Pelindaba Lavender Liquid Castile Hand Soap

I wash my hands a lot maybe too often (I'm a bit of a germ freak) and keep trying different organic liquid soaps. I was so excited to see Pelindaba made a liquid castile soap with their organic lavender essential oil. It's gentle on my skin and leaves my hands clean and soft.

I use the 32 oz bottle to refill my 8 oz bottles.

Cetaphil UVA/UVB Defense Spf 50 Facial Moisturizer, 1.7-Ounce (Pack of 2)

The CETAPHIL UVA/UVB DEFENSE SPF 50 MOISTURIZER is pretty thick, so all you need is a little dab to cover the entire face.

The product claims to be "fragrance-free" but it smells just like every other sunscreen out there. That "sunscreen" plastic scent is really strong at first, but it went away after about 3-5 minutes or so.

I found the cream left a shiny-sheen on my face, though it wasn't oily and it's supposed to be "non-greasy," but I definitely had some shine going on.

Another thing I noticed was the thick-white color of the CETAPHIL UVA/UVB cream--probably from the titanium-dioxide--left my face with an ashen(ashy) color and I have very light olive-colored skin. But I've seen this happen with other sunscreens out there with an SPF higher than 25, so it's not unusual. But if you're dark-complected it can be a problem. Even if you aren't, these thick sunscreens start to cake after reapplying and then turn white with perspiration so be forewarned.

It's not bad for the higher SPF--especially if you're going to be out in the sun like at a parade or ball game or something--but I find the CETAPHIL UVA/UVB MOISTURIZER to be just average.

The small 1.7 oz size is handy to carry around in a purse or pocket, but it's not so good at the current price! You can get the same amount of UVA/UVB protection from Coppertone SPF # 50 Oil-Free Fragrance-Free 8 oz. for less money and more product.

This is a very good sunscreen product, and very straight forward. It has an impressive amount of effective sunscreen ingredients in a standard lotion base. There are no bells and whistles. It's sunscreen without fragrance, so it's suitable for men and women.

My face is oily and my neck is normal. This is somewhat heavy on my face, but not surprisingly so, given the high degree of protection. It is not heavy on my neck at all. It does leave a bit of a white cast which seems to fade as the skin absorbs the product. No one has called me Casper yet, so I don't think anyone has noticed. Neither the whiteness nor the heaviness are deal-breakers for me. They're a very minor tradeoff for a good sunscreen. This is worth trying no matter your skin type, and I will use this product again.

This product is very pleasant to use. It has almost no odor and it goes on like moisturizer. But the white titanium dioxide paints your skin a ghostly white. It soaks in after a while with extra rubbing, but I waited for 15 minutes and my face was still noticeably white. That is too long for me. If you have very pale skin it might not be so noticeable, and you might need the ultra-high SPF more. I could not consider this product as anything but a sun-block.

I guess this product might be okay if you have very dry skin, want a high SPF, and don't mind the fact that the zinc oxide isn't micronized and leaves your skin with a chalky appearance. For me though the deal breaker was how slimy I felt after putting it on. I don't even want this on my body.

So I have recently developed even drier skin than I had in high school and heard some older women raving about this. So I gave it a try and I'm in love!!! I was worried I was going to get some generic or old thing of face cream because of the different/weird product picture that is shown but the one I received looks exactly like the other pictures for this product!!! My routine is to wash my face at night with the japanese clay bar soap Deitanseki Soap (Clay and Charcoal Facial Cleansing Bar) by lathering it in a washcloth and moving it in a circular motion then rinsing. I then moisturize with this amazing cream! I don't remove it with a tissue but leave it on over night and it absorbs into the dry patches of my face and it looks amazing! At first the cream seems oddkind of greasy and well just different. But I have sinced learned over the past three months to only apply about a nickle size amount over my entire face at night. I then only follow up with small applications in the morning after I shower and pat my face dry on the really dry areas of my face. After using this for months, I am only about 1/4 or 1/5 of the way through the jar which is awesome! I haven't used this as a remedy for anything else but this is awesome as a moisturizer for dry elbows and knees too.

I have been using this for years and have found that it makes removing make-up so much easier, especially mascaras.

I love this stuff ! I have very dry skin, and usually after I apply my moisture cream and make up, it doesn't take long, before my skin feels all dry, again.... I saw this at walmart.com actually and thought I would give it a try. I applied it all over my face and neck, let it soak in a few minutes and then washed it off, with a damp cloth. I also use it at night, now, just massaging some in and leaving it on, all night. it gets soaked into your dry skin completely over night. My face looks so radiant, I'm amazed, I had some wrinkles start on my forehead and even those are much smoother looking, just from this alone. I used it in the tub, on my face and then washed it off, when I got out of the bath my whole body was so soft, I didn't need to lotion up, from what cream got into the bath water.

It is a bit on the greasy side, so if you have oily skin, this is probably not the best thing. I have been using it, now, for a week and had no problems with break outs or anything, just super soft, glowing skin.

Takes off waterproof mascara, too!. I love this stuff, hope they won't stop making it. FYI I got a 2 pack at walmart for 6 bucks, so cheaper than this.

I stopped by a corner market a few days ago to see if they had the Aloe Vera cream that I liked to use at night and under my makeup. I saw the Jergens cream and read it, and said "hmmm", I do need a makeup cleansing cream and I love Jergens products so I picked it up. I almost left the market and noticed the my Aloe Vera cream was right next to it. Lucky! I tried it and low and behold, it is absolutely fabulous! I live in a very high dry climate and because I'm from the east coast, I'm not used to trying out products to replenish moisture instead of products that I normally use to eliminate excessive moisture because of high humidity cities. I love it! I ask that Jergens NOT take this off the market. It seems like everytime I find a product like soap or a body spray mist that is popular and works, it somehow vanishes from the market. I know that this product is a definite winner! I love it and it definitely moisturizes your face. I do suggest that if you use it to remove makeup to also use a cotton swab and go over any excess moisture with a hydrating toner (i.e., L'Oreal hyrating toner, etc.) afterwards for the best results. Rinse your face with warm water and then use your favorite night time firming cream or vitamin e cream before you go to bed. Your skin will be radiant!

This scrub is a wonderful exfoliant, it is the closest replacement to Rachel Perry that i have tried, not as gritty as apricot scrub by st. Ives but its just gritty enough to clean your face and not strip it raw like the micro dermabrasion sea kelp scrub from rachel perry. Not a strong smell and it washes off leaving your face tight and clean.

Leaves skin soft and smooth. Doesn't dry out skin. You can feel the organic ingredients by how it leaves your skin. I highly recommend this item. Gentle, yet effective. Smells great!

Not the old formulation as pictured and listed:

Some ingredients listed for this product are aloe, jojoba wax beads and oil (not in that order). Packaging photo and product information are different too. What was sent to me was the Alba Even Advanced Sea Algae scrub. There's a major difference between the two products. The new "Even Advanced" does not use jojoba wax beads as the exfoliant, but crushed walnut shell. And Dimethicone is listed as the fourth or fifth ingredient in the "Even Advanced". There are more and different ingredients listed in the "Even Advanced". I bought this product, the Sea Algae scrub hoping this was some leftover stock of the old product, as described and pictured. But no, its Alba's new stuff.

It's way too fragrant and slimy (with the Dimethicone) than I like for a scrub, other than the fact that the ingredients are not the same as listed. My husband has oilier skin so he's going to use the two tubes. But I would not reorder this as a Prime delivery because its not the old formulation. It can be found for two to three dollars less elsewhere.

I've used the Queen Helene Oatmeal & Honey facial scrub for over 10 years. Over time it has been a bit difficult to find in the stores, so occasionally I've tried other brands, such as the St. Ives Apricot Scrub. Compared to St. Ives, the Queen Helene is a much finer-grained scrub, and a bit creamier. However, I think a lot of people may prefer the strong apricot scent of the St. Ives to the very mild honey & oatmeal scent of the Queen Helene. I personally love the warm smell of the Queen Helene scrub, but if you're looking for a bracing, lingering scent you won't find it here.

I keep the scrub in the shower and I rub some in my hands every time I shower to soften rough spots, and once or twice a week on my face. I'm happy to find it available on Amazon so I can stock up. If you want to check out the smell and consistency of this product before ordering, it is often available at Walgreens.

Finally, although the package design has recently changed, this seems to be the same as the old version in the yellow tube.

This is the best gadget I have found for blackheads. I use it twice a day and it took about a month or two to get the hang of using it with my skin. I bought this because of the great reviews online and in my magazines. It works okay but not as imagined, I had to press hard to actually see any results at all. My face was left clean but red from pressing to see results. Not sure if this is for people with severe pore clogging. Over all, keeping the product but not worth the price. It did come with some extra tester size mask facials which I did love and ended up purchasing. Toner was terrible, slimy and left my face very greasy and shiny.

Well, that wasn't the case with this thing! If you have clogged pores, this thing will clean them out. It feels weird, especially on your nose, and if you do it for too long you'll make your face super red, so be careful! It might not get them all the first time, but keep at it and it works wonders. I had some seriously stubborn blackheads on my chin that NEVER seemed to go away. One session with this thing and they are noticibly decreased in numbers. You can actually see the gunk building up on the scoop thingy. After I did my face I had to bribe my husband with a back rub to let me do his. It's addictive!

I have used several body wash products many of which were organic lines. This is by far my favorite in another review for a variation on this product a woman wrote it made her tub slippery I have not seen any evidense of that. My skin is definitely softer to the touch, no problems with dryness (I haven't even needed lotion), and more elastic. I see and feel a definite improvement and fewer skin issues which were mostly caused by dry skin irritation. I am 60 and find many of the Olay Regenerist and Total Effects (inc. the Definity line) to be far better than either the organic lines I have used or the pricey dept store lines such as Lancome.

Trader Joe's Nourish Spa Balance Moisturizing Conditioner - Cruelty Free 16.9oz

There are no words to describe this day. ***sigh*** 9 months ago I went natural. Being natural has made my hair sooo dry and brittle that I it would get to the point where I would almost cry when it came time to wash and condition my hair. I love how my natural hair changes into soft ringlets of curls when I use this. My hair melts and is so manageable. This is so natural, i used it as a hair dress, and a leave-in. It's better than all the expensive brands and is only 2.99 in the actual trader joe's store! My hair texture (4a curls) has changed dramatically since I started using this. It's even grown a lot as well. I try everything and the trader joe's nourish spa line is what i have settled on for shampoo and conditioner. I don't let anything else touch my hair ever. It's hard to find a person that would disagree. I did research and read reviews before buying it and people lost their marbles talking about how it hasn't failed them. Best thing that happened to my afro ever!

Update, It's now 4/16/2012--and I still ONLY use this product. There isn't a thing I would change about my review. What I would change about my natural-hair experience is having turned to this product earlier. It really is amazing and I've been faithful to this product for years.

This is such good stuff. All organic and so creamy. I use this for my conditioner cleansing (no shampoo for me) it leaves my hair so nicely conditioned! My hair has that nice heavy hang from all the moisturizing ingredients. Great 1st step in my hair routine. Have used this for 2 years with great results. Great to detangle my curly hair with nice slip.

I am an African American woman. I use this product in my natural hair. It works wonders. At times I may leave it as a deep conditioning treatment for 20 minutes with a shower cap for extra moisture benefits. There is a shampoo as well, but I use a shampoo from a different company, Carols daughter. While I wash it out, I add olive oil to my hair then semi blow dry it out. Comes out very soft and not hard to de-tangle. I love that its organic, it smells good, and the texture is thick, not WATERY. In the Trader joes store it is only $3 So I'm not sure why this is the price here?

This tonic is exactly what I need to keep my skin in good condition and pH balanced. I spray it on a cotton pad and dab it onto my face after I wash my face and it doesn't sting, which a tonic shouldn't do! ZIRH WASH - Mild Face Cleanser

My glaucoma specialist recommended keeping my lids very clean to prevent infection of my blebs. He recommended a special lid wash product at night and baby shampoo in the morning. This works better than the baby shampoo. It is gentle and I can wash up to the eye lashes. You don't want to get it in your eye though. Works great for me.

I used this shampoo years ago and it was wonderful; ordered a big bottle this time around, and when I used it, I realized it wasn't the same as before. I gave it a second chance, and still horrible. Didn't clean my hair and left it really tangled (thankful for conditioner...). I compared the current ingredients to those of a travel-sized bottle of the same shampoo, that I bought a few years ago, and the ingredients had indeed changed (for one, they added a formaldehyde-releasing ingredient, which goes against the gentle-ingredients philosophy that Sudzz FX USED to have).

I did purchase this through Amazon, but, because of the Seller's policy of no returns once a product is used, I am out $42.00 on this big bottle of awful "gentle shampoo". Going back to my trusted oldie from years ago, which still works beautifully and gently, Mastey Traite Cream Shampoo...don't know why I strayed, other than I can be a product junkie and like trying new products.

This may work for someone with really short hair, but I do not recommend it for long hair. Also, the scent isn't that great. A bit overwhelming.

DCL AHA Revitalizing Cleanser 4, 8 oz.

This cleanser was recommended by my dermatologist as part of my acne and anti-aging routine. It is simple, relatively inexpensive, and effective. My skin is delicate and breaks out, but this cleanser provides just enough AHA to get the job done without overstripping or causing a reaction. I have used DCL's cleanser and lotion for 8 years and my skin is clear and youthful. I would compare it to the Kinerase or Skinceuticals brands without the high pricetag...DCL is just as effective, so there's no need to pay more.

Didn't really notice anything fancy with this stuff. No tingle as mentioned, hasn't really done anything more for my skin than neutrogena's basic acne stuff. This bottle will last you a long time though, if you use it twice a week as they recommend. I'd guess almost 6 months.

I went for laser treatments and it helped for 6 months then it came back again, ugh! I was directed to use prescription antibiotics and Benzaclin (day) with tazorac (night) because I had oily skin. It helped tremendously, yet it was real drying to my face. The worse thing about it was when I had sweat on my face it turned real red like I was sunburned. That reaction to my skin was holding me back from a lot of things such as playing sports, hanging out with friends, or even going out for a swim in the summer

I decided to go all natural and find the best natural product that was not over drying like many of the over-the-counter products. I went to Wholefoods: I bought various products such as Derma-e (vitamin glycolic cleanser), Zia for men, Grandpas Soap (sulfur) not a good choice it broke me out a lot... etc. Too many to list. Also, to add I changed my diet integrating multi-vitamin (Centrum), chromium, optizinc.

I was at Wholefoods pretty much every other week buying new products until one day I went over to the other side of the shelves they had and found "Skin by Ann Webb." My eye caught the spearmint cleanser "Oily Skin Cleanser" OMG! That's what I have! I couldn't believe all this time I was going to Wholefoods. The head aesthetician could have taken me to this part of the aisle and shown me all these wonderful products... I was kind of mad. I tried it like many of the other products and BAM in a week I wasn't going back to buy another product. It was freaking working on my face, no more blemished red spots that constantly were coming up. I now own the spearmint cleanser, exfoliating powder (which is awesome because you can mix it with any cleanser), and the Goji Azelaic Serum (love it!). I recommend the blemish stick they have, it works amazing. I use it rarely now, but it works awesome.

I love this cleanser. I will stick with it for years. It has so many benefits.

First, it smells like spearmint wakes you right up!! You can use a small amount, rub it all over, feel it suds up just a little bit, leave it on, and afterwards your skin really does feel like it was exfoliated a bit.

I love that its natural (paraben free, etc.) and has a natural form of salicylic acid in it (white willow bark) and can help with scars and marks ( I have dark marks from acne). It's the perfect consistency and I like to leave it on for a few minutes while I shower.

I love it, love it, love it and will use it for as long as I can! (But I try to find it locally so I don't pay shipping and charging costs!)

This cleanser/mask exceeded expectations. I bought it at a natural store and it was recommended to me by the saleslady as an affordable/effective cleanser. I was SURPRISED when I used it and my skin instantly felt silky smooth after. Such a smooth cooling product, but it really does act as an exfoliator. It's brilliant, smells amazing, and i think it is slightly magical. I have "good skin" so whether this does the job for people who want the "acne fighting" in this, I don't know if it is effective against acne. I can tell you it makes my skin really soft and smooth and I love it.

***update, months later, I am getting sick of this cleanser because the bottle leaks when I take it anywhere. Lot so of product wasted. Not recommended for travel

I have genetically-inherited puffy circles under my eyes, and have unsuccessfully tried numerous products over the past ten years in order to get rid of them. Short of bletharoplasty, I don't think that there is any miracle cream out there that will completely and permanently get rid of under eye bags, but I have mixed feelings about the expense and risks of plastic surgery. I've been using the eye roller about twice a day for a few weeks, and I can see more dramatic results than I have experienced with other creams and ointments in the past. The metal roller immediately feels cold during application, and within a few minutes the clear fluid begins to tighten a little as it dries, giving my under eye areas a rejuvenated feeling (this is not an instant skin tightening cream, so don't expect drastic tightening).

Over the past few weeks of consistent use, I can see a faint difference in the coloration of my skin, and wrinkles in my under eye areas and crows feet are becoming finer. Darker areas that were red/purple from capillary exposure are becoming more even toned with the rest of my facial skin, and although the roller pen won't completely get rid of my circles, I think there is a subtle reduction in puffiness around both eyes.

There are a ton of eye creams on the market, but this is the first one I've found that is made specifically for men, and has produced results that meet my managed expectations, so I highly recommend it.

It has a metallic ball and works like a pen. It's super cold too. Getting up for university after a late night of studying or lack of sleep, it definitely opens your eyes up and brightens the area. It's also good if you get up super early for work etc.

So far I've used it for a few days and I definitely notice that my eyes aren't as dark anymore after I use it. Don't know if it's actually making them go away for good, or if it's just temporary for as long as I use it.

It's definitely worth a shot to try it for yourself, especially if you have dark circles or bags or your eyes look tired from a lack of sleep.

I have been using this religiously since the day someone mentioned about my eyes and till date, could not tell any difference apart from the cooling effect when it goes on. Perhaps others may have a better experience. I can't help but think the reviews are slightly skewed.

It feels really nice when you apply this product: cool and calm around your eyes. HOWEVER, it doesn't tell you how often or how many times you should roll/apply it! They gave as much instruction to use this as a chap stick!

My results were mixed: I tried applying it at night time, 2x a day, 1 roll per eye, 10 rolls, 20 rolls per eye but in the end I'm just lost on how to get the most out of it. I felt that the results peaked after a month of use: still have puffy circles but just not as dark anymore. If it had instructions on how to properly apply it, I think I would have better results.
