So I'm kind of a face wash junkie. I picked this up on a whim because I'd just run out of my last cleanser. I was intrigued by the exotic yet natural ingredients and also attracted to the fact that it is cruelty-free and vegan (yup, that's kind of must for me!).

I've been using this wash once a day all week and I'm not only amazed at how awesome it cleanses, but at how it doesn't dry my skin out at all! This cleanser also takes my heavy eye makeup off with one washing. Just one! This is a big deal because I wear TONS of eye makeup. We're talking cat eyes. I don't even need my eye makeup remover anymore. This stuff rocks!

If natural, vegan ingredients are important to you you will love this stuff. If you are looking for something that's powerful but gentle! you will love this stuff. It's a win-win, people.

I've been trying to find a facewash for my acne prone skin for a very long time! Everything I used (African black soap,grandma lye soap and a million other acne washes) broke me out. I've been using this face wash since March 11. Today is March 27 and so far I haven't had a pimple from it and the ones I do have are actually drying up. Usually it takes a new product a few days before I break out, but not with this product.

I've also started using giovanni's moisturizer as well, but I've only been using it for two days. Too soon to write a review, but so far it hasn't broke me out.

I LOVE THIS FACE WASH.

I have been a dedicated ProActiv user for over 5 years, not anymore. I discovered this product during an overnight stay at my mothers house and fell in love. No break outs, no greasy residue, just tight, firm, glowing skin. When I use at night and it completely washed off all my makeup leaving my face feeling smooth and clean. I receive so many compliments on how amazing my skin looks only after a few days of using this product. It is so hard to find a good face wash that prevents breakouts and thoroughly cleanses the skin. I do recommend using a moisturizer in conjunction with this product. I love Giovanni hair and skin products. The only the product I do not like is Giovanni's Chocolate scrub. I stopped using Proactiv and switched to this Purifying Facial Cleanser. I started using it after having samples of all 3 steps. I have not went back to Proactiv. Recently, Proactiv had a recall on their face cleanser so I am definitely not using their face wash again. I love the way Giovanni's Purifying Facial Cleanser smells and makes my face feel. The product is awesome and if you can buy at your local Walmart for a cheaper price.

I've been looking for something that will help clear up my clogged pores without any salicylic acid in it for about a month now. I'm pregnant, so have to avoid a lot of common skin care ingredientsmaking it tough to find products that seem worth buying. I went to Sephora, and ultimately decided that the few selections I had that I could actually use were entirely too expensive. Later that day, I went to Whole Foods and chose to try this out since it had such good reviews here. I bought the skin cleanser, scrub and moisturizer (the full line). I have only used this ONCE so far but got such great results I decided to go ahead and write a review and update it later if anything changed. First I used the cleanser with my Clarisonic. I could feel immediately that my face was clean after the cleanser even though I'd spent an hour at Sephora trying on 100's of makeup samples layered on top of each other. Smooth and squeaky clean! I then did the step two scrub (a little apprehensive that it would dry out my skin or at the least make it red and scary), and after rinsing it off and looking in the mirror my face looked cleansed and freshnot irritated. My problem spots on my nose and chin that had the most clogged pores and whiteheads looked immensely better. I used the moisturizer, and aaahhhh nice and smooth.

I will absolutely update this if it starts to disappoint or impress me further!

I got this cleansing foam for my face before leaving for college. I have fairly good skin, but occasionally pimples here and there. It worked great for awhile, but then it started to dry out my face and it made me really sad because I really liked the smell! However, I realized I can just apply to my back during my showers. Why? Because I have bacne. :( I guess you have acne somewhere else if not your face. Anyway, it's perfect for my back. It really prevents breakouts. You should apply it AFTER using conditioner though because conditioner really makes your skin oily. Overall, it's a great product! A tad bit expensive on Amazon, but great for bacne!

Scrub and received these soaps by mistake originally. The vendor told me to just keep the soap, so I tried it and now it's a must have for me.

I have super oily, sensitive, acne-prone skin and I needed something to exfoliate my skin because of all the oil and dirt build-up during the day and this soap really got that job done. It was soft and gentle and did not irritate my skin. I felt clean afterwards and was ready for the next cleansing process. This soap also lasts a very very long time even with continuous use twice a day.

Very Private pH Balanced Body Wash, 6-Ounce Bottle

This product left me confused for a little bit. Their big selling point is that is has obgyn .net's seal of approval, but Very Private is actually a sponsor of the website. On top of that, the website itself doesn't look extremely professional and reliable as a medical reference to begin with. There goes that selling point.

I had a number of problems with the ingredient list (which is only located on the outer product carton):

-Sodium hydroxide, AKA lye, is a strong base. Since the vagina is naturally acidic and has the ability to pH balance itself, this may actually disrupt the natural pH balance of the vagina. So while Very Private is a "pH balanced body wash," it makes no claims to make the user pH balanced as I think many assume.

-Nonoxynol-9 is commonly used as a spermicide. In this case it is used to break down oil (it is a surfactant). However, from its use as a (rather ineffective) spermicide it has been linked to an increased STD infection rate . While its use as a spermicide isn't entirely relevant, I found it to be relevant simply because this is an intimate body wash to be used around sex organs and may cause the same side effects.

-According to Wikipedia, another ingredient, Quaternium-15, "...can cause contact dermatitis, a symptom of an allergic reaction, especially in those with sensitive skin, on an infant's skin, or on sensitive areas such as the genitals." I don't know about you, but I wouldn't put that in an intimate body wash.

-Vanillin is artificial vanilla. I can only assume that they put it there for scent, but for a body wash for sensitive skin that's not helpful in the least.

The product claims to be "Dermatologist tested and approved," but has no mention of FDA approval of its claims of "...containing an effective funga-stat and bacteria-stat, actually helps prevent skin and common vaginal irritations." Methylparaben is an anti-fungal agent, but where the "bacteria-stat" comes from, I have no idea. Obviously, there is no well-known antibiotic in this product, as that would require a prescription.

After suffering from frequent UTI's and yeast infections, I figured anything would be better than heavily scented body wash. This is probably better, but it's not worth $14.99 by any means. Take a fourth of that and buy some unscented baby wash and call it a day. I suggest you do your own research on the ingredient list and come to the same conclusion I did: this product does little to help prevent vaginal infections, and may even help to cause them.

I was using Nirena but then they changed the formula and it didn't leave me as fresh. I thought that since I didn't feel it, maybe it was no longer worth the price. This product was cheaper and got good reviews so I tried it. I didn't feel anything with this product either but I did catch a yeast infection for the first time in a few years. I never had yeast infections with Nirena. So I decided that it's worth it to pay the extra and get the product that works.

I'd been a big fan of Sweet Spot feminine cleanser for a number of years. I decided to explore my options. I'm hitting That Stage of my life when things are changing up. Like increased sensitivity. I can tell that this product is an improvement over Sweet Spot, which until I discovered this, I'd thought was the best there was.

There is definitely a difference between this and what is available in the drugstores. If I would change anything, this would be a product that would be free of sodium laureth sulfate and any type of paraben. But it works for me. Does what I need it to do. Kiss My Face Bar Soap Olive And Lavender 8 oz (Multi-Pack)

I discovered Kiss My Face products maybe 20 years ago. I was looking for a large size bath soap that didn't dry out my skin and didn't have a scent. I tried the olive oil and olive oil & aloe soaps and loved them. There is a very very light clean scent. The lavender scent soap is just wonderfully scented while using it and most importantly it doesn't cause dryness. One draw back if you use white or light color wash cloths -it will stain it after prolonged use. I also use the moisture lotion olive and aloe when needed especially in winter. There are stronger scented products that come in soft soap pump style containers. You can find this brand in most health food stores if you just want to try it. Then buy it in larger quanties on Amazon at a lower unit cost.

I love the nice smell the lavender gives the otherwise bland smelling olive oil soap. Since using this soap I have not had the super dry patches of skin I usually get in the winter. There is no film left on the skin like there is with so many of the moisturizing bar soaps. Make sure to keep this in a soap dish and drain the water out of the dish each time you use it. If it sits in water it will get very slimy and gunky. The 8 oz bar will last a long time and is a good value for a natural ingredient soap.

I love this soap! Both the scent and the feel is awesome. The lavender and the olive oil make a good quality product.

Lavender is one of my favorite scents. The lavender smell adds a lot to this wonderful soap bar. The smell of it is music to my nose.

John Paul Pet Waterless Foam Shampoo

Great product to use for pets who're not fans of baths or need a little scent booster between baths. Our two cats don't seem to mind it, both purring during a few minutes of a "foam bath". Our dog seems to prefer it over her monthly bath. Easy to use and apply, no gross strong scent and quick to dry. Obviously avoid the area around the eyes and ears. Small amount of foam should be enough, lather and massage into fur until dry.

I am so glad I bought this. I actually bought it because I'm transitioning to a CRUELTY-FREE lifestyle, eliminating products that have been tested on animals. That was selling point #1. But this shampoo is amazing! I take my pitbull to the park a lot and she hates baths, but this shampoo comes out as a foam and you just rub it in and brush or wipe it off. I don't know how it gets her clean, but it does! And it's so gentle and EASY TO USE that, even when I'm giving my dog a full tub bath, I still use this product on her head/face to avoid getting water in her eyes/ears. Estee Lauder Perfectly Clean Light Lotion Cleanser

My skin gets too dry... After using various moisturizing soaps and cleansers without much success, I turned to this product. Although it's an expensive product, it works (and the only product I'm happy with so far). I just apply the cleanser and tissue off. You can rinse it off, too. It doesn't have strong smell and it feels gentle. Not too shiny on the face unlike some other heavily oily products.

I switched over to Estee Lauder about a year ago and have never gone back. I just love it, and it's great with my skin. I recommend this cleanser highly!

I received this product and noticed the packaging was different. I didn't think much of it just they changed designs. The product I received has wheatgrass and buckwheat in it. These ingredients were not on the bottle shown in the picture. As a celiac, this is detrimental to my health. I would purchase from a better dealer and hope to get the real thing.

I believed this really helped my acne. I did not like the "after" taste that sometimes comes. I just would take it with food.

Just being careful with the food i eat is not enough. Pert Plus So Fine, 2 In 1 Shampoo Plus Conditioner

I highly reccomend this shampoo to anybody who has oily air. It seems like majority of shampoo selections at the store is for dry or damaged hair. I have been searching for something that would not leave my hair oily 5 hours later. This works great! You cannot beat it for the price ! =]

The shampoo that was labeled "for fine or oily hair" worked just fine for my oily hair. They quit selling that and instead they have this one labeled "for fine or thin hair." This stuff adds oil to your hair and it won't wash out. It is like some kind of oil that is super-glued to your hair. I hate it.

Pert has done this in the past. Decades ago they changed their shampoo that did a really good job of cutting the grease to one like this (that keeps the grease in your hair). I quit using their shampoo for ten to twenty years and then tried them again. They had come back with something that worked but now they can't help themselves and again discontinued the stuff that actually cleans my hair. I guess I'll come back in a few decades to see if they changed their formula back.

Kiehls - Gentle Foaming Facial Cleanser

I've been using this facial cleanser for about a year. I have combination skin, and finding a cleanser that doesn't dry it out or irritate it is maddening. Love this stuff though. This is the best price for the quantity that I've been able to find, product was in great shape when it arrived earlier than expected.

I was ordering some of my kiehls favorites when I came upon the 1 poor review for this item, and I had to write my own review. This is what I consider my beauty product secret, and it's my very favorite. I do have dry to combination skin, and I used to get dry patches and irritation, and that no longer happens even in the cold winter. I have used it for about 7 years now and it works just as well now as it always has. My skin doesn't feel tight after I wash, and it even easily removes my eye makeup without a separate solution without burning my skin or my eyes. They should change the name,in my opinion, though, because it is called "foaming" but it does not actually visibly foam when I wash...it's more milky. This could discourage someone who really likes a foaming feeling when they wash. However, with the healthy skin I've had since using it, I really don't care that it doesn't foam!

Topix Glycolix Elite Treatment Pads 20% 60 Pads

The benefits of glycolic acid are many; removing cellular debris, stimulatimg collagen synthesis, refining skin texture. I've been using glycolic acid products for about 15 years and recently started incorporating Glycolix glycolic treatment pads into my nightly routine. I've tried other glycolic pads, but have found Glycolix to be the best. I appreciate the range of glycolic percentages (5% 20%)offered and also the fact that the percentage is clearly listed on the jar. I use the 20% strength (first timers need to begin with a milder strength) each jar contains 60 pads that's 2 months worth for me. Incredible value on a fantastic product. You will see results with consistent use. *It's very important to note that a sun screen product must be used on a daily basis when using glycolic products but really, we should all be using a minimum spf 15 on a daily basis.

I'm 22 year old college student, and I've been battling acne for the past decade. I've only had minor scars on my face, but I have some pretty bad ones on my upper back and chest. I've been using RetinA and Benzaclin for a long time, and it's been somewhat effective. Not too long ago, my parents told me that their insurance no longer covers retinA or benzaclin and that I'd be paying somewhere around $200-250 per month or so for these products.

Not really liking the results of the prescriptions as it was, there was no way I was paying that much for it. Then I began to do a little research online. I found that AHA (Alpha hydroxy acids) stimulated the growth of new skin and dissolved away dead skin. So I became interested, and went out to seek the strongest of the AHAs, glycolic acid. I went to Walmart and found an insane amount skin care products. Overwhelmed, and finding it hard to determine how much glycolic acid was in what, I looked online and found this product.

I've only been using it a week on my face/upperback/chest, and I've had several times the results with this product than I had with the years of retinA/benzaclin. Scars are fading, acne has stopped forming, pores are clear and smaller, skin tone is improved, the circles under my eyes are fading, even the small forehead creases that were creeping up on me are smoothing out.

In my small experience, I have advice for some people. Using sunscreen is an absolute must, and moisturizers aren't a bad idea. I've been using a combo, Dove Essential Nutrients Day lotion SPF 15. Some websites say that AHAs increase the effect of moisturizers. Also, don't use it on your face right after shaving.

Cons:

1. Pads stick together sometimes. It can be hard to get one at a time.

2. Despite what I expected, you use these pads to wipe instead of leaving it on the skin, which leaves a very little amount of acid on the skin. I would think that something like MaMa's lotion, while a weaker AHA, would stay on the skin longer and effectively be stronger.

This product works great if you want to get rid of dead skin cells and have a fresher more renewed look to your skin. I would caution the buyer about the burn though. These pads are not for the sensitive! They do sting and burn a bit. Plus, they leave the skin rather sticky. I didn't have a problem with it, but I have been using these types of products for a while. If your skin is very sensitive, I would begin with the 10% version.

I ordered these pads to see if they could help lessen/eliminate some bumps under the skin on my cheek. After using them twice a day for 2 weeks, the bumps are gone. I think the increased concentration ( 20%) of glycolic acid did the trick. I experienced no redness or peeling either, just a slight stinging, and that only occasionally. I have regularly usd a glycolic -based cream as part of my daily facial treatment , but the bumps persisted. Now they are history.

I love the way this smells! If you have combination-oily skin I think this product would be great for you because it leaves the skin super squeaky clean. I have oily but acne-prone skin, so I'm afraid to use this everyday (because I can't read the active ingredients-Japanese), but I really enjoy using it every once in a while. Japanese skin products are always so interesting to me :)

new fav!!! First I wet my face then put a dime to nickel size of Perfect Milk in my hands and gently massage my face. Then a add more water and its foams up to an amazing lather. It rinses off with no probelm. My skin is very soft afterwards and not dry.

Best shampoo ever! The only REAL shampoo I've ever used! The first time I used it, I wondered why I had spent 28 years using junk on my hair.

This really gets your hair cleaner than anything! You run your fingers over the wet hair, and it literally squeaks clean! There is no waxy residue like many other commercial shampoos leave in your hair. I was a little worried it would leave my hair unmanageable, but it came out so soft and no tangles! Adds quite a bit of body and bounce.

The MAIN reason I got this shampoo is because it has NO sodium lauryl/laureth sulfates! That stuff is used in clinical trials to IRRITATE the skin so that they can test lotions and creams. It causes an allergic reaction in some people, builds up in your skin and can hurt your immune system. I really wanted to get away from it. This brand (JASON) does not put any of that in any of their products.

I love this shampoo. I invested in some Nioxin after lots of people suggested it, and I couldn't tell much of a difference, but I always figure buying shampoos to make a huge difference on your hair was a bit of a crapshoot anyway, so I didn't hold it against Nioxin. But then on a whim I bought some of this at the grocery store last month, and I swear I can tell a difference. All I can say is 'wowy', wow, wow, wow. Love this stuff. My hair has been driving me crazy lately and as we get older, it starts to thin out. I wanted an all-natural shampoo and came across this one on Amazon. I liked the reviews (thank goodness for reviews), then went for it. Okay, I do have to admit, the smell is a bit off and the shampoo doesn't lather, but that is the price I will take for nice hair and this stuff does the job.
