Well I switched to this from my old faithful noxzema triple clean antibacterial. AT first I mixed a little of the noxzema in with this cus in the past I've found going cold turkey from a face product can be a big no no. Especially an antibacterial with triclosan in it... whic so many people are against because they are blinded by thier not completely backed up science and naturalism. Maybe it's that your face is addicted to the various agents in the product because beauty product companies want you to keep buying thier stuff. I can niether confirm nor deny that so I wont sit and talk conpiracy about it. Anyways the first few days I had it mixed with my noxzema and it was doing just fine. no new zits. Then after I stopped mixing with the noxzema and used just this product for a week or two. Around week 2 of using it along twice a day I had a horrible break out. The likes of which I havent seen in years since my acne was more severe. I also found that the "exfoliating" beads are too few and far between to have virtually any effect. I noticed no whitening but I'm sure it's because the whitening agent isnt that strong and I didnt use it long enough. All the negativity aside I LOVE LOVE LOVE how clean it makes my skin feel and the smell. So to this day I occasionally mix it with my noxzema for those purposes and my skin is doing fine. Not to mention i'm now seeing a little bit of whitening, but I'm using other whitening products so I don't know. Not a bad purchase at all and I'm sure it would work well on others with different skin types who arent faithful three year strong noxzemz users. Peace in the middle east. I purchased this product after my family continued to have ongoing issues with dry skin and hair. After reading about all of the benefits shea butter had to offer, I decided to purchase it. I chose this vendor due to the overwhelmingly positive responses.

This product was a good substitute for the petrolatum, lanolin, and mineral oil based products were we using in my household. However, the positive affects began to wear off after about a month of use. I noticed dry areas returning for myself, my daughter, and my husband. This shea butter is a great moisturizer, it feels amazing on the skin and works great as a hair conditioner too.

It *does* smell. Not good. To me, it smells like old clay. It's not a horrible smell, it's just not good.

I plan to whip the shea butter up with a little coconut oil and a nice smelling essential oil to improve the scent and make it a little easier to use.

It is a little gritty when you first feel it. If you've ever played with 'moon sand', you will understand. But it melts quickly and smoothly in your hands

Overall, 4 out of 5 stars, and considering that it smells the way it does only because it is organic and natural, I probably shouldn't have even subtracted one star.

Physicians Formula Gentle Cleansing Lotion, 8-Ounces (Pack of 2)

I had been fascinated with cold cream, and through that I eventually found this cleansing lotion.

I really love it! It's fragrance free, which is a big bonus for me; it leaves my skin feeling soft, too. I have combination skin, with dry and oily spots all over my t-zone--this lotion does a good job of balancing my skin out. I still deal with a bit of oiliness by the end of the day. but the amount is much less if I were using any other cleanser I've bought in the past.

The one thing I want people to know is that this product is a waterand mineral oil-based cleanser. I know this bothers some people, but it doesn't bother me. I've done a lot of research on mineral oil, and from what I understand is this: it works for some people, and doesn't work for others. Just like any other product! :) Mineral oil sometimes aggravates blemishes, but for me, that hasn't been a problem. If anything, since using this cleanser, my skin has been clearer.

Mineral oil cannot clog pores, and it cannot be absorbed into the skin because its molecules are too large. It's a great sealant which helps to keep moisture on the skin, and when used wisely doesn't cause a lot of greasiness (unless you have especially oily skin). I'm aware that this seems contrary compared to a lot of claims about mineral oil, but if you find unbiased, scientific studies on *cosmetic* grade mineral oil, you'll find that it's safe to use. But again, it's not for everyone, just like all beauty products.

For example, I can use this cleansing lotion with no issues, but I also have a cold cream that's made of nothing but organic ingredients and has no parabens. When I use the latter, my skin burns, feels tight, and feels so dry. My skin hates it. Does that make the product bad? For me specifically, YES! lol But for others? Not necessarily. I'm sure there are others who have lots of success with it, and that isn't made invalid just because I didn't have that same success. :)

I think it has also helped clear my skin it is a long term beenfit of tea tree oil.

Yes, it is expensive, but it is a very good soap for those with sensitive skin.

I tried the Paul Mitchell soap. I didn't like it. It was not gentle and it formed a awful foam and left my skin feeling weird. The bar also went down faster than this one. (With this one you get a nice chunky block of soap).

Non Soap Skin Cleanser - 16 oz - Liquid

The problem with so many non-soap products is they don't clean skin well enough and they're not clean rinsing. Meaning whatever they're made of however gentle is clogging and does not rinse off the skin thoroughly, which in itself is irritating to skin. On top of it I have found many natural-type non-soap products very bad for the shower drain with their tendency to gunk and build up. For my easily irritated combination-oily skin I need cleanser to both clean and rinse really well AND not irritate my skin. (And not give my shower a slow drain!) This is a gentle liquid soap (although the company calls it a "skin cleanser") that you can use for your hands and body. I used up two bottles in a about two months as a hand soap, only using it occasionally on my face. The pump is great, very practical. The scent is light. This soap contains a small amount of grapefruit seed extract, which is supposed to kill germs naturally. This bottle is larger than your average bottle of bathroom hand soap. This cleanser foams up quite nicely. It doesn't dry my skin out or leave any strong lasting fragrances on my skin. I will be buying this again.

I'm not an acne-covered teenager, but, as a 30+ woman, I was tired of occasional breakouts on my face and back.

My doctor recommended this particular product because you can (and should) replace the sponge head periodically, thus reducing bacteria to re-infect oneself and lead to pimples. She told me to use it with an anti-bacterial body wash.

It works just fine as a back scrubber. This would not be appropriate for very sensitive skin as it is an exfoliant type brush--similar to a loofah or those round body scrubbers that always come bundled with body wash gift packs.

When you've tossed the old sponge to replace it, you are left with a stick covered with little pointy barbs. That's what the new sponge will stick to. Changing it isn't hard, but, occasionally, a washcloth or other item near the brush will catch on a barb that doesn't get full covered by your new sponge. This isn't a big issue, but it could snag something. Be careful with that problem, and you should enjoy this brush.

I've had my handle for about 2 years now. It is sturdy. I've been through many, many sponge heads. They are tricky to find at my local grocery and pharmacy, so Amazon availability is really great for me.

...and it has paid off. I'm 59 years old now and still get compliments on my skin. I began using the Buf-Puf facial sponge daily around 1982. After a few months, I took an out of town trip and left the sponge at home. My skin continued to exfoliate on it own without the sponge! That to me was positive poof of the exfoliating properties of this sponge. I've been using it daily since and I don't leave town without it. When I discovered the Buf-Puf body sponge, I began using that, too. I find much younger women listening attentively when I tell them about my simple skin care regimen which consists only of daily Buf-Puf use with regular soap and inexpensive skin lotion from the grocer. You don't need astringents, expensive lotions, chemical exfoliants, or masques. And my great skin is not hereditary (my five younger sisters choose to not use the sponge and don't have my skin). Buf-Puf doesn't get all the credit, though. Healthy eating (plenty of veggies with a moderate amount of meat protein and fat) and not smoking help. But I probably still wouldn't have as great skin at this age without exfoliation.

You can use the rougher side (the color side) of the Buf-Puf bath sponge to keep your elbows and knees silky smooth (it works). I used to wish the Buf-Puf sponges were less expensive and in the early years I tried less expensive store brands. The less expensive sponges are not only difficult to find on a consistent basis, they're not as effective and don't last as long. I now realize that $10 or $12 a month for great skin is not expensive (I use both a facial and a bath sponge for an entire month and switch out to new ones at the beginning of each month). Other skin care regimens would cost more (masques, astringents, chemical exfoliants, etc.). Not only do you get the great skin, you don't have to take extra steps for it (as with masques, astringents, and chemical exfoliants). By the way, I use the Buf-Puf sponges (one facial, one body) INSTEAD OF bath cloths, not in addition to bath cloths.

If you're using a Buf-Puf sponge for the first time, don't scrub hard. Your skin will need a few days or so to get use to the abrasion. And as it does, you'll unconsciously increase the pressure. Your skin may feel a little sensitive at first (a lot if you scrub hard), but it will acclimate.

Also, this sponge is available without the handle. It's easier to use without the handle and I rarely do, and even then only to get to the unreachable part of my back.

Finally, it's never too late to begin exfoliating. So, if you're older and want to improve your skin, it's not too late to begin exfoliating and removing dead skin cells to reveal the smooth new cells underneath.

I'm 22 year old college student, and I've been battling acne for the past decade. I've only had minor scars on my face, but I have some pretty bad ones on my upper back and chest. I've been using RetinA and Benzaclin for a long time, and it's been somewhat effective. Not too long ago, my parents told me that their insurance no longer covers retinA or benzaclin and that I'd be paying somewhere around $200-250 per month or so for these products.

Not really liking the results of the prescriptions as it was, there was no way I was paying that much for it. Then I began to do a little research online. I found that AHA (Alpha hydroxy acids) stimulated the growth of new skin and dissolved away dead skin. So I became interested, and went out to seek the strongest of the AHAs, glycolic acid. I went to Walmart and found an insane amount skin care products. Overwhelmed, and finding it hard to determine how much glycolic acid was in what, I looked online and found this product.

I've only been using it a week on my face/upperback/chest, and I've had several times the results with this product than I had with the years of retinA/benzaclin. Scars are fading, acne has stopped forming, pores are clear and smaller, skin tone is improved, the circles under my eyes are fading, even the small forehead creases that were creeping up on me are smoothing out.

In my small experience, I have advice for some people. Using sunscreen is an absolute must, and moisturizers aren't a bad idea. I've been using a combo, Dove Essential Nutrients Day lotion SPF 15. Some websites say that AHAs increase the effect of moisturizers. Also, don't use it on your face right after shaving.

Cons:

1. Pads stick together sometimes. It can be hard to get one at a time.

2. Despite what I expected, you use these pads to wipe instead of leaving it on the skin, which leaves a very little amount of acid on the skin. I would think that something like MaMa's lotion, while a weaker AHA, would stay on the skin longer and effectively be stronger.

These pads are not for the sensitive! They do sting and burn a bit. Plus, they leave the skin rather sticky. Tate's The Natural Miracle Odorless Shampoo 8oz

I like this shampoo but it leaves my hair a little too soft. I have dry hair (color treated) that doesn't have much body. This shampoo is fine, but I wish I could find a fragrance free shampoo that adds body. Possibly a moisturizing shampoo. So far I haven't found a fragrance free moisturizing shampoo. (I believe shampoos labelled as "moisturizing" don't strip as much natural oil away as other shampoos (and/or do moisture shampoos have some ingredients that retain or attract moisture?).

After washing with the Tate shampoo, I use the Tate Natural Miracle conditioner, which is also fragrance free and mild. This conditioner takes the tangles out fairly well but still my hair is too soft and limp. To add a little body, I use some fragrance free styling gel by free and clear, but it's a little stiff and doesn't provide the flexible body I'm looking for.

Premier Dead Sea Micro Facial Cleanser

High quality, non-irritating, thorough cleanser which only takes a very small amount. I used one tube daily for almost a year. You don't feel the "Micro Grains", but it does clean well and remove make-up. Odor is neutral, but pleasant. Skin feels good afterwards, not too drying. Have purchased 3 tubes so far. Last order arrived poorly packed and tube opened and damaged, soaking the package. Extremely prompt response from seller, and replacement sent immediately, better packed. Initially purchased from local boutique store, but hard to find offline.

This is the best eye make up remover I've used and I've been through a lot of the expensive ones and cheaper ones too. It's gentle and easy and a good price. I have sensitive eyes and there's no irritation with this one. It will also remove waterproof mascara easily. It's not oily either which I love. I highly recommend this remover.

I wish I found reviews for this item online before getting 4 whole bottles! I purchased this item because it claims to be made of just a few simple ingredients and no animal products (although on closer inspection of the bottle there is no mention of not being tested on animals), while being able to remove waterproof mascara. My facial cleanser just doesn't cut it when getting off my mascara, and I hate waking in the morning with raccoon eyes!

So imagine my surprise when it doesn't even touch my mascara!!!! The directions say not to scrub, but even scrubbing didn't help. All I ended up doing was inadvertently plucking myself of my eyelashes! I did get some of the product in my eyes during the process of trying to get it to work, and there is only a very mild irritation, nothing I felt I needed to flush my eyes out for immediately. And sure, it took off the regular eye makeup, but so does my regular facial cleanser.

Either way, skip this. And I'm still in search of a vegan eye make up remover.

Absolutely NO TRACE of any type of oil (which I find present even in the products that state "oil free") and gently removed all traces of waterproof mascara, lip liner and brow powder/filler with ease just using a cotton ball..the only downside is that its way too expensive! I will continue to use it in spite of that fact; it does work and works well!

This is my favorite shampoo. It soemtimes works better in hard water than soft, but I use it anyway in all climates. The conditioner by the same company are my favorite twosome in the shower!

Cle De Peau Gentle Cleansing Foam 110ml/4.2oz

This cleanser has a nice, creamy texture, foams up wonderfully and has a light, pleasant smell.

I have very sensitive skin and can't use just anything, I have to be very careful otherwise I'll "pay" for it. I was given a sample at Neiman Marcus and was hesitant to try it cause I didn't want to suffer (my skin burns if I use wrong products, and I break out badly) for days/weeks trying to calm my poor skin down. Howevery I felt in love with this cleaser from the first use. It feels like satin and on the other hand it removes makeup very well. When I follow up with the toner there is nothing left on the cotton pad.

A small amount goes a very long way, to. The only downfall is the price point, but definitely worth every penny.

I higly recommend this product. And yes, I use it with and without the Clarisonic brush.
