Basis Cleaner Clean Face Wash, 6-Ounce Tubes (Pack of 4)

I've been using this face wash for about 5 years now, but I haven't found it in any stores in the past several months. The face wash is great for oily skin it removes makeup really well and is soap-free, so is good for sensitive skin. We've stocked up and are hoping that Amazon continues to carry it. The price was better than any of the online drugstores as well.

I liked this face wash the first 2 times I used it but after that I found it very drying. I have pretty sensitive skin, especially in the winter, and I found I had to use twice as much moisturizer after washing my face with this or my face would burn the rest of the day. I'm sure it'll be better once the weather gets warmer. In the mean time I am using it sparingly.

I bought some of this face wash at the grocery store, only to discover later on that carries it for a better price. This face wash says it's for normal to oily skin, but my skin can get extremely dry, and I am in love with this product. There's a clean tingle after using it, the smell is fresh and clean, and it's inexpensive. If you have dry skin, I also recommend pairing it with Complex 15 as a face moisturizer afterward. I discovered it on Amazon, and am more impressed than I have been with any other moisturizer.

This is awesome and cheap face wash. Smell isn't overbearing and leaves my skin feeling pretty clean. It is hard to find. I was breaking out and my gf told me to get this. Bought off amazon and arrived in one day using prime. This facial wash is slightly drying though so I suggest you buy a good moisturizer. Would def buy again.

I have tried expensive face cleansers all the way down to the typical grocery store kinds. My room mate in college turned me on to this about 12 years ago. She had the best skin and whenever I would sneak some, I loved the clean smell. I took a break from this cleanser (mainly cause I couldn't find it) and tried others. I wasn't overly impressed with any of them. Recently I came across it on amazon and ordered some. I have been using now for about 3 weeks. Midnight Pomegranate has been one of my favorite BBW scents of a while, so it only made sense to check out the PocketBac of it. Now, the PocketBac still has the amazing sensuality and depth fans have come to know and love from Midnight Pomegranate, but it just didn't seem to stand up to the rest of the line.

For some reason, it just didn't seem to have the same depth as the Midnight Pomegranate hand soap (which I think is the best possible comparison for this product), nor did it last very long. Sadly, this was a somewhat disappointing PocketBac, but still worth using.

Cetaphil Cetaphil Gentle Skin Cleanser For All Skin Types

I've seen 2 different dermatologists, and they BOTH said to use Cetaphil. Every other person I know who has had to visit a dermatologist says their doctor also recommended Cetaphil. I have a rare (and extremely severe)form of Rosacea and have tried TONS of cleansers and I have to say that this cleanser is the BEST!!! Between my medication-induced dry skin and the sub-zero Chicago winter weather, my skin takes a beating. Normally I rinse the cleanser off, but on the worst days, I wipe it off with a soft cloth. My skin is soft and supple now, whereas before, it would flake like crazy. It looked like I had severe dandruff, until you realized all the flakes on my shirt were from my face! Just stay away from the bar cleansers. They are not so good. If you have oily skin, use the liquid cleanser for normal to oily skin.

This is my first line of defense when it comes to skin care.

I have used this twice a day, morning and night, for a good three years and it has dramatically improved my complexion. I believe this product to be a major factor in the number of compliments I've had on the quality of my skin.

As for acne, I would likely still be a rather severe sufferer had I not been introduced to this product. That this cleanser has been able to [very nearly] banish my acne without any harsh chemicals or acids is worth the price of the seemingly expensive investment. It is worth every penny.

Contrary to an earlier review, I find that it works very well (and gently) for removing eye makeup because of the sensitive nature of the skin surrounding the eyes. Carefully apply a fairly generous amount of the product and use a q-tip with a twisting motion to lift it away.

I cannot say how well this works with foundations or concealers as, because of this product, I have no need for them.

I simply cannot recommend this highly enough.

I have a really nasty case with seborrheic dermatitis that has plagued me since I was in high school. Cetaphil is the ONLY thing that I can use on my face that doesn't cause intense flaking and acne breakouts (yes, I am lucky enough to get them BOTH!) I have used this before on my arms and legs, and it didn't make a difference for my KP, but it also didn't make it worse. I decided to try it on my face (I don't have kp on my face, and I don't have acne either) as a nice change because my forehead had been getting oily lately. After several uses, I started noticing tiny little bumps popping up alllll over my face. My face seriously looked like I had goose bumps all the time. I immediately stopped using it, and it took over a week for my skin to completely clear up! For decades I used a plant-based cleanser only. When I tried products that cost money with AHAs and PHA, all they did was make my skin red.

I've been to three dermatologists and all 3 recommended Cetaphil. I buy it at our local drugstore. I buy one for sensitive skin.It even removes your makeup if you put some on a dry cotton makeup remover pad, then pat your eye. Repeat. Takes the make up off. Love the biore nose strips. Even better when Amazon has a coupon! These do a great job cleaning out blackheads. I like to use them before I do a clay mask. The biore patch clears out the pores and the mask shrinks them down!

PROS: The instructions are simple. Wash your face, wet your nose, apply, and wait 10-15 minutes for it to harden. It works WONDERS and it so worth it. I've been using Biore strips for over 10 years now and they perform exactly as they did back in my High School days. Too often products are changed over time and end up not being as effective so it's always refreshing to find a product that works well and hasn't been messed with in the name of saving production costs.

These strips are very easy to use. You simply wash your face, leaving your nose area wet and place the strip over it. Once the strip has dried (10-15 minutes), peel it off your face and be both disgusted and amazed at how much "pore-clogging dirt, oil and blackheads" it removed from your pores.

I have oily skin and large pores that have bothered me since I was a teen. I love these Biore Deep Cleansing Pore Strips because, while I don't get big blackheads, I do get buildup in my pores that just make me feel icky. Using these strips, though, makes me feel like I have some control over my nose's appearance.

The strips are easy to use. You need to wash your face well first; I find the strips work best after a long hot shower or bath, when steam has opened up my pores. The strip is peeled back from it's plastic backing and applied to the nose. You need to make sure it's smoothed over the entire surface of your nose. I sometimes dip my finger in just a bit of water to help make sure that there's enough moisture on the strip to make it adhere well. You can't really leave the strip on too long, but if you don't leave it on long enough, it's just not going to do anything. I tend to leave mine on for a good 15 minutes or so (lwhile I'm getting dressed, combing my hair, or reading a chapter in my current book). When I peel it back, I make sure to use a finger on one hand to press against my cheek and give some tension as I use the other hand to peel back the strip.

On first glance, you might not notice that the strip has done a lot, but if you tilt it just so in the light, you will be able to see all the gunk that gets pulled out of your pores. It's gross and fascinating and effective all at the same time, and after I've used a strip, I can see a dramatic difference in the appearance of my pores. Whether anyone else can see the difference or not, I know that using these strips makes me feel like I look better. I have noticed that if I try to use a strip after just 2 or 3 days they don't do anything (perhaps not enough gunk to grab on to); so I try to use these about every other week.

I do wish the packaging for this product were a little less wasteful (it's a fairly big box considering there are only 8 strips in it), but I don't know that retail stores would want to carry anything smaller because of the theft risk. In any case, I'll keep buying these strips because I love what they do for my pores.

H2O Plus Face Oasis Cleansing Water 8oz / 236ml

I have had mixed results with cleansing water and cleansing oil from different lines. Some add too much oil and leave a residue, some make skin too dry, most don't seem to do anything. I have very oily skin and after a long day of work or after a work-out I prefer not to wash my face with soap but I do like to swipe a toner to remove dirt and oil-or use a cleansing water/oil. Out of all the cleansing waters and oils I have tried, H2O Plus Face Oasis Cleansing Water seems to get rid of the "ick" without side affects.

The consistency is very water-like, and slides out of the container quickly. Like many cleansing water products, you still mix it with water to form the lather. Once mixed it makes a slightly thicker product, but it is not the thick lather that you would find with a normal clear face wash. Because the lather is so thin-I find it difficult to work over parts of my face when using the recommended amount. Additionally, I had friction induced irritation in my sensitive areas-(mostly my chin) while I got used to the product.

I have no complaints about the results, although I have sensitive skin that is acne prone-I never broke out when using this product. My skin was never over dry-and it left no residue on my face. However, I don't feel it made a huge difference in my skin either.

My big complaint is with the price, how much product I had to use in order to make the lather and clear my skin, and the delivery system/package. A large bottle is only 8 ounces which usually runs about $22-$24. This would last me about a month with 1-2 uses per day, usually after work or after a workout. H20 Plus has come out with a new delivery system instead of the shake bottle for this product, but I was sent the older bottle which you have to shake in order to get the product out.

I would recommend this product to someone that is dependent upon facial cleansing waters in their skincare routine but has trouble finding one that is not irritating or leaves a residue.

This is a good product if you pet has skin issues of any sort, especially dry or sensitive skin. It is a little pricy, but I like the fact that it uses a sulfur compound instead of pharmaceuticals, and seems to be more natural. It will tend to dry out sensitive skin, so a follow-up shampoo with baby shampoo or a good cream rinse is helpful. It does control itching and scratching with my pet who has short hair and sensitive skin. The price at Amazon beats the prices at local pet supply stores.

You can really feel the results the very first time you use these. My pores shrank instantly. My breakouts have hugely decreased and even when I do get my couple zits around my period, they are much much smaller than before. My skin is firmer, smoother, more even-toned. I have very sensitive skin and I'm prone to peeling and breakouts. I didn't find this moisturizer very easy to absorb. It sat on my skin like a sunscreen. It wasn't very soothing when my skin felt raw or irritated and it didn't protect my skin from feeling irritated when it was particularly hot or cold. I can't really see the point in spending so much to get subpar results. Garnier Moisture Rescue Refreshing Gel-Cream, Grape Water Extract, Vitamin E, 1.70-Fluid Ounce was very absorbent and pretty cheap in comparison, but I think I'll probably go back to one of the Bioelements moisturizers they've always worked best for me and worth the cost.

I don't use this for the nail functions.So i can't review that aspect. however, as a daily face cleansing and exfoliating tool, this is pretty good for the price. the motor can keep up with a good bit of pressure and the brushes are not too stiff or too soft. The pad I do not like. it discolors once wet and is to porous a sponge to do much with. I use the long brush for daily cleansing and the shorter one for using with exfoliants.

La Roche-Posay Effaclar Deep Cleansing Foaming Cream (125ml) 4.2 Fluid Ounce Tube

I've had skin problems for years both adult acne and cutaneous lupus. La Roche-Posay's Effaclar line is both gentle and effective. It has not cured my lupus, but it has reduced the roughness and blotchiness, and made my skin smoother and more elastic just generally healthier feeling. I use the Deep Cleansing Foaming Cream, the Effaclar Toner, the Effaclar K Acne Treatment Fluid (a great exfoliator) and La Roche-Posay's Anthelios Moisturizer. All are fabulous products.

If you're familiar with Leslie Baumann's book _The Skin Type Solution_, this is one of the face washes she recommends for oily skin. Since I also have sensitive skin (my skin type is OPWS), I was worried that it would be too drying for me, but I really do like this! The foaming action is definitely more subtle than other foaming cleansers I've used, but it suds up nicely and has a light, pleasant scent that is non-irritating.

Since it contains salicylic acid, it's designed for oily and acne-prone skin. I don't have acne (just the occasional pimple), but do have that classic oily T-zone, and this seems to help reduce the shine.

What I also like about this is that it is excellent at removing makeup; when I wipe a cotton pad with toner over my face after cleansing with this, no makeup residue is left on the cotton pad.

Since I am worried about this being too drying, especially as winter approaches, I will probably save this for nighttime use since it does an excellent job at removing makeup, and use something a bit less drying in the mornings.

I can also see this tube lasting a really long time since you only need a small amount of product to wash your whole face. The price is high, but I will definitely re-purchase it when I run out since it works so well.

Very nice, mild, neutral, scentless face wash. Foams well and rinses easily, leaves my skin clean and looking fresh. Only one real complaint: this is a very thin liquid and is absolutely clear. When pouring into a wet hand, it can be tricky to control its flow and tell how much product has been dispensed. If it were a little thicker, or slightly tinted, I feel it would be easier to use. Overall, I will probably buy this again.

This stuff does the job that it's advertised to do and does it well. It cleans incredibly well and gets a high amount of lather with a small amount of the product. I have been using it for a month and a half and it still looks like I opened it yesterday. My skin tone has also noticeably evened out. I will definitely be buying more of this stuff.

This face wash leaves me with mixed feelings. On the plus side, it has a pleasant scent and cleans thoroughly without stripping the face of its necessary oils. On the minus side, the product often turns into a solid within the pump, blocking anything from coming out unless force is applied. Once the product comes out, it tends to splatter and create waste. Desert Essence really needs to rework the formula so the product remains in its liquid state at all times. Once it does that, this will be a truly five-star product.

I switched to all natural products after having a bad skin reaction to an ingredient that's in everyday drug store products. This made my face break out, and become rough and red. On the other hand, my shoulders and back like it. So now I use it for skin clearing body wash. Be aware that this product if very liquidy. It has the same consistency as water, so be careful.

Product left my skin feeling a little irritated and dry after a few uses. I used it once a day, daily and found that this was not going to work for me. Maybe once or twice a week.

Careful as I was I still ended up getting this in one of my eyes...I wanted to scream! NEVER want to experience that again.

Product has a thin consistency and you have to work it up to a lather. Quite a bit gets wasted in the shower.

Bottom line is it was just an ok product. I wouldn't purchase again.

I purchased this because I heard that tea tree oil is great for acne and I have the occasional blemish. I love this product! I am not sure why people are saying the pump gets stuck but I think they have the wrong product. It has a consistency of water but it lathers well. It has lasted a long time and I use it every day. It quickly takes care of any blemish that has decided to appear. It does make my face itchy if I do not moisturize but I just make sure I do moisturize after use. Give it a try! I have been using it for about six months now and my face has never been so clear!

I love this conditioner...and began using it after having gone to the Batia and Aleeza salon in Los Angeles. The gel is also great and highly recommended it. The conditioner helps keep curls in check; I recommend leaving some in (not to thoroughly wash it all out) for it to work even better than it does on its own. A wonderful product and very recommended!

I have naturally curly hair and have struggled all my life to find products that would help my hair with frizz and for my curls to have nice soft ringlets rather than kink wave. I use this with no shampoo (I'm a "no-poo" girl, 3b hair). I use this along with their Micro-Sculpting Gel. I've been tried to talk into changing to other products, no way...I've found what works. I have super thick, shoulder length 2c/3a curly hair and I have finally come to terms with my hair because of the Batia & Aleeza line of products. So, this seller is charging MUCH MUCH MUCH more than the total price from Bed Bath and Beyond. REALLY? I mean comeon.

This soap is the best! It is very deep cleaning, and the nectarine mint smell is lovely. It's fruity without being overwhelming, it's very balanced. I wish that Bath and Body works had more products (e.g. shower gel etc) with this scent, I like this a lot better than Twilight woods and some of the vanilla stuff that smells like donuts.

I bought this on sale and it is really worth it. Honestly having a nice smelling soap encourages me to wash my hands more.

I would definitely recommend this to a friend.

Aubrey Organics: Facial Creams

I am so happy to have finally found an eye treatment product that works that won't clean out the checking account. Not only does this amazing product work wonders for dry eyes but it is healthy and natural. I use the entire dry skin line from Aubrey Organics but if I could afford only one product this very well might be the one I would choose. The product goes on very easily which is nice because the last thing I want to do is tug or stretch the eye skin. This glides onto the skin very easily. It is thin but definitely not runny. It is really the perfect consistency for under eye use. As for results... well, after 2 weeks use my dark circles were gone and the under eye area much firmer. After that (2 1/2 wks) the firmness continued to increase and puffiness has been significantly diminished when waking up in the morning. The moisturization was immediate. I am 28 years old with very dry, sensitive skin so I worried about how I would fare with this product. It has been so wonderful. The packaging is nice because it comes in an airless pump which keeps the product bacteria free and fresh. It has no scent that I could detect and it is golden yellow in color. The Aubrey Organics website says to use it for 28 days to notice benefits but for me it was much sooner! (smile) A wonderful eye cream that actually works for about $20. You really cannot ask for more!

I have to agree with the first reviewer that this cream is amazing in every way in terms of performance, consistency, and purity. The only down side is that the dispenser tends to release more than you really need for just your eyes. However, this was a blessing for me! I found that this cream not only made a difference for my eyes in just ONE use, but by applying it to my wet face and neck after I wash my face, one pump covers it all and I look absolutely radiant. My skin tone and firmness is much improved and still improving after only a couple weeks of use. Thank you so much, Aubrey, for another great product this one is the best yet!

have tried a number of eye cremes/lotions/potions and this is one of the only organic ones available that has been worth trying. I do think that it is moisturizing, but have not seen any change in the texture of my skin.

I have light undereye wrinkling that it did not alter, though the area was soft and never irritated. It has a fairly thin consistency and you have to be sure to shake well before using to avoid a watery mess.

I used approximately half the bottle before giving up on it. That did last quite some time (about 2 months),so it is long-lasting. It just did not do anything other than soften and hydrate.

If you are looking for a great, organic moisturizer you will probably love it, but if you are expecting "rejuvination" in the appearance of wrinkles or undereye darkness, keep looking and best of luck!

I am 28 years old with dry, fair Irish skin and have had uneven skin tone problems for most of my life. My eye area has been the greatest struggle and is the worst offender to smooth skin texture. I have been using this fantastic cleansing product since it was first introduced. About 2 months ago, I couldn't find it at my usual retailer. So I shopped around and no one else carried it either. I am a big fan of the Olay Regenerist and ProRx products. I started using this cleanser and saw a huge difference in my skin's moisture and clarity. Fine wrinkles are diminished and skin looks healthier and younger. Even my dermatologist remarked on it.

I have extremely complicated combination 30 year old skin. I've always had issues with acne (both moderate and nodule), I'm fair and sensitive, thus I scar and burn easily. I started using this product about a week ago. Although I've had to hone my dispensing ability because a little does go a long way, the foam is light and easily rinsed. I've noticed in a brief period of time that (as it's winter especially) my face isn't dry as it normally would be, the areas around my jaw line where I have discoloration from older healed acne (scars) have begun to fade, and I have a lighter more even tone to my face overall. My regular acne isn't exasperated by the product, in fact is helped along because it's not over drying or overly hydrating. The balance is excellent. I will say I've not purchased it online from Amazon, as I purchased it on impulse from a grocery store, but I'll be looking to order it online in the future.

Jasmine Soap

I started buying these in Philly & then yrs later when I was living out in Oakland. They are really good. I tend to like the scent, & the initial price, plus there's hardly any animal fat used in the manufacturing of them. Also, as much as I'm fast becoming a bit of an environmentalist the strictly paper packaging only isn't too bad either as opposed to thick wax paper & plastic. When I get a fireplace or woodstove, the wrapper makes great kindling too.

I just think that the shipping & handling is a bit much. I worked in a mailroom before. It does not take nearly 5 dollars to ship out 2 bars of soap at the standard rate. Sounds like a certain seller is pocketing a little bit more if you ask me. Other than that the product is fine.

The bars were very small and the scent was lacking. I would not have purchased it if I had noticed it was made in China!

I bought this soap from my local Asian grocer. I had created a homemade scrub that smelled like jasmine and wanted a soap to match. The jasmine smell of this soap is there but not very strong. I am used to using Dove, so this was kind of drying to my skin. The packaging is very pretty and "green" as it uses less paper than a boxed soap. Overall, if you are looking for some natural, old fashioned type soap and don't want any strong fancy scents, you may like this.

I thought the scent would be stronger. I love jasmine and I wanted to use these whenever I bathed. As another reviewer mentioned, these smell no different than plain soap. The paper is decorative, though, so I will keep them.
