Aveeno Ultra Calming Makeup Removing Wipes, 25 Count

Seriously, i have no idea what the other reviewers are talking about, i was surprised to read them. i use Differin on my skin, and when i am at the gym with all the salty sweat, my skin gets irritated, dry and reddish. i found those at Jewel first because it said "ultra calming". Before purchasing them, i had used Blum, Neutrogena, Simple (which i really liked), Garnier, Alba Botanica, and probably several more which i can't recall. in fact you can find many of those for just 3.99 at your local Marshalls in the beauty isle, they have different brands.

anyways, i was very pleasantly surprised:

1/ the wipes are larger in size than the others. you need 1 to remove everything.

2/ they STRETCH, they dont tear, and they are as soft as silk. in fact, they are the softest i have tried.

3/ given their size, you can keep folding and folding while cleansing to cover different areas of your face

4/ work wonderfully well on both eyes and face. BUT i dont only rely on those wipes for my cleansing. To avoid rubbing, i apply my nourishing Boots eye makeup remover with some warm water around the eyes to allow the makeup to loosen, then i wipe everything with the Aveeno. After that, i wash my face with the absolutely terrific Cerave hydrating cleanser. and i am someone who really doesnt like drugstore beauty products but those are all great.

5/ it does not leave a greasy film on your face (if you dont rinse like i do). i tried to leave it on a few times, and i felt like a silky gel on my skin for about 5 minutes, but then the skin absorbed it all.

6/ they have a delicate scent, they are not heavily fragranced.

7/ helped me indeed calm the irritation and the redness with time. my skin feels and looks great.

i came here to purchase some more but found the price at drugstore.com to be better and now i buy them in lots of 4! if you have sensitive skin, try those.

I leave these by my bed and use them at night which helps my skin stay clean. They def. take makeup off also.

I did not like this product at ALL. The snap lid isn't very good, I had to use multiple wipes to remove all the makeup I had on (and I don't even wear much!!), AND it left this greasy film on my fingers and face (it honestly feels like I rubbed my face with grease, it isn't at all like the "just put on moisturizer" feel). Yuck. Very unsatisfied.

I have tried so many creams and moisturizers for my feet (heels very dry and scaly) and for my daughter's legs (very dry and ashy in the winter), nothing ever worked, especially long term. I heard about this cream from my dermatologist (he wasn't trying to sell it to me--doesn't carry it in his office). The first thing I have to say is that when I opened the jar, the smell was wonderful. In fact, my daughter (4 years old) and I kept smelling it for the 1st week because we thought it was so yummy! I read the other post regarding the smell--I guess it is all up to the individuals smell receptors. I found it to be very mild and clean smelling--no cloying perfume smells. After using it for the first time, there was an immediate result. It is so thick and luxurious. It doesn't completely rub into your skin (which has always been the problem with other products). It leaves a protective, soft barrier over your skin that lasts for awhile. It is not greasy or sticky. This is all I use now. I put it on my heels every night, as well as my daughters legs, and everyone is silky smooth! It is expensive, but it lasts a long time as a small dollop does the trick--you don't need to use that much. I highly recommend this cream.

How I wish I discovered sorbolene cream much earlier. This is the best moisturizing cream I've ever used on my face and neck. In cold and warm weather, my skin remains smooth and moisturized. I've used the whole gamut of facial moisturizers before, costing me anywhere from $5 to over $150 for a tiny jar. My face continued to be extremely dry, my skin cracked. Other products made my condition worse. Until someone recommended sorbolene and I noticed the good results immediately. I now use it alone on my face and neck day and night, the natural smell is not offensive (perfumed products are not good for my ultra-sensitive skin anyway), and just a little dab is all it takes.

It's nice to have another alternative to Benzoyl Peroxide and Salicylic Acid, or even Sulfur. The mainstream products for acne treatments have them. If you read the labels for active ingredients, you'll realize that bottles ranging from affordable to expensive will have the exact same thing in them or at the very least the same % of benzoyl or SA. My skin is extremely sensitive, but is also oily, photosensitive, acne prone, and I've found I can't really used the aforementioned acne fighting additives. I used this product years ago, before they discontinued and revamped it. I was extremely upset that they would do that. The original was (and is still in comparison) a great product. The original was also cheaper and lasted longer (using less). Although it's not as good, this still works kinda. I use this twice a day instead of just at night to help control oil. I use a different, less expensive mattifying lotion, than the one that goes along in the same kit as I found in combination their mattifier didn't work well for me. Overall, the product works to control oil, the packaging is nice, and it's a little overpriced for the size.

Aubrey Organics - Green Tea & Ginkgo Facial Cleansing Lotion, 4 fl oz lotion

i've used aubrey organics green tea facial cleanser for about 10 years. it's the best skin care product i've found. the texture and appearance of my skin definitely improved with continued use. it is the only cleanser that has successfully cleared up the mild adult blemishes i used to experience. i won't use anything else. the green tea moisturizer is also excellent. (neither product is green in color as stated in the other review. they are actually brown. and smell terrific!)

While the Green Tea and Clay line says it's for "normal" skin, it's much better for those with dry or normal-to-dry skin. It's a very moisturizing line overall and contains many essential oils. Out of all of the Aubrey Organics skin care products, I like this one best because the scent is natural and not at all overpowering and it doesn't irritate my allergyand eczema-prone skin. I'm a huge fan of this line and recommend it as a complete skin care line, hands down.

The only reason I didn't give this cleanser five stars is that on occasion, I get bottles that are very watery and much less creamy. When I get a bottle that's creamier, I've found I like it better and feel it does its job more effectively. I saved a pump from one of the AO body lotions and that helps me not make a mess on my counter when I get a runnier bottle. It's very gentle either way, and doesn't have a strong or bad scent; it's a herbal, but in a nice way. (Their line for combination skin, however, does have a very strong scent. This one doesn't.)

My biggest suggestion, if you haven't tried this line, is to find the travel kit for your skin type (usually around ten dollars) that contains mini bottles of the cleanser, toner, moisturizer and mask, and try the whole set without mixing in other brands for a week and see what you think. That's what I did, and it was money well-spent. I discovered it helped considerably with my sensitive, eczema-prone skin and didn't itch/burn like many products do for me. It can all be tough to find in local stores, so buying from amazon or the AO site has been best for me.

Last but not least, don't forget to shake each of the products before using. Shake them a lot, and hard, since they do separate quite a bit. It's not green as the other reviewer stated--she must not have shaken the product enough so she got more essential oils than anything. Shake it a lot!

I had trouble finding a product I could use safely during pregnancy to replace my salicylic acid face wash, and finally I found this one it worked great. worth the price, for sure. minimal number of ingredients, all natural stuff, safe, and doesn't smell too strong (for first trimester smell sensitivity). I used it throughout my whole pregnancy and maintained decent skin (as decent as it could be with all those hormones)! i'll use it again next time I'm expecting.

Great product to use for pets who're not fans of baths or need a little scent booster between baths. Our two cats don't seem to mind it, both purring during a few minutes of a "foam bath". Our dog seems to prefer it over her monthly bath. Easy to use and apply, no gross strong scent and quick to dry. Obviously avoid the area around the eyes and ears. Small amount of foam should be enough, lather and massage into fur until dry.

I am so glad I bought this. I actually bought it because I'm transitioning to a CRUELTY-FREE lifestyle, eliminating products that have been tested on animals. That was selling point #1. But this shampoo is amazing! I take my pitbull to the park a lot and she hates baths, but this shampoo comes out as a foam and you just rub it in and brush or wipe it off. I don't know how it gets her clean, but it does! It has MADE MY LIFE SO MUCH EASIER. My dog gets filthy 3x a week, but tub baths hurt my back, and it's not good for a dog's skin to bathe them that often. (This is why I also bought the JP conditioning spray.) Today, my cat got really smelly and I finally used it on that little stinker too and "wallah," instantly tolerable cat. He didn't even fuss! It was then that I decided I must get on here and review the products from this line. I also LOVE THE SMELL a nice cherry almond scent (same as the John Paul oatmeal dog shampoo & conditioning sprays which I also use and love.) I was using bargain brand shampoo before this one because I'm a student on a budget, but this product was worth the money to me, and I will be buying again.

The wipes do the job and clean your skin but the smell is strong. The ingredient list is appealing and I have read other positive reviews. However for me the smell would be the reason I would not reorder.

I love love this product! I alternate between using this and Desert Essence Tea Tree Oil face wash (if I have a breakout) but it is a dynamic duo. I've done them all, the expensive, the cheap, foam, the gels, everythingbut I love this product. I have combination skin that freaks out with everything. Extremely sensitive, but so dry on my cheeks, extra oily t zone, ectthis product makes me feel actually clean but still soft and not stripped. You can use it dry without wetting your face too. It also makes an amazing makeup remover. HIGHLY recommend it to anyone who has tried them all.

This is one of the best facial cleansers I have ever used and as someone with both sensitive and acne-prone skin, I have tried A LOT of cleansers in my life gel, foam, cream, exfoliating, cheap, expensive, etc. It says that it is meant for dry to normal skin but it works very well for my weird combination skin. This stuff is amazing! You put only a little on your hand, about the size of a nickel, and massage it onto your face in a circular motion for about a minute. Let it sit on your face for a little while, letting it dry slightly and continue massaging your face. It feels a little gross, but this gel helps to remove dirt and oil in your pores as well as the layer of dead skin. Rinse it off with with lukewarm water and then finish off with cold. Pat your face dry and your skin will look like it's glowing. This gel really helped to clear away my acne and black heads as well as help lighten scars that were left from years of fighting acne. However, do not use it every day. I use the gel every two-three days depending on the condition of my skin.

Conju soap: Conju soap is a bar of soap that is made of all natural ingredients and herbs. It lasts a really long time. I bought a bar of soap in mid march and use it every day. It is now July and the bar of soap has barely decreased in size. You're not only limited to using this bar of soap as a facial cleanser, but you can use it for your entire body as well. Conju soap helped to lighten the acne scars on my face and helps to clear and prevent future break outs.

Like all good skin care, after cleansing finish off with a good quality toner and face moisturizer.

I prefer using both of these products over things such as Proactiv, Nutrogena, Clearasil, etc. because the ingredients are all natural, so you aren't putting harsh chemicals on your face.

I have been using the original Purity Made Simple for years now and it always cleanses without stripping or burning your eyes, it removes the most stubborn eye makeup. But there are occasions such as late nights or traveling that bringing a bottle and needing water just won't work. These are amazing! Very soft cloth, removes all makeup gently and thoroughly and no rinsing required. The woman who introduced me to this treatment described it as "spicy" and it is!! It does burn, and does leave your face bright red after using. However once you spray on your toner, the redness disapears in a mater of seconds. It's leaves your face smooth. I use this product in the shower so I'm distracted, and I use it every other day. I have seen differences in my face in only about a week that I have been waiting years to see.

This is not a masque to be used prior to a night out. It is a great treatment to use every couple nights, but it does leave my face and neck red for a while after I remove it (it's gone before morning).
