. It will still fall out when I am styling with flat irons or generally being rough with it. I also took vitamins, biotin(take at least the 10,000 mcg!!), get your recommended 60 to 75 grams of protein daily and used the leave in spray from Nioxin that should be used daily. Also you may be able to find a better deal at your local discount big box stores or local salons but do get the larger size so you can give it a chance to see if it works.

I ordered Nioxin based solely on the fact that I wanted thicker hair. I'm 25, female, and my hair has been thin for a long time. It is not falling out at an accelerated rate, so I was not expecting much difference in that area. I have been using the whole system everyday for a month now and while the differences have not been dramatic, they are definitely there.

The first positive thing I noticed was some regrowth in/around my widows peak, which I wasn't expecting, so that is pretty cool. I also used to have a very pronounced part in the middle of my head, but I'm noticing that the severity of that is dwindling. I'm assuming since I have regrowth around my widows peak, it is also growing in other places as well. I've also noticed that my hair is growing much faster than usual. Granted, all of this could be related to the fact that along with the shampoo, I am taking a multivitamin and Biotin pill every day, but the system is the root of the change I believe. The one thing that I was hoping it would do was magically make my hair look and feel fuller, which it hasn't done, but I imagine the regrowth would help with that way down the line. I read a lot of reviews that said it takes a long time to really see good results, and I can see why they say that.

There are some perceived "negatives" that I want to address also. A lot of people claim that the leave-in treatment leaves their hair looking greasy, and while I can see that being an issue, it is also easily fixed. BLOW DRY YOUR HAIR. With a brush, especially at the roots. Problem solved. I see a lot of people complaining about a "rash" they get from the leave-in also. It is not a rash; the product is designed to bring blood flow to the surface of your skin. So if you get the product on your forehead and it turns very red very fast, that is not bad, it's merely doing what it was designed to do, only in the wrong area from your application mistake. It disappears in a few minutes so please don't think that the product leaves you with a bad reaction.

As far as the strong peppermint smell goes, I don't find it to be bad at all, but that's just me, I rather enjoy the smell and the tingling sensation it gives my scalp. If you hate peppermint with a passion, it will probably suck applying this to your head everyday.

Overall, I really like the product. It leaves my hair feeling soft and nice, with the added bonus of some regrowth. I think I will have to continue using it to see more dramatic results, which I'm ok with. It is kind of expensive, but the idea of going back to a regular shampoo that doesn't promote any of the things Nioxin does, is pretty much out of the question at this point; I'm too excited to see where this takes my hair... and so far so good!

I really liked this product because it didn't have any harsh chemicals in it, and it smells wonderful. Personally, I didn't notice any significant difference in my skin using this cleanser from some of the others I've tested. For the price, I wouldn't buy it again.

I wanted to start using more natural skincare products and this cleanser is one of the most natural products i could find. You only need a little for each use so it lasts a while and it also has a pleasant smell. If you wear heavy makeup this wont do a great job taking it off but otherwise it is a good product. My acne prone skin has not reacted negatively to it and I have seen some improvement in my skin since using suki products.
