First I must say that the delivery was amazing. I purchased this on a sunday and I recieved it on thursday. I haven't had this a full month yet but it works pretty well, so far. I am African American or Black if you will. I bought the Alter Ego because I recently moved to a new state that has cold, dry, horrible weather, and hard water. Since being here I had been having HORRIBLE hair breakage. My hair is pretty long and I didn't want to lose it. A friend recommended this to me. African American hair cannot be washed everyday, so I wash my hair once every weekend and I use my Alter Ego. I have seen a drastic change in strength and a reduction in breakage. Although, I must warn this product is VERY strong and you should consult a certified hairstylist/beautician before using this product. When you use this after washing and conditioning your hair, it gives your scalp a severe tingling sensation so don't get scared. I hope it continues to work.

These aren't as organic as some other products, but they are pretty healthy. They work very well removing face makeup, and pretty well on eyes. The wipes smell good and don't burn your eyes like most makeup removers. Over all a good buy!

I bought these because I have dry, sensitive skin and the ingredients seemed great. In my experience, aloe vera, chamomile, and lavender are very good for my skin. However, if you have a sensitive nose to go with your sensitive skin, stay very far away from these. The smell is strong and chemically. It sure doesn't smell like any of the ingredients listed (the other remaining ingredients of note are patchouli and vanilla), it smells more like walking past a perfume counter in the mall or opening up a pack of baby wipes. And since "fragrance" isn't a listed ingredient on my pack, I'm a bit worried at what other ingredients are unlisted.

In terms of results, these left my skin feeling a tiny bit dried out, nothing like most face washes, but not as good as other dry/sensitive skin wipes I've tried. Combined with the strong smell, I won't be using these again.

This product is different than anything I have tried before. It is very thin, almost the consistency of milk. It feels like nothing is on. I'm a make-up minimalist: I use a moisturizer, and sometimes a mineral powder. There is no "product sweating". What I mean is, sometimes a moisturizer/sunscreen makes white 'puddles' when out in hot sun. This product has none of that. It feels really nice on my skin. And the high SPF is awesome. I definitely recommend this product.

Neutrogena Healthy Defense Liquid Moisturizer SPF 50 With Helioplex is my new favorite SPF product for the face. I've destroyed my skin by exposure to the sun, so I do not go out without sunscreen, and this one is an absolute winner for my delicate and sensitive skin. Working in a garden, I often have felt my eyes burn and water with SPF moisturizers flowing as I perspired, but this stuff is great! I have been using Cetaphil Moisturizing Cream with another SPF product on top, either a J&J product, Kinerase, or Kiehl's, but this is better for me than any of those, even the more expensive products. In a small bottle, it doesn't take up a lot of space, and the mixing balls let you know the product is moving around when it's shaken prior to use. The small tip allows for minimal liquid to be dispensed onto the fingers (directions say into the palm, but I use the fingers), so it's not wasted. I am not sensitive to the indiscernible scent and I've not shown any redness or sensitivity to the product. For dry skin, it's definitely not enough moisturizer, but then I've always used the two step approach anyway. I'm hooked AND protected.

ADDENDUM: After using this product for a bit longer, I must add one criticism. It's not always easy to get the lid lined up on the first try and I sometimes have to struggle with multiple attempts to close the bottle. Despite my clumsiness, I love the sunscreen even more than when I wrote the first review and I've discovered that the small size at 1.4 oz allows for taking the entire product on journeys with the NTSB travel regulations, a definite asset for travelers!!

I don't know about the science behind "helioplex" (my mozilla firefox browser puts a red line under the word, that should be your first clue it's a bit dodgy) but this thin lotion is a nice product that feels like it's working. I think it makes my skin look better (and isn't that what these products are all about?) The SPF 50 is great and the price is right. Neutrogena is always great for hypoalergenic products. This one smells a little like my mother's "skin so soft" but the scent doesn't linger.

One of the better high-end lotions (hey, it's high end for me! I don't do the $50+ a gram lotions) I have tried.

Not a bad product but hardly ideal.

The Pros: Light weight and non-oily, it also works well with Retin-A and at the end of an 8 -10 hour day in the sun my cheeks were only slightly pink so there was some definite sunscreen coverage.

The Cons: A bit too light weight and my skin felt a bit dry half way through the day. ( I live in Wyoming a very dry state. In a more humid state this would probably be just right.) Also since my skin was not fully moisturized it stings a bit every time I apply it. I have combination skin so I would really have to re-apply it at some point in the day to maximize it's effects.

For it's price, in my experience, this is as good as a moisturizer can get without being greasy and causing breakouts. I do not have a problem using this in fact I have found it most ideal for travel conditions.

This product is very effective, even with blackheads, but very gentle on skin. I had a trial size that I avoided using because you don't use water (just rub the product on, then wipe off with a cotton pad). It's great during the winter time because it keeps your skin nice and soft without the drying effect of a foaming cleanser or warm chlorinated water. Also very simple and quick to use before bed.

Oh my goodness! I love this cleanser/mask! I bought it last week and I was very skeptical because I have sensitive/oily skin. I used it (the mask) right before I got ready for bed. DDF Advanced Micro-Exfoliation Cleanser

This is the best exfoliation cleanser I have ever used. Have tried many others, but this one really works. . no kidding!!

This is the very best exfoliation cleanser I have ever used and believe me I have used "many"! I like the fact that there are no artificial colors or fragrances with natural ingredients. It works very well with the DDF cleansing system and I use it 2 times a week. It really makes my skin soft and smooth and even reduces pours, (somewhat)! I used this shampoo years ago and it was wonderful; ordered a big bottle this time around, and when I used it, I realized it wasn't the same as before. I gave it a second chance, and still horrible. Didn't clean my hair and left it really tangled (thankful for conditioner...). I compared the current ingredients to those of a travel-sized bottle of the same shampoo, that I bought a few years ago, and the ingredients had indeed changed (for one, they added a formaldehyde-releasing ingredient, which goes against the gentle-ingredients philosophy that Sudzz FX USED to have).

I did purchase this through Amazon, but, because of the Seller's policy of no returns once a product is used, I am out $42.00 on this big bottle of awful "gentle shampoo". Going back to my trusted oldie from years ago, which still works beautifully and gently, Mastey Traite Cream Shampoo...don't know why I strayed, other than I can be a product junkie and like trying new products.

This may work for someone with really short hair, but I do not recommend it for long hair. Also, the scent isn't that great. A bit overwhelming.

Murad Oil-Control Mattifier SPF 15 Facial Treatment Products

My skin is super oily, I could easily start my own 'organic' brand of cooking oil. With all the positive reviews I was really hopeful that this product would work, but unfortunately it fell short of my expectations. Before I bought this product I'd go through approximately 6 oil absorbing sheets a day by the time my work day was over. Now I go through about 4. It does make a difference, but not enough to justify paying almost $40 for.

I have VERY oily skin, especially on my face. I could not even make it half-way through a day without my face getting super shiny and my make-up getting smudged because of all of the oil build-up. I tried many different face washes and moisturizers that were supposed to reduce oil on my face and nothing has ever worked. After reading reviews on this product, I decided to give it a try. I usually would never spend this much money on such a product, but I was desperate. Well, this little tube is a miracle worker. The oil production on my face SIGNIFICANTLY decreases when I use this and my make-up stays fresh and smudge-free all day! My face still does get a little bit of a shine to it throughout the day, but not enough for it to be bothersome or uncomfortable. How to use it:

I find it works best on clean skin, so put it on immediately after you wash your face. A little bit goes a long way so be conservative with it. Some reviews recommend that you first moisturize and then apply the mattifier, but I tried this and it did not work--I still got very oily skin. So I recommend that you do not moisturize when using this product (save moisturizing your face for right before you go to bed at night). For a fresh, even look, apply a foundation afterwards. I recommend the Neutrogena Translucent Oil-Control Powder for further oil control.

Using this product has also significantly decreased my acne. I never had a lot to begin with, but my skin is virtually pimple-free now. If you decide to try this product out, I hope it works as well for you as it does for me!

Camille Beckman French Milled Soap

This is wonderful soap. I love all her Oriental Spice products, but this one surprised me no end. I got a bar several years ago, and the wonderful odor alone would be enough to get me to use the stuff. But it really lasts it's in a bathroom that only has people using it for occasional hand washing, but that one bar of soap is still going strong and is only half gone even now. My husband commented to me that he likes the scent. He said every time he washes his hands with this soap, it reminds him of his beloved grandmother. So it has a pleasant odor and lasts a long time. Etude House Skin Emulsion (Moisturizer) 200ml

I got the sample size of the toner and the moisturizer and after one use I didn't use it. I felt like this product had the potential to do worse than better things for my skin or it just wouldn't do much... one of those two. The smell is REALLY REALLY nice though~~ It's like a smell that's hard to describe; it's a smell that is in many Korean skincare products that I love love love. Because of the smell I really wanted to like this product but the effectiveness, of course, is the more important aspect here. In terms of application, it actually felt quite sticky as I was patting it into my skin. This was the thing that bothered me the most. It didn't have much of a refreshing feeling (not that it had to but just a side note). I was just glad that I didn't end up with a full size because it would be daunting to have to use up so much. The bottles are pretty large. And also, I didn't feel it very very moisturizing. Some may think otherwise but these are just my thoughts on the skin malgem line. I love that this cleaners comes in a large ecomomy bottle because I use it twice everyday for my sensitive skin. Way cheaper than buying it at the salon!

I had purchased this from my dermatologist in a much smaller size and at a premium, so I was happy to find it here In "professional" size. The cleanser is extremely gentle and moisturizing, cleaning skin without stripping the oils or causing irritation. It is the consistency of body lotion, but rinses off well. When I need exfoliation, I add a dab of microbead face scrub, for which the cleanser acts as a buffer. Great product, if a bit overpriced.
